-------------------Boyd

-------------Becchio Beckford

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Not Derry

Agree7 Disagree1

I dont think that is a poor team. Would like to see a more solid cb than lees, as he will be good, but shouldnt be subjected to as many games as he has been this year. Also need more pace, a DJ Campbell or Adomah.

TeejLUFC

Agree5 Disagree0

I can't believe how many people leave mccormack out of there team . if you don't put him upfront then why not play him down the wing .

Agree5 Disagree1

Need a stronger, more experienced CB than Lees. Lees will be very good in the future and good as backup now. Derry is getting on abit and we need a younger version that will be good for now and in the future. Dont think Beckford is the answer. He scored and missed a lot in league 1 but attitude was often poor. Didnt like is antics with our supporters on the last game; showed a lot of disrespect for his own Leicester team. Not Good. Lets go forward not back.

Agree2 Disagree2

Beckford's "antics" with our supporters? What a load of utter rubbish! What's wrong with a player showing appreciation when fans of a former club offer a great reception?

Would you have been happier if he'd given us two fingers? My word, there's some nonsense written on here!

Agree3 Disagree1

He hasn't got enough pace to play out wide, also its not part of his normal game to track back,he played on the wing at Barnsley in front of Connolly and was shocking

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2012 22:19:33
Paul Robinson anyone? Not a rumour, more of a wish. Don't get me wrong, I like Lonergan, but Robinson as number 1 and Lonners as back up is pretty fierce. Money would obviously be a major stumbling block but who knows, maybe he'd like to go down as even more of a Leeds legend and take a wage cut? Probably just the beer talking now tbh

Believable13 Unbelievable2

I want the same!

Agree9 Disagree1

Be awesome to have Robbo back as captain. Would show intent however his wage and premiership demand is the downfall :(

TeejLUFC

Agree10 Disagree0

Robbo to come back now Blackburn ave gone down

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Why would he leave blackburn? They still have money + parachute payments so just as likely to compete in championship as we are if not more so. Same with Wolves players. I just don`t get why everyone thinks they`re gonna leave relegated prem clubs to come to us.
"T"

Agree1 Disagree2

Blackburn and Wolves will go straight back up next season...Guaranteed.

Agree0 Disagree6

Everyone says that about relegated teams every season. Doesn't always happen.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Not a rumour, this chant won't be taking off in the kop anytime soon.

Agree6 Disagree1

How he acted at Elland Road at Leicester and his response to us makes me live in hope over this rumour. Warnock wanted a player that thrives in front of a proper passionate crowd and Beckford is exactly that. Sign him up!

TeejLUFC

Agree8 Disagree1

I remember his goals, but not sure Warnock would be happy about him rolling round on the floor every game holding his head.

Agree2 Disagree2

^bechio is worse?

Believable2 Unbelievable6

That is a strong team. Don't see Ian Harte coming back, getting on a bit and its his last chance to play in the premier league. Also need another strong cm for the bench but apart from that if the wage budget allows, would definately contend for promotion.

TeejLUFC

Agree5 Disagree0

Ian Harte ? needs the same space as a double decker bus to turn. Sweet left foot, great passer, can jump, has it all but pace. He'll be found out in the premeirship, again!

Paul Robinson is in his last year of his deal at Blackburn like Clayton - how about a swap with Clayton if they come down? Robinson said an interview the other year that he wanted to play again for Leeds before his career ended.

Many pages around facebook and feeds on twitter saying Leeds have agreed a fee with Peterboro for George Boyd and personal terms shouldnt be a problem with deal likely to be done!

What do people think to him? and where would he fit into our team?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Give him a free role on the left of midfield. lawrence and ambrose in the center and snoddy on the right if he stays!

Agree5 Disagree0

Good player, versatile striker who can play CAM also looked good on the ball at ER recently - good signing but needs a hair cut

Agree4 Disagree1

He wouldn't...if he was that good they would have tried top keep him

Agree2 Disagree1

Be worried, Boyd signing could mean Snoddy's off.

Agree1 Disagree4

Cracking player

Agree3 Disagree0

Good signing, has a better games per goal ratio at Peterborough than Snoddy has with us, would be great on the opposite wing with Snoddy and him switching. Would be far too much for a lot of defences to handle.

Sign him up.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 May 2012 18:57:04

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Jermaine Beckford has been placed on the transfer list by Leicester City

could leeds put a bid in

Believable8 Unbelievable3

07 May 2012 18:24:03
Would love to see mills bertrand come in to sure the defence up. For the midfield a think varmey could play on the left for us. Sign one of clingan norris or butterfield and try get in a young player from the prem on loan like delph. Iceing on the cake wud be beckford up top with ross :D

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Bertrand would be an insane signing, even though it would be against the anti loan stance. But can see him being loaned out to a premier league club next year.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 May 2012 18:19:07
John pantsil has become avalible on a
free transfer, any thoughts on him
Coming to Leeds, how do you rate him
as a player ?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

He was half decent at Fulham, but failed to hit it off at Leicester for what ever reason that may be. Depending on wage could be a good squad player if Connolly is shifted out.

