Takeover is still on and drawing to the ever near conclusion.

Believable36 Unbelievable12

And you know this how ? LUST update ? if so dont hold your breath

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye the conclusion bates wont sell.
Wake up mate come on.
Ed- latest ? {Ed013's Note - I think 2 things. 1) its completely over, but Bates dare not tell us cos of the riots that would happen so he is praying for another buyer to come in. 2) It has blown up like this to give everyone a kick up the backside and it may surprise us all and be completed sooner than we think. Or do I live in cloud cuckoo land and be completely wrong on both accounts!}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you Ed, optimist all the way!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed, I dont think it's option 1.Bates doesn't strike me as thekind of person who would dare not tell anyone anything

Believable22 Unbelievable13

Its not been updayed since 19:14 so your talking crap unless you work for the BBC

Agree0 Disagree0

This is from the LUST , look what happened last time they got thier facts wrong , they sent every leeds fan over the edge. only credible news is on OS

Agree1 Disagree0

To the first replier, YOU TALK CRAP !
The poster is correct ive read same thing

Agree1 Disagree0

On the BBC it says LUST says the deal is back on the table ! the bbc are just printing the interview that was aired this afternoon . LUFC have not updated anything. So it is crap. Until LUFC confirm/speculate/deny/advance the deal is open to offers as they said in the announcement. people need to stop getting exited about LUST comments they know nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have read it too and it was updated at 20.07

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you ashume its lust that have said this. When the lad clearly says its on bbc website. The clue is in what he's put down. Did you bother to read before coming out with that stupid comment. Sort your napper out.

Credible news on the OS! Where are you from?

Kieron Dyer was one of the trialists at Thorp Arch this week. QPR have allowed him to train with us, they want rid but his obvious fitness issues mean nobody including us wants to sign him on a permanent deal. Would imagine he'll sign on loan in the next week from what i've heard.

Believable8 Unbelievable32

If he signs im throwing my season ticket. hope rudy breaks his legs in training.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think he needs any1 to break it for him tbh, he'd fall over and break both legs, dislocate a shoulder and fracture his skull he's tht injury prone

People of Leeds and far afield take note, the takeover is still on! I have just watched an interview with Gary Cooper of LUST and for once I fully believe he has the interest of the club at heart and isn't trying to cause trouble. He states that the intermediary that they have daily contact with has confirmed that the two parties are still talking and working towards a successful conclusion.

What this space!

Believable20 Unbelievable4

SNAP ! We will be bought, sooner than folk think.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so, cant bare another season of bates. `ill get the champagne on ice in anticipation. LLHB

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sorry but if they are in contact with them on a daily basis why did they come out and slag Off prospective new owners saying that getting no info from them its all rubbish lust havent got a clue

Agree0 Disagree0

Post the link? Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Cooper is an overblown meddling clown. He needs to keep his mouth shut, let the deal either complete or collapse and then have his say.

What happens if the new owners fall out with LUST down the line? Do you think Cooper will be backing them then? If he wants to have a say in the club, put some money up and buy it or do like the rest of us, voice our opinion in places like this, the pub or the terraces, not on regional tv and through the media!

Mr Bates wanted more money so the buyers decided they wouldn't play his games. So we are either in a bidding war with others or Mr Bates is flapping and knows it has fallen through with no other bids and therefore realises how much s**t he is going to get, so makes us think there is still a potential takeover!}

leeds fan in gosport (next to pompey) a few pompey mates hearing rumours lawrence to leeds anyone heard owt would do a job for us

Believable24 Unbelievable6

Is he a left or right winger, but we could do with both if rogers is going.he's an international, so I think would be a good signing.
We could change our name to include some reference to Portsmouth if we carry on.why not get Ben hiam and kitson, hell we need a striker, let's go for kanu too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Too slow if he was any good Cardiff would have kept him after taking him on loan back end of last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard he was talking to Cardiff where he was on loan last season

I hope not, but unfortunately he might as well come to the home of retired Portsmouth footballers

Think we should start a whipround to fund them
or maybe get the £5 used by LUST for membership fees should go towards possible transfers 7000x5

I live near wolves and work there, I'm worried by them this season.they have somehow managed to keep almost all of their team, And it aintM't a bad team.unfortunately I think they will walk it!
If there is a god let us beat them on the first day!

