The pressure that is now delivered before Daniel Farke is now undeniably huge and it very much looks like our game against Villa at home is a must not lose to keep for the time being his position in tact as our coach.
The more emotional fans are already calling for him to be sacked, but you have to consider Farke has been in this position before at Norwich, so for him maybe he is not crumbling under the immense pressure and might be able to adapt and figure a way to survive another day.
Let’s face it, any other new manager will only be living to survive another day with us anyhow, it’s just a question of do they have the nerve to dig our team out of the relegation hole come the end of this season.
The job of a Leeds manager in our position would not be a enviable one due to the perhaps unreasonable pressure and expectation we as fans place on them. It’s probably ten fold or more to the pressure Scott Parker will feel at Burnley.

Take the money. Do the job.
I’ve read he was given 5 games to turn things around starting with forest. To me that's ridiculous. Although I’d expect to nick a few points here and there. Realistically we could lose them all.
As corkey said it’s the nature of recent 2.5 games performances that is disturbing. How’s that going to change against better teams. Imo we should have taken at least 5 more points already.
I really don’t get giving him more time. Just makes the new managers job harder. As I said last week. It’s going to happen 100%. Just do it.
It’s almost the 49ers want to be seen giving managers as much time as possible. It’s not a public appreciation society. It’s business. Dollars involved.
Whether a new manager keeps us up is besides the point. This one won’t.
12 Nov 2025 09:02:05
We've had three must win (not must lose) why they're persisting with farke I have no idea. The writing is on the wall, he will not change.
Our owners are clueless.
12 Nov 2025 09:11:54
Not sure it’s necessarily the more emotional supporters wanting Farke to go OP. It also may be misinterpreted as acting without clarity or good judgment, although I would challenge that description.
Sentiment is an emotion and predominantly it was sentiment that afforded Daniel another crack at the epl, if we are all in agreement of the cataclysmic difference in quality and standards between the two divisions.
It’s not emotional when supporters highlight specific flaws, refusal to adapt and change. Indeed, Bielsa had similar flaws, but secured us ninth position in a technically very similar team, he just had a ferocious mindset where players refused to stop for 100minutes every game.
But it’s a matter of fact, that to date anyway, Daniel has the worst record in epl management, and nothing we have witnessed against teams with our best chance of picking up points, recently supports keeping him in place in my opinion.
If as you describe the side is significantly short of quality and balance, leaving the status quo as is is more aligned to a form of insanity, which admittedly is certainly at the extreme end of the emotional scale.
I admit the board may be dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t make a change, but currently we are rabbits stuck in the headlights and I would prefer to take the Wet Sham, Florists approach who have both seen a bounce now new coaches have settled in.
12 Nov 2025 09:23:04
I imagine they have to equate whether there can be any improvement over the the next few games to see if there is any forward momentum or are we in decline, compared to a possible short new manager bounce then a possible rapid decline.
It’s tough a decision and it’s theirs and their investors millions not ours so I think they will think very carefully as to which decision they will make.
Radrizziani’s wrong decisions must of cost him millions and also left the club in a much weakened position after selling it. It’s in no owners interest to make the wrong decisions.
12 Nov 2025 11:26:14
Yet Many described Radz as our saviour at the time, a man who loved our club even
Where as now, it's bad Radz, it's all rooted in his failures same people are now saying
Seem to recall a younger better looking Ken Bates being said by someone 😂 at the time met with plenty derision.
12 Nov 2025 11:46:38
Radz wrong decisions didn't cost him a penny. He made a profit when he sold our club. They are still costing the club and the fans, however.
12 Nov 2025 13:35:11
Two years of the same tactics
I'm sure he will change this time.
12 Nov 2025 14:14:33
The owners are costing our club. Plain and simple.
No other explanation. They can sack the manager if they like. But it’s all their fault.
And yes. Please sack him.
But don’t for a minute think it’s all on him. It’s on you as well.
Typical yank hooo rah. Talk talk but wheelchair boumd.
12 Nov 2025 16:30:31
I understand that these days managers / coach’s can be sacked before the ink is dry on their contracts and we as fans are all emotionally invested by the events of our club’s fortunes and some more than others.
