All this talk of loan players just before a home game. A statement ( bates/harvey spin) released by the club 'instructing' NW to draw a list up of potential loanee's. A bit fishy me thinks!

Smoke and Mirrors, nothing more im afraid.

NW will have made clear for a long time now what players he wants in. Nothing will happen until this apparent takeover goes through.

By the way, anyone else wondering why it has not happened yet?!

Whilst the current regime is in place at lufc i would take all statements with a sizeable pinch of salt.

Bates is a compulsive liar and he hates all of us, mugging us off all the way to the monte carlo cash point.

LLHB MOT

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Of course itll happen when the takeovers done,so why all the conspiracy crap, according to you Bates only exists to piss Leeds fans off eh,IMO the deals done so Bates cant screw any more money from us,by implication your including NW in all this rubbish,do you really think hed be party to that?,keep it real bud.

Agree6 Disagree7

No he doesnt hate all of us :S why would he step in and make us profitable again if he hates us so much, if he hated us so much hedve finished us off years ago

Agree6 Disagree5

We are a cash cow. Week in, week out [we] have delivered for uncle ken.
Think about the years in league 1 paying prem prices and only turning a profit by selling players.

remember we were getting 20k plus on a regular basis in that league. how come the club could only be profitable by selling players?!

ANSWER BEING BATEST SKULDUGGERY

He has been taking us for a ide for years.

`with any luck, post takeover we may understand how much he has actually ripped us all off.

`until now i remain skeptical.

Bates is a liar and always will be.

We will march on together and i bear nobody any ill will who happens to disagree with me.

LLHB MOT

Agree5 Disagree0

This take over is becoming a farce

Agree6 Disagree1

Well said LLHB MOT I said this when all the "Takeover will be completed" before Everton and then Southampton matches, etc etc, knowing these games are additional expense to supporters.

Warnock might try to bring Rob Hulse back to Leeds because Warnock has signed him twice for Sheffield United and for QPR. Also Warnock will attempt to bring in Cameron Jerome and/or Fraizer Cambell to try and get Leeds back in the promotion race.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Were not exactly out of it, theres a good 16 teams in it based on the points, its november

Agree3 Disagree2

Rob Hulse is at Charlton, don't you watch football?

Well it's nearly 8pm and no sign of a loan player so presumably can't play tomorrow,oh well
Also it is gutting when you see the likes of hudds taking church from reading.im not saying that church is the answer but at least they are trying to bolster there hopes of going up.just read in my local paper manager of wolves quoting that there season is a disaster at the moment and embarrassed where they are and just not good enough.they are still above us but Neil says there's not too much Wrong and we keep getting mugged....think we are the mugs..shrew leeds

Believable12 Unbelievable3

What the hell have Wolves got to do with us,look what money theyve spent on players, plus parachute payments, they should be pi**ed off,the takeovers all but finalised now, then we can bring players in,time to stop bitching and get behind the team

Agree0 Disagree2

I prefer to wait and see on that one as it wouldn't surprise me if Leeds had made a signing and kept it under wraps, it wouldn't be the first time.

Agree3 Disagree0

Oct 19 2009 Leeds v Norwich Sam Vokes started and a certain Max Gradel on the bench. No one had a clue they joined us till the team sheet was announced.

Agree5 Disagree0

The reason in mentioned wolves was only to say there manager admits they are playing rubbish.would be good to know that nw actually thinks the same instead of quotes to the contrary.i mean did burnley mug us?
Shrew leeds

Agree1 Disagree1

To the public warnock backs his players , in the dressing room he lets them know what he thinks of performances, thats how it should be, lambasting players in papers does no good for the club

half you lot dont get it. Blackburn spent 8m on one player, LU spends 400K. wakeup this is 2nd div. spending., LU surviving on past reputation. We need owners who are billionaires, not GFH millionaires.

How about going in after Andrew Driver from Hearts could be a good cheap option for a wide player due to their financial position , although its going to be an interesting January transfer window when the takeover is finally completed! The defence needs looking at as does our creativity and some much needed pace!

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Andrew Driver who signed for Rangers in the summer you mean?? Never gonna happen! Good player but clearly we aren't going to sign him as he'd prefer playing in the scots 4th division.....a player blinkered by money rather than ambition and furthering his career in my eyes {Ed007's Note - Driver is still at Hearts, you are thinking of Templeton.}

if you loo ak LUST's most recent statement ( on thier website today) it clealry sets out the following-

1. That the takeover will probably not be completed by the weekend.

2. Thier sources confirm that Bates is likely to stay as a full joint partner or in some advisory capacity until AT LEAST the end of the season. Possibly longer. This could be joint ownership/ phased takeover.

