Leeds have been taking a closer look at Norwich's Simon Lappin. The Scotsman is currently on loan at Cardiff City. Neil Warnock is a big fan of the versatille player who has played a lot of his career at left back and on the left wing
Though he was still on loan at cardiff.

Leeds are leading the race to sign DJ Campbell in January. The striker was signed by Leeds manager, Neil Warnock for QPR however under recent managers the striker has been sent out on loan and frozen out of the first team squad. DJ Campbell has been told he can leave QPR in January.
So has Downing by Scouserpool.
Could be worth a knock

In reply to Beckford to Leeds. If u listen to Warnock after the game yesterday he said he wants some one to push Becchio. He has stopped talking about a striker with pace since we got Thomas (I know he's a winger ) But he has brought pace to the attack.No way can Beckford play up top on his own. I have been told the new striker will be one from Marlon king Chris Wood Or Craig m Smith .Imo we may end up with Marlon king as Chris wood is attracting interest from Leicester and wall, Don't think we can compete with leicester in cash terms.And I can not see Craig m smith been sold.

Chris Wood would be a great option but i cant imagine West Brom selling as he has great potential as a premier league striker

Marlon king you got to get real he would be worse than varney do i want beckford back not really fussed he would do a job for us tho but would need thomas to stay and probably sign gradel too because we would need both wings working ala snodgrass and gradel div 1

Spent last evening with a well known yorkshire business man and long time mate who has always been a keen leeds fan,he tells me that warnock wants a striker and that striker is beckford and the deal is done.He also said it will be the only permanent deal.

Yeah even though Warnock has publicly said that he is in talks over transfers for Tate Thomas and Tonge, and he has already extended Dioufs contract for 18months so thats a permanent signing.
Beckford is a done deal !
