Who's pulling l.u.s.t 's strings not a word over takeover for weeks, since on/off saga. Have they been silenced by bates or potential buyers etc? Come on boys we were told by you mr lust chairman we can dare to Believe so believe what you've been silenced to smooze up with bates to score u brownie points and get in bed with him to make u feel important etc? Lust reply if you've got the plums....p.s with the facts.
Kella74

Believable7 Unbelievable4

LUST are nothing but a bunch of self important strokers, they are not recognised by the club and have no more information than we do. They only have so many members due to our desperation to find out more info.

Agree7 Disagree7

LUST, not recognised by the club. NEWS FLASH, the fans are not recognised by the club. The only way we are going to get a point across is through LUST. It needs organisations like this to get sad old men to listen. Why don't you ask Bates how much of the last 3 yrs player sales, have actually gone back into the squad? Don't forget to say thankyou when he calls you a MORON, for asking questions.
BATES OUT!!
mot4life

Agree4 Disagree3

Well if you had paid attention to what KB has said about the fees from player sales you would know that he said the money has gone in to fees for new players and loan player wages, the manager is free to spend the money allocated to the squad fees/wages as he sees fit as long as it stays with in budget.

Agree2 Disagree6

To mot4life completely correct. Bates out!!!!

Agree1 Disagree4

Mot4life, go check the context in which Mr Bates used the word you speak of,I am content that he did not call me a moron, but then that would not suit your blinkered argument.

Agree2 Disagree0

The funny thing is, LUST think they speak for the fans, which is utter tripe

Why dont people grow up, suggesting boycotting games because they don't like the chairman. So what ! Do Man U fans like their owner ? -NO, most fans of clubs dislike their owners because they all want them to buy Messi, don't forget it is a business
I am not a fan of Papa Smurf but if he leaves, nothing will change until the next transfer window
Also, people need to realise that if Papa Smurf hadn't have turned up, we would be where Rangers are now, shafted and in debt
We have a decent team, better than last year with a better manager so grow a pair and just support the team and whinging like kids

Believable10 Unbelievable13

ARE YOU MAD!! Man u still spend money on desent players. Instead are money just disapears into thin air, thats not the same at all.
Yes the team have started good so far but we are 2=3 injurys away from end of season. Norris out, Green out, Brown out. Thats are midfield, who's going to replace them because we already know there is no money left in the club. Whats happened to this profit we are now making and the sales of are good players. I have to be honest, you are in la, la, land.
BOYCOTT!! BATES OUT, BATES OUT!!

How can anybody disagree with the last post you are clearly deluded bates out, bates out all the way

Agree10 Disagree4

Okay, we have got the message mot4life, and it is getting old. Have a check of the feedback on your recent rants, your views ARE not as popular in the real world as they ARE in your sweetie mice world.
Maybe you should take more stock of OUR opinions.
You would have us believe that you want Bates out, then you say boycott Bates out, what do you want?
I must have missed the new rule that means a teams season finishes as soon as they have 2/3 INJURIES. So who gets the points for the games they do not play?

Agree11 Disagree8

Go on then sweety mice, i'm all ears. Who,s going to come in and fill these positions, I'm dieing for your wisdom. Please don't say all the youth players because that is just a sh==e answear.
Tell me also, what is going to happen come January and we need to get some players in? Remember theres no juice in the tank but there should be.
Over to you.
mot4life

Agree4 Disagree6

Spot on mate, it's been old for a long time.
wish he'd find something else to do unless he's got something usefull to say.
today he asks what happened to the profit we're making, yet usually we're heading for administration according to him.

Agree5 Disagree2

Another thing in answear to your question, which do i want, bates out or boycott. Well lets see, if you asked the person who has only said boycott and the person that only said bates out. What do you think the answear would be? I guess it is safe to say that bothe are one and the same. Which means there bothe, hopefully! goin to get the same out come. So it is safe to say that you are a lonely person with no partner, to come on here with a pointless arguement and not even have the balls to sign off. How can anyone take you seriouse. As for people disagreeing to my lower post. Why don't you have a read of some of the lower post by other people. Then you will see what real fans think.
So i will finish with and always will until that clown is out of are club.
BOYCOTT(The same) BATES OUT(Also the same)

I think you are a little sad, pulling someone up for there spelling mistakes. Which makes me think you are just like Bates and have money. So you belittle people and think there beneathe you,(Hope i've spelled that right, as i also am not a good speller.) Why don't you just concentrate on the arguement about his post and not his spelling.

Now Michael Brown struggling with a hamstring. So who does Austin play with in centre of park precisely? I'd put Diouf in there and ask Byram to start on the right Varney on left with Pugh (bet NW pleased he's stayed) as utility cover for all these positions from the bench. NW will have to think smarter now and use his utility player (Pugh) correctly.

