Just leaving the ground. Great game, could have gone either way we probably had slightly more chances. Great to have a coach who moves people around a bit. Interesting to see Hernandez and Saiz playing together and some really lovely touches together. Alioski, good game. We looked better in midfield, didn't lose control like we did against Preston in the first half. Shaunessy, had a good game again and made a couple of crucial interventions. Wood missed a couple of good opportunities. But three games no defeats and I think the boss is learning quickly. Thanks

New players Still bedding in Think we're a class above last years team and much more depth It's a marathon not a sprint Another CB and a LB would be nice but if not, I think this group will crack on

I could well be in the minority but i'm not unhappy with this so far. 5 points from 9 could be better but TC is still finding his feet and his best formation. We are unbeaten even though it's 4 points dropped. I would personally not be picking Hernandez, he can be brilliant but too inconsistent. I would put Anita in midfield for Phillips. 2 clean sheets on the trot is excellent despite the enforced changes in defense and while we are not playing particularly well every point is a positive. To get out of this division you need the 3 c's, consistency, consistency and consistency. Clean sheets is a good place to start.

I would love to get Ross back and keep Wood as well. The club is the most important not the past. If we can get Ross on form we would have a serious chance.

Something nobody had mentioned. if we do get £25+m then could some of the money be used for a move for Delph? Would he be a solid ball winning midfielder we need?

the club are still awaiting confirmation. the full extent isn't known yet. TC also said signing any more defenders depends on the Pennington verdict.

Ive done similar a few times in my more athletic days Martyn, the problem is that your ankle becomes a large purple cricket ball and they can't tell if you have sprained or torn it till the swelling goes down which can take a week or two. Expect a couple more weeks for a sprain or 8+ for a tear.

TC is a little over-cautious where injuries and fitness are concerned, based on his own experiences. He won't put a player in that isn't 100% fit. That could end up being his downfall

I don't see why people are expecting wood to stay. He should be on more dosh at leeds after last season although prob not going to over achieve this season. Once prem interest in a player arises its very unlikely he won't go. He will want to go and won't be focused. As shown against preston. I will be very surprised if he stays. The worry is getting an able replacement. Getting a good replacement will make diff of mid table 10-14 and 2-6.

I know this is looking backwards (a bit) And there's no rumour here, but what does everyone reckon to resigning Matt Smith? I don't see what wood offers that Smith doesn't in our current system. He was sold for buttons, was good when I saw him in a white shirt and genuinely rate him as a target man. No idea if he is available, just feel he may have unfinished business with us at elland road (If wood moves on) . Just a thought.

In a normal season I would expect Wood to get between 15 and 20 goals in the championship -depending on how many penalties he scores. Last season I think was exceptional and I don't see him doing it again although I hope he does. Let's see in May if he is still here.