So who's gonna captain us tomorrow. Pearce? Kenny? Austin ?

Believable11 Unbelievable0

I hope it is Pearce but I expect it will be Kenny

Agree0 Disagree0

I think pearce, captained Portsmouth and Bournemouth so knows what its all about
mot ben

Agree1 Disagree0

Captaincy has pearce written all over it, we all know how big, strong and powerful he is and can throw the odds about for fun.
Pearce for me anyhow.
Lead from the back john terry style and we'll kill this league off with him in command

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't think it will be Kenny mate, when Warnock first came he removed the armband from then captain Lonergan as he shaid he doesn't believe that goalkeeper should be captain.

I really hate LUST.....NOTHING BUT TROUBLE CAUSERS!!! Yesterday was a really bad time to announce the takeover is dead with the season days away. for me they know nothing more than the average joe.Iv read fans are boycotting games becaue of LUST's comments yesterday....How is that going to help our club??? In my opinion a takeover will happen at some point but LUST need to keep there noses out and stop scaring off potential investors and FANS, i mean who would want to buy a club that has a few jumped up t***s interfering all the time. LUST and person members SHUT UP!!
M.O.T
Lee

Believable34 Unbelievable22

You shut up fool and dont tell me and LUST what to do. Fans are boycotting cos of Bates.

Agree0 Disagree3

Its Bates who is scaring investors by "moving the goalposts" LUST's action whilst perhaps a bit hasty, is no way responsible for the impasse in current proceedings. That is all down to Bates' greed. Upping his demands mid negotiation. A boycott is the only weapon we really have, as fans, to send a message to Bates. I suggest we use it. LLHB

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets get behind the team f**k bates !!...boycotting games and staging protest will only scare off investors !!...rushy

Agree4 Disagree0

Agree with top post. LUST should keep their noses out.
Real fans will support the team regardless. If you don't want to buy things in the ground, fair enough but in the long run it won't really help as it could only make the club less attractive to investors. Boycotting games is the same, but will not help the team on the pitch either.

Agree4 Disagree0

If it wasnt for lust we would not have known of any proposed takeover......

Agree0 Disagree3

I agree, LUST should keep out , who died and made them God !! support the club and shut up, who do they think they are? can't remember ever voting them in to look after the clubs interests !!

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree with main post, but isn't the idea of LUST to bring fans together with one goal but to me they just seem to get peoples backs up pretending the know anything when they know nowt! o.w

Agree1 Disagree0

How do we even know bates is being unreasonable? its only speculation. Boycotting games is pathetic and doest help anything. How can you be p***** off with Bates when he has given NW all the funds he has and is now confirming he is selling the club, This should be like Xmas to all the loveless, hateBates folk, chill out and just be patent.

Agree0 Disagree0

I m with you Lee.
LUST should keep their noses out. Not sure what their purpose is meant to be regarding this takeover, but they re appearing as trouble causes who interfere where they are not needed.
Can t support them encouraging supporters not to support. Does not make sense. Not sure if you represent my views or the views of the majority of Leeds fans. I certainly didn't vote for you so please don't pretend to speak on behalf of all Leeds fans.
JonnyH

Agree0 Disagree0

LUST causing people to boycott games at ER lol.....what effing planet do some of you people live on, people have been boycotting ER for seasons now because of Bates, nothing at all to do with lUST.....surely youve noticed the blocks of empty seats over the last few seasons? Have you been living on another planet? Morons!

Agree0 Disagree0

The only person scaring off potential investors is greedy Ken. LUST are supporters who want the best for the club and if you believe otherwise then go ahead and boycott. That won't worry hard nosed Ken one bit, no doubt he'll even gloat about it in his programme notes. Season is about to start, get behind Colin and the players if your a member of LUST or not. Everything else will take it's own course.

Agree0 Disagree1

Didn't LUST find the investor?