Presumably we also have a recall button on the Rogers loan deal. 1 more injury to anyone who isn't a defender and I suggest we activate it.

BATES OUT. GET A CHAIRMAN WHO ACTUALLY PUTS MONEY IN! I DON'T THINK KEN HAS EVEN PUT A PENNY OF HIS OWN MONEY IN SINCE HE STARTED.

What happens when other players are injured? We've only just started the season and the signs are already there for all to see. Bates couldn't care less if we go up or down. If he did he would invest a little of his own money, like other chairmans do. Why bring in Warnock with no money because he thought we would be happy with just that. Thats how GULLABLE! he thinks we are.
BOYCOTT!! BATES OUT, BATES OUT!!

Well said mate we need to get bates out of are club for good enough is enough now mot4ver!

Agree4 Disagree2

Zac Thompson has done absolutely nothing to prove he's good enough for the Championship yet.

Agree6 Disagree1

For the person who disagreed about Thompson - go on then, what has he done to suggest he can play in the Championship and not be a passenger?

Agree3 Disagree1

About the Thompson comment, its fans like you that make me feel ashamed to support this club, give the lad a chance in his NATURAL position and he will do very well

Agree1 Disagree2

Regarding Thompson, what makes you think he'll do very well? Because he's young? I watched him play for the Development team last week and even though he scored a good goal he didn't stand out in the game by any means. If he doesn't stand out at that level he won't do much in the Championship. This is my opinion, we're all entitled to one so stop being such a bleeding drama queen! "Ashamed to support this club" - honestly! People ARE allowed different opinions to you!

Top five most hated chairman

Joint Top 1.Ridsdale/Bates
Chicken Guy at Blackburn
Gold/Sullivan/ Brady West Ham
Geoff Richmond Bradford city

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Think your wrong there I would say Bates as aclpsed (is aclpsed a word if not it can be one now) Ridsdale

Ridsdale was stup stupid with the finances BUT he did what he did because he wanted Leeds to be the best in europe
He fecked up.
What Bates as dune is doing is motiveted by pour self gread and nothing more without any consern for For Leeds United and them connected to the club.
He is no more no less than a aset striper and sits fermly a top my list of most hated men on the planet as the sh-t this man as puled stretches way beyond Leeds United

Agree6 Disagree5

I don't think Gold/Sullivan/ Brady (especially Brady) are that unpopular with the West Ham fans... Stan Kroenke and the rest of the Arse..nal crew are fairly hated right now... David Haigh WILL be amazing! #MOT #PEN4KEN EssexWhite!

Agree with the post half defending risdale he did what we all wanted
His biggest mistake was backing a naive manager with silly money
Players like fowler and Seth Johnson we never needed especially at there price but what would we give for bates to start throwing some cash around now
Risdale was a fan and wanted to return us to glory
Bates is a c--t who despises Leeds as he constantly reminds us and is lining his own pocket
I hope him and his short tounge and shorter arms aren't at elland road much longer
As a footnote my favourite chairman is the glazer bloke for trying his best to ruin those persons

Everyone is right to there opinion with boycotting games or not... at the end of the day we all support leeds, and people react in different ways... but Leeds is still in there heart! so instead of us all turning on eachover for whether the should boycott or not... we should all be united in the one things that we love LEEDS! so people please stop belittling other fans just beacuse there opinion or views are different.. MOT!! (TOGETHER the key word!)

L3EDS

Believable5 Unbelievable2

There is very little MOT within our fan base. Thats one thing that is for sure....!

Agree4 Disagree1

Its fair to say bates has divided the fans

Agree8 Disagree3

You can't hold bates to blame for everything. Fans should look within, look at our cponduct look at fake rumours, spreading of conjecture within our fan base, in fighting. Thats nothing to do with bates I could go on, but one thing thats for sure is that bates is not solely to blame.

Agree7 Disagree4

I think it's because a lot of people have realised (about time) that the only thing Bates cares about is money. If the only way he will bail out is when it hits him in the pocket then so be it. It's blind loyalty when the same bloke who takes your hard earned week in, week out calls us people and we still turn up FFS!

Agree2 Disagree2

Ok then if bates isnt to blame then who is stop sticking up for that parasite he is running are club into the ground with his dodgy dealings the sooner you and all the bates lovers out there realise that the better love leeds hate bates?

Agree5 Disagree3

It is all bates fault . hes a greedy person . what do you think is going to happen if we dont go up this season ? ill tell you , bates will make the sale of all our top players and put nothing back into the transfer fees he will then attempt to see leeds united with no buyers interested and all the marches starting up again effecting the team and we will end up relegated to league 1 again with no money and a worse squad . bates won't sell the club once relegated as he wont get the money he wants and we will be stuck with him for another 5 + yrs .