That doesn’t mean they are wrong for wanting their manager sacked even if they haven’t had a reasonable amount of time to get the tactics correct and so on and so forth.
For me personally i would still give Farke the time to try and get some more positive results.
But the way things are today you can win a title or a domestic trophy etc and then a few months later get the sack because league results maybe faltering due to many circumstances like new players adapting and players that have left the club, plus many other reasons.
I hear sentiment has no part in the game when sacking a manager, well it’s obvious that patience doesn’t either.
Managers have now become an item on a conveyor belt which in my belief is not healthy for football.
The three teams in the relegation zone have all changed their managers after only ten games.
Who knows whether it will work for them all, maybe as they are all equipped with pretty decent players unlike us and Burnley who I believe are different due to the lower quality in the ranks.
For the like of us promoted teams it’s more likely to go downhill in my opinion, it could be a case of sticking with the devil you know?
12 Nov 2025 17:15:48
Alf he probably just recouped the money that he would have most certainly lost from the period in the Championship.
I don’t think he ever really knew what he was letting himself in for when he bought our club.
I think in football terms he could be considered naive.
Having said that i would still shake his hand and say thank you for taking us out of that endless dark dungeon we spent many years in.
13 Nov 2025 01:54:55
From what's been knocking about opti, you will have your wish.
Farke has the next four games to make an improvement and I'll be honest, he won't and he won't be sacked. The 49ers will give him "just one more game" until the end of the January window then sack him.
13 Nov 2025 10:03:59
My wish is that we pick up more points over the forthcoming fixtures that will hopefully keep our heads above the drop zone. Hopefully that will continue to the end of the season, even if survival means one goal difference in 17th position.
I’m also not interested anymore in playing great football or that other teams have more possession and are all over us apparently like West Ham were at Elland rd.!
Staying up even if that means being Dirty Leeds again, I honestly don’t care, I also don’t care if it’s Daniel Farke or Russell Martin or Steven Gerrard who is our coach.
My wish is only for Leeds Utd to survive in its first season back in the Premiership to see another season.
13 Nov 2025 13:50:56
Which they most likely won’t opti. Brace yourself.

Apart from Gnonto, who is missing?
11 Nov 2025 23:11:30
Canada…James is missing (he’s a shadow of himself) . We’re really missing Rothwell and Solomon. I never criticised our possession based, slow build play up last season, because it always ended with something. I appreciate we can’t go gun-Ho, but we seemed to have lost all impetus over the last few games. We’re not even making that chances we readily miss at the moment.
Our defence, which was relatively solid early on (Arsenal aside) , has gone to pieces. Our keeper seems confident but can’t distribute at all. Our problems recently, seem to stem from the changes we’ve made at the back.
I just hope we step it up for Villa…. somehow.
12 Nov 2025 01:30:28
Put amps at the back. James ( who needs to buck his ideas up) for arrenson. Piroe or namecheck to start not dcl.
12 Nov 2025 07:43:34
Back with a banger Ani! Good observations.
Yes, the game plan hasn't necessarily changed, but we are implementing it a lot, lot less effectively.
12 Nov 2025 07:51:01
I’m not sure Ampadu or Dan James who have both excelled in the Championship, have the requirements to compete at the very high level of the Premiership.
Often it is that fans under estimate the difference in quality of the two leagues.
12 Nov 2025 11:32:16
I said amps wasn’t prem quality last season and was met with disarray.
13 Nov 2025 11:24:40
Not from me Aus. I didn't even think he was good enough to start in MF last season. Did very well in a makeshift defence role tho.
I'd prefer Gruev or Ao ahead of him.
13 Nov 2025 13:30:04
100 bright. He ain’t a midfielder.
And don’t mean to be rude but how can we survive in prem with so many welsh international players. I said this as well last season. It’s and they are not prem. Give me 3 from a top 20 national team and I’d be ok. But it’s wales right. No offense chaps.
13 Nov 2025 13:30:04

It seems from most reports that 49ers are sticking with Mr Farke. Given our next 4 games they can't really sack him for losing any of those. Although I would be hopeful for a point or two. Or should I say I was hopeful pre Sunday.
So unless they make the strange decision to sack him for not getting points from teams that we probably shouldn't and let him off for not getting points v teams we shoulda, here's here until the new year.

