Tough to say who would be the right gaffer to take over from Warnock. I agree that Warnock has to go, but equally I agree that he was given little to no chance when he arrived at the club, and was no doubt messed about with lies and broken promises. Which makes me wonder who would be able to succeed at a club with such uncertainty behind the scenes?

Looking at the squad, what players would you take on for next season's promotion push? The obvious ones are Byram, Lees, Diouf and McCormack and I would also involve White (for his raw speed) and Ashdown (who's cup performances have been convincing). Other than that I say get rid! Not capable of carrying Leeds to the big time, and certainly not capable of performing in the Premier League! If I was a manager eyeing up the Leeds job, I would be asking myself these questions.

And lastly, I would love to see a manager at Leeds that has a BALL ON THE EFFIN FLOOR PHILOSOPHY! I am, as I'm sure all you guys are, fed up of craning my neck to see the ball lobbed up in the air. Adkins, Poyet, Di Canio and Di Matteo I feel can offer this, and at the end of the day it is a lot more effective than Warnock's hoof ball methods.

What do you say fellas, who would be the man to take our great club to where it belongs? MOT

Either of the Di's - Matteo or Canio for me - preference for Matteo for his experience of managing better, bigger ego players (slight worry Canios direct talking might put a few egos out of joint) but wouldn't mind either to be honest.

Aiden White has done sod all this year he is like Dracula with a cross, he might be quick but the lad just has not got what it takes, I don't know which games you have been watching but apart from one goal against Everton he been pretty crap. {Ed013's Note - The 4 games he played at LB prior to Warnock arriving he played well and was unlucky to be dropped}

Agree0 Disagree0

Aiden White is just not consistent enough at the moment the only place he does show some promise is left back, but really does not show enough anywhere else on the pitch, he is fast but because of that he is much to light weight his distribution is poor and his crossing is woeful, and if you watch him closely he looses his orientation and his awareness of where he needs to be sorry but I think Stephen Warnock will be a better bet for the near future, like Eddie Gray keeps saying Aiden White will never be a forwardly mobile player even with his pace he has to be behind the play not actively moving forward that's why we need a winger in front of him to move the ball forward with quality the would give Aiden less to worry about and he would be able to concentrate and develop into the left back he promises to be.

Our squad is a decent championship squad we have just been playing a poor style of play and missing 2 proper wingers and a creative midfielder which we have Dawson if he finally gets a chance. Austin as been poor since just before he got injured but he has played over a full season already. We basically just need to make a few minor adjustments to the squad. The thing is when and Warnock arrived we needed to bring in a few players to finish the squad.
Manager that could do a job but unlucky for us is unavailable which is Dougie freedman.
If we sign Nigel Adkins I think he will change our style of play and do a good job

Well spotted ED - however as David O'Leary lives at Sickilinghall nr Wetherby its feasible he might use the train in Leeds - but clearly not on this occasion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you hear about that guy who got a mangers job because he had 10 years experience on Football Manager (it was the top team in Azerbijan). Inthat case I should be manager, I will play the ball on the floor :).

In all seriousness Adkins would be decent but as people have said he needs money and won't get it. Di Matteo good too but from Champo League to Championship? I don't think it will flatter him.

I like the idea of Martinez to befair.

Di cnaio for the character but not proven at this level and was stabbed in the back at Swindon, he will be much worse off here

Agree0 Disagree0

I certainly agree next year could be the year. Would also say that Peltier would be worth keeping. Austin just needs to get used to the english game and I think he would be a real great player. Need to see more from Morison, started poorly.

