Warnock expects no signings this week great MOT. Jp {Ed013's Note - It wouldn't surprise me if GFH have given him the next 2 games to sort this mess out and therefore stopped any work in the transfer market. Ideal for Shaun Harvey, gives him a break as we all know he works so hard!!!}

Believable55 Unbelievable5

Ed I was jumping for joy at us getting warnock but he's lost the plot I don't usually want us to get rid of any manager but I think it's time to dump his bk to Cornwall ill even give him a lift bk as far as Devon MOT {Ed013's Note - The club need to be honest with the fans, if this is a 2-3 year plan then come out and say it. The performances this season are terrible and the manager is the one that picks the team so he needs to be held responsible}

GFH saying sweet FA

Agree1 Disagree0

Gfh best be honest with the fans or risk lower gates then we will be in trouble still i'm hopeful of a win tom night we all love leeds. jp

Guys GFH gone quiet, you would have thought they would have been very vocal and involved. Sounds to me as they are distancing themselves from what's happening at the moment. There obviously a few rumblings going on. Can't see them putting up with dire performances for too much longer. I think change is afoot. No one word of support for manager after weekend...ie we are gonna be bringing in some players etc etc. sounds all a but familiar. Me personally, we we lose tomorrow night and lose Saturday, warlock s history.

Agree1 Disagree0

GFH silent because Bates is still the chairman.
Why hire a dog and bark yourself?
Begs the question exactly what Bates's position is at the moment, though.
Surprising that with Bates still pretty much in charge, everyone's moaning about GFH.
The plan seems to be to let things limp on until the end of the season, then the new era can really begin.
Sucks for us fans in the interim but, I can understand (and even support) such logic.
The purge begins end of season, in my opinion, whatever Warnock manages to get out of this bunch of no-marks

On twitter wolves want beckford but he's desperate to return to leeds.
Would have him as he's got pace something we sadly lack and he knows the club

Believable38 Unbelievable29

Hes on loan at huddersfield for rest of season!

Agree1 Disagree0

What do Leeds want beckford back for. He has done nothing at Huddersfield and we should not forget he turned his back on Leeds. Stop going back and look ahead. There are better players out there than Beckford. He cannot play for another club as he has played for Leicester and Huddersfield already this season. Beets

Agree1 Disagree0

Turned his back on Leeds? Scored the goals that got us promoted the tried his luck in the premiership. Some very short memories people have. At least he'd play for the shirt.

Agree3 Disagree0

15 Jan 2013 07:02:32
His contract stop out soon so i would hope to see Leeds offer him a deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Turned his back ? if a player gets offered premiership football and wages they will go. Its a job for footballers mind so the more money the better of they will be.

jermaine penant on loan until end of season.

he was rubbish the first time, although the tag on his ankle may have put him off balance.

we won't pay his wages, get real

Warnock now saying saturdays performance was down to the players agents and can't wait for transfer window to shut this man has more faces than a town hall clock!!!!!!

Believable52 Unbelievable5

My god he was only saying the other week that he couldn't wait for the transfer window to open. What for so he can sign his beloved Tonge? If that's it then what a flop of a window.

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock's been waiting for the transfer window to open so he can sign all the players that are represented by the same agent as himself... presumably to supplement his pension (not that I am suggesting any underhand dealing here... how often does THAT happen?).
Agents have a tendancy to encourage good performances when their clients are in the shop window.
Managers in any industry who want to recruit (for whatever reason.. maybe because they have a financial incentive provided by the agencies), have a tendancy to force poor performance from their team to illustrate a point.
Maybe Warnock is blaming the agents for not offering Warnock his customary incentive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, yes i agree. he's a man that's at panic stations. he bit off abit more than he could chew with leeds. Were a nightmare club to manage, high expectations and no budget. i certainly wouldnt the job but Warnock did! Put up or shut up warnock, its crunch time.

Cisse told he can leave QPR this month. Worth a shot

Believable34 Unbelievable32

I was just about to post this as I think this would be a great signing tho we need wingers more as we are not getting a supply up front I also would like to see diouf play center mid and boss center of the park MOT.... Jp

Agree0 Disagree0

If we can't afford woods wages we certainly can't afford cisses.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse going to Greece, Panathinikos, in Greek paper today.

Tom Carroll is being chased by Warnock. He wants to bring him in on a season loan from Spurs. For me, he will be a fantastic signing. Comfortable on the ball and always looking to get on the ball.

Believable29 Unbelievable11

I'd rather have Tom Daley, would make a real splash and take some quality dives in the area!

Agree1 Disagree0

Well if you want a real splash and quality dives, it would have to be Tom Carroll, the former world champion surfer from down under.

