Leeds to extend Andy Keogh's loan untill end of the season!

Believable81 Unbelievable5

They have the option to buy in january don't they?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah mate, we are buying him on a permenant in jan

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we dont buy him, i know he adds work-rate and team-work but he just isn't that good of a footballer

Agree0 Disagree0

Hewould be an excellant addition to the team, his workrate is none comparable, he's passionate about the club and he'll forever keepon running. he's a striker, but he's the striker that provides the necessary's for mccormack to take chances!! excellant signing if it happens!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Keough is a far better partner to McCormack than Becchio would be and realistically the question to be asked is who is the best partner for McCormack. Last night showed the folly of taking off 2 intelligent players when only 1-0 up and replacing them with a couple of willing, yet ultimately not good enough players just to keep them sweet.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say becchio isn't good enough? He was phenomenal last year... He excelled himself and just because of keogh's good form along with mccormacks goals doesn't mean that were keeping him sweet. It means Grayson is giving him chance to prove fitness and try tobuikd partnerships in the team. What if our current front 2 are injured or banned...what would you rather? Forssell and becchio or Billy paynter....

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope he does sign he's been outstanding since his arrival and not to mention im a keogh myself lol defo a reason to get his name (my name) on the back of the jersey!

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio not good enough? Behave! Even when he was playing second fiddle to Beckford he still bagged 15 a season

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we do buy him in jan, mccormacks really shone up front alongside keogh.

Agree0 Disagree0

If someone watched Becchio week in and week out then it would be obvious that as hard as he tries he is not a superstar. True, last season he was our top scorer but if you actually looked at how many he missed this would put it into perspective!

Agree0 Disagree0

Right becchios not very good.. all he can do is header and hold ball up.. he cant shoot or pass or cross very good.. keogh can do that way better than becchio.. grayson grayson sign him up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Keogh is a better all round player than Becchio, people asking who you play if they are both injured? Nunez & Becchio, Forsell and Becchio don't work together

Agree0 Disagree0

Beccio is a good player ' 20 goals last season ! So he's doing something right !!! He ain't fully fit it takes time the fans love him and he gets the crowed going !

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio can finish! 50 goals in 3 seasons proves that he can, if not then just watch his goal vs 'Boro last season and try and argue that he can't.

Keogh however can't . . He's a good player with good work rate, but finish he can not.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can u say Becchio cant shoot but Keogh can do it better ? Keogh never scores which as a striker is sh*t.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely as working striker , your job is also to chip in with a few goals ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Keough would be a good strike partner for any prolific goalscorer. his work rate and closing down defenders gives his strike partner the chance to take chances and get into good positions. Whether Luchiano or Ross up front will do with Keough alongside them. He may not score enough goals but Leeds fans love a player that works hard! thats why Snoddy got so much stick at the beginning of the season but even he is coming good now

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio cant shoot? who scored that screamer vs boro last season? becchio. theres pros and cons to the keogh becchio debate.... becchio gives u 20 goals a season... keogh does alot of dog work and maybe is slighty better with the ball at his feet. for me becchio and a fit ross mccormack would score 50 goals between them a season. ross n becchio have very rarely played together when both have been fully fit. i rate keogh but i prefer becchio.... because he has more goals in him... look at goals per minute this season... becchio barely played but still scored as many as keogh... goals win games, beckfords work rate was appauling 90% of the time but his goals got us promoted.... FACT ! goals win games... work rate doesnt always get rewards

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest with Ross on song it looks bleak for Luciano. Ross is banging them in for fun, which is what Becchio did last year for us. Andy on the other hand is a far more creative player than Becchio, so whilst there's still a place for Becchio in the squad, I can;t see him getting much game time while McCormack is in this form.

Agree0 Disagree0

Centre Forwards are employed to score goals. If your work rate is good and you know where the onion bag is then you a great player. Keogh not prolific enough as a striker therefore does not score enough goals. We need two centre forward who score. Becchio for me until we get to the premiership, then let him go to Leicester or Ipswich for 4m.

Agree0 Disagree0

At the start of the season most of you we're saying our squad is not strong enough, spend enough etc etc, here we rearguing if our best player from last season is going to get a game see the bigger picture boys and girls what a wonderful debate to have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Like this lads work rate, deserves his accolade. When introduced to the team he improved the team instantly.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he does stay, the amount of games the lads play means there is going to be alittle rotation to avoid burnout, with ross, keogh and becchio fighting for places it looks much better than having paynter coming off the bench. Somma coming back and forrsell waiting in the wings it looks good for us.

and for anyone claiming becchios not good enough just has to look at his 90th minute winner yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio didn't score the 90th minute winner. Given to o'dea after the match, which is right as it crossed the line

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that Grayson has a strikeforce that other Championship managers would give their right arm for. Keough and McCormack first choice with plenty of options to change. To have proven goalscorers such as Becchio, Forsell, Somma, Nunez and yes, even Paynter to come off the bench must put us in an enviable position. As for yesterday I personally think Becchio had a cheek milking the crowd for a goal that so obviously wasn't his (and yes, I was there).

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves want to sell so he wont be on loan till the end of the season but may be in a white shirt for the long term....keogh is a good player, works hard and reads the game well and granted he doesnt bag 25 goals a season but saturdays goal v peterboro shows he can hit them in and how many times has he hit the bar/post? would be great to have another youth product in our team

biristol city and huddersfield town keen to take alex bruce on loan till the end of the season

Believable48 Unbelievable11

He isn't deadwood, he is a talented defender but he has fallen out with Grayson so he'll never play again

Agree0 Disagree0

Huddersfield would be a good move for him. Loan with a permanent even better.

peterborough keen on Blly paynter on loan

Believable45 Unbelievable16

I live in P'Boro, this is just made up, no way would Posh want him or need him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson stated on OS not that he not gonna loan him to a championship rival. Lg1 for Barn Door Billy.

Leeds striker Billy Paynter is set to leave the club on loan and a host of Championship clubs are looking to sign him, skysports.com understands. Gj

Believable39 Unbelievable11

Good! Send him to Coventry - literally! Then give us Clingan in the January sales!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody is actually looking at him in the championship

Agree0 Disagree0

On the OS Grayson said he would not loan him to a championship rival. Back to League One for him. {Ed003's Note -Preston have asked for him on loan}

anyone think that billy paynter will signe for coventry city after tonights game, in a deal to bring sammy clingan to elland road in january, seems to be a rumour that wont go away...

Believable25 Unbelievable19

Be surprised if Coventry would let
clingan move probably the best player they
have releasing him could spell relegation

Agree0 Disagree0

Will be after tonight's game but not straight after. Will probably occur in January. We are so set if we get Clingan. Means a combative and passing midfield every game allowing for injuries and suspension provided we retain JH.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know why you'd be surprised. Every club wants some money for an outgoing Bosman transfer. His time at Coventry is up in June and I can guarantee you he will move away.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats what i was thinkin earlier today...could be a possibility

Agree0 Disagree0

I really dnt see what clingan wud bring to the party. We have far better, he didn't really prove anything to us last night.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hang on are u talking a straight swap or with money involved if that's the offer then grayson connot refuse

Agree0 Disagree0

Ps expect to see howson shipped out if clingan comes in dnt want to see it but this is bates he's not been wrong so far

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey guys i wrote the original post on here and at the time belived it could come off and would be a good deal for both sides come jan... obviously leeds would have to put a small amount of money in the deal aswel, but since hearing in the last few days that simon grayson has a reluctance to let billy go to another champ club, he wont be going to coventry on loan, unless something drasticly changes.. so thought it only fair to end my speculation, keep up the good posts guys marching on togetha
