Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

19 Jul 2012 21:47:50
Alright lads, my posting on here because it's the first time i've had some info!

Rumours going around the other night that Warnock was in Nottingham, my friend, a Notts County fan rang me and told me that Neil Warnock was in the same restauraunt as him, with Notts County defender Krystian Pearce and he said presumably his agent. He was too far away to hear the conversation but said he was 100% sure it was Pearce and Warnock.

Pearce and Pearce at the bach ey!

Believable10 Unbelievable16

Do your research mate. Sean o Driscoll is the new forest manager

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know whether this player is any good or whether there is any truth in this rumour, however Neil W's former right hand man (Keith Curle) is in charge at Notts C so I can see that relations between the two clubs will be much closer. With that in mind I could see that KC would recommend NW and LUFC to any of his players should we come knock on their door.

I can easily see a few of our younger players going to Notts C on loan this season, who knows even Billy P may end up there as well - they wanted him last season, now there's a thought...a swap Pearce for Paynter...

I note many Derby fans are convinced Pearce is heading to them.

Frisky1

Agree0 Disagree0

What if he was, he won't be the next Forest manager will he as they have just appointed Sean O'Driscoll ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Where in this post did he say NW was going to be the new manger?? He was talking about buying a player. People are really quick to have a dig. Most likely the same people who post rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he mentioned Forest so where did you get it from that he is saying Warnock was in Nottingham for the Forest job?

Agree0 Disagree0

The original post never said anything about warnock being Forests next manager, he only stated he was in a restaurant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do we have any younger players? Brown, Gray, Kenny, O'Brien, Drury, Bromby, Rachubka, Kisnorbo. Lets send them to Notts County

Agree0 Disagree0

If you guys actually read the post, it doesn't say warnock was there for the forrest job, it says he was there possibly talking to a defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont understand what some muppets are thinking - the original poster says NOTHING about warnock becoming forest manager yet 2 replys go on about it - baffling

Agree0 Disagree0

He Said they were looking at a player from county not looking at warnock for the job at forest

Agree0 Disagree0

To first and third replys. Where does the poster suggest anything about NW becoming forest manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

Are the two people who said he wont be the next forest manager stupid..
he never said he's gonna be the forest manager, never mentioned forest once.. he said we're after a notts county defender.
jesus, read the post before you start typing you clowns !

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are all you lot saying about o'driscoll being forest manager. This is about a county playing being linked with warnock and Leeds.

I see Chelsea are over in the USA, must mean they are looking at signing Becchio. Pointless, just as logical as you lot thinking that this has anything to do with forest and Neil

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish some people would read a post properly before responding. The guy made no reference to Nottingham forest or a managerial role. Notts county is a club in Nottingham too!!

White teeth

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know anything about nw being in notts but Pearce is a cracking young tallent, was very highly thought of at Birmingham befor he left a solid fast defender who isn't scared from all accounts. Hope this is true as he would be a welcome addition in my books

Agree0 Disagree0

NW used to manage Notts County, so he may still have some contacts there. AB

Agree0 Disagree0

O' Driscoll is the new forest manager so hardly true.

Kilgallen hasn't had a good season since he left us..... IMO he's not good enough or fit enough to last a hard season in the championship......

Aidy White offered £15k p/w at Celtic and £12k p/w at Derby. He wants to stay at Leeds and is willing to sign a new contract on £8.5k p/w - a figure not yet offered by Leeds.

Despite not yet offering White the contract he wants, the club have told him not to make any decision until the weekend - which may indicate something is finally going to happen tomorrow in terms of the takeover and a contract will then be agreed.

Believable17 Unbelievable10

Interesting....the only person who could post this with authenticity is AW's dad, (aka his agent). Cheers for the heads up pop!

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know this info? I doubt aidy would agree to 8.5k to stay when you say celtic are offering 15k, sounds like nonsense to me. {Ed013's Note - From what I understand Aidy was on 2k a week and Leeds didn't offer much more}

Agree0 Disagree0

I like how other clubs are offering him wages that high for a player of his calibre. they obviously havnt seen him play much. 8.5k a week for him is generous.

Agree0 Disagree0

My housemate works at BBC Radio. This is what they have heard today. White is desperate to stay at Leeds, just wants an offer that is a little closer to what other clubs have offered him. Personally, I don't think he's worth all the fuss, it just bodes well that he's being told to wait until the weekend before making a decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

Those purported salaries would put White st the top end of the salary structure for both Celtic and Derby, something that would be very doubtful.
Understood he was being offered double his current salary - for a player of his age and experience £4-5k is about right

Agree0 Disagree0

People saying he's s***e obviously didn't see his best games at LB, He performed better than any LB at Leeds since Mickey Gray was here, not bad in an awful defence, Yeah he went to s***e after that but so did then whole team, He's got alot of potential IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

As per my post weeks ago
AW agreed a deal verbally with the club. When his written offer came in it was 300k p/a below what they agreed. Should they offer what they agreed he will happily sign.
FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Sayin he performed better than any left back since Micky Gray doesnt really say much seen as we've had players like Bessone, Capaldi & Parker at left back!!!
White is an average left back at the mo but with his age, has potential to improve but I wouldnt give him 8.5 grand either!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I work for a house builder at chevin park menston where aiden white bought an apartment. Saw him pull up in his mercedes and stopped him for a word. He desperatly wants to stay at leeds just not quite offered what he wants. He confirmed he has been offered more money else where but hopeful a deal can be struck. Personally how he was talking and his body language suggests he dint hold out too much hope

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was that bad why was the best team in the SPL after him ?

ross mccormack is set to be in talks with notingham forest i see him today and asked about his future.

