{Ed013's Note - OK so things are drying up a little and people get bored and dream of Beckford, Gradel, Alan Smith and Tomas Brolin coming back, so let's try something different;
When was your first Leeds match and what memories did you savor from that experience?}
My first match was bobby kerr's testimonial on 26th 1976 at roker park, I was 7 yrs old. Living in the north east, dad was a Sunderland supporter, me and my brother followed leeds and have done ever since. Don't remember much of the game apart from being dead excited, hellish!

Went to madrid for three days 3rd- 6th SEPT and you have too do the stadium tour. you know the bernabeu 15 euros. anyway our taxi driver was a real fan when I told him I was A leeds fan. he was there that night, he was so full of leeds fans he told me that leeds fans were the best that had ever gone to the bernabeu. they sang all night he never witnessed a team so well supported. who remebers who scored our first goal he does. 2001. I TOLD HIM WELL BE BACK!
Notts county, think 1991.saw one of the only goals scored by batty.picked it up on the half wayline, and smashed it jnto the top left corner right in front of the revie stand.
Also will never forget the fan I sat next to for all 3 champions league home group games.he spent all week learning an insult in Spanish, italian and Turkish.what a legend!
Try again
My first game
Dad supports the gunners, bless him. He drove me all the way from southend to watch leeds v arsenal. I was on crutches with broken leg. We won 1-0
Dont think he expected that or he wouldn't have driven 500 mile round trip. Had to put up with bloody max bygraves on the cassette all the way home as punishment.
Standard Liege either 67 or 68, loved the European games when I was a lad.
I went to a few when I was a kid with dad but the one that I remember most can't remember much about the match but I do know that the manager was billy bremner we got seperated in the cue to the turnstiles and some fella took me to the main reception he also gave me his silk sentenary scarf with the players names on then he went and watched the match I suppose never did get to say thanks but then I was taken into the groun by a man with ginger hair he carried me to the cop and then disappeared only turns out it was billy himself didn't know it then lol
Chelsea 1 - Leeds 5 (Division 1)
Stamford Bridge (1970?) and what a cowshed the place was. It consisted of the then new stand that almost bankrupted them and three sides of dumpsville central. Complete with running track around the pitch if I remember right.
Recollections:
1. Even observed from the other end, the occupants of the Stamford Bridge Shed end were living proof of the theory of evolution (or lack of it in their case).
2. How good we were. The game was as much slaughter as the scoreline suggests. Chewed them up and spat them out.
My first game was leeds v man u youth final at er was only game I went to standing up robbie savage played 4 Manchester United at time 1992 2nd game england v sweden 2-2 lineker scoring got my signed card and a mars bar lol
My first game was at Middlesbrough against jack charltons Boro who had just been promoted, was Bill gates testamonial. Leeds United, 1974 champions at Ayrsome Park, two miles away, I was 11 years old. Ended 4-4 in a fantastic exhibition game, Billy Bremner ran over every blade of grass. We watched from the directors box, my dad knew Charlie Amer the Boro chairman at the time, and got us tickets into the 100 club. After the game I met every Leeds United legend, I was totally star struck. last year I reminded Eddie grey that I'd met him all those years ago and he remembered the game. Fantastic memories, was there again at the start of the new season when a Sniffer Clarke goal at the Holgate End got us a win. I got a kicking at school the following Monday, and three times every other season we played, home, away and my birthday!. To this day I hate the Boro because of it!
My first match was home at Everton on a Sunday evening when I was 5 (15 now) crushing 1-0 loss with no other than Wayne Rooney scoring the winner