11 Nov 2025 09:14:52
I’m curious Aus, after those four particular games you’ve mentioned, which ones of the five after where we play
Brentford. A
Palace. H
Sunderland A
Liverpool. A
Man Utd. H
- that we will have any chance of picking up a result?
I seriously don’t think the new coach if any will be given any favorable games after anyway.
They will all be brutal and and leave that new coach, if any? in no doubt that his job to keep us up will be huge.
They 49er’s will already be considering their options of which coach will be our new lamb to the slaughter in their desperate bid to avoid what will be in all realistic terms, relegation for our club.
Make no mistake Aus, you clambering onto your thoughts that any new coach will save us is completely out of touch with reality.
Sorry fella to drop that bombshell on you but we are already at this stage in the season, starring down the barrel of a gun, if you really think it can’t get any worse I’m sorry to say that it is very probable in my opinion that it can.
I’m not suggesting yet that our owners should be already considering the possibility of Championship football next season, but I’m certain they will be having quiet conversations about it in their boardroom discussions.
11 Nov 2025 09:28:35
I think they'll stick with him, but him players in January and let him run his course until the end of the season
When the 49ers said they made a mistake with Marsch I think they meant because they sacked him, not because they waited so long.
11 Nov 2025 10:21:30
Not being argumentive here now OP, but it's strange that your now acceptance of what most realistically lays ahead is complete opposite of what you were saying in July / August when I said that Lewin +Numchuck amongst others were going to be total flops .
I felt it was alarming that some Leeds fans felt Lewin was going to be a hit here for us, and usual panning of posters for saying. this was met with the usual ( your so negative, your not a true supporter) muck .
Where as now you are almost saying it's over already in November. Our recruitment has been poor again,
We have had many many poor windows so it's no coincidence we are now struggling, coupled with a manager now who realistically should have been changed in summer, his previous attempts now are a carbon copy with us
I always believe there should be zero sentimental feelings in football
People said oh Farke. earned his shot at Prem, well he was paid well for his efforts last season, so it was a 2 way street
If he earned his shot now, now he also has to TAKE blame for his poor management at this level
It surely works both ways again
Also people saying good players aren't available on our budget are now proven wrong when you look around at other less glamorous sides in league who do find quality at reasonable cost . Again a 9'ers mistake appoint Underwood,
Your correct telling Aus even games in December/ January are tough, and I won't be at all surprised to see us possibly go 7-8 games without a point
Uphill battle all the way was this season's forecast in my eyes, but made harder by our summer signings also.
11 Nov 2025 10:33:00
Looking at the bigger picture, maybe there's no better option willing to join us.
A new manager will want easier games to gell the team and get results, they won't want spankings up until Christmas.
11 Nov 2025 10:50:55
Possibly Brentford palace. Sunderland and mancs mate although none if we continue in our current form.
11 Nov 2025 12:04:09
Nmecha is a better finisher than DCL and I think Nmecha has more potential in him. He has converted more chances than anyone else. Has more goals than anyone apart from Rodon and has played fewer minutes than all of them.
Nmecha okafor and James will be a lethal trio.
11 Nov 2025 12:34:44
Do not know whether you joking or serious MOT 😂, please tell me it's zee former not latter 🤔.
11 Nov 2025 12:44:08
Said same myself mot last Saturday. Fear the hairstyle posing as a striker.
11 Nov 2025 14:02:35
Not joking Chris or taking anything away from DCL, I think he is in the wrong position. He is our attacking 10 that we need.
He wins the aerial duels. He can take the ball down and hold it up, he does smart play. If we had him in midfield or just Infront, with the wingers fed from his balls with Nmecha or the wingers sprinting into the box to convert the cross we would be laughing
Nmecha is a lot like Piroe with his shot accuracy but Nmecha moves quicker.
Okie and James cross into the box - which is we what did last season with Solomon and James, DCl/ midfield rush forward to convert - goals galore.
11 Nov 2025 14:09:36
I think where we differ on this subject Chris is that you possibly feel we could’ve afforded better players. The reality for me was the players that we bought were only of the quality of what we could afford.
Players like Stach, Gudmundsson etc are okay but clearly not Premiership quality, but I was prepared to see what they could deliver. I’m sure yourself Chris would not have known also how these players would perform in the Premiership.