BATES OUT

Agree1 Disagree3

Everything is bates fault he is the instigator
The reaction of us fans differs from boycotting games to chanting bates out to not buying merchandise

I have just been reading the confidence votes in KB, as nearly 80 percent of the fans have no confidence why don't the shareholders ask for him to step down ? When you talk about KB there some things that you can be assured of , he doesn't give a sh-t about the club , the fans or the future it's all about the money , he is unfit to be our chairman , he has to go and we ALL have to stop spending money at ER .... Buy your ticket and watch the game , but that's it , take your own hot drink and food , we have to stop giving this man our money .... I ask you all you all to show your discontent by staying away at the everyone game, vote with your feet nd hit him were it hurts .... His pocket !

This boycotting of games is just a ploy by the arm chair fans who never really go to games to have an excuse not to go to games, they bring the conjecture and anti bates bs to sites like this. The gate hasn't been greatly affected since this started and any negative gate % can be simply explained at the general economic state of the country as a whole. All football clubs are experiencing the same. Boycott as much as you want as to be honest I don't want you at Leeds games. {Ed013's Note - You get your die hards that go whatever the situation. You get the working class that really struggle to pay the prices and go when they can, the fans that won't go whilst Mr Bates is there and then I believe that leaves what you call the "armchair fans". The thing that annoys me the most is the prices. There are fans out there that would love to go, but can't due to the high prices and what ever Leeds says, most the other clubs cater for their fans better and don't have a problem with "extra staff costs". You will get your armchair fans everywhere for most clubs that just love to gob off, but cant name a player on the team sheet. What I want to see is the fans turning up because it is affordable, this club is pushing fans away due to greed. The die hard fans should be rewarded for there constant support and then maybe, one day the armchair fans will turn up. Lets not forget the fans that just won't go until Mr Bates has left the building and the passionate fans that live abroad that Love Leeds United that would come more if things change}

Believable8 Unbelievable11

Good call Ed, most people these days have less money to chase things they want, but which cost more.
I know the people running clubs would purport to have forgotten more about business than most of us will ever know,
but business is mathematics with money attached.
15 fans at a game at £20 is £300.
10 fans at a game at £25 is £250.
And that is before those extra 5 fans buy anything at the ground to "enhance their matchday experience"

Agree16 Disagree0

The ticket pricing at ER is fine imo this season, yes in years gone by it has been wrongly priced, which in effect has priced working class out of matches but look at the pricing this season it fits the bill for club and fan alike. A lot of fans imo are just using the pricing as an excuse as a reason not to go when in truth they wouldn't go any way, before the birth of the premier league LUFC gate wasnt great then. The league cup game against Everton is well priced and true fans should go and pay respect to speeedo who served both clubs so well.

Agree1 Disagree9

First poster - absolute drivel. 3 of the 5 people I've gone with for years, decades in one case, have not renewed their season tickets this year. Two of them are financially very well off so price isn't an issue for them. The issue is Bates. I'd be interested to know how you can justify describing someone who's been going to ER week in week out for 4 decades as an 'armchair fan'.

As for the prices, 5th highest in the country. How can that be described as OK for second tier football. The prices are scandalous. I'm lucky, I don't have to think about the cost, but if this had all happened 10 years ago before my business took off would I be paying those prices to line Bates's pension fund? Don't think so..
ML

Agree4 Disagree1

Since when is our tickets the 5th highest, complete utter conjecture that has been said that many times that it's now "true"

Agree1 Disagree1

To second reply: yes, I am one of those fans who uses the price of tickets as an excuse for not going to games, simply put, I cannot afford to go to all the games I want to, the pricing does not "fit my bill", I cut my cloth accordingly, so bite me.
I also cannot afford to go to some of the best holiday resorts in the world, so using your argument, I would not be a true holiday maker either, bite me twice.
I know nothing about you, but please remember, the price of something only matters to someone who has trouble paying for it.
If you are not one of those people, good luck to you, in the mean time, bite me thrice.
And what gives you the right to bring the tragedy of Gary Speed into the equation?
You do not even have enough respect to spell his name properly.
I cannot make the game so, according to you, I am not a true fan. I think I will be able to live with it.
Go look up sanctimonious sometime soon.

Agree14 Disagree1

Looks like I was wrong about the ticket price - just did some research into that - I took took the often quoted line as gospel. However, the price is very high if you remove the London clubs from the equation and I maintain that it is way too high for what we're getting in terms of investment in players.

A message to ken bates : Ken a very good friend has been on your payroll for the sat 5 years, he has told me that over 80 percent of the staff, At Elland Road want you to go and think that you are the wrong man for the job, there is also around 25,000 fans that agree with them , intake the money and spend some time with your grand children, if you are the buisness man I think you are then you will now your time has come to an end, if you stay you you can be assured of less profits .... I like the idea of boycotting the cup games, especially as the game against Everton is on Sky. Sky have choosen that game partly due to the chance that Leeds might win against premiership opposition but mainly that there should be a great atmosphere at Elland road. If the ground is empty then Sky won't pick anymore Leeds games to show, hitting Mr Bates again in the wallet.

