Breaking news, on the back of promotion and cup success with Burton Leonard Squirrel, Gary Walker is rumoured to be lined up to replace Simon Grayson.

2. Why would a non league burton leonard whatever they're called manager suddenly go to a near premiership standard team before proving himself in league 1 or league 2

3. why are you so stupid to not see that someone is having a laugh here

This is actually true. Gary Walker is a highly respected manager in the lower leagues and has known Grayson from the Leeds youth team. From what I've heard Snodin is at fault for the defence last season and Walker is in line to replace him.

Not sure about Stockdale.. Yes I would like him to come play for us but permanent.. If he comes on loan, they can have a 24h recall clause which would leave us in the sh1t

The chances of getting Smith are slim as he doesn't want to leave Newcastle or step down a league.
There are rumours that our other CM signing will be Dave Jones ex Wolves (TWITTER).
Also expect Bromby to return to Sheff utd but it may or may not involve Montgomery (££ WAGES)
Expect Gradel to sign anew deal before the end of the transfer window.

I hope for Jones... Had some good reviews about him...

Fulham are expected to loan goalkeeper David Stockdale to a Championship club in the coming days, so Swansea will miss out on his services.

Stockdale has been linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium, but the Cottagers have ruled out allowing him to join a Premier League club as they cannot insert a 24-hour recall clause in the deal.

That means the 25-year-old will have to drop down a level if he wants to secure regular first-team football.

Fulham goalkeeping coach Hans Segers told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle: "There are quite a few clubs interested and I can see something happening in the next few days.

"I'm waiting for confirmation from one of the clubs."

If fulham wont a 24hr call back then that is the last thing we wont. No point signing him just for fulham to call him back and leave us in deep s##t.

All well and good, but we need a permanent number 1, not one who could leave the club at any point.

iv heard that andy king from leicester city is up here, does anybody know if this is true or has anyone seen him, would be a great signimg but would cost a mint.

Would be a superb signing and you never know with all the incomings at Liecester.

No chance he's their captain isn't he? and was their top scorer last season.

A couple of rumours that have arrised

Smith from newcastle and Hargreaves from free

I dont know if everyone will agree with me but what a midfield we would have, alot of options would be created, yes smith and hargreaves are getting on but they will be great for championship level,

we would have the likes of

Smith
Hargreaves
Houson
Snodgrass
Gradel
Clayton

as all midfielders and therefore would give us the opition of putting snodgrass and/or gradel upfront playing a 4-3-3 formation,

Either that or selling one of the two

If we captue smith and hargreaves i believe we will have a decent chance of promotion this season so long as they dont get injured and we get another decent striker and a decint defender

Come on LEEDS

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the past if both smith and particularly Hargreaves got fit, that'd be amazing, but that sounds pretty costly I'm not sure its believable

Both taking up the treatment room for a large part of the season, yeah great signings....

They are both crocks, would sap all our wage budget and for what minimal input, they would take the place of someone we could bring in with much more talent, youth and fitness/health.

One question...why are you all so desperate to get injury prone players in? Take out the fact your all judging them on years gone by performance, judge them NOW and answer the question.
As for Smith inparticular what part of his behaviour/actions makes you even believe he wants a move back? Ain't half Baffling...

Believe me or not but Grayson is pushing the boat out and making it his mission to sign owen Hargreaves, he believes he is perfect for the team and would be crucial in getting Leeds to the prem, apparently bates is willing to pay the wages to lure him as he is desperate to get the club to the top flight, obviously he wants to make the pounds in the premiership, I know because Peter lorimer is a very good friend of the family, not saying where going to sign him but I know Grayson and the club representatives are doing all they can.

So are Stoke and Leicester...wonder where he will go?

Robbie Savage has said on Twitter that he's going on holiday for 2 weeks then when he comes back he has a "massive massive decision" to make. With him saying he'd only play for Leeds if he retired.. Maybe SG has been in touch with him? {Ed015's Note - wont happen}

Oh please god no I pray he doesn't sign my cousin used to play with him in all the Irish underage teams and said of all the professional players to have made a career he said he would have given odds of 7 billion to 1 for him to make it. On my own personal opinion seen him play live quite a few times and sadly I have to agree with my cousin, he would struggle to stand out in the Eirsom League here in Ireland. Come on Grayson pull something out of the bag.

Rachubka is number 12 so expect a decent number 1 to come in, Stockdale would be a loan and even that is unlikely, dudek wont happen.

Swansea just signed a keeper doubt they'll get stockdale when they have yves as back up

He didn't actually say that He said we would be willing to go out on loan, and swansea would interest him- but he would be willing to go elsewhere Read it properly and get your facts right. {Ed015's Note - Jol has said he is waiting for a Championship club to confirm the deal.... looks like its just signing on the dotted line left to do}

I know some people won't believe this and will push the "disagree" button frantically - but let's not kid ourselves there are going to be ANY big signings - Rachubka WILL be our No1 and one of the youngsters our No 2 - the squad we have now will be the squad we have for the first game - bates will not pay the wages needed to attract better players and Grayson will soon realise that it's futile to keep trying and go with what we have - I don't blame Grayson and am a big fan of his but bates will put business before success - so here it is , let's just get behind our team and put up with the away shirt - and to all you who are going to hit "disagree" button just remember this post in a few weeks time - I hope I'm wrong by the way {Ed017's Note - Lets see what the coming week will bring SG is hoping to add players for the Scottish games....

Can't believe some of you lot on here knocking Bates all the time. If you had your way we'd be back to the good old days of Ridsdale, SPEND SPEND SPEND We nearly went out of business, we nearly didn't have a club and all for a few moments of glory. When the time is right I'm sure you'll get your way and Bates will sell up and retire on his millions but to do that he has to make the club an attractive proposition. For example we own our ground and training facilities, the books show a profit, income exceeds expenditure, so let him get on with it and stop sniping all the time

Paddy kisnorbo has just signed a new 2 year deal with Leeds.

Good bit of business if Paddy can find the form he had before before the injury. I saw Lee's play a handful of times last season and i was really impressed looked quality, composed, and had he been recalled and played for us last season wouldnt of looked out of his depth.I know that wouldnt of be difficult. Im hoping he gets the chance but i cant help feeling he may be another player that gets snapped up on the cheap after a season warming the bench.

Hope he has not lost it we will see but we need cover in this position also we need to sign a strong centre back to go alongside O brien. Dunne would be ideal but we would not be able to afford him
