Big signing the weekend apparently. Either loan or permanent can't confirm but I can say its going to be chris eagles from Bolton

Believable17 Unbelievable111

Why the hell would they loan their best player to a championship rival team?

Agree5 Disagree0

Clearly never going to happen, he's happy at bolton and plays often

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it possible to just have sensible rumours on this site

Agree1 Disagree1

And not a mention of him being a former Man U player. my how we're all maturing

Believable12 Unbelievable85

Thought I read big signing in your post!

Agree0 Disagree1

Big signing? I'm stopping mi sen from doing cartwheels!
LUFC KEK

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see it. Cardiff toying with 3 million bid so don't think we can compete with that.

Agree1 Disagree0

If this is true I would welcome it with open arms, also would the OP come back on this site and ridicule me for being so sceptical.

Agree2 Disagree0

Read other day Cardiff are intrested in him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Would be surprised if Bolton loaned him to another championship club

Agree1 Disagree0

If we sign Chris Eagles I will eat my left arm and run down Briggate naked.

Lufc made contact with Alex Pearce 2 weeks ago and are discussing wages. Pearce is also in talks with Norwich and Fulham. Not sure how progressed the talks are.

Believable31 Unbelievable66

Unless he has a Warnock-Kenny 'bromance' with McDermott then I think he will choose higher wages and Premier League football unfortunately. Would love to see him sporting the Leeds United kit next season & partnering Lees/Mills

Agree1 Disagree0

We definitely do not top the pecking order with pearce. Our only card here is the Mcd factor, if they have good relationship then could pull. Pearce would need assurances and other statements of intent that the club is going forward because he is a prem cb.

my suggestion- sign kilgallon AND pearce, both FREE, sell J. Pearce, would bring couple hundred K, also sell/release drury because we have two guys rb peltier and byram. sell pearce/drury would fund the wages of two signings especially on frees. Pletier needs to stay because he can play rb/cb backup

Agree1 Disagree0

Would like to see Pearce at heart if the defence but I honestly think his wages and the opportunity to stay in the prem will scupper any deal we can offer

Agree1 Disagree0

Thing is, everyone saying he will go to a higher club if they don't offer anything then we stand as good a chance as any one else in this league on wages alone and like said previous the bmd factor

Agree1 Disagree0

"also sell/release drury because we have two guys rb peltier and byram. "

Do you actually go to games? Drury is a LEFT back and we only have one, Warnock.
And please don't say Aidy White, because he'll never make a left back.

Agree0 Disagree1

Do we still have Warnock at left-back?
Can't recall if it was a loan to be made permanent or what?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearce rejected 30k a week at Reading we'd never afford those wages

Leeds to make another signing tommorow. may be a surprise

Believable43 Unbelievable59

. or Noel Hunt

Agree2 Disagree1

Could be noel hunt but you don't know with Brian

RDLUFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a surprise if we actually PAID for someone!
PeteMOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Pete, we pay even if they are free, they get a bigger signing on fee and their Agents get a bigger cut, plus usualy "frees" can get bigger wages. I know what you meant mate, you want us to show a bit of intent by spending on a signature signing, but most clubs apart from the usual suspects are in the same boat and look for bargains in the lower leagues or so called freebies and loans. It's the way football has changed I'm afraid.

Agree1 Disagree1

That would be a surprise. a signing :o

Agree1 Disagree0

You beat me to it Pete

Matthew Upson and Anthony Stokes

Believable28 Unbelievable68

I have read and heard of our interest in Ed Upson and hope paper reports of Matty Upson are well wide of the mark

Agree1 Disagree0

Would prefer us to go for Ed Upson. {Ed013's Note - Thanks mate}

Agree1 Disagree0

STOKES! I certainly hope not. He carries way too much baggage for my liking.

Leeds almost have Jay Simpson deal over the line.

Chris Dawson going on loan to Bradford City

Believable52 Unbelievable51

I'm sure he'd get good experience at Bradford but I'd like to see him play more for the first team. I've not seen a great deal of him but what I've seen was very good, and for me I would say he was ready as Byram was when he got regular starts.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd agree, I'd like to see him in a Leeds shirt a bit more made a good impression when played

Heard a strong rumour from a source from within the club that Ryan Hall has been subject of a couple of bids from Premiership Clubs. Rumoured to be Everton, Hull and Sunderland. Never given a chance at Leeds, going to bite us in the arse big time!