Di canio has resigned as swindon manager, maybe he is in the running in the running for manager, who would you rather have ed, adkins or Di Canio?
young White {Ed013's Note - Neither}

Believable11 Unbelievable18

Atkins, a level headed guy

Agree0 Disagree0

You sure ed? {Ed013's Note - Until the future of the club is outlined it doesn't matter who is in charge, it would take a miracle to get Leeds up. Di Canio isn't proven at this level, albeit he is a motivator, but wasn't Warnock?! Atkins did well at Southampton, but needed money and Leeds may be too big for him. This is just my opinion and I understand Adkins is the favourite if Neil is to go and I would support him. The grass isn't always greener and be careful what you wish for, Alex Mcleish is after a job and was at the game, I am sure you wouldn't want him!!!}

Ed, who would you have then {Ed013's Note - Mike Bassett}

Agree2 Disagree1

That would be Alex 'Yosser' McLeish with his war cry 'Gizza job! Go on, gizzit! I can do that. '?

Oh good. Just what we need.

Not.

Di canio is the man I've been posting his name for a while now

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love Di Canio. The man is a legend.

Agree0 Disagree0

NW has a wealth of experience at this level. If he can't do it with resources that have been made available I doubt Di Canio or Adkins can. It is right that we change managers now because NW has stated his intentions and it's doubtful he can make his mark but if fans are looking for instant success, forget it

I'm not over bothered who we get as manager at the moment as long as they change our style of play for the better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes get Dicano inn for criest sake,, he has actually got a style ov football,, not just hit it upp field, his record speaks for his self, he's passionate bout what happens on the field,, for god sake get warnock out, leeds south

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think Mike Bassett would take the job, he doesn't know how to handle big time players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should go for Appleton, He must be due a new club now

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you know what? I'm with Ed. I think we will be too big for Adkins, and Di Canio is inexperienced, as well as having historically a wild and unpredictable personailty (not to mention some unsavoury links in his background). The man for the job is probably Poyet (though I would give very serious consideration to Lambert were he to be dismissed by Villa -reckon he just left Norwich a couple of years too early). Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Meant to say I would also give consideration to Martinez if he is ousted at Wigan before or at the end of the season. Would be preferable to Di Matteo in my book, as he has (bizarre as this may seem when comparing to the Champs League winner) a stronger career track record. Because the best of the upcoming managers whom we might realistically possibly get -Poyet, Lambert, Martinez- are all currently in work, I would not rush to kick NW out of the door -even if he barely deserves to be still in a job! End of season is better than the sort of rush job / compromise that left us with Warnock this time last year. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Patel has been meeting with past investors over the past few week to find out why not re-new'd investments etc (i know because a friend is MD of 1 such company)Patel said Warnock was given 10 game's (8 game's ago)to get Leeds into a play off position, if not he's gone. Patel also said David Haigh is nothing at GFH, but get this 'A white face. ' (sounds racist but I think he means somebody the fans would interact with?)anyway he also said they have 3 managers who they would be pursuing, he didn't say in any order but Adkins, Paul Lambert and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Andy Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Di Canio wouldn't last 3 games. He's a man of principles and left because he felt stabbed in the back.
Leeds is the last club he needs!
White teeth

Agree0 Disagree0

I simply cannot understand people wanting Di Canio, he has resigned from a club who if they win tonight go top. What sort of message does that send to his players and fans.

Either of the two Robertos for me Di Matteo or Martinez and after that Poyet. On the basis that Di Matteo is available, his team play excellent football and he has enjoyed success then its him for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Di canio is a racist no thanks

leeds trying to thrash out a deal with nigel adkins in the hope he can gel his own sqaud together for a push next season. by the end of wed afer blackpool warnock will be gone.

Believable25 Unbelievable34

Cannot see the point of sacking warnock b4 end of season. they might approach adkins, who is not stupid. he's seen two/three previous managers at leeds, trying to build a squad on a shoestring budget/loanees/bargain basement less than quality players/has beens. he'll see this as a reason to either turn down gfh or gfh will not accept his conditions. as long as whoever is in charge of lufc, and they do not invest wisely and for big money, lufc will remain in the championship, lower half or worse, back to league 1.

Agree1 Disagree1

I have said this before but surely NW has a clause in the contract so as big bucks have to be paid to him and I cannot see gfh paying up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont you think neil would have liked his own sqad for a push this season.