TeejLUFC

Agree2 Disagree0

The reason any player fails to hit it off at leicester because they have about 300 players

Agree1 Disagree0

07 May 2012 17:50:48
If we overhaul the squad this year with players who will 'do the job' and get us promoted fair enough but what happens next summer if we do get up..we struggle in prem and likely come back down with those players or have another overhaul and bring in prem quality players (unlikely under bates waited long enough for this 1)..we have to get the right players NOW not a quick fix and most of the names being linked might get us up but aren't good enough to keep us up if that does happen

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I thihkn leeds are the sort of club that can attract bigger names than most other teams coming up from the championship. west ham is another good example that players are attracted to

Agree2 Disagree0

Ya i could see players wanting to join us if we got up but with all the activity this summer i think if bates doesn't sell up (also warnock says he's retiring next year) he'll bring in another puppet and make him work with the champ level players brought in this year lile when we came up from L1 and tell the fans tough we spent last year.imo don't think we'll get promoted anyway with all the new faces we'll bring in it'll take a season to gel anyway and thre will be a lot of competition for top 2..maybe play offs though

Agree3 Disagree0

Lets not run before we walk ,were not even in PL yet and your talking of coming straight back down.whats important is were heading in the right direction.Go get a dose of optimism. No room in The Leeds United Promotion Journey for pessimism, weve ALL had enough of that. MOT

Agree4 Disagree0

Imo i don't think the likes of green, clingan or sheff utd rejects is the way to go..I think the likes of bothroyd, boyd, mills, bamba, ambrose if we could get them would be a good start cos they have the ability to play prem football.if we're not aiming to sign these type of players now then why release a load of average champ players to just bring in another raft of average champ players it makes no sense

Agree2 Disagree0

Sorry if it sounded pessimistic with warnock in charge and the pearce signing i'm actually optimistic.Just tryin to say that with bates track record of not spending and after getting rid of a load of players who wern't good enough for leeds and with promotion the aim now has to be the time when we get some quality in to get promoted and build the base of a prem team if we are serious about going up..MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with response 3. Very optimistic about this year, but if we get promoted *touch wood* then i will take the luxury of struggling to sign players but being in that position. Although i dont think that will be the case with a club as prestigious as ours and the facilities that we have, not to mention we have the best fans in the country. Also i think you will find young Kenneth will be looking for investment and a possible take over if we get promoted once the stock in Leeds significantly increases.

Lets take one step at a time, MOT.

TeejLUFC

Agree3 Disagree0

All this talk of getting in to PL, is a bit ott.

Nearly a new team, needs time to gel, also with the teams thats are coming down it will be even more difficult next season. i think our best chance will be playoffs.

Hope we are all singing....... Utd are back

One bone to pick about the contracts, Warnock clearly stated that he will have a CLEARER view in the next few weeks on the contract the decisions as talks are on going and they're talking to there families. Unless you're apart of the management team of leeds united or of there families then I suggest you keep your unaccurate posts to yourselves as you don't know anything until its announced.

The chat in the village is that the "wee man" David Healy is considering a move to Leeds. He was as you all remember top scorer, joint or otherwise the three seasons he was at ER. I am not sure how the news gets back to his home village, but the move sto Fulham and Glasgow Rangers were called befor the were made public.

Believable0 Unbelievable9

So much bulls**t. I live in "the village" area of Belfast and not heard anyone says this. Wouldn't want him back either.

Agree3 Disagree0

Read the post again bone head and re post with an apology, where is Healy from? Somewhere you obviously have never heard of...the Village of Killyleagh, ask an adult where it is.
You are from that enclave between Donegal Road and Tates Avenue, I live in Killyleagh, so I bow to your greater knowledge of what is the chat in Killyleagh.

Heard that Neil doesnt totally fancy Ross McCormack.
Thinks he goes missing in a lot of games - as do many of hte other players in the squad.Apparently a swap deal is in the air for another high profile Championship striker who would be a big addition to the squad. Craig Mackaill Smith

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Swap deal? Don't think so. Can see Mackail-Smith being of serious interest to mid-table premiership clubs.

Anyone else think that Liam Lawrence and Chris Maguire could be two quality CMs for us? Both would be under 500K and are very creative CMs who can also play out wide. Lawrence is 30 and Maguire is 22 meaning that Maguire would gain lots of experience!

Lonergon
Lichaj---Pearce---Lees---White

Somma

'' Neil Warnock revealed that Somma is on course to take part in pre-season, which begins provisionally for Leeds on July 4 and in earnest on July 11, and he admitted that Jones had identified much to admire in the strikers game.

Warnock said: Mick loves him. I've not seen a lot of him but Mick has and he loves him.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I love him too and ive seen him play. Roll on Somma

Forgive me for the comparison, but has a similar style to berbatov in that his technique is as good as any and can finish.

I'm all for the casino! The west stand seriously needs a bit of doing up and I've always dreamt of a second upper tier! The future is bright, MOT!

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I like the idea of an increased capacity and apparently there are plans for a station to be built as well in future years near the stadium (if we go up probably)

Agree1 Disagree1

Well said get the whole club ready for the big time

Agree1 Disagree1

And how are going to fill another upper tier?
Its hard enough filling the ground as it is without adding another five thousand.
I dont think i could cope with visiting fans constantly singing "your grounds too big for you".

Agree4 Disagree1

If you build it they will come, field of dreams lol