Believable16 Unbelievable88

Ha Ha that made me laugh good one

Agree3 Disagree0

Can't see this myself. He hasn't played for us and before that he was playing with Southend! I hope he does get a chance with us, so at least we do find out whether or not he is any good.

Agree2 Disagree0

What has Hall done so far to attract Premiership interest?

Nowt. That's what.

May get a chance under McDermott and good luck to him if he does but no way Premiership clubs will be watching him.

Agree1 Disagree0

No one would bid for Ryan Hall above League One.

Agree0 Disagree1

He was given a fair chance and failed, so I find it hard 2 believe any prem club would want him. bad attitude and very very greedy

Agree0 Disagree3

Is it April the 1st? He is lge2 standard, God knows why we even bothered signing him.

Agree0 Disagree1

By looks of it, he, l be back playing in league 1 or 2 before long, another Warnock mistake.

Agree0 Disagree1

Wait just a second here u guys are way too harsh on the guy :
when we signed him he had just scored 14 goals and got 25 assists in league 1 easily the best mid in the league? so we signed him and people are saying its a mistake? ha ha
further to that he also had the highest amount as assists in the country, not bad
to put that into context during our spell in league 1 not one of our players managed that kind of record and guess what, 3 of them are now playing well in the premiership.

Agree1 Disagree0

Some of these daft rumours are beyond laughable

Leeds are close to a deal to sign Ed Upson for 400K having wtached him in both playoff semi finals.

Believable21 Unbelievable60

I live near yeovil and I was at Huish park for the 2nd leg against the up the road from Leeds.

He was instrumental. Also in the final which I was at.

Also my friend that knows lots of people at YTFC said were interested in Paddy Madden which I posted on a few weeks ago

StewboLUFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Would explain the Upson to Leeds rumours. Only the press have jumped to the wrong conclusion & got the wrong Upson.

Agree1 Disagree0

He's available on a free fella

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes heard this from another source as well, good player he ran the show in the S/F 2nd leg.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah m8 it was I that replied and said paddy madden was complete tosh at Carlisle which he was half decent hold up play at best. however Carlisle has a canny nack of bringing the worst out ppl!lol but the lad has gone on to score goals down there so fair play to lad came to Carlisle on good promise but did nowt to be fair. if it wasn't for me good lady I would of done mesen in a while back now lol :-P.

Agree0 Disagree0

Young, up and coming player on a free, would hope we, re intrested if so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be happy. Basically I'd be satisfied with the more relative unknowns from League One than the washed up former Premiership big names like Matthew Upson etc. When we were in League One it was those kind of players (Bradley Johnson, from Northampton, for example) who were pushing us up and developing as well-rounded players in the long-term. Warnock really did do his best to strangle that ethic to death during his tenure.

National rags linking us with Matthew upsin and Anthony stokes this morning. Stokes I'd have without a doubt but upson. Little on the old side.

Believable37 Unbelievable36

No chance for either, can't afford the wages and we've already a flash complement of strikers.

Agree1 Disagree1

Break bank to get doyle pure class fear he will pick celtic white shaydublin

Agree0 Disagree1

How many strikers are we going to have at the club? We have signed Smith, Hunt on his way, now Doyle or Stokes. It doesn't make sense unless McCormack and Morison are leaving

Agree1 Disagree0

Mccormack and smith will b our main strikers and the we have morrison and diouf so b 4 we buy another st we need to sell

Agree1 Disagree0

Wouldnt have stokes. Bad attitude, thinks he's a superstar and he's never done sweet F all. Anyone from dublin will tell you that.

Newspapers reporting this morning that we're lining up a bid for ANTHONY STOKES if the KEVIN DOYLE transfer packs up.

I can't make up my mind weather that would be a decent move? As GARY HOOPER has a 5m+ price tag? Celtic may want substantial money as STOKES record is pretty good!

StewboLUFC

Believable35 Unbelievable23

Won't happen unless we can sell Morrison.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally think it would be a bad move. have a lot of Celtic supporting friends up here in glasgow ad say he has a serious attitude problem. I mean we already have el hadji. do we need another one?

