Heard on the radio today that Villa are paying 40 grand a week to get players Wow no wonder we can't compete with that. Good job we're not famous anymore

Heard that as well Trev, couldn't believe it. Villa must have Risdale as a negotiation skills adviser and the player must have Seth Johnson's agent. Or they must be panicking as they are languishing in mid table, thought sh*t we best spend use those parachute payments before we go down to league 1 and 'do a Leeds. '

I wouldn't be so sure about that. If they got on a roll under Steve Bruce then it could be a potential play off game. I don't see Reading or Huddersfield lasting the pace. But if we play like we did against Derby for the rest of the season we'll be champions, this I have no doubts about.

Lol he would destroy this league, even at his age he's far too good for this league, I'd expect he would be on a lot of wages too, but if we did get him it would definitely be the best striker we have been linked to.

He actually said he's had offers but none from Leeds or Wolves. Honestly at first I was like "no way, no thanks". But then I thought, imagine Hernandez slipping a ball through to a Keane off the bench for last 15 minutes in a tight game. His movement and finishing alone would make a short term deal worth it. He wouldn't start, and nor should he, but his experience and like a say movement and finishing at championship level could be crucial. I mean look at Glenn Murray for example.

Monk interested in James Meredith from (and i hope this gets through the profanity filter) Bradford City. Legft back is a possible replacement for Charlie Taylor who is rumoured to be on his way to Norwich of all places. Meredith is 28, Australian and in good form for Bradford.

If Taylor leaves it will be to a premiership team, he's without doubt ready to be in the premier league.

If Taylor leaves I'd much rather see what's lurking in our academy than go for this option. Place is a gold mine at present, may aswell take advantage.
