heard of rumours that becchio is of to Valencia
If he was good enough to play for valencia, he would be in the premiership by now at least
Whilst I think it is highly unlikely that he will be going to Valencia, why would not being in the Premier League make him not good enough?
Surely it is all about the quality of the player, not the league that they are playing in?
Surely by that reasoning, then if we had Messi, then Messi would no longer be the best player in the world, because if he was, he would be playing in the PL. This would be wrong, because even if he played for us, he'd still be Messi, so he'd still be the best player in the world.
It's not about what league he is in. Becchio is barely good enough to play for us, nevermind Valencia. He's a hard working player for us, but what does he do these days other than win the ball in the air, score the odd tap in and spend half the match on the ground. {Ed013's Note - I am afraid you have a different outlook on football to me. Each to their own, but in my opinion Becchio is a great player at this level and he may succeed at a higher one. He grafts for the team, wins a lot of headers, scores all types of goals and unlike most Argies he gets up from a strong challenge and gets on with the game. He does have weaknesses, but so does every player, he is one of our top players}
Hi, if this is true, then good luck to him. I have always thought he has been 100% for Leeds. He has been knocked a bit by some who may have forgotton his early season injury and fitness issues. He is flying again. Leads the line, takes the hits, and just gets on with it.
He Scored 20 goals last season, 17 the season before and 18 before that is consistancy for you, he is a great player and great for the mighty leeds, He was injured beginning of this season and didn't fit into the formation SG was playing when we had keogh on loan he wouldnt play Mccormack and becchio together ! since Warnok came along he has been great he will carry on scoring and add to his tally of 8 so far !
Don t think this is a legit rumour about Valencia.... But have to agree, Bechio lacks a yard of pace and maybe that first touch for the top level, but he s blud, sweat and tears for Leeds.. Personally I ve got a lot of time for him. Passion and commitment. Good player and he s done the business over 3 seasons, and not many last that long. Good on yer fella. {Ed020's Note - he's just an all round hard worker, and loyal to a club that brought him to england. i hope he finishes his career at leeds.}
"He's a hard working player for us, but what does he do these days other than win the ball in the air, score the odd tap in and spend half the match on the ground."
IMO that's more of a contribution to the team than almost every other player in the squad.
Becchio is a very common name in Argentina could be a different Becchio signing for them
Well said Ed, completely agree. What Becchio does for the team, no else could manage in our current squad.
I think becchio is leeds
look how he reacted when he returned after his opp and scored
look how he reacted to redfearn when he scored for him
and look how he reacted to warnock when we beat middlesborough
he is a leeds player
Text 3 is a fool
Most footie fans see a role in the team- some take one for the team. Becchio settles the play down from a clearance and brings the midfield in to the attack. You don't understand roles if you see a striker as someone who just scores goals
Make that 9 goals ! and i bet he gets 1 against forest !
Ok sorry i didnt make myself clear. i didnt mean hes not good enough for valencia because hes in the championship, I just meant valencia are 3rd in la liga and if they want anyone they will want world class players. not luciano becchio
Good!! can only hold ball up and tbh i think i could do his job!
