Leeds borrowed against future season tickets and catering revenue while Bates was in charge, the man was an even bigger leech than I thought, no wonder he could make the books look good what a t. t that man is.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Borrowed money for the boxes in east stand. a stand that we do not own. why didn, t he borrow the money amnd buy the ground back saving us the rent. mick b

I really don't believe any other manager would of done a much better job than BMD this season. let's face it, the club has been doomed from the greatest of heights for a long time and even more so this campaign! People blame tactics, formation, and team selection but everyone has their own opinion including the manager and he's the one whos opinion matters, its his job. Not long ago folk were loving the back three but once it turned rubbish everyone saying what's BMD playing at! Zaliukas, for some reason just went to rubbish. After orginaly being, what I thought, our best CB in years. Anyway, what i'm basically saying is let's give the man a chance to turn things around beacuse, like I say, nobody else would of done much better, MOT.

Just read that Massimo has paid a tax bill for us of 500,000 to stop a winding up order, by the sounds of it there's many more "hidden" debts to come, what I want to know is if anyone can help why is he going to pay off everything yet owns only 75% shouldn't these sort of bills be split 75/25? I don't know how it works at the top end of business but it looks so far that he's going to pay for everything and the are going to sit back with there 25% and do nothing till we hopefully get to the prem them sell for a profit which seems to me like very unfair business. Can someone shed some light

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I imagine that Cellino is no fool, he would have carried out due diligence so knew what he was getting into and I am sure he would have weighed up the asking price against what he needs to spend to steady the ship, Cellino may have struck a deal that with GFH for the purchase of the remaining 25%. what like about Cellino is that he seems to have a passion for owning and running a high profile football club and it s not just a business for him.

I am very excited about the summer and next season, and yes I have felt the same for many a year now but this time I think there will be some good coming our way.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get to the prem, stay there for one season we will get 160m and 60m parachute payment . I think he has just taken a massive gamble . I think he has got huge confidence in the ideas he has got for us . I am afraid gfh just look like parrasites .

Cellino in the Peacock, drinking Lager with the fans. A great way to start for the Italian. Says McDernut will stay until the summer. Like it or not were stuck with a manager that doesn't know his best eleven and the players clearly aren't giving 100% for him. Hold on fans next five could be a bumpy ride. On On On

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In the Peacock! I have been in there for most of the seasons second halfs and not the only one there are loads of us.
Possibly MC will be joining us as it is better than watching that rubbish we have had to put up with.
Hope it will change but I can't see it with the manager and squad we have but still keeping the faith!

some people just come on here to rant and slate players. hunt isn't doing anything I agree, but to slate pearce, Warnock, brown, tonge, murph and smith is just wrong. pearce Is best CB we have, Warnock is an experienced LB, brown is just brown, tonge is the only midfielder who likes to be on the ball, smith can sometimes can be unplayeable, and murphy is young and learing the nitty gritty part of the championship. Just support the lads for gods sake

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's the relegation form performances that annoy me, lost the last 5, one win in 12, haven't scored in 3, Numerous thrashings, it's a joke, I've been attending all season and how anyone can defend the team or manager is beyond me, individuals won't keep us up it's the collective group that will be the downfall to div1 if something isn't sorted soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the. OP .It's become a witchunt on certain players, Austin, Lees, Kebe, Hunt, must wish they had never come to Leeds, as all the so called supporters of the club use them as scapegoats. It was Brown last year, and now people on here are saying that at least he plays for the shirt. Last year the same peole were saying he was totally rubbish, and just looking for a last pay day. Negative Sheep .
Next Mowatt will be getting it, as he hasn't been that great lately . ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find that most fans praised the players you mentioned it is the rest that everybody is unhappy with
I would keep if I could out of the normal match day squad contracts permitting of course the following McCormack, Smith, Warnock, Pearce, Austin, Mowatt, Byram and Murphy the rest I would like to go freeing up about 12-14 spaces in our squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh hunt as been doing alright lately

Agree0 Disagree0

"Tbh hunt as been doing alright lately"

you have to be joking, this guy is allegedly on 25K a week, that is OVER A MILLION POUNDS A YEAR?

No wonder we are in debt!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, his goal scoring record in a white shirt is awesome.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give credit where it's due but at the same time give brick bats where due as well. No PC drivel thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not hunts fault he's on 25k a week, i'm not a fan of him but must admit he puts a shift in when he's picked.
I'm sure if GFH offered you 25k a week you wouldn't turn round and say NO just give me 15k?

AndyMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I am sure it is Kebe on 25K a week and MC was mistaken by Hunt}

Wouldn't it be a good idea if the fans actually stopped talking and got together to buy back either ER or TA.
Show real love of the club.
Jeff

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Why? Cellino has promised to buy them}

Been on the afternoon cocktails again Jeff? You do make me laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Jeff but sometimes you amaze me, you can contact doctor MYHEADHASGONE on 051 **********

GOOD LUCK ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Bet you don't post this.
Massimo will buy the ground because he has to to avoid the ban on player transfers next year unless the FL change their rule as 8 clubs are in trouble.
However he can't buy TA but the fans could which would probably guarantee a seat on the board.
I think it's about time the fans had a little loyalty from the owner don't you?
Jeff

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah because all of us leeds fans can get together and get the 20mill or whateva it is to buy them, what a silly thing to say

Agree0 Disagree0

What is the re-purchase price of Thorpe Arch?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong, TA is less than 7 mill.
So 10000 fans paying £20 a month for say 4 years buys it and with seat discounts to buyers.
Work out the maths yourselves.
With interest that would leave a good bit over with the club paying rent at the current level.
Simples
Jeff

Agree0 Disagree0

Tops £7 mill

Agree0 Disagree0

. think it would better for the fans to buy the remaining 25% of the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Why exactly can Cellino buy Elland Road but not buy Thorpe Arch? He is perfectly capable of buying both.

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeff I might be wrong but wasn't one of MC first comments in January "I WANT the training ground closer to elland road"
Maybe he's not interested in Thorpe arch?

;)

AndyMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I think it would be a shame to lose TA, its in a nice area and gives the players the extra buzz of coming to ER on match days due to it being away from the ground, although this current squad probably couldn't get a buzz off of herbal high (Replace with buzz of your choice)}

Lol ED I agree just relaying what MC said but people do change their minds ;)

{Ed013's Note - I know mate, he may do that}

Think its obvious that bmcd won't be with us next season, but who else thinks he needs to go now to give us any chance of getting that one more win I think we need

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Apr 2014 11:37:43
what is bmd going to change exactly to make us better and why have off field issues caused us to play awful and for the players effort to lack.?
ok he can prob get in more players., but he had chance to do that and got it wrong, won't he just do that again?
hunt, stewart, kebe, murphy, zaliukas, truly awful times at leeds for them.
only matt smith has been ok.
and butland can't judge, we know he's good but he's had no protection at all.
he has to go 100%, any other team would have done that by now.hes been lucky to have no one in charge.
the players are not playing for him and that's a big worry.
even ross who said he backed him hasn't been himself lately.
we need new manager, new ideas and players who know what it takes to get us out this league.
for gods sake burnley have no names but taking this league apart.good manager.
and even leicester haven't spent loads but collated a good squad.nugent is class at this level.
come on cellino, I know u will sort it out.your turnover is down because what is served up is drivel,
shrew leeds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Trouble with BMAC is he played it safe with some of his signings by employing his mates such as Kebe & Hunt. They have let him down totally and it has backfired. For me both of those players are in their twilight years and are finished. He talks of picking a team of players that are are strong and need to dig in for Saturday but I'm struggling to find one. God help us!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll tell you why. Because we have at best average players but worse than that Pearce Ross and Browny apart they are weak-minded characters. When you combine that dynamic with what I said all along that McD can't handle the size of a club like Leeds and the pressure which goes with it you get a recipe for disaster. Blind leading blind. Like I said all along the clues were there, his constant references to Reading. The off field saga did not help but because they are weak-minded they capitulated. We need a new team. I'd sell virtually everyone except Pearce. Ross bound to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not backing BMD to stay but I think your wrong about the signings ( I fact I know your wrong )
BMD gave GFH a list of players he wanted, he didn't get ANY players from his list. GFH told him you can bring players in if you offload the wage bill, hence Morrison (milwall) etc leaving.
Like I say I can't say I'm enjoying the football at the moment but if you don't get the players you originally wanted ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

What happened with Zaliukas? He started really well, looked a class act .Then had a nightmare against Sheff Wed, and not really been seen since. Something must have sparked that, and same thing could've happened with other players.

