In terminal 5 today in the BA lounge. Some geezer in a loud pin stripe is in there waiting for the short hop up to Manchester. Haven't a clue who he is but it becomes clear he is a football agent. About 50ish and unable to talk quietly. May well have been a complete bullsh*tter but looked too well clad to be a chav loudmouth and you only get in the domestic lounge if your flying frequently. Anyway he is talking about how his client is gagging for a chance to prove he has been misunderstood and would be a great acquisition for a northern club as he wants to come home. He either referred to him as Bents or Benj or something like that. I think it was Bentley from Spurs but it could just as well as been Benz and he was talking about about a motor. All this is irrelevant. What gaffes me off is this guy is talking like his 'client' is a stiff and there is no loyalty. How much how long and what is in it for me. To be honest I wanted to chin him but I suspect he used to be centre half as he resembled the proverbial outside brick carsey! TeeCee

Think his point was how bad agents are for the game and how they encourage disloyalty. Or I might just be guessing...

Will be announced at 9am tomorrow on SSN that a news conference is set for 3pm at Leeds United. Is this the news everyone is waiting for. Reliable information from a London barrister.

Thats odd as SSN dont wait to annouce to everybody that there is an anouncement , they just do it, they are the news and report it as it comes out. also wouldnt it Be LUFC that anounce a press conference to all the media ?? if your going to make things up at least do some research so it could be a little believable .

Why cant ppl say who their sources are and what they said. sick of seeing reliable source and i live next to warnocks cleaning lady etc etc {Ed013's Note - They don't have to mate its a rumours site where people can post freely without revealing their contacts. Unfortunately most make them up to get a reaction}

So there will be an announcement about an announcement. I reckon you're talking nonsense.

As a barrister for a chambers in park square Leeds I can state if you are revealing information like that without consent be careful because the you will be disbarred

Why would a London Barrister know anymore more than a milk man from London?

If it was only the barrister who told me about Seth Johnson contract it would be reliable.

Confusion continues today over the proposed take-over at Leeds United that has dominated the headlines across the summer. Last week, Leeds United announced that although talks were ongoing, the period of exclusivity granted to one consortium has expired.

Social networks immediately sprung to life to say the deal was off and it looked like a bleak period for the club with fans completely disengaged with the chairman, however over the last few days, more positive soundbites have been heard from trusted sources.

LUST, the Leeds United Supporters Trust have confirmed they too are hearing good news and it would seem that a deal is very close. Of course you add to that the rumours that Bates is in Leeds (the season does start on Saturday), a press conference was going to be called for 11am today (that time has passed), even a buy-back clause for Robert Snodgrass if the deal goes through (this one is too ridiculous!) and we are back to silly season.

Opening the club to offers from other interested parties does seem to have nudged things forward though and brought things to a head - and it seems that we will get some result by the end of this week - lets just hope it is the one we want.

read in a paper last week that west hams ricardo vaz te was unhappy at west ham as hes fallen further down the ranks after an impressive last season, you think he would fit in at leeds ed? {Ed013's Note - No}

Ya he would ed he's class . I can just see him now in the number 9 shirt. {Ed013's Note - Just my opinion mate, I didn't like what he did to the fans after the Barnsley game. Maybe I am just bitter, I would support him if he wore the white shirt}

No he's an a**e hole mate, i was sat right at the bottom of the stand near next to tunnel when we played barnsley new years eve, propper n*b winding us up

Vaz Te is unhappy, Amde Faye told me last week at the barbers in Bolton (dean cocozza's). He did say that Vaz Te would be leaving next summer. diouf uses the same barbers and when he met NW 6 weeks ago, it was for dinner. Diouf told me whilst having his hair trimmed.

Take - over done now, Mr. Bates will still unfortunately be involved with the club but at least we will not suffer as much from his bad decisions. Announced in a few days and press conference on Thursday. We'll be back where we belong!

I didn't know they had 'speaking' newspapers? I'd have thought you'd have read this?

'heard' in a newspaper, perhaps that tells you all about this person and this made up rumour. Can they inform us as to how they 'heard' it from a newspaper?

I wouldn't say its a better squad but would say its a more balanced squad . we are still missing a few players to really give us an edge but we are realistically a playoff contender at the moment

I agree we have a much better squad we only need another 3-4 players to guarantee promotion

If you wouldn't say the team is better then surely we will finish around about 14th again not play off area? I personally think the squad is much better and if we start off well could possibly even break the top 2 - and if Diouf manages to keep his head and break into the first team.

Definitely a better squad then last year, still need a pacey striker and a decent winger and jobs a good'un. don't think we'll ever have a worse squad then last year if im honest, one result sticks in my mind 7-3 against forest! never again

McCormack has been with the Scotland squad all week and they were NOT at any Tattoo.

Original poster here, McCormack was there and did say he is staying at ER and is signing a new contract, also said he is optimistic about the upcoming season.
He was with a group of males, who I don't believe to be footballers (one was a fat person) he wasn't sat in a VIP seat but was in 1 of the more expensive ones. And before people say he should of been training etc etc, the tattoo starts at 9pm and finishes at 1030 pm so hardly a dirty stop out.
I guess he hadn't had much chance to see it the past few years been in Leeds and Cardiff, good luck to the lad