Agree0 Disagree1

From what I have seen so far no one knows why the deal collapsed although I have seen speculation saying both Ken Bates & the Arabs did. As per usual we wont no anything until either the deal is done or has collapsed totally and the confidentiality clause has finished. But i do agree with the original poster. Lust just seem to want to stir up trouble and seem to think because the have a few thousand members they are the voice of Leeds United supporters. Well I've supported Leeds all my life and they dont speak for me. However rant over everyone has a right to their opinion so I suppose LUST can say what they want as can everyone else

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we know that Bates is being unreasonable??? Duh!

Who is paying you son to write this Bates is the Messiah garbage?

It is just possible you are a true Leeds supporter but if so I suggest you slag off the Leech and not fellow fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Grow up ......

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with original post lust are a bunch of self important nobodies who just sh*t stir and should f**k off and support someone else

Agree1 Disagree0

LUST represent the top 7000 hardcore supporters of our football team. For too long we have had no representative voice and thankfully we now have one. LUST are backed by all our supporter forums and are completely transparent. Get yourself informed before spouting utter nonsense.

i know old ken isn't do us any favours but this is our club and if we abandon the club we abandon our players.
I for one will try be as ever present as i can be. look at the venkys they havent gone despite protests and numerous complaints.
lets do our bit for the club we all love and cherish.

I've just read in a few places that Mccormack signing for Forest as it looks like they are missing out on the 3m signing of Simon Cox and the £4m signing of Nicky Maynard.

This could well be true as he nearly signed for them before he signed for us.

A big loss

Believable7 Unbelievable27

Id that £4.00 you mean , we have no money , have yiu not been watching whats been going on , we have spent nothing but only on players we have sold

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 1st commentor...have you not read the actual post??
Forest missing out on 3m and 4m signings

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you have misread my post. Its Forest that have missed out on a £3m bid for Simon Cox and also a £4m bid for Maynard. Not us.

Forest are supposedly coming in for McCormack.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccormack not going anywhere, discussing new deal today so stop making up stupid rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

Has mcormack actually signed an extension ?

Agree0 Disagree0

You need to read the post properly. It say Forest are in for McCormack as they have missed out on Cox and Maynard. It's easy to understand if you read it.

Leeds to sign El Haj Diouf and Martin Cranie over the weekend both on a free.

Paynter will also leave to Doncaster for a undisclosed fee.

Believable23 Unbelievable8

If nw can sort his head out he could be a really good signing

Agree1 Disagree0

That's the best one yet. A fee for Billy Paynter. What you on?

Agree1 Disagree0

We will have to pay Donny to sign him!

Agree2 Disagree1

I believe thats the plan from NW , although it will depend on wheter he can free up some wages first to offer them a contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

We got offered £175,000 last summer for paynter from Brighton but grayson wanted £250,000 so we should be looking at some type of fee to recover wages spent

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor Donny. They used to have Billy Sharp. Soon they'll have Billy Blunt!

NW on OS:

"I'm happy with Luke Varney and I think there is more to come from Luciano yet. He's missed a couple of weeks training, and we need him functioning on full throttle. On the other side, we've asked Green to play there a couple of times but I would like more of an offensive player if I can."

They don't come much more offensive than Diouf do they? ;)

Believable18 Unbelievable5

Haha! Exactly what hes looking for then

Agree0 Disagree0

Can anyone confirm if diouf is training with us? Why is there no press release why no statement from club

Agree0 Disagree0

He also goes on to say we can give most teams a game. Mmm sounds like he is really optimistic,
most could mean 15 teams!
I think we will have a pretty good idea how tbe season is going to pan out by week 5
Hope we have some points by then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol like your spin on that one, he is very offensive but on his day he will cause every team in our league problems with his footballing ability.

Agree1 Disagree0

You obviously didn't go to the Preston game otherwise you would not be happy with Varney

Further to our reports earlier today that the proposed takeover of Leeds United has collapsed, we have been working to find out more details about the situation.

We were told that in the last few days negotiations between Leeds United and the potential investors were delicately poised, and that yesterday Shaun Harvey flew to Monaco for discussions about the deal. This morning we were informed that the deal for a takeover of the club had collapsed.

As soon as we were able we shared news of this development with our members and with the wider Leeds United fan base, who have been anxiously waiting for updates since the club’s last statement in June.