3. This in turn raises concerns about the ability and intentions of GFH. Can they afford the deal? can they afford to finanace proper investement? Why are they now settling for a joint owenrship/phased takeover, having negociated for a full takeover for 6 months? Will there be a chmage in culture, approach and communciation with fans from Leeds with Bates still at the helm? This new element fundamentally changes the dynamic of the proposed takeover and brings into question the credibility, financial capacity and nature of GFH- if they are willing, want, or need Bates to stay!

4. The exclusivity period finsishes in mid Novemeber- Is it not time to potentially explore other options for investment and takeover- there are willing parties who have made themselves known.

I myself posted in early Sept I think it was. In that post I said that KB wanted to stay, and that this was the fundamental hold up with the takeover. It now appears that this is coming to pass. I think Bates has potentially turned what should have been a happy change in ownership into something which actually consolidtaes and perpetuates his tenure! As they say in the Usual Suspects about Kaiser Sose- ''The best trick the devil ever pulled was convincing you he wasn't there''. Many thoughts Bates was going. He is not.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

The same LUST that made stuff up before and gfh said they had had no contact?

09 Nov 2012 20:17:37
lets face it all this TO, was a distraction for the fans, may be next year we can only hope harry R will be LU mgr.

Agree0 Disagree4

The same LUST that then proved they did have contact on a regular basis with GFH's marketing & PR company with a string of texts and emails after which Haigh went very quiet?

LUST represents the views of supporters who bother to join - that's a lot more than Bates has ever done.

Why not join and make your view heard? You can do that at LUST, you can't do that in Bates's boardroom can you?

Agree1 Disagree3

Are you gary cooper?

Danny ls8

Agree3 Disagree0

To the LUST supporter that replied to the original post, LUST had no contact with GFH directly, they may have spoken to some PR firm but that is NOT GFH. In reply to the original post, it makes sense to keep Mr Bates at the club for a while, it is the best way for the new owners to settle in and understand how the football business works, the practice of keeping directors in a business after as buyout is standard practice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but LUST are a joke, they have lied throughout, how many months ago is it now since they were on the radio saying it is all done and would be completed within days? The truth is they knew nothing and never have so why pretend they are in the loop?
To be honest I think they have done more harm than good and when Bates goes hopefully so will they.

Agree4 Disagree0

LUST only come out when the times are bad, they only speak for themselves, i comment on there as a non-LUST member and get stupid sniping comments from people who are blinded by their hatred of bates, let them stick to looking at footballfinances.com to get their 'evidence'

Agree1 Disagree0

LUST are a complete joke, they CLAIM to be in the know but in reality they're in the dark as much as the rest of us. LUST are simply Bates haters and would prefer to make up their own version of events rather than focus on the truth. They in my view are as bad for the club as Bates.....trouble causers with no idea. Fingers crossed for the takeover and that Warnock is given some money to spend....he clearly needs to strengthen desperately

Agree0 Disagree1

How exactley does bates know how to run a football club club. heslost a third of his punters in the last 8 years. prob a lesson how not to run a football club.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Danny, I'm not Gary Cooper. One thing I know though is that supporters trusts throughout the world have been very successful over many years in bringing pressure on club owners usually for the long term benefit of the club. That's nothing to do with LUST per se - it's about supporters having a voice. What voice do supporters have on the LUFC board of directors? The answer, apparently, is club legend Peter Lorimer, a man I grew up worshiping and who is now seriously diminished in my eyes.

I've never spoken to Gary Cooper and disagree with him on some points. I also find the self-righteous tone of some of LUST's outpourings a bit tedious. However, where I do agree with him is that LUST is the only organisation right now which is of sufficient size and sufficiently well organised to make any noise on supporters' behalf. If you don't want your voice to be heard, fine, just rant on here. If you do, then you need to be organised. Please tell me what the alternative to LUST is?

As for the subtle difference between contact with GFH and their PR company, there is none. I'm a company director, I employ a PR company. They would never speak 'off the record' to anyone without my explicit consent or their lucrative contract would be terminated. It's a tactic used to circumvent issues around confidentiality clauses or when you want to distance yourself from something. PR companies never speak without the consent of their paymasters. I have no doubt whatsoever that Haigh, whilst not lying in the strictest sense, was being disingenuous with his denials. Haigh's another man who doesn't impress me - shades of Publicity Pete.

Drury, Pearce, Byram and Peltier were class at Turf Moor, Austin didnt get a sniff, shock when Pugh came on writhing seconds we concede, he is so bad it's pathetic

Believable1 Unbelievable10

Where you really there, I was and trust me we didn't show one ounce of class throughout the team for the whole 90 mins, it was an absolute shocking performance.

