McDermott's going to be a bizzy bee next week. fund's been given to him . and full backing of the bord room.got to give the man credit he's had it hard going through this take over. Mot

Believable62 Unbelievable35

I would love to believe that but . we are talking about our beloved LUFC!

Agree4 Disagree1

Think I've heard that before!

Agree2 Disagree0

According to David Haigh we are looking forward to a better week. Check his twitter message

Agree3 Disagree1

Would be nice to finally give Big Mac the backing he needs, we have a top manager but he needs help to build a better squad! We played well Saturday but are crying out for another forward to take pressure off Ross, go get Alf ASAP

Agree2 Disagree1

It won't help with ALF scoring a hat trick for Reading on Saturday
They'll want to keep him or add another million to his asking price
I can't see the new chiefs coughing up 2 million for one player, but who knows. we are LUFC

Agree2 Disagree0

ALF. Price gone through the roof.

Its got to be a better week we've no match and even we can't lose if we don't play?

Agree2 Disagree0

West Ham manager for leeds
?

Agree0 Disagree5

If were going to develop the squad then why the hell don't we buy quality in the first instance and work our way up without thinking that a boost of players will immediately resolve the problem. We seem to get a half baked mix and expect performance to match ambition the following week.

Agree1 Disagree0

Strongly agree, give the guy a break he really does want to do well at Leeds he deserves a chance, with time and support he will turn us around Saturday was a much better all round performance from the team, so come on guys and gals let's get behind him!

Agree4 Disagree0

No point in singing average players for the sake of it, if we sign Luke Moore than I give up. Just more mediocre players wasting wages, who won't be in the team next year. We'd be better off giving Walters or Stokes a chance.

Agree1 Disagree1

^^^^ are you for real walters! I would rather have my 70 year old grandad up front walters scores more own goals than correct goals lol but I agree that moore is poor, we need quality we are leeds

Agree0 Disagree1

I completely agree with the point about bringing in mediocre players. I would go as far as saying that none of Brian's signings have added anything really to the team -which I think his team selection on Saturday reflected. And the two wingers were essentially selected because they are new; they have done nothing so far to suggest they have much to offer us either. We keep making this same mistake -bringing in players for the sake of it, then waiting for their contracts to wind down to get them off the books. It's a vicious circle -madness! The cycle can only be broken by being more selective, and signing fewer players of a higher quality. And as Gary Mac's signings showed, that does not necessarily require money (Snoddy, Becchio, Johnson). Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you will find that Bradley Johnson signed for Leeds on the 8th January 2008. Wise was the manager at that time. Gary McAllister was not manager until 29th January.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sorry, well remembered -you're right, signing Johnson was one of Wise's last acts as manager. The point remains that quality doesn't have to cost money -it's about being a good judge of talent. And Gary Mac still did pretty well plucking Snoddy & Becchio from nowhere, didn't he? Chapel A

Strang feeling that west ham may have a look at diouf.

Believable44 Unbelievable30

Not that strange a feeling, it's been in the press for the last couple of days.

Agree3 Disagree0

Any thing to do with the fact it was on the internet during the week? Who needs a crystal ball eh?

Agree1 Disagree0

I sincerley hope so! Markymafia

Agree1 Disagree0

For the record its ex Manchester United striker Mame Birame Diouf they are after. Not El Hadji

Agree0 Disagree1

Never saw anything in press pal and by the look of last poster that's a different diouf anyway

Brian McDermott is looking to bolster the squad by signing former Swansea striker luke moore

Believable46 Unbelievable19

Very poor signing not a good strike rate, keep squad to end of season and play varney as played really well

Agree2 Disagree1

His goals per game average is poor so hope not

Agree2 Disagree0

Only 9th time this has been posted, does sound any better the more I read it.

Agree3 Disagree1

Hope this is not true he is no better than what we have. Moore is not Quality.

I've heard that Everton have made an enquiry about Ross, a figure of 4.5m has been thrown about. If we sell our top scorer we have no chance. MOT

Believable15 Unbelievable57

He will go Leeds won't turn that down

Agree1 Disagree1

I would doubt this to be true, but I've been wrong before. I think Ross is great for us, but he isn't good enough for Everton. They are going for CL football and could in a few years be challenging for top 3. 4.5million is quite a lot, so I would maybe tempted, as long as we had two players lined up as replacements ready to come in straight away e.g. ALF & another creative player.

Agree1 Disagree1

Would take 4.5 for a player that cannot score one on ones. Could sign a whole new young up and coming front line for that.

Agree2 Disagree1

Can't believe some people still talk about le fondre as a transfer target, do you really think reading will sell him especially after yesterday. Back to the point, is ross our best striker, yes by a mile, is he worth £4.5 million, no where near. Do agree though that next two signings need to be striker and central midfielder, as well as Austin and Brown played yesterday they're no where near mobile enough

Agree2 Disagree1

"Would take 4.5 for a player that cannot score one on ones. Could sign a whole new young up and coming front line for that"

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. Ask yourself one question. Let this sink in a minute. Where would we be without him? Now read your response again

Agree2 Disagree2

2nd poster here. Just a quick note to the 4th poster. I believe that I put e.g. This, in case you are unaware, means for example. I did not say we would get him, or would even go for him now. I said for example! I would be more than willing to listen to any people you would put forward to go with my other example of players we could attempt to sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could afford any of;

Ings from Burnley.
Vellios from Everton.
Moussa from Coventry
LeFondre from Reading

All good young attacking players. Ross couldn't get a game under Grayson. 4.5 is great value for a player not good enough for Scotland.

Agree2 Disagree1

After Beckford I doubt that Everton would go for a Championship striker

Agree1 Disagree1

To the guy saying ross could not get a game under grayson, Maybe if he did Grayson would still be at Leeds.

Great player for us but, just like Becchio, not a Premier League player.

Agree1 Disagree1

Stupid keep bringing up alf rumour we aren't getting him 1 million percent why would they let go of there top goal scorer who got hatrick yesterday. Sooner people realise we don't attract good players anymore the better. let's be more realistic eh?

Agree1 Disagree1

Carl I said e.g. Alf, not him specifically.by the way 1 million per cent, really?

Agree1 Disagree0

Everton are signing a forward from Monaco that West Ham were chasing so doubt very much hey would what Ross too, though Matinez did get linked with him when at Wigan