As the day has progressed, we have done all we can to get a full picture of the situation at Elland Road. What has become clear to us is that events are moving quickly, and that urgent discussions have been taking place in the light of this deal’s collapse.

Those discussions have resulted in this evening's statement from Leeds United on their official website, which has confirmed that the period of exclusivity agreed with a potential investor has ended.

The statement goes on to say that Leeds United are happy to continue discussions with this investor on a non-exclusive basis, and we are encouraged that the opportunity is still there to conclude a deal that had reached an advanced stage, but had looked to be over this morning.

We are also pleased to read in this statement that Leeds United remain willing to listen to approaches, and we welcome this positive stance. As we have stated previously, Leeds United Supporters' Trust have spoken with several parties interested in the future of Leeds United, and we are pleased that the door appears to be open for them to come forward.

At L.U.S.T. we remain committed to our Vision Statement and the desire our members have for change at Leeds United. While we are disappointed that the uncertain situation at Elland Road looks set to continue, we will keep doing all we can to help bring about a positive future for Leeds United.

As ever, we will update the fans with developments whenever we can

Believable23 Unbelievable13

Not a swipe at LUST but this statement is just a padded out version of the club statement, ie LUST know nothing of what is going on too. Just several paragraphs to highlight what we already know.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whilst they may think that they have the clubs best interest at heart when they are getting involved in the takeover/investment talks but it seems to me that the more L.U.S.T. get involved the worse they make things. It just appears that they are just interfering and making it more difficult to get any potential deal done. Leave it to Bates and Co to sort out the deal and then see what happens.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who are you? who informed you of these facts? They make out they doing the fans a favour when really they are just annoying the h3ll out of everyone involved in concluding the deal, typical leeds, always shoot ourselves in the foot we have no right as a fan to know anything that goes on in the boardroom yet these folks shamelessly barrage everyone and anyone at the club for info and put everything at risk.its pathetic! it kinda reminds me of when i was a kid constantly writing letters to club for signed pictures of players dont get me wrong iam a huge leeds fan and dont exactly love ken bates but we need to realise there is nothing we can do. end of! i wish there were but look at scum, desperatley waving theyre yellow and green scarves in every game pretty much since the glazers took over about 5 years ago and where has it got them? nowhere! Don't get me wrong this year is going to be a very tough year if we are to gain promotion. However the fact of the matter is the team is very much an improvement on last year whether you want to be pessimistic or not.

Kenny is better than Lonergan.

Ashdown and Rachukba (i'm not even going to say how much better as i cannot put it into words)

Pearce is alot better than O'Dea

Peltier is alot better than Connoly

Drury is better than Robinson/ an inexperienced Aidy White (hopfeully he will come on like Clayton did last year).

Austin is better than any central midfielder we had last year.

Norris, Green, Luke Varney are an improvement on Pugh, Rogers, Sam and Nunez, but granted Snoddy is going to be a loss.

And Neil Warnock is ten times the manager Simon Grayson is.

But most importantly we have the greatest and most passionate fans in the world cheering them on, and with us getting behind them anything is possible.

MOT. In Warnock we Trust.

Lets have massive support for the Team and Warnock!

The season starts with a competitive game tomorrow and then the League kicks off next weekend. No boycotting no protesting lets give Neil what hes been talking about with the backing we give the team,

Here we go with Leeds United...

Totally agree mate. We need to get ourselves into a positive state of mind. Forget the business and concentrate on the football. That's Bates mistake !

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said mate, an excellent post!

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree 100% fella. The team we have will be competitive without a doubt and I think we'll have a season similar to our first back in the Championship. The players NW has brought in will shed blood, sweat for the shirt. I'm fed up with the takeover business and have been for a while now. Bates, well I don't give two hoots there either. It's a new season, so heres to a successful one!

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant believe anyone would disagree!! its not an opinion its fact o.w

Agree0 Disagree0

You have not mentioned the fact we have not replaced Snodgrass, Howson or even Gradel yet. we have very little goal threat and are lacking in pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one am gutted an investor hasn't agreed to take the club and throw millions of pounds at the team.