Anyone got any idea what time we would have to sign a loan player for them to play against watford, lets hope we get someone and its a piece of the icing on the so called cake

Believable0 Unbelievable1

If warnock says he will be playing against watford im guessing he would have signed at some point earlier today and we will find out at game before kick off tommorow, just like diouf

Gfh are definitely doing this for profit. Haigh only started tweeting about football in June. They'll develop the ground and the land surrounding, get us promoted then sell us for twice probably more than they paid for us.

Believable16 Unbelievable3

Why would they do that when there is a fortune to be made just by been relegated again .they will make more by keeping leeds united long term in the prem league

Agree0 Disagree2

And wot if they were? david haigh is leeds fan and wants us in the premiee league... if they want to develop the team n send us to the hights again then so be it n if they sell for a healthy profit in 5 yeara then that their choice. Players dont show loyalty n neither do owners.. IMO i believe gfh r in this for the long run n seriously want to have us for many years.. Does it matta? we all want the same thing dont we... KB out and a little ambition shown to buy a couple of game winning players...

Mot

Agree2 Disagree1

Well their not gonna do it for a loss are they and check gfh capital webiste look up david haigh cao and you'll see he is in fact a leeds supporter dont think he is gonna run em into the ground do you? god hope he is not a peter ridsdale though!

Agree1 Disagree1

Glad you said the key word in that -'promoted'. MOT!! White4Life

Agree2 Disagree1

That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Either way they will need to spend some decent money to develop both the squad and infrastructure which is what we need.

Whoever they would theoretically sell to would need to have even more money and as the infrastructure would then be in a good state, wound be able to focus on the team.

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't really care aslong as they get us back to were we belong and invest in the playing squad along the way. When they do come to build us up and sell us on, atleast there the right people to sell us on, in the right country, with the right buyers and money men. The only thing i care about is LUFC being back in the prem....... Bates just wanted to make a profit from the assets and turnover. These guys will be in it to turn a profit down the road and it doesn't take a PHD to work that one out. This is why Bates is hated and crowds are down. If Bates was gay, he'ld be a taker not a giver and will go out this world the same way he came in( crying, screaming, milker)
BYE,BYE,BATES.

im not too worried bout leeds at the moment lads to be honest many think we not as better off as we were last year i completely disagree we are much better off and we are in a much stronger league this year IMO
another point bout the imminent takeover ppl saying gfh capital are not that well off well i've done some research regarding this and just point out one tiny fact well two actually one being david haigh is in fact a leeds supporter for those who dont believe and two gfh capital formed in 1999 have spent a measly 5 billion yes 5 BILLION on invesment since 1999 they contsist of many companies including dubai islamic bank another being hewlitt packard even and many more plus alot of individuals with consideralby high income i mean bilionaires by the way and fans on about gfh losing 50 million ha ha this is like lunch money to these folkes what did you think ken bates talks to bums?? just like abramovich maybe?? dont make me laugh!
cant wait till the takeover is complete then roll on next year tip for everyone ryall hall will score a hatrick b4 new year mark my words!
irish leed fan!

Believable6 Unbelievable8

You my friend are deluded. At lewsst last season when we lost we scored goals and tried to play football.

Agree7 Disagree2

And when we lost last season we looked like a pack of sheep just lookin at each other? players only giving their best for half a season yes we have alot of journey men but their not playin together as long as the team we had most of which played 3 or 4 seasons with each other at least we know our team is not the finished article by a mile not playing together what 2 or 3 months? and are still competing with the best in the league yeah a few slip ups so what? where was reading this time last season miles behind came back and won the title sunderland did it when keane was in charge not impoosible for promotion what i mean is this team has lots of potential can only get better the team of old reached their peak!
irish leeds fan!

Agree1 Disagree1

I agree with the second poster...any one trying to kid themselves and gloss over current performances is deluded. The league is no stronger than last season...we are a lot weaker and a poorer footballing side.

Agree3 Disagree0

Every year Bates sells one of are top players and now we've had to rebuild whats gone with chump change. Warnocks style of play will work with the right type of players. The one key ingredience is missing, pace up front. If Jerome does come in and Hall does, what Hall does best, i can see us marching up the league because thats all we are lacking at the minute. You don't have to be a manager to know whats wrong at the club. GFH need to pull there fingers out and get fans feeling that vibe again.
SGT WARNOCKS BARMY ARMY!!!
mot4life

Agree3 Disagree2

To the 1st reply.. so losing 7-3 and 6-4 is better than losing 2-1? just made us look like a laughing stock. And yes we 'tried' but hardly ever succeeded. At least Warnock is making us into a team that is hard to beat, we will come good! in Warnock we trust!

JP

Agree2 Disagree5

Jp hard to beat? We are losing to Birmingham and Burnley hardley hard to beat. When have we looked convincing in the league this season other than Wolves game?

Agree1 Disagree1

Didn't think we were that convincing against Wolves...