As for DCL well he is a injury prone player but if fit, does have certain qualities to perform in the Premiership. His problem currently is probably that he doesn’t want to give that extra 10% that could make the difference as he is too nervous to injure himself.
11 Nov 2025 14:44:06
Not broke bank afforded, but when we see what others seem to regularly do we seem to be getting it wrong more often
Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth etc seem now to have better calibre scouts than us also
Obviously all are longer in Prem now but you'd think fundamentally Leeds have to be better than a 20K max capacity cherries or similar Bees, why is that?
Lewin on huge money for poor returns,
Common sense is in short supply it seems within our hierarchy.
I still can't believe how they decided on Lewin and follow it up with a freebie then, we really haven't helped ourselves I believe.
11 Nov 2025 15:52:59
Chris they are all firmly rooted Premiership clubs, there maybe cheaper players on offer but they won’t want to sign for a club that will likely be relegated.
11 Nov 2025 16:25:46
Think you can add owners to that example Chris, our owners employ the recruitment teams and communication teams, but we are falling. Short on both fronts just now.
Speaking to another Leeds supporter over a pint and he insisted that Radz achieved more to date than the 49ers it surprised me but he made a compelling argument.
11 Nov 2025 17:36:24
I said that in my post OP, my point being they are smaller stature clubs and they are attracting these type players
Any new signings that contemplated Brentford this summer were surely thinking they are definitely relegation candidates.
But hey -ho, Andrews seems to be holding his own right now
Not all players are wanting European football as a pre requisite to signing, and there's no way Bournemouth+ Brentford can pay huge wages
So again I ask why are we failing where others seem to be more successful?
Orta was by and large rubbish, now we have replaced him with what seems a poor replacement, What's going on in scouting, why is it too frequent?
What ""data "" was analysed that said our strikers were going to be good fit?
Bijol seems ropey at best, how are they coming to wrong assumptions more often than not?
11 Nov 2025 18:15:41
I have not posted for a while…plenty of other dramas going on unfortunately.
The last two matches have been very concerning for me. The first time (aside from 30 minutes either side of half time v Arsenal) that we haven’t competed. At Forest, it looked like we were just going through the motions; everyone played really poorly. I know it’s a bit of a stretch, but is the infrequency of games impacting us? No ability to gain any momentum or rhythm? We averaging less than a game a week at the moment.
I don’t want Farke to be sacked (unless it was because Klopp was coming) , so just hope we show far more v Villa (all our home games in fact) and I clutch to a “unexpected” result to try and kick on and get out of the malaise. We need another 7 - 9 points between now and Christmas me thinks. I had a side bet that we would never occupy a relegation slot this season…. I think that’s a bit unlikely given our current form / run of fixtures.
I think we need 2 up front…. DCL holds the ball up well and wins a lot of first balls, but at the moment they’re not being taken advantage of.
11 Nov 2025 19:07:16
You don't want Farke sacked? Why? What's the emotional attachment?
11 Nov 2025 19:32:22
MOT, More turmoil…. it seldom makes a difference and costs money we don’t have.
11 Nov 2025 19:46:42
Turmoil of 16 years out. of big time Ani?
Money we don't have in richest league in world with a revenue stream only Bournemouth and Brentford etc would certainly swap for ours Ani.
11 Nov 2025 19:48:51
Seen a stat today
Farke has worst manager win ration in Prem history.
We are morphing into Norwich PT 2 under Farke,
He really should have been replaced in summer now imo.
11 Nov 2025 20:16:49
Ani, I thought the players were up for it v Forest, until they scored their equaliser
Then the players kacked themselves let Forest pull their pants down.
11 Nov 2025 21:28:53
It’s that 16 years of turmoil that has us where we are Chris. Bournemouth and Brentford have established themselves in the EPL and as a result have better finances than us. You can question why, but it doesn’t detract from the that we wasted a fortune in our last stint of “relegation mitigation” which we are still paying for.
We swapped our manager 3 times in our last EPL stint…made no difference to our relegation other than spending a fortune on compensation and perversely impacting our promotion push the next season.