Agree0 Disagree0

ED might put ya right on that one but I heard zalukas turned up intoxicated?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - I believe he was under the influence for the Sheff Wed game}

So sick of this season. dreadfull players except 3 dreadfull manager. thank god for massimo.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed, for us fans matchday is the highlight of our week, but the past few months I now expect us to lose no matter who were playing, Mac is at a loss as to how to turn it around, he said last nights match was embarassing to watch, who brought the players in, who picks the team and tactics Mac, just because you did it at Reading proves nothing, different players, smaller club, sides now look forward to playing us, an easy points for them, at least play players in their best positions and instill some pride and passion in em, and your best mate Hunt wouldn't score if they gave him a ball on his own, total waste of money, like most of your signings, relegation under your leadership is now a distinct possibility, time to go Mac.

Went to Watford what a shambles only good thing when Stewart came on went past players for fun but why play him on left when he is right footed l think if he plays there he will get confidence and be okay as for the other crap THAT WORE OUR SHIRT where is your pride why not give our talented youth a chance .We must win Saturday against Blackpool so let's all go and show our support for our new owner he must have balls of steel unlike the dross l watched last night.mot

MC quote from yesterday"To tell the truth, for more than a month I have been considering nothing because at this time the only goal is to bring the boat to port and not put anything at risk."
Isn't that what got him in trouble in the first place?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Apr 2014 09:32:56
Wots goingvon eya. sam byram injured and no back up right back. Plays wooton there. Why not lees he has exoerience as a right back. Wooton can't pkay there at all.

Stewart not picked. I know he ain't the best but has pace to in behind the backline.

Mccormack played out wide when clearly our goals from him have come from attack.

Butland the worst goalkeeper I've seen in a leeds shirt. no communication never controls the men in front of him and let's in easy goals. wigan for example. the header last nite. waste of money. ken ny is a far better keeper than butland

Mcdermott ure time is up. do the decent thing and resign becos u haven't got wot it takes to turn things around.

In fact why not give me a call to assist on how its actually done i'm sure I can help out.

Play the players in their strongest positins and play to their strengths.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wooton apparently played right back over there at his last club but i'm not sure looked to get ripped apart down his side last night, poor decision letting peltier out on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

The abuse Peltier got the last game he played from 'the best fans in the world' was probably what made him want to leave.

Edo13 what happened to Somma, surely now would be the right time to give him a chance. We need goals and a fit Somma could score them

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - As far as I know he is still a free agent and wouldn't be able to be registered to play. Unfortunately I think Somma's days at this level are over}

Very worried now, I think we need 3 points to be safe, but just can't see where they are coming from, please lads, have some pride, at least in yourselves! I think the FL will rubber stamp the takeover while chuckling into their G & T's now we know the size of the mess Cellino has taken on. We are not in hospital he said, well after seeing the GFH report yesterday we were on life support and if the takeover had not gone through we would have soon ended up in the morgue. I salute you Mr Cellino, you must have balls of titanium to take this shambles on!

I bet now Mr C is thinking what I have I let myself in for. It will be a long hard road for him but I do think he will get us to where we want to be. I don't think he will splash out big money because he has got to get rid of the debt that the persons have built up but next season consoldite begin building a team. As he said the fans own the club and I think it will be a hell of a ride about to start.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Apr 2014 05:16:43
I think he has to sack mcd
Relegation too close for comfort and would make prem too far away. Cellino has to act now! Not sure how or what can be changed on pitch! Have we 11 players who are capable of winning, want to play and want to win? I don't think so. Even if we just keep 5-6 in team, who replaces the dropped players!
We are in the creek, lads!
Good luck celly boy, these next few games are the biggest of your career in football. Show us how its done!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One option could be to give the kids a chance? Drop the dead-wood players and let the youth have a go. Yes there's a chance we'd get destroyed, but would the kids play with more pride and passion the the dead-wood "first team"? No, they'd be playing their shirts off, they'd be gaining some valuable senior experience and they'd probably not do half as bad as the money-grabbing cretins that "play" for us at the moment. I'm not talking about fielding a bunch of 11 year olds, but you get my point!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been saying this for the last 3 or 4 games. The first team bunch are worse than poor!

We have people like Dawson, Cairns, Walters, Stokes, Lenighan, Thompson and I'm sure there are others too.

Throw in the people who have shown they are still willing to battle (McCormack, Byram, Pearce, Mowatt) and people like Poleon, Smith and White on the bench surely we can get 11 players who can pick up a few points between now and the end of the season.

Butland, Wootton, Lees, Warnock, Hunt, Tonge, Brown, Austin, Zaliukas, Pug. for me these shouldn't get to wear the shirt again this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the last post, but I would still play Warnock - he always tries to put 100% in and does what full back should do: defend!

Agree0 Disagree0

What's Brown done to upset you?

Agree0 Disagree0