However, I agree with TeeJ, this is a very good squad, far better than last year, and as much as I like SG, NW is a top notch manager who will give us a better chance of promotion

Hopefully one or two more quality players and we will do very very well

I am excited about the upcoming season for the first time in quite a while

Hi all Leeds fans we all heard the news yesterday that the takeover is off..... But is it? I keep reading the statement on th os and all it really says is the exclusivity rights is over.... We all know bates is a business man so is he trying to play his last hand by cancelling the exclusivity rights to see if it can move the takeover along quicker... Just a thought what do u guys think...

Believable31 Unbelievable4

I think you're right however he won't have cancelled them, if you remember they have already had an extension on the exclusivity and now that has probably just ran out. I am not losing hope whatever happens happens hes 80 so i doubt he'll want the stress of the angry fans on his mind.

Bates has remained silent (Very unlike him) throughout the who saga and even after yesterdays news still no comments. If everything had completely collapsed he would be the first to have a go at the other side but nothing. Patience, patience, patience, and then hopefully something will happen

Agree1 Disagree0

How is he trying to move it along quicker? The deal was on the table, Bates has slowed/screwed it up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only bates knows if he is selling the club.... {Ed020's Note - am scared that even he does'nt know in his old age lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

If Bates didn't want to sell, he wouldn't have entered discussions in the first place. Why then, would he possibly want to slow/screw up the deal. Maybe the potential investers are slowing/screwing it up?

The tactic used by Ken Bates is very common and is often used in negotiations.

Essentially, it does seem that he has tried, in some way, to change the terms of the deal. This is not uncommon, as circumstances change, espescially during such a long and protracted process.

What has ensued is effectively a case of brinkmanship. Bates has opened this up to other investors in the hope that he can frighten the original buyers into meeting his terms. Failing that, they may end up negotiating and finally coming to an arrangement. If the buyers simply will not meet Bates's new demands, then it will collapse.

Thankfully, sources coming out of the club do seem to indicate that there is a deal to be done here. It just seems Bates is kicking his heels in, big time.

Believable31 Unbelievable4

Why do you need to talk fancy? Just say it so everyone can understand!

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds fans make me laugh when they found out they was suppose to be taken over I heard everyone on of the top 20richest people in the world was taking over even tho no names got released! Now the takeovers obviously over its all of a sudden a tatic to get the ball tooling n moving faster when it's obvious it's fell through n now ur looking for others to make a bid which with the state of the club is no1would go near with dodgy bates at the helm who in there right mind would want to waste 50mill on a club who doesn't own there training ground or stadium

Agree0 Disagree0

Its easy to understand matey:P

Agree0 Disagree0

He's is not 'talking fancy', It's called being articulate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here.

In simple terms, Bates is trying to frighten the buyer into meeting his terms. The idea is by opening up talks to other investors they will worry about losing out on the deal and cough up the asked price.

I imagine there will now be another round of negotiation.

LUST now saying the deal might be back on.

I am amazed they exist or that anybody beleives they are a credible organisation.

Just because they thought of an anagram and started a members club albeit not sanctioned by Leeds, they believe they are entitled to be kept in the loop all the time.

I'm a fan and a season ticket holder and like you I feel its been an incredibly frustrating summer... BUT I have no actual right to demand to know anything (sadly). This is between Ken and any would be investors.

If a stranger, employee or friend asked you how much money you have and what you own and do with that money you would say p1ss off why should I tell you.

At the end of the day the supporters of a football club are the customers of that business. I shop each week at Morrisons but I don't expect a say in how the company is run nor do I expect to be kept informed about corporate decisions. Lets get things in perspective and realise that the self important LUST have been duped by KB as he attempts to get the deal finalised.
Chris

Agree0 Disagree0

Who the hell do LUST think they are?
They want to take all the glory but really dont have a clue what is going on.
If the takeover fails they will blame Bates and no doubt organise another pointess march and aggro outside the stadium

This is from a life long LUFC supporter

Agree0 Disagree1

I can see your point but we have all invested our own money in the club aswell and if i have invested in somone I would like to know whats happening.