11 Nov 2025 21:34:33
Chris, Farke statistically was the worst EPL manager, when he managed Norwich. Kieran McKenna – 0.58 PPG, has now picked up the mantle. Vincent Kompany is statistically a worse EPL manager, but he’s a god at Bayern. You can make stats say anything you want.
11 Nov 2025 22:02:04
That makes zero sense Ani
basically because we were relegated in 2004 we are now Norwich PT 2 and shall always be?
Explain that logic to me with again Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford so?
You have to accept Ani it's an owners issue, we seem to have had a few now where money primarily enriches them firstly and team seems to be scrimped on which was definitely case in summer
9'ers seem to want big stadium, well wouldn't that be secondary to a better side on match day in light of how. poor. our squad is now
Also Farke is correctly worse EPL manager ever,
But little caveat I didn't write was after 50 games, his. win rate is a shocking 15.3%.
11 Nov 2025 22:14:31
How come All 3 I mentioned have lasted longer back up then us Ani? All have been in Champo upto a few seasons ago, but now have stabilised mid table, that's what I don't get in your logic
Leeds are somehow perpetually doomed is it?
Where as other promoted sides have escaped that perpetual doom? And are now more attractive outfits?
What are Bloom - Foley et al doing that we are clearly not?
That's my point, we have circa 40 k every other week, these clubs have half that, why is it going wrong for us, after all we are supposed to have a multi billion dollar hierarchy at our disposal!
And I don't mean buying our way into trouble, I mean all the business acumen etc etc etc
Why are we turning into Norwich?
11 Nov 2025 23:03:03
Chris, you answer your own questions, so I’m not going to bother. Attendance at our ground is immaterial. It counts for basically nothing in the scheme of things. Winning the Championship earned us about £10M. Liverpool got approx. £175M for winning the EPL, plus about £58M for being in the Champions league. The teams you mention, whilst not earning anything like Liverpool, still dwarf our earnings while we spend 2 years in the championship. Until we ourselves can become established, we won’t be competing for players or managers who will improve our lot much.
Because we messed up last time we were in the EPL, I. e. buying expensive players on poor / expensive contracts, 4 managers (compensation) , we have messed up PSR. It’s not about business acumen (one could argue it’s that very point that we are showing a lot if it) , it’s about being in a commercial straight jacket.
What I find remarkable about many comments here is that, we all predicted it would be an extremely hard season, that we would struggle to avoid relegation (we were second favourites after all) , that we would lose a lot of games, take a pasting more often that not, and yet when all that comes true, everyone is shocked and angry?
11 Nov 2025 23:23:38
60 games in the prem. 9 wins. 10 draws.
4 wins away from home.
That villa game will be interesting.
May as well keep him on through the man city and Liverpool games as punishment.
12 Nov 2025 06:31:01
I don’t think there are many on here that still won’t accept that we are relegation fodder and will be the entire season.
Too many eyes on Sunderland’s impressive start which maybe not so impressive when you consider their very favourable PSR situation and the sales of players in the summer which accounted to nearly 50M.
They spent in the region of 170M in the summer with the possibility of making higher debts in January.
We on the other hand made approximately 5M on sales and we’re only allowed to spend 100M as we reach the roof of our spending capacity.
In January we have to sell players to be able to buy.
It’s not hard to see that their spending power has enabled them to strengthen with the players they wanted as opposed to us not our fist choice but mostly second or third choice players.
Winning promotion for Sunderland who had more or less a average Championship team were caught in a perfect storm that enabled them to buy a premiership ready made squad.
They were able I imagine to entice Granit Xhaka who has been a sensation for them by the promise of their spending power to make a very realistic attempt to not only survive in the Premiership but also to make an attempt for European football,
The money power between them and us and Burnley is more than double which gives them a huge advantage. I’m sure if Sunderland were in or around the relegation zone, some fans might be more accepting of the reality of our plight this season and not complain as much as they are.
12 Nov 2025 07:36:19
Yes they are so to speak smaller clubs with respect, but all have a firm grip in the Premiership with players of quality.
The only clubs that are expected to go back down are the promoted ones, so the choice becomes very thin for those type of clubs.
Wolves for example have had to sell several of top players and have brought in new players who are still better quality than what we bought in the summer. They will still climb out of the relegation zone in my opinion, Edward’s might be the catalyst for their resurgence but the point is they were still able to attract better quality players than us even with their low position last season.
