Doubt we will pay 4m for one player! Little overinflated price for someone untested in premier league if you ask me

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeah I also heard peterborough want at least 4 million

Agree0 Disagree1

I heard it here about a month ago actually.

Agree1 Disagree1

I heard it a month ago too and we couldn't afford him them either. QPR are after him

Agree1 Disagree1

GFH have no money, this transfer windows will consist of free rubbish players aged 27+ trust me!

Byram not going to go to man city now Mancini has gone

Believable63 Unbelievable25

He wasnt going anyway, just talk

Agree0 Disagree0

Bet he still goes.

Mr Happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Mancini had little influence over who they signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know why a PL club would want him now anyway. They would barely play him (come on Zabaleta or Byram?!) and would be a waste of money, unless its very long-term. Man City already made the mistake of buying Scott Sinclair, so why buy Byram? I doubt he would want to go to the PL at such an early age and ruin his career if it means not getting the valuable playing time he needs now.

Leeds Demon

Agree0 Disagree0

Man City state they want to start bringing through younger players (preferably from their own academy). But buying young talent works equally well. Mancini going, I believe, makes Man City's acquisition of Byram more, not less likely.
Mancini had some say in buying players but, not as much as some managers.
He won't go cheaply but he would definitely be cheaper than most recent Man City purchases. It's their new business plan. Doesn't matter who the manager is.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the bid comes in he will be gone. GFH need the money

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to opening poster. I am glad he's not going, we don't want to be giving our best players away

MacD after Nathan Thompson of swindon according to yep and guess what he's a rb hope byram doesn't leave can see him in an england shirt in 4 years worth double what he is now

Believable41 Unbelievable15

He could be coming in even if Byram stays, his contract runs out in June but Swindon have an option to extend for a further 12 months.

His transfer fee would be 500k.

If Byram stays would be a decent ride side with Byram RM and Thompson RB.

Agree0 Disagree0

We must keep byram it's that simple, if they have no money then sell off the dross like brown tonge kenny varney hall norris, others could go too like pelts, pearce, we must keep the quality players like byram, lees and build with them or we will never go up, because don't think for one min that if wer sell byram all the money with go back into the squad because it won't,

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't worry too much yet, Brian McDermott is looking at alternatives just in case Byram leaves. We can't bury our heads in the sand and hope it all goes away, the fact is we may get an offer to good to turn down, and we must be prepared to look at the best alternatives.

It's more of a "what if" rather than "he is". He is doing the smart thing now, and looking at all possible eventualities.

Agree0 Disagree0

If and its a big IF; it happens, Byram will move to right Midfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram is going to be pushed up to right mid makes sence to me very quick skillfull and the best crosser of the ball that we have I no he plays on the left but the same happened to bale started of as a left back

Agree0 Disagree0

If he stays, Byram is definitely heading up the pitch in the same way Bale did.
He'll be played a little further forward over the next few years until he's given a free role behind a centre forward.
That one massive IF, though.
