Whatever league we are in next year a change of personnel is called for in some positions. One of these, possibly. is striker? Obviously Plan A would be to go out and buy the best we can afford however may I suggest a Plan B?
If there is real potential in Joseph then can we purchase a stop gap striker, to bring Joseph on whilst mentoring the young lad. There are a few strikers who have proved their worth in the past and still hold a credible threat up front. Danny Ings, Memphis Depay and Calum Wilson are just a few whose contracts are up for renewal next year and due to their age will be easily affordable.

Whilst I agree, in principle, Chris Szmodics stats other than this year are not amazing however while we are on the subject of raiding Blackburn, Tyrhise Dolan looked usefull should we need a winger.

Fake madness, as some posters described him, justified in his actions for subbing Willy against Blackburn. Gnonto was still not fully fit and Farke didn’t want to risk him any longer than he already did.
Don’t be so quick to trash our coaches decisions when we don’t know the reasons behind it.
Gnonto’s impact on these last three games could decide whether we get automatic promotion or not!

The Blackburn defeat on Farke.

1.Primarily taking off Gruev leaving Leeds nonsensicaly with no CDM at nil. nil. the Blackburn goal does NOT happen otherwise.

This is NOT just my opinion but many Leeds United content creators opinions Connor McGillgan, Kagey TV etc

2.Balderdash on Gnonto just an excuse. The guy was full of running and looked well peeved to be coming off

3.CR coming off less disastrous than IG in particular. but questionable too.

Both Bam and Piroe have missed sitters in last couple of games. Away from the cauldron of what was" fortress";Elland Road I would be tempted to start the young uns up front. Piroe blanked when right through and Bam couldn't even get his head on the ball instead of his shoulder when basically unmarked in the 6 yd box. Those are probably going to prove to be expensive misses. Hansen was proved wrong when he said you can't w8n with kids - let's give the LUFC kids a go.

If we be behind at 60 mins bring Cressy on last 30 mins . Amps into midfield. Cressy to score a couple of headers.

Alf our experienced heads can't even head the bloody ball! DF has no intentions of playing Cresswell and starting Joseph. We have NOT utilized our young talent properly in the past 4 years. Although Archie has played well this season and has proven himself, If his last name wasn't (Gray) he would have never been in DF starting team. I'm not bashing my youngster just stating fact.

Against Middlesbrough I don’t have a problem with Farke starting Bamford or Piroe, but if we are not in front by h sixty minutes he must give Joseph on.
Overall our problem currently is more to do with confidence, you see that our ball retention and passing is way off our normal game.
I’d also prefer Willy to start as he does posses an extra edge in our attacking flanks.

There no denying that it will be crucial that.

Yes I have had hernias and they do take a few months to properly recover from. Obviously Rutter didn't get an NHS special but still. Think the club must have had no choice but to risk it but that situation more than any other has derailed our season.

Yes 2 hernias but the first when I was 5. Not really spinal injuries more a bad back - add to that 2 fractured arms and I also had a rare problem with a bone slipping out of place in my left hip for which I still have 2 titanium screws within. That was a 2 year revovery as well which effectively killed off my football 'career'. At least if I get murdered and my body is found years later the identification should be fairly easy. Other than that I think I've been injury free.

Don't mind opposing views Ed, in fact I welcome them but it's sooo boring hearing the same lines trotted out every single thread whose only point is to boast about how great they are, how much they told us so and clearly attempts to boost one's own seemingly fragile ego. Its far easier to be negative about a team than positive because in footie nothing is permanent. My opinion on the rotation issue as you make out George, I feel you could have a point on certain players who came back from their internationals, but I don’t think they were fatigued more disconsolate especially our Welsh contingent who are very important in our squad.
It’s such fine margins In professional football, a slight knock in confidence to a few players can displace the squad leading to a negative performance.
So for me it’s not fatigue the problem but confidence, we don’t have quality replacements for Rodon and Ampadu, who appear to be suffering along with James.

OP Why do you conflate? Did I refuse your right to oppose? No. Issue is you've attempted to rewrite the truth by claiming hindsight. Now you say I've got a point with certain players. Make mind up! I was right all along and in advance. So unnecessary. The title was ours.

Sometimes you rest players for a good week, possibly lose 3 or 4 points because of it and then come back with a vengeance. What Farke did was ensure we lost double those amount of points and without the benefit of the rest!
