I think Darlow is assured of his place on the bench for the remaining fixtures.

Both Bam and Piroe have missed sitters in last couple of games. Away from the cauldron of what was" fortress";Elland Road I would be tempted to start the young uns up front. Piroe blanked when right through and Bam couldn't even get his head on the ball instead of his shoulder when basically unmarked in the 6 yd box. Those are probably going to prove to be expensive misses. Hansen was proved wrong when he said you can't w8n with kids - let's give the LUFC kids a go.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 Apr 2024 23:39:23
Likely though just one change by DF ; Bamford in for Piroe.

DF isn't going to start MJ.

Be refreshing to actually indeed score goals from corner/ set piece!

If we be behind at 60 mins bring Cressy on last 30 mins . Amps into midfield. Cressy to score a couple of headers.

Sort it Herr Farke!

Against Middlesbrough I don’t have a problem with Farke starting Bamford or Piroe, but if we are not in front by h sixty minutes he must give Joseph on.
Overall our problem currently is more to do with confidence, you see that our ball retention and passing is way off our normal game.
I’d also prefer Willy to start as he does posses an extra edge in our attacking flanks.

There no denying that it will be crucial that.

Willy Gnonto AND Daniel James must start. we must WIN . need goals . and players who do score on pitch

Its a MUST WIN . must score gosls

Mes

Roberts
Rodon
Ampadu
Byram

Gruev
Piroe ( radical but he has 12 goals GK has zero )

DJ
Gnonto ( in. the 10 )
Summerville ( or Anthony )

Joseph

If Summerville isn't on it yet AGAIN . hook him off at HT for Anthony.

Willy is currently more of a threat than James. James has been back to his head down no idea best since int break. Def Willy on. Gray for Rutter. Nooooooooo Bamford. Rather play cooper up front 👍.

Gray has been awful Aus past games and has zero goal threat

We need goals.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 Apr 2024 14:21:16
Yeah. But Rutter has too baz.
I think they both need a rest. I don’t know. So many are tired or out of form.
It’s tough from here.
Not sure what our sub usage is like compared to other 3 but our supposed starting 11 prob reduced to about 4 worthy of a start now.

Never write Leeds United off.
We always do things the hard way and that is where we currently are
Middlesbrough like to attack, which should help our attackers to find space and hopefully score
I live up here and everyone keeps saying they will struggle on Monday without Luke Ayling.

17 Apr 2024 19:40:29
Don't forget Rutter had a serious op during the international break. Its going to be tough to come back from under any circumstances. Hopefully the extended break will help a few reset.

One of my mates had a hernia operation in December and still feels discomfort now
Rutter was straight back into training and then games
Yes he's an athlete, but he's also a human and most likely feeling niggles.

I guess it may have not been feasible to delay Rutter surgery until next month.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 Apr 2024 22:40:07
Yes I have had hernias and they do take a few months to properly recover from. Obviously Rutter didn't get an NHS special but still. Think the club must have had no choice but to risk it but that situation more than any other has derailed our season.

May I suggest a tag team wrestling match with luvvies Alf and Op versus evil twins George and Baz.

Back to school - my dad is bigger than your dad etc.

Saints well and truly in it, think it's better for us if they beat foxes but not sure. To go up auto think we have to win out and that not likely .

1970 so " Stone Cold Steve Austin" Baz.

We have had on here

" Saints are not in it "🤨

Well 4 teams are in it ; Leeds likely need to win both away matches and then at least draw final match against Saints.

Just like to remind Baz and George that they are not Professional football managers behind their computer keyboards and that they don’t know better with their very conviennent hindsight opinions.
However, they would would know just a little more about coaching than that excuse of a football coach Jesse Marsch.
I think Alf, myself and several other posters need to add some reality to threads as Bazza likes to monopolize pretty much every thread with, it’s my way and my way only. 😉
Power to the people ✊🏻.

{Ed025's Note - do you know what guys i think we need to be a bit nicer to each other, a bit more tolerant and respectful even if you dont agree with someones view, it gets like a bunch of fish wives at times and you are all on the same side here so lets stop the petty bickering and oneupmanship please..