Remy is signing for QPR and they have now rejected Haribou.. meaning we are prime to get him. Also heard Cisse is in talks with Leeds and QPR have allowed him to talk to clubs.
And finally, Gradel IS coming back to Leeds, I can garuntee you that much. I know nothing of the Faurlin rumours but I know that we will definitely sign those 3 before the End of the Month.
I have no idea as to how much Warnock has been given to spend, but it must be more than we could have imagined
JC MOT

Believable24 Unbelievable45

Erm cisse will break our wage structure and where will we find the money to sign gradel warlock said we couldn't afford the 1.2 mill for the lad Leicester signed

Agree1 Disagree0

Lol you said cisse was in talks with leeds then said all 3 will definitely sign lol how would you know that then lol clown

Agree0 Disagree0

It was wages we couldnt afford to compete with

Agree0 Disagree0

No Gradel is NOT coming back.. he has been picked for Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations squad... why would Warnock sign someone that he won't be able to use... He isn't that stupd. THINK about it.

Jay Tabb to sign for Leeds in next 48hrs

Believable30 Unbelievable28

I could believe that as he's been told he can leave by reading

Agree1 Disagree1

Would be good signing but think we need wingers and fast

Agree1 Disagree0

Im leeds until i die but i follow reading as my second club as i was born down there and I have been massively unimpressed with tabb, especially this season.... would not be my first choice signing and definitely not wat we need

Agree1 Disagree0

Unimpressed with him? according to most reading fans he's a good player and always works hard!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates has never picked up a Tabb in his life, don't expect him to start now, he is still the chairman, still has eyes in his head and everyone can see Tabb is rubbish!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't disagree with you about his work rate but you could say Michael brown has a great work rate but he's still sh!t... Tabb makes too many mistakes too many stray passes. And he doesn't add anything to us we can't get promoted playing 10 centre midfielders every week!

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't we had enough 'hard working' players who have done ok for their clubs. Look at what the Swansea fans said when we signed Bessone, and Norwich with Drury. The team doesn't need hard workers. It needs players who can create something

Peterborough chairman states that leeds have said they are not in a position to Perdue the signing of Boyd . What the hell does that mean

boyd was probably the player that warnock was talking about where the club wanted 1.5 million more than his value

Agree2 Disagree0

It means the relegation candidates value someone with less than 6 months on his contract left at far too much money. Let him walk away for nothing Posh!

Slingsby White

Agree0 Disagree0

We wasted oue £200,000 on Tongue the cupboard is now bear.

Agree0 Disagree0

It means that until they can borrow any money ( which they arevtryingbto do in the Gulf ) we have little money to compete in the transfer marker ! Fact ! Lufc KEK

Agree0 Disagree0

It means we got bought out by the only bankrupt bharaines in existance, fronted by a plastic leeds fan who is nothing more then a confidence trickster...

I'm reporting this lot to watchdog, getting Annie on them!

Agree1 Disagree0

According to my research, 'perdue' is an obsolete word which meant 'A soldier sent on an especially dangerous mission'.

Why the Peterborough chairman is using it is anyone's guess.

On to the rumours doing the rounds in the past week. A player much In the news, Bradford City striker Nakhi Wells has been linked with a move to Elland Road by various sources including the paper and a website. Wells as sprung to prominence with Bradford reaching the semi-final of the League Cup and he scored against Aston Villa in the first leg on Tuesday night.

Reports suggest that Leeds are ready to offer £1 million for the Bermudan international who signed a new three year deal at Bradford in September.

Young Wycombe Wanderers defender Charles Dunne was reported by the Buckinghamshire Advertiser as being linked with a move to Leeds.

The versatile 19-year-old can play anywhere across the back four and he has made 24 appearances this season for the Chairboys.

Most of the players this week, most Leeds fans who probably ask - Who? And the next one is no different.

Dagenham and Redbridge defender Femi Ilesanmi was reported by the Daily Star as being on the radar of Leeds United.

The 21-year-old has made close to 100 appearances for Dagenham since making his Football League debut in 2010, including 32 appearances this season.

Probably the most outrageous this week was the link with Rayo Vallecano striker Leo Baptistao. The Sun reported that Leeds amongst a number of Premier League clubs were ready to offer £5 million for the 20-year-old striker who has netted six times in eighteen appearances in this his first season in the first team.

The final player that I have seen linked with a move to Elland Road this week is Mouhamadou Habib Habibou.

The 6`4" striker is currently plying his trade in the Belgium league with SV Zulte Waregem and he has scored six times in thirteen appearances this season. a website suggest that Leeds along with Queens Park Rangers have given the player a trial recently and are both interested in signing the 25-year-old.

Believable21 Unbelievable7

Baptistao definite no, he's all but signed for Atletico Madrid, so can't see him coming to Leeds. Others could be on but not sure how much they'd improve.

We're have all the rumours gone? Has anybody posted this one yet? Warnock has been linked to a Spanish forward that plays for FC Horadada Jose Blancaro he played for the Spanish under 21 side 3years ago and was on the verge of signing for Levante in the Spanish primera div until he had a serious accident, however he is now fully recovered

Faurlin and Hoilett to sign this week. Faurlin for 1 million and Hoilett on loan for season.

