word out there is its matty fryatt bm talking to tmrw? nickybee loan deal
Believable28
Unbelievable20
We should be getting on the case to bring Kenwyne Jones in from stoke on loan (as we can't buy anyone yet) - he is unhappy about something there according to SS news.
Though McDs comments earlier today about wanting time sound very much like "don't expect big signings" anytime soon as it's work in progress over 2 - 3 years.

Matty Fryatt set for talks with Brian McDermott in Hull tomorrow.
Brian called his representative and Steve Bruce Wednesday afternoon to discuss Fryatt's availability.

Pretty sure its one person going around saying Matt Fryatt is joining. What is the fuss about him?

At last some good news Bri Mac. is having a meeting tomorrow with Georgios Samaras ( Celtic) whose contract expires in the summer.

The same Matty fryat that Bryan Mac went to go watch and didn't like the look of? So stopped chasing him. I'm pretty sure if you don't like the look of a player you don't go back in for him. He was at the hull game watching him and after he said we won't e signing anyone from hull
Agree0
Disagree1
Samaras wot come to leeds when there's club's in the europa league and champ league after him, plus to be honest he struggles to hit a barn door he prefers to trip over his own legs. matt fryatt is useless he'd be decent in league 1.we need a big centre back and controlling midfielder and hitman up front, 3 names who I think would do a good job for us Grant Hanley (blackburn) Grant leadbitter (boro) and forwards either David Mcgoldrick (ipswich) or lewis grabban (bournemouth) come bmd get the board told what's need to be done
Agree0
Disagree1
If Samaras struggles to hit a barn door then he would surely fit in nicely at Leeds. Matty Fry up was a decent player 6 or 7 seasons ago but not so good now, so yeah get him signed too, to go with the rest of the Has Beens, more like " Never were Beens"

GFH blocked the transfer of Ashley Barnes because Sport Capital, the new owners want to install their own manager and give him funds to build a team
Believable15
Unbelievable57
Thats a lie because Sports Capital involves Haigh and Noruddin who were involved in bringing Brian Mc Dermott to Leeds and are happy with the progress he is making
Agree8
Disagree0
If only that were true.
Agree2
Disagree5
Utter utter nonense.
Why would GFH block the transfer due to Sport Capital wanting to give their new guy money to spend.
Sport Capital are currently funding the club and it was them that gave the the money for the Barnes signing. They support Brian and it was them that hired him.
Sport Capital is David Haigh and Co.
GFH are seemingly the ones holding up the takeover. See this evenings news on the website.

Happy with the progress he's making. What taking us down!

It's the league holding up the deal, why, who is chairman/chief executive of the league? One of Mr Bates former hires, who's pulling the strings at the league then?
Agree1
Disagree0
If that was case why did we get both stewart and kebe wouldn't same thing have applied to them?
Agree0

You are speculating. Where is your evidence for this? I think it is more likely that Brian will be given the opportunity to show he has what it takes. Chapel A

what we have is a stalemate . gfh won't buy anymore players because they are on the verge of selling the club . the consortium that's purchasing the club won't put anymore money in as they don't own the club yet . the money will be there when the deal goes through on 1/2/2014

he's one of the best strikers outside the prem (yes I know he's in the prem but hardly gets a game and been on loan at Wednesday and spent most his career outside)
Has 1 in 4 at hull this season and scored 4 in 9 at Wednesday
If we signed him it would show everyone our intent
Him and Mccormack would be lethal

Already posted about Fryatt he's the one he's meeting did well at Shef Wed proved his fitness perfect support for Rossy, Smith OK but needs time better off the bench. would love lefondra but we don't have the cash available until the takeover goes through plus he's too much like Ross.

Ever heard of budgets? We have other areas we need to add to and have already brought in 2 x wingers. McDermott said we had a list of 4 players - are you suggesting 3 are wingers? Codswallop.

We got rid of Hall so technically we were - 1. We need options as Kebe and Stewart might not cut it. We have Ariyibi so you might be right.

Matt Fryatt to join initially on loan until end of season now Hull have signed Jelavic and Long. Good record at this level and seen as the bustling centre forward needed to support Mcormack. Lefondra still on radar but thought full takeover won't go through in time to release that amount of funds (as per Barnes) so will go back in at the end of the season. CAS WHITE MOT

We've got McCormack, Smith, Varney, Diouf, Poleon and Hunt as strikers, so what Leeds should do is go for a new goalkeeper such as Jack Butland because with Jamie Ashdown injured we have to put up with Paddy Kenny who has made so many mistakes this season it has been unreal.

Paddy Kenny so many mistakes?
Not a fan of his but think he can hold his head up high.

We are waiting for FA approval for the takeover, and seeing as they hate us, it will probably happen on Jan 30th or Feb 1st as earlier poster stated.
Agree2

Yes but only McCormack can score 20+ goals a season bring in Fryatt or ALF or Chris Wood not getting a game at Leicester or maybe Zigic at B'ham MOT
Agree2
Disagree1
I don't know why we are trying to sign so many strikers, Ross has proven he can score goals and Smith will be much better now with reception from Steward and Kebe, what we need is a strong midfield, some players who can use the ball and keep it to give Ross & co a chance. Possibly a CB or two would be nice. MOT

Zigic on too much money for Leeds

Paddy kenny has been our saviour for many a points this seasons, so when you've seen or been to a leeds match son come back and post a decent comment
Agree1

If the funds were there then why was it blocked? Matt Fryatt will come for free until end of season, and to be honest i'd rather have him than Barnes proves striker with good return. Wages which will fit our pay structure. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out Hull sign 2 strikers on Thursday BMD is good friends with Bruce and he's meeting someone on Friday? Hmmm no crystal ball here but cum on?

Would love to see zigic at Leeds him and Smith upfront would be awesome.

Zigic and Smith upfront?!?
both like bamby on ice, what about ross?

Really can't believe anyone is suggesting Zigic. Yes, he scores against us, but in other games he's an absolute Donkey.

I believe with the guy who said Paddy Kenny is bad, because he is, shots that are straight at him, he parrys away just to look good and don't forget he constantly makes mistakes. But Fryatt would be good too.

16 Jan 2014 18:11:22
why would gfh want to spend anymore money?
they have agreed a price to sell a major stake in the club so any purchases between now and the sale would come out of gfh profit margin . as soon as the takeover is complete we will see changes in playing staff .

him and getting Mike Havenaar to commpliment Mccormack

Kebe is only on loan to end of season. could be called back anytime and with Palace in peril that could happen, therefore the poster could be right if its with a view to permanent.
Agree1
Disagree0
Palace don't have a re-call option.
Agree1
Disagree1
Of course they've got a recall option, he's their player, they can call him back whenever they like! Even if they don't though, there's no talk of it becoming permanent so if Miyaichi is available with view to permanent then surely he'd go for that would BMcD
Agree1
Disagree0
I always wonder with these loans, where do they stay? I mean Kebe must have a house in or around London, but he can't travel up to Leeds and back everday for training, so he must be in a hotel or staying with another player don't you think? Long time to do that to end of season, is he married? Who pays the hotel bills?
Agree1
Disagree1
If kebe plays like he did last Saturday they can take him back ill drive him there myself! Didn't seem intrested 1 but last Saturday not what we need! Loan players don't care about lufc we need permenant deals!
Agree1
Disagree0
Kebe state4d in his interview on the day he signed, that he already has a house (sorted the day before!) and both he and Mcdemott confirmed that if (and its a big if) Leeds gained promotion, we have an option to purchase, so it doesn't look like a recall clause to me.