Respectfully Ed I think a lot of the posts are a bit tongue in cheek, certainly from my behalf, it’s a bit of a distraction from the will we won’t we get promoted? Which is starting a lot of sphincter twitching amongst us Leeds fans right now.
Aus, if you wanna be in our gang you’ve got to tone down the anti Farke posts! 😉
Yes mate, that’s the deal.

{Ed025's Note - there is nothing wrong with a bit of banter OP in fact i love it, but it can be a fine line at times mate and i just dont want it to turn into a slanging match, but im sure it wont..

Agree1 0Disagree

17 Apr 2024 09:42:30
Don't mind opposing views Ed, in fact I welcome them but it's sooo boring hearing the same lines trotted out every single thread whose only point is to boast about how great they are, how much they told us so and clearly attempts to boost one's own seemingly fragile ego. Its far easier to be negative about a team than positive because in footie nothing is permanent. For every thread if Baz and George just don't bother to comment, we can all just assume they are right about everything and talk about more interesting things instead.

{Ed025's Note - its easy to just skip past posts you dont agree with alf, i enjoy a debate as much as the next guy but we do have to keep it civil mate..

Agree2 0Disagree

OP Didn't care for your convenient hindsight opinions comment when I know for a fact that prior to our decline I posted and discussed with you the benefit of rotation and resting players after a fixture pile up involving the international break (which wasn't actually a break for 85% of our squad, wasn't it just 6 who remained? ) I cautioned you then directly with a couple of clear posts and advisory and now you tell me I have a hindsight opinion? Hope you're joking but sense you are not.

George let’s have right, we can oppose each other’s opinion, it’s fair game, doesn’t matter who is right or wrong it’s just opinions.
We oppose each other’s opinions if we want but then move on.
No need to get upset or make issues about it.
Keep it clean and we’re all good 👍.

Agree1 0Disagree

17 Apr 2024 12:36:47
My opinion on the rotation issue as you make out George, I feel you could have a point on certain players who came back from their internationals, but I don’t think they were fatigued more disconsolate especially our Welsh contingent who are very important in our squad.
It’s such fine margins In professional football, a slight knock in confidence to a few players can displace the squad leading to a negative performance.
So for me it’s not fatigue the problem but confidence, we don’t have quality replacements for Rodon and Ampadu, who appear to be suffering along with James.

OP Why do you conflate? Did I refuse your right to oppose? No. Issue is you've attempted to rewrite the truth by claiming hindsight. Now you say I've got a point with certain players. Make mind up! I was right all along and in advance. So unnecessary. The title was ours.

Sometimes you rest players for a good week, possibly lose 3 or 4 points because of it and then come back with a vengeance. What Farke did was ensure we lost double those amount of points and without the benefit of the rest!

Southampton very fortunate to be playing a team with nothing to play for, a victory for them was not a surprise. We still have a superior goal difference over them and Ipswich if this goes to the wire which I think it will.

A few things i am not liking at the moment
Players getting visibly annoyed with each other on pitch, throwing hands in air, the argument about the penalty in the Hull
Game, the discontent from the players being subbed as well, I also notice summerville letting everyone know his name when he scores, it's about him not the badge or the club . I'd drop summerville out the squad totally as to me I think it's a bad influence and I think is eyeing a move .

16 Apr 2024 00:53:58
Bang on the money Mighty re Summerville.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 03:56:09
Play him while we’ve got him but he does come across as an arrogant egotist. Big fish in little pond, if big boys come with the loot he will fade into obscurity. Look at PHILLIPS, lost years of his career trying to slide in above his level - but then if you were offered his kind of loot wouldn’t you . Summerville is quick and small but a couple of outings against some Italian or German defensive assassins and he will slow down.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 07:13:23
It does make you think that something has gone on behind the scenes that's possibly caused our bad form since the Watford game. Remember the palace game where something happened at half time and we got battered 2nd half. I'm staying positive (we'll try to) that it's just a bad patch) , which has ended and we'll be back to our best for the next 3 games 🤞.

