Leeds Are Going Up

Believable44 Unbelievable68

Only gradel stands out there we need a bit more to be going up

Agree1 Disagree0

Get over Harte , he was crap first time around and if you dont know that you never saw him week in week out.

Agree5 Disagree0

I have to question the football knowledge of anyone that dreams up Ian Harte. Try watching You tube of game 3 - 4 against Newcastle united when Salano destroyed him. He can score free kicks and penalties but was responsible for wingers etc scoring far more against Leeds cos he couldn't do the principle thing of a defender and that's defend. He was one of very few mistakes made by O'Leary which was to continue to play him and the 2 signings of Seth Johnson and Robbie Fowler......

harte would be a good signing even if its just for his delivery of set pieces

Agree0 Disagree2

That team will not get us up buddy !! Hart and Tonge cant break 20 seconds for the 100 metres and we wont get Maxi and Cambell.

ian harte was left exposed by harry kewells lack of tracking back leaving open to be picked off by wingers!?!

Agree1 Disagree1

I wish we would sign Boyd, sick of reading we are going to on here

Agree0 Disagree0

Short memories, again. Ian Harte, when he did play for us, had better crossing rate and accuracy than any other player in the Premier League. The player in second, by some way, was one David Beckham.
I'll happily concede that Harte couldn't stop a raindrop but he put in more and better crossses than anyone else. That's why O'Leary persisted with him.

Agree0 Disagree4

Harte was and is rubbish . even Beckham who was no speedster skinned him the day united won at elland rd . I know he scored that day but was awful

Agree1 Disagree0

Ian Harte was very highly rated throughout Europe, his lack of pace was the only thing stopping him going to an elite club. They called him the Irish Roberto Carlos for a reason, not just sarcastically.

Agree0 Disagree1

And to the poster saying harte had the best cossing rate that was 10 years ago pal theres far better out there now

Agree4 Disagree0

I said after the 2.2 draw with west ham last season that Gradel, who won countless free kicks around the area, would have benefitted from Harte and his free kicks. Hope it comes about but I doubt Gradel will come home
White teeth

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard Warnock is monitoring progress of young Ian Mee Aswel as hulls Koren! Boro also keen

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on Leeds boys you need more than that load of garbage. stop living in the past and buy some fresh players. not all your old boys who will it be next Danny mills ha ha

Agree1 Disagree0

I was Ian Harte's biggest critic at ER but the poster who said he was left exposed by Harry Kewell is talking a lot of sense - if he plays behind a winger who will track back and help out he might be worth a short-term deal if only for his dead-ball ability which seems to be an area that's passed us by recently.

Agree0 Disagree1

In response, the comment about crossing rate and accuracy was mine. At no point did I suggest Harte would be a good signing, merely pointed out what use he was to us once-upon-a-time. His ability to cross and strike a dead ball are still self-evident but I think we really need someone there who can actually defend. If we're going to spend a few quid, why not bring in Lee Wallace from Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

All good players, and all would improve us. The original poster knows their stuff well enough. Oh, and leave Hartey alone -served us better than most who've worn the white shirt (see my comment on post below). Chapel A

Ian Harte to sign in January he wants to make that left back place is own again,he admitted he wants to make it another promotion season.

Believable26 Unbelievable85

We dont want or need harte
we want young hungry players

Agree4 Disagree0

I definitely think LB is our weakest position atm, i'd swap him for pelts any day

Agree2 Disagree0

Hear batty is thinking of lacing up boots again. Come on guys start looking forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's far to slow we have to do better than him I'm afraid

Agree3 Disagree0

Not everybody in the team has to be quicker to 100 meters then bolt. I think harte would be a great signing! the amount of goals he created from set pieces and crosses for reading last season was unreal. I would welcome him!

Agree0 Disagree2

I'd happily take him, imagine how many more goals becchio could get with his head from Ian Harte set peices!

Agree0 Disagree1

Are they bringing him in so Ryan hall
Can get used 2skinning defenders in
Training sessions?

Agree1 Disagree0

He had the offer to come to us, and he chose Reading. so, NO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Harte was good at putting balls in the box in his day but come on lads that was 10 to 12 years ago, we have to look forward and bring in some hungry fresh blood.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hartey is a good lad -always liked him, unjustly maligned towards the end at Leeds (as was Gary Speed, I remember, but that's another story). I can take or leave him coming back now, but let's at least give some respect. For myself, I'd put Whitey in there, and say it's now or never, and I reckon the lad's got enough about him, and enough in the locker, to surprise one or two people. Chapel A

What Warnock said was:
A new striker is Warnock's priority, though his outlook could change depending on decisions made about the players in his squad who hold short-term contracts “ El-Hadji Diouf, Michael Tonge, Ryan Hall, Alan Tate and Jerome Thomas.

The 63-year-old Warnock has already been linked with a fresh approach for Leicester City's Jermaine Beckford and reports yesterday linked him with Max Gradel, United's player-of-the-year in 2010-11.

Agree0 Disagree0

DIOUF PACE?? maybe 7 years ago lad

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep thomas from wba dont want beckford back (grass greener etc) same for gradel if got thomas dont need him and sign diouf bloody quick b4 someone else does

Agree2 Disagree0

What is that last poster on about Thomas isnt a patch on max

Agree0 Disagree0

All good players, would take any of them that I could get. They would only improve us! Chapel A

According to some hack in the daily mail,GFH have missed a payment deadline.Sound's to me like a mistake by their lawyers, if you read the article it pretty much states that!(NEWS NOW)KEA

Believable9 Unbelievable53

Your inkling is likely to be correct, more promising news is that NW asked to 'draw up a list of targets'.

Hope one of them is Mad Max! Come home son.

Agree1 Disagree0

I saw that. It says the money is in
GFH's lawyers' client account. I bet it is - earning interest for a couple
of days before they transfer it!