12 Nov 2025 08:03:10
By the way Ani a very precise account of the difference of finance between the two leagues, including the huge financial mess left at the door of our new owners.
In fact if anyone reads Ani’s reply to Chris you get a very clear understanding of our situation.
12 Nov 2025 08:04:36
Ani you spoke of manager comp draining our cash
Bubs only ever signed 12 months rolling contract so no big payout there
Marsch signed a 3, which they paid 2 off, he wouldn't have been on colossal money
Garcia signed a " flexible " contract at the time, so again very small money
So no your manager" compensation" drain is inaccurate,
You glided over my main question
HOW OR WHAT have the teams I mentioned managed to stay. up is what I am asking
I am fully aware that attendance doesn't equate to huge cash, I raised that issue to highlight the fact we ARE a bigger club than the aforementioned BUT can't seem to stabilise ourselves the way the smaller clubs have done
What are we NOT doing correctly that the aforementioned ARE?
is my point ani and it's not the money, because we all came back up, we all got the same initial money yet we will probably go back down again now
Again I ask How has Bloom - Foley et al managed it?
Yet we will probably blow it again,
I used the business " acumen " point to highlight that we are also supposed to be ran by a hugely successful business franchise
Why aren't they using that acumen to highlight our inadequacies?
12 Nov 2025 08:22:53
Just seen your comment OP, thought I would reply pal
I am 100% fully aware those clubs have Prem stabilization now,
I am asking from 1st season back up, which we all start from, how have they took a different path?
That's my point, not ( Prem money ) we all started with the same
And we are told Leeds are abiding by PSR, so we are supposed acting as we should.
12 Nov 2025 08:34:50
Hit send by mistake OP, the last point I wanted to put down was, If there was / is no real money,
Then how are the 9'ers financing stadium rebuilds? I
A child understands you can't spend what you don't have, or that you can't get credit without due diligence credit checks, then how is this even on radar of Leeds?
If we are perpetually doomed over sins of past!
12 Nov 2025 10:49:02
The construction of new football stadiums don’t come under the scrutiny of PSR.
I totally understand the frustrations of us fans, especially us Leeds fans who have had our fair share of naive and reckless owners.
As far as I’m concerned the 49er’s are doing their business by the book and I believe we have spent as much as we are allowed to.
As Ani has pointed out, the tenure of Radrizziani hasn’t done the 49er’s any favours in getting our club in a stabilized position in the premiership, in fact for them, they probably feel like they have had both their legs together and asked to climb to the top of a hill backwards.
As far as the summer recruitment is concerned, I think they tried to bring in some proper quality but were knocked back by excessive inflated prices or a clear rejection by players not willing to go to a promoted club that will very likely be relegated by the end of the season.
Whichever way you look at it reasonably Chris, it is a very tough task, but one the is not impossible, as fans we all live in hope that we can eventually compete in the Premiership on a level ground more or less with all the other teams.
12 Nov 2025 11:40:52
The stadium example was to undermine, it's that cash that should be used in development/ scouting / etc, all free from PSR as you said
Clearly that's where we are failing, not that I could get any of ye to say that, no matter how many comments I left 😂😂😂.
12 Nov 2025 19:40:09
Thanks lads for replies, fairly lengthy thread which was a good read,
12 Nov 2025 20:39:41
Chris, re why have the three teams mentioned survived? Well, simplistically; they have been run better than us for one and more importantly, they were fortunate to have been in the EPL for the last two seasons, when frankly the 3 promoted teams on each occasion were utterly dire. Everton, Forest, and even Brentford looked far more likely to be relegated that season than us.
Let's not forget, than even in our last relegation season, the 3 teams above us, all broke PSR rules and received points deductions, unfortunately and conveniently, the season after the crime was determined. We can all contemplate why, but we for some reason in the last 10 games of that season utterly collapsed. No one, not even all seeing Baz could have predicted 4 points from the last 10 games. Who knows if we had found those two extra points and stayed up - perhaps we would been stable EPL now?
There has still never been an explanation of what went off at 1 - 1 at half time v Palace when we totally outplayed them in the first half. We were utterly dire [we had only been dire for most of that season] from that moment on.