Agree0 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 08:03:27
Good point raised, I got slated on here a few weeks ago about pointing out his body language and attitude, and I stick to my opinion.
Whilst I like him as a player, and don't get me wrong he has kept us up there with his goals, he is always one touch too much. He hardly every makes the right pass to a player with much more space and time, just tries to bring it on his right foot and shoot. His body language just screams disinterested to me, and maybe he has had offers, but if so you would think it would incentives his game or could it be that they have said you're not for sale at any cost, and like Elivis, he's caught in a trap.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 08:10:45
Well let’s just get rid of one of our best players because maybe his attitude might not look quite right to a few fans and he points to his name on his shirt when he scores one of the many goals he has scored for us season.
I give up!

Agree2 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 08:22:43
Op that's definitely not what I am saying about Jimmy, it's more to do with what i see when i watch him play, is it a potential behind the scenes issue that may be affecting him. I really like him as a player, and yes he is certainly one of our best, and to reiterate my post his goals have been invaluable.

Agree2 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 11:46:53
Dougie, i just think he’s probably an over confident immature cocky kid and there’s a lot of them I’m sure in professional football.
So long as he is giving 100% working for the team and scoring goals he can have whatever look on his face as far as I’m concerned.
The great thing about Jimmy he’s still not the finished article in my opinion, there’s potentially a top top player in there and I hope to God he’ll prove that with us.

Agree2 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 12:30:53
Few things,

All footballers are arrogent, you have to be to make it. To train hard and believe you can make it there has to be an air of arrogance. The name thing when scoring is what players do.

This behind the scenes stuff…. Give it a rest, this is not another o’ Leary killing the club with a stupid book, it just pressure

Leeds, Ipswich, arsenal, Liverpool and lesciter are all feeling it at the moment… so is there a problem at every club? Course not so don’t put things there

Football is a hard game and pressure is a killer in any profession or walk of life.

It can often come down to luck. Like all teams above we played poorly against Sunderland but unlike every other club we was cheated with two clear pens.

Had we got them pressure lifts and maybe we beat Blackburn and go up as champs.

Pressure is everywhere, teams getting cheated is just at leeds

Long live farke.

I hope it is just the case of us reading too much into it. Clearly, as things have gone off the rails a little, players are reacting in different ways. I think we would be equally surprised all the same if the players were behaving as if every was still going swimmingly.

A good result at boro is obviously important, but it might lift the mood and attitude for the last two games.

Baz, I don't think O/ P says he has no issue with it; he is not making it out to be as bigger deal as some. Quite frankly, my opinion is that CS has his mind elsewhere promoted or otherwise, but deep down we all know that anyway. You said he should be sold anyway because he's not good enough for the EPL, even though he is arguably our best player when on song.

To be honest, I couldn't give two hoots about his attitude / arrogance / smugness or whatever, as long as he does the business for the next 3 [or 6] games. Same for them all.

I might be a bit of a sentimentalist, but I think JR is worried without promotion, Leeds won't buy him [won't be able to afford him]; I think he wants to be at Leeds and there's a chance he won't be.

Ani but with all about me players

when things go wrong ie defeats

" team harmony / spirit" evaporates super fast

A significant reason little ole League 1 Ipswich are ahead of Leeds, Leicester and Saints they have a better superb team spirit of honest pros each fighting 120% for the promotion cause . no big time Charlies planning their next move.

Agree0 0Disagree

16 Apr 2024 17:36:14
I don't disagree with you Baz [maybe that's a first]; no doubt team harmony and spirit is hugely important; we're only speculating that we don't have it because of "sour" reaction of one or two players after some poor team performances.

As for Ipswich having no big time Charlies, well time will tell on that one, i. e. let's see how many are playing for them next season, promotion or otherwise. No doubt they have a great fighting / never give up spirit, but to be honest, so do we (most of the time) . We don't know what is being put in these guys heads; remember, they're basically kids, easily influenced.

Think it’s harsh in Summerville

When players leaves it’s business. We support the club they are employees. If they do bad the club get rid of they do well they jump ship.

I’m what other job would a promotion to a better company paying more be looked upon badly?

When many wanted to jump ship like gnoto and sinisterra Summerville didn’t. We should all remember that.