Agree1 Disagree1

He'd be on a free, just rejected a new contract

Agree1 Disagree0

Stokes has got 1more year left started a 4 year deal in 2010

Agree0 Disagree1

14 Jun 2013 00:54:19
@comment 3. don't think so, apparently he's contracted to 2014 and refused a contract extension.

Leeds manager Brian McDermott will target Celtic striker Anthony Stokes if he fails to snap up Kevin Doyle from Wolves - MORNING NEWSPAPER

Believable41 Unbelievable21

I would rather have Anthony Stokes he's younger and just better generally

Agree3 Disagree0

We already have a full complement of strikers, we won't be wasting money on another forward unless we sell Morrison.

Agree0 Disagree1

Id prefer Stokes as he is younger and his goal scoring record is pretty promising!

Agree1 Disagree0

Strikers scoring goals - who are you referring to at Elland Road? Morison - countless misses and McCormack - doesn't score and Somma - injured, couple of good goals does not make a proven goalscorer. Becchio gone and last proven goalscorer Beckford would be a fantastic signing. Beckford and Smith - could be some partnership!

Agree1 Disagree0

Stokes! :O hands down would put any of our strikers to shame. but he won't b coming our way without sum serious cash he's well liked up here in glasgow

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Jun 2013 07:40:19
Jermaine Beckford to return to leeds sometime in this transfer window for 500k (reliable source) but it could be soon as BMcD Wants to get transfers done soon

Believable23 Unbelievable77

Really really boring now. Why don't you throw Alan Smith in there for good measure.

Agree1 Disagree1

Absolute rubbish we couldn't pay his wages no one will pay anything for him he's on 40k until next year

Agree1 Disagree0

Can you put a new record on please.

Not this story again. I know it's a rumours site but please stop with the beckford sh*t he's not coming back get over it. MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Come on home Beckford!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't understand some of the rubbish comments above. Beckford proven goalscorer and if we are honest, he has been badly missed. Beckford - would love to see you back at ER!

Agree2 Disagree0

Would love to see him back, pretty much saved Huddersfield with some vital goals in the last few games of last season, if he really wants to come back here, his wages will have to be realistic, if not then elsewhere he will go, to a lesser club.

Agree1 Disagree0

Personally, I would love to see beckford back at ER - then we just need all the other players back that KB offloaded and we'd have a half decent team again! Looking back at the League 1 promotion team and its a travesty the rubbish we have now.

Agree1 Disagree0

Anyone who knows anything about football knows beckfords home is at elland road best man for the job ahead no danger

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford - see you at Leeds Bradford Airport - taxi waiting to take you straight to ER. Have missed your goals. Make sure you say goodbye to those leaving -Morison, Varney, Browne, Norris, Greene and others

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring back yeboah whilst your at it

Hameur Bouazza has signed for Leeds United. Deal to be made public tomorrow at 6pm. The former Watford, Blackpool and Fulham winger has failed to find his feet in recent years. But has a lot of potential and could flourish at Elland Road.

Believable6 Unbelievable71

Potential? He's 28 how much more potential can there be?

Agree0 Disagree0

Had potential by the bucket-load, never really found the required consistency. Undoubtedly talented but. meh
CityWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant just hat we need. a winger with no feet!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a BMD type of signing highly doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

You can always tell a fake rumour, when the poster tries to emulate a cheap red top journo when typing the rubbish out.

Berty

Agree0 Disagree0

If someone helps him put his boots on may be better, but if he can't find his feet will he know which direction to run

Hopefully not coming here.

So it looks like Leeds are closing in on more than the 1 'verbally agreed' (surely Noel Hunt) signing over the coming days, with McDermott hinting at up to 4 more to be joining, if things all go to plan, before the month is out. Wabara, Mills, Doyle, Mackay-Steven, Hunt 1 & 2 are names that have been thrown into the rumour mill recently, with some slightly more realistic than others: Though most fans would love to see the flair of Dundee United's young Scottish winger embrace Elland Road next season, the question mark over funding once again raises its ugly head. Gary Mackay-Steven seems to have caught the eye of a lot of English clubs during his spell at Tannadice, and now the winger seems keen on a move away, attracting the attention of several clubs who are set to battle for the youngsters signature. (What opportunity could GFH-C want more to show their ambition than this? [If a true rumour of course]).

Believable18 Unbelievable21

Hes not at the standards we need

Agree0 Disagree0

Er yes he is

@ comment 1. neither was Robert Snodgrass when he was signed from Livingston. If the rumour's true and BMcD wants him then he's good enough and it's then up to GFH to find the Shekels