Agree1 Disagree0

Are you mad! of course we have a right to know after months of nothing, what is goin on with are club. We the supporters are the bread and butter of the club. Without us there would be no club. so i guess we are the most important thing at the club.
I think you are forgetting LUST are, are own supporters and Bates is not a supporter. So who would be more likely to give a sh=t about are club. Some people forget, the lust president is one of are greatest keepers Nigel Martyn, who always loved us.
I think people forget Bates hated us a few years ago and came out with some really bad comments about how he would love to see us go under or out the league. People say he saved us but i know for a fact someone else would of come in had he not been around. I feel the creditors went with Bates because he had delt with this sort of thing before. The thing different this time is. Bates gived a sh=t about Chelsea, been a cockney and all that.
Bates likes us all to be like little sheep, following and not saying a word. To many assets have gone, with nothing comeing the other way.
I will be there on Saturday, supporting my team no matter what but i feel we need to find a new way, of getting this man out of are club.

Bates company has a duty of care to the people of Leeds. He uses our name and takes our money. But he calls fans morons.

If he doesn't want to trade as Leeds United let him trade as Bates United and see how many fans turn up.

Sorry mate you are living in the past and seem to think the Banks & Bates can do what they like without public scrutiny - well not any more.

Whether or not you are irritated by Lust at least they took a stand - even if some people disagree with them - all credit to them for doing something to stand up to the Leech!

Once the takeover is through whether next week or next year lets unite behind the team - not behind Bates.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not there friend, we are the bread and butter of this great club. Without us there would not be a club to invest in. So yes we have a right to know a little something, after waitting passiantly for some news to come out.
In that case then, you might aswell send your money to me and i could give you something that is pi=s poor. I guess you would be happy with that. Don't forget no questions asked, bought as seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

But think of it this way we are not strangers we are the fans that have been putting money into the club as well i am also a season ticket holder and buy alot of merchandise.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think lust has made errors but I think they are trying there best to find out what is going on with our club. You forget ken bates is only a custodian until the next owners take over then the next and so on but it's our club the supports who pay the season tickets, match tickets which are so redicliouly high for the average players we have had over the years. The overprice food program's we buy because we love Leeds.

But if we all stopped there would be no Leeds united so again I say it's our club not his so stop been so stupid and let's all get together stop fighting between all us fans who all want the same thing and that is success for a once great club and the only way is to get bates out and get ppl in who loves Leeds will spend in our future not sell everything off.

Agree0 Disagree0

LUST are just a pian in the arse and are no more than mischief makers. Its about time they shut up. They have not been able to wait to say its collapsed. I hope Bates does pull it off and they can then crall back under the stone they came from.

Agree0 Disagree0

L.U.S.T is not an anagram, it's an acronym. Bates has sullied the name of the club with his gratuitously rude (and sometimes slanderous) comments. He runs the club in an autocratic way that makes the Dictator of Syria loook like a pinky-liberal. He owns a radio station that we have to listen to (since he cancelled the contract with the BBC) if we want to hear how the club is doing in away games, and hires sychophants to ask him the questions he himself has written. To have any hope of the club getting back into the Premiership, investment is required. This is true of any business, other than ones whom the owner wishes to drain the profits from as long as possible. The truth is that we are in the Championship, just as we were when Bates took over; since then we have sold our best players, earned money through TV rights, sponsorship, advertising on Yorkshire Radio and, of course, ticket sales and what progress have we gained? - None. I am not a member of L.U.S.T., but I think we should all be grateful for a group that is desparately trying to lift our club out of the mire.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who says fans invest in the club noo you haven't invested in Leeds, buying tickets or shirts is not investing. Investing is buying shares. I work for a big chemical company and if our customers wanted to know everything or vice versa companies would not be happy, nor do they think they are our investors simply because they buy our goods.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we all want to know what is going on but LUST need to stop interfering and stirring things up. They stir things up forcing the club to make a public statement which still keeps us in the dark and then the following day they come out with another comment, totally opposite to the previous one !! Very annoying

Agree0 Disagree0

If LUST insist on making statements on Twitter or any other media format they should at least check the facts are right first instead of stirring things up for the sake of their own gratification.
Bates (love or hate him) is running a business that he IS trying to sell. He will not and indeed should not tell LUST what is happening.
Like the rest of us dedicated supporters LUST accept this and put their ego back in its box.
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Nigel martyn is not the chairman of lust

Agree0 Disagree0

You disgust me.. LUST stood up, for US.. the Leeds Fans, where Bates couldn't give a monkey's and calls us morons, steals our money, offers LIES, SELLS our best players who want to leave for why? BATES that's why, they know Bates has nothing but £££ to make from the club, soon there will just be a hotel, converance centre, casino, cinema, ect and no Leeds United! He's slowly working on his master plan!

