Noel hunt is out of contract in summer!
Reasons to buy him
1) prolific
2) low wage
3) knows McDermott

Buy what?

Prolific. What are you talking about mate? 1 goal in every 4 matches is hardly prolific.

You have just spent 12 months moaning about managers looking after their old mate's?,
Agree0

I saw hunt was out of contract the other week and thought them if we get BMD he'd be a good signing, certainly not prolific but a good player, more of a hole type player like Ross. Not sure what his wages are either but if he came I'd be fairly happy with him to start with. I don't mind players following managers around as long as there half decent and can pass on that green stuff

Pass on the green stuff? He's not a dealer is he?
Agree0

Prolific! Don't make me laugh. I would rather sign Gareth Hunt
Agree0
Disagree0
He says he's out of contract buy him. err. he'd be free if out of contract, no buying needed. good post this lol.
Agree0
Disagree0
You still buy him on a free.
Agree0
Disagree1
You don't buy him if he's free, you sign him. Buy mean pay money, i. e Free.
Agree0
Disagree0
He's a 10 goal a season striker, who plays in the same position as McCormack. Why buy him if we've already got better?
Agree0
Disagree0
Noel Hunt. Is 30 so only going to get worst and lose pace and his over all standard and for a striker his record is poor.
144 Apps 33 Goals
Almost average of 1 goal every 5 games. Amazing signing. not.
Agree0
Disagree0
So hunt at 30 would be a poor signing? morison at 29 is a masterstroke then is he? I know who I would rather have and its not that useless thing we already have.
Agree0
Disagree1
"Why buy him if we already have better" it's called building a squad! We don't just get one for every position and hope they stay fit/stay in form all season
Agree0
Disagree0
So do you buy two awful players for every position? I thought the idea was to buy better players to build and improve
Agree0
Disagree0
Only reason to buy would be to provide options we don't already have. You don't buy one player and hope he stays fit but you also don't buy too many players of similar position and playing style. Yes, that can provide competition for places but the same play isn't going to work against every team. Need to be able to mix it up throughout a season.
Morison was pretty good when he played at Millwall. Didn't see him play for Norwich. He may rediscover that touch and enthusiasm under BMD. Haven't seen anything of Hunt to suggest he'd give us anything different or better.
Agree0
Disagree0
We were not going to see the best of morison this season anyway he hardly played for norwich in the 12 months before signing for us, plus he was signed by warnock who was hardly an inspirational manager, let him have a full pre-season under mcdermott get his confidence back and he will prove to be an asset to the team, its the same usual moany persons that give him rubbish on social media, if he had scored 10 goals he would still be getting by some, chill out and relax we have some relevant managerial talent in the dugout now, the deluded access bus to warnockville has finally departed

Jesus! wot is it with Leeds fans? this is the most forward thinking appointment since O'Leary! nobody knows at this stage how good or bad it will turn out but for gods sake let's get behind the man and give him a chance!
Agree5

For gods sake, why are people so down on Brian already?give the man a chance to walk through the door, I think he will steady the ship and given time and a little cash (though I think he's very good at picking up bargains, after all he was chief scout for years and found Doyle, hunt etc) he will do really well. I mean he's done fantasticly well at the rhinos!

Call yourself FANS?
Your a joke just support the team regardless of who's in charge FFS!

Why can't we all be positive about McDermott, I for one think it's a great appointment, just what the club needs right now. maybe instead of moaning we all get 100% behind him. And maybe just like us he has a point to prove to everyone that he is good enough, like we think Leeds are. Good luck Brian, THE BOSS, some off us believe in you.
Agree3

Have you listened to the conference I had a chat and would not have come otherwise. He also said he is hungry and wants success. Think about it would any of us give a bloke who said I am leaving at the end of seasons money
Agree0

Get behind the man, would of been easy for him to say no. He walked this league with Reading and he's hungry for success moT
Agree1

BMD biggest problem he will face will be the Leeds fans. Give him time. Its a 3 year project so don't expect miracles over night. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Delighted with have Mr McDermott seen his press conference he is going to be a legend, but he is going to need time maybe he could surprise even next season.

I was entirely dismissive of Warnock's appointment from the start. On here, many derided my point at the beginning of the season that, thanks to Warnock, we would be rebuilding again at the end of the season.
I have been proven right.
I've also predicted that GFH bought us to flip us but are doing quite well, so far.
Again, I have been proven right.
I would have preferred Poyet (which I was also calling for from the beginning of the season) but, with McDermott, I actually think we could have some stability. Maybe we won't have the most spectacular season and I can see Byram being sold in the summer to fund the 10th rebuild in as many years (really hope I'm wrong with that one) but, I see us being harder to beat and playing more expressively. Prediction for next season; fourth and losing in the playoffs.
Prediction for 2014/15 season. Second and automatic.