And yes I know we should support the team but to he honest with our paper thin squad I don't want any extra games where injuries could occur and also history shows that any team that goes on a cup run, there league form suffers which at the end of the day I would rather be in the premiership than winning a cup. For now anyway, I have dreams of us winning a domestic triple at some point :)

I have a theory on what has happened with the investment/takeover, before it is picked apart i want to point out that i am NITK and it is only my opinion. I think NW told Ken from the word go that he could not guarantee promotion within the financial constraints SG had to work under, KB will not invest any of his personal wealth on the team so therefore put feelers out for investors to come in with a cash injection. We know Americans were interested and shown around ER and TA but for whatever reason did not invest, then came along the present consortium who are more interested in a complete buyout. I'm pretty sure KB has no intention of selling but could be swayed with a big payout so therefore let them carry out due dilligence knowing there would be an offer tabled at the end. Meanwhile the lads have had a fantastic start to the campaign which leaves KB in a quandry, in his mind if they keep winning there could be the riches of a promotion payout, if they don't should he take the offer knowing that there might not be another and as the team slip down the league and the gate receipts dwindle the clubs worth decreases. Hes hedging his bets at the moment and until he makes up his mind were stuck in limbo. I reckon the best we can expect for the moment is an investment deal where the consortium fund and controls the footballing side of things and KB concentrates on megalomania.

a_scarborough_white

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Do you really believe that a takeover happens by doing due diligence first then discuss terms afterwards, why would both parties go to all that length and through such costly process, to find out at the end they was only going to offer an amount which you wouldn't accept. Please get real.

Why bring in nw and then give him no money ..... Answer : kB is starving the club of money so that we don't go up .... NW could get this club up if he was given a few million ... If he won't support our club then I can now longer give him my hard earned money , if he went we would have gates back around the 30,000 mark ..... He keeps telling us he wants wants what is best for the club .... What a load of cra* ... He has to go or at least step down .... I will not be go to ER untill he has gone .... If you have to go .... Nice to see Rodolph on the score sheet in Jamaicas 2-1 win over the USA. Think the next step should be that he is made Leeds captain and then sold on to a smaller club for a big fat profit and the money lodged in a bank account in Monaco. Saved our club, my ar5e.

It saddens me to read that Leeds fans are threatening to stay away from ER and that some already are. No-one wants bates but why deprive yourselves of going to watch the white shirt. On match days you share a passion for the team, for everything Leeds stands for, what it means to you, memories of your first match, great players etc and you share it with 20,000 plus other people you don't know. Talk to any of them and they feel the same as you, they also hate bates but go to ER to support and share a passion for Leeds. If you can afford to go every week or once a season then you should go, life is too short to my friends. Bates wil one day go yet we are Leeds, not anyone else and we are leeds, we are the greatest.

At a time when NW and the players need all the support they can get from us some fans stay away! Come on, get down the ground and be Leeds.

Slate me if you want but bates or no bates on a sat I will spend my hard earned cash at ER because I am Leeds and nothing or no-one will ever change that

Believable10 Unbelievable7

I agree. It would be great if we could get 40,000 for Everton.
I think if anyone has to protest it should be after the game. Have a sit in. The world coverage would be great. Imagine the headlines. 40,000 Leeds fan put aside their hatred for Bates to support their team for 90 minutes and as one after the game unite in protest against Bates with a sit in.

Agree5 Disagree5

I totally understand where your coming from and it pains me (honestly) to turn my back on the boys at a time where they need our support more than ever.. but the clue is in the team name UNITED unless we all unite against the bates regime nothing will ever get done, for a short time boycott could be in the long run the best solution - otherwise bates will fuel his greed on the most loyal supporters in the world

Bates out

Woody LUFC

Agree6 Disagree5

Bates has his dirty hands around our hearts - it takes courage to fight for freedom and stand for what is right. Whilst you are well meaning your attitude is one dependence of the weak upon the strong and Bates knows this. His investment is not only in the team it is in you and your loyalty. Sometimes we have to have the courage to deprive ourselves for a short time to get the rewards we want long term. I sympathize with loyal fans but there is only one way to rid ourselves of the leech that is draining the lifeblood of our team. Sorry to say so but that is the truth as I see it.

Agree2 Disagree1

Agree fully with the original post. The bottom line is if the gimp does not go, with a paltry £50 mill. hanging out of his pocket, as supporters we need to organise properly, via LUSC or who/what-ever, support Neil & the Team to the hilt, and make it absolutely clear that we consider Bates to be a parasite, a liar and a cheat. He us just a tight old git with transfer cash.