Shaun Harvey is his lap dog, but trying to broker the deal so HE gets a massive pay out!

As mentioned, Nigel Martyn is President of LUST< so every time to slag off LUST you slag of Martyn, he's no Lorimer, or Gray who get paid in Bates' chocolate coins!

Wake up you fools, sheep, MORONS if you're not wanting to KNOW what is going on.. YOU do the leg work, meetings etc the LUST do.. as we don't see YOU doing ANYTHING but slag off the board AND LUST!

FFS its a complete mess that Bates has created, and all this coming before a cup match, and a week before the start of the season!

MARCHING ON "TOGETHER" ???

I HOPE WE CAN DO!

PS: I am NOT LUST, I am a LEEDS UNITED FAN, IN EXILE!

Agree0 Disagree0

The bottom line is ken bates owns Leeds united and can do or say whatever he wants
We as fans have a choice
Go or don't go
That's a basic as it needs to be
Yes I would love to no what's happening I'm a season ticket holder and go to most away games but can I really demand to know the finances of the club
I don't need lust to mediate for me I accept mr bates thinks I'm a person but I still line his pocket as Leeds utd will be around long after he has gone
Would we accept been called morons but been told the ins and outs of the finances
Would that be acceptable
No
We have to accept it is what it is and we make our choice based on is ken bates bigger than Leeds utd which he isn't
I don't no any club who involves there fans in the finances or the running of the club but because we have a gang who claim to represent the masses of Leeds fans they think they have a divine right to confidential information
We all sing along to mot but don't seem to follow what it says

It wunt surprise me but he has done far too much hard work this summer to throw it all away, plus he loves leeds fans, keep the faith mot

Not a chance now hes built 90% of his squad. Diouf will sign on a free leaving money from any further sales to generate money for a striker

LUST have become the very definition of irony.
The vast majority of Leeds United Supporters (DON'T) Trust the Leeds United Supporters Trust.
In their pursuit of driving out Bates because of the damage he is doing to our club and the divide he creates amongst our fans they are themselves incarnating into an entity that is damaging the club and dividing the fans.
LUST also need to stop looking like they are using this battle against Bates as a way of self promotion.
They do not run the club, they are not the voice of any potential new investors and they do not speak for the majority of the fans.
Back off LUST, let events take their natural course and focus again on been an organisation that is beneficial to Leeds United Football Club, it's team and it's supporters.

Whole heartedly agree. LUST are a destabilizing influence that are only serving to undermine the club they profess to support. In that sense they are no better than the man they detest.
Pistols 50.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the LUST have become a bit of a joke. They are yet another self-appointed group, who arguably set up with good intentions, but have quickly lost their credibility. How can they claim to represent all Leeds fans. We are all individuals with our own ideas and opinions. What we all share is the love of our club, and the desire to see it back where it belongs, without Papa Smurf milking it. Their announcement about the takeover collapse was totally unhelpful, and they didn't even get the facts right.

Like others have said it could be a way of forcing the interested parties hands. If the consortium are lead by a Leeds fan he will not want it to get away.

Perhaps there has been more interest from an even more able investor with greater resources.

It has not looked like we were going to spend a lot
Players anyway. So let's look towards getting a new strike in even if it's Maynard on loan and diiof. A least there is a bit of pace upfront. The milliiins will role in for the January transfer window. Oh perhaps the present deal is taking to long and another consortium can bang the deal through quickly to give Neil a week or so with a few quid. Mot

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Wishful thinking i'm afraid, falling for bates lies. He's trying to shaft the main bidder, other 'potential' investors will see this behaviour and take note. Bates greed is going to keep this club in the doldrums for a long time to come. Whilst we all keep trotting along to ER, turning in a very nice profit for him, thank you very much. `if you go to the opener he will be laughing in your faces at the wolves match, he just doesn't care.