Believable11 Unbelievable36

Can see faurlin but not hoilett class player but wouldn't drop down a league hpc

Agree0 Disagree1

Can see fsurlin but not hoilett would be great if TRUE h.p.c 4 life

If Harry pulls his finger out and gets his 3 signings then its possible but still not very realistic. i think warnock wants jamie mackie anyway.

Richard Naylor is a popular suggestion with fans for the next manager. This speculation could well become fact.
Watch this space.

Believable14 Unbelievable40

So lets get this right. We have been bought out for over 50 million and we bring in an ex player with NO managerial experience what's so ever !!
Yepppp good call buddy !!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah right, Richard Naylor. Average player, played in average teams (except us) with average managers. To take charge of the great Leeds? YOU ARE JOKING YEAH?

Agree0 Disagree0

Naylor and redders good calll

Agree1 Disagree0

God I hope not. Why on earth would we take an unproven coach and then make him our Manager. We need someone who can play decent football on the deck. And one who can build the club for the future, not just until his well publicised retirement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your having a laugh!!Who has he ever managed? Dont get me wrong I liked Richard 'psyco don't call me ginger' Naylor, top captain for us a few years back but manager????

Agree0 Disagree0

Ridiculous suggestion -no managerial experience whatsoever, and we've been down the ex-player route so many times before; it takes a bit more than passion and a feeling for the club to manage it successfully...Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

So popular ive never herd a single person talk of this fan or otherwise

Agree1 Disagree0

Totally believable its the cheap option. Nothing has changed under these new owners.

Agree0 Disagree0

By all means promote him to first team coach but with David O'Leary as his mentor and manager ... perhaps between them, they could even teach the defenders how to tackle without giving away penalties and free kicks in stupid areas.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said that myself, Warnock will get him trained up before handing over the reigns when he retires

Agree0 Disagree0

As all managers have to pass certain qualification in coaching richard naylor has no chance because he is working towards his coaching badges with the youth team

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you deluded? Why would we take an umproven manager on?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring grayson back!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the O'Leary as his mentor poster...
O'Leary failed because he wasn't George Graham.
He took the organised unit that George built and added strikers we didn't need.
O'Leary's most successful period was playing with Bridges almost as a lone striker and lots of running from a talented midfield.
It all started to go wrong when we brought in the likes of Robbie Keene (who rubbed his butt on the bench a lot) Robbie Fowler (who rubbed his hands with glee and... that's about it)... oh and 'our Seth' who got rubbed by the physio for years.

Premier league scouts, from top clubs not Norwich, still coming to games looking at Byram as he is seen as a very good player with a great future.

However he doesn't want to leave and is happy playing for Leeds, the other thing is that he has said that he won't do an Alan Smith and sign for any clubs in Manchester. If he had to choose he wants either Liverpool or Arsenal as they have a good record bringing youth players through the ranks.

To say again though, he doesn't want to leave and is happy at Leeds and wants to get to the premiership with them.

Source : have mutual friends and I spoke to him last week

Believable34 Unbelievable26

Very commendable that he doesn't want to leave Leeds, however, it won't be long before he realises that if he wants PL football, he'll HAVE to leave Leeds.

Agree1 Disagree0

But will your friend Sam still say that when he receives an attractive offer of 40k per week, a guaranteed right back berth in a top PL team traveling throughout Europe to places like the San Siro the Nou Camp etc. Be realistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i'm sure he has been saying he won't play for the manchester clubs, comletely blowing his own trumpet. He is not good enough for top EPL teams and never will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with first reply. Can GHF somehow be code for Ken Bates. Nothing has changed and it certainly doesn't look like changing. This pregnant pause in GHF communication with those that matter(supporters) is a typical Ken Bates tactic. Unless something is urgently tackled we are looking at the lower half of the championship at the seasons end. Certainly NOT top six and if NW thinks he's doing a good job then it's time to fly over the Cuckoos nest.

I think its time for a new change and want Warnock gone from Leeds why didn't he leave in the summer he's bringing Leeds through relegation not promotion

Agree0 Disagree0

As a friend of alan smith i thought i would just say he did not really want to go to man utd either but as the club (leeds) needed the money in cash and they were the only ones with that up front he had to go, its time al got a break he also gave his share to the club just over a million. if sam turns out to be as good on and off the field as al then he will be ok

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram will spoil his potential by staying here. we've seen how his form has dipped due to being over played. similar to what happened to Adam Clayton this time last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want him to go but If he were to leave would rather him go to a proper club like everton would do well there rather than the other clubs arsenal already have jenkinson and Liverpool already have Martin Kelly and wouldn't want him at spurs or Chelsea his talent would be wasted

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram has nothing to gain by leaving right now -he'll benefit much more by staying and gaining regular first-team experience. Just look at Delph, who is now a worse player than he was 4 years ago, having been in and out of the Villa team throughout that time (and not just due to injuries). Danny Rose is another one... Hopefully he'll stay and 18 months from now we'll be heading towards the Prem anyway. Chapel A