Believable6 Unbelievable23

Ross McCormack must be everywhere cause everyone seems to be seeing him somewhere and asking him about his future... hmmmmmmm ..... really?

Agree0 Disagree0

And who are you ,considering you are the only person in the know, even more than warnock, what bs

Agree0 Disagree0

Until a bid has been accepted he cannot talk to anyone otherwise he would be in breach of contract and Leeds could sue whoever was talking to him. Total BS.
However if he doesn't want to play for Leeds we should get rid - especially if the bid is over £2m

Agree0 Disagree0

This aint john fitz leeds 15 again is it he's already seen mcCormack on tuesday!!!!

Forest are you having a laugh, they could only just find a manager, let alone a half decent striker. Plus theres no room because the Kuwaity national team is trying out.

middlesbrough and derby favourites to sign White. Quit moaning am I the only one who thinks hes utter garbage hes never done anything other than run around like a headless chicken then put a terrible delivery. Let him
go {Ed013's Note - I think he has potential}

Believable19 Unbelievable11

I wouldn't be so harsh on him. But I have to say he has a few issues, that being he can't tackle, defend and his positioning is appalling. Warnock noticed and tried to play him in Midfield on the wing, where he then struggled to pass, cross or shoot. He's a utility player. He really needed a pre season under Warnock and his staff to mould him and help him along, unfortunately he chose money over his career, I fear that this boy will end up hanging around League 1 or 2 for the next decade.

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one hope he stays. He is young and has potential. I think Warnock will be good for him and his devlopement

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with Ed -he has terrific potential. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock seen his potential he is young and under the right manager he could become a great player, i would like to see a lot more young players coming through, its all down to the coaching
rj- mot

Agree0 Disagree0

People only say he's s*** because he might leave, if he had a 3 year contract he would be the next best thing.

He can improve on his tackling and his dribbling skills what you can't teach a player is pace and White has so much.

White isn't even that bad at tackling and his work rate is good, he doesn't deserve the comments he's getting just because he might leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed013, White does have potential. But you don't give potential 15k a week when all he has is pace. {Ed013's Note - Agreed}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think thats a bit harsh but his pace is his his main selling point but if he improves his
skills he could be the new ashley cole.

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel he is too gung hoo! and i think there are far better full backs out there that reallly should be within our price range,i would get rid!! markymafia

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree he has potential. id rather get the 1.5m compensation for him now though and buy a quality winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

I first thought he had pertential butnow i feel his legs work faster then his brain. Maybe under the wing of Warnock, he could show some promise. I do feel though, Charlie Taylor will be twice the player he is. Now he's got some real know how.

Mot

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Pearce - young top notch

Lees (new contract) - young up and coming defender

Be quiet

Agree0 Disagree0

No we need a squad and we need experience I'm pleased he's signed, I thought he played well once warnock came and I think hell b a key squad member next year

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure it got mentioned when the deal first got offered that his terms would be greatly reduced. Would think he is staying as backup at best, possibly while he takes his coaching/managerial badges with a view to moving over to that side of things for us next term.
Just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need young and old together
help the young ones on
rj

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea we should sign jason pearce to go alongside lees. oh wait their well old now.
BrayzerWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to remember that we need a SQUAD not just first team. A successful squad in any sport will always have a mixture of youth and experience. Brown played very well when Warnock came and used him properly, hence he will be very usefull to have around as backup and for his experience. Also, he's a bit of a character ask Martin Keown :0)!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown was by far our best midfielder for the second half last season! who cares about age!

Agree0 Disagree0

We have signed Pearce, everyone else has been old

Agree0 Disagree0

I am so fed up of hearing all this old has been rubbish. Brown was far better than Clayton in the second half of last season yet you moan he has left and moan Brown has signed? Drury and Green are far from has beens both good players in the championship (and Drury and Kenny weren't exactly bad at premiership level either). Just wish all you moaning fans would stop being so negative and get behind the team. I for one am very pleased about the warnock has dealt with transfers. Now lets get behind our team all season and we might get somewhere.

Hull spend 2.5 million on a striker!
Were picking up players for 200-300k
Somethings not right there.

Believable22 Unbelievable8

A classic case of putting all your eggs in 1 basket

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree,, its abit strange, but it could be cause bates doesnt wont to put money in the club cause he's selling it, and dat he's mean,,

Agree0 Disagree0

2.6 million for a 17 goal striker from the german 2nd division? that's what's not right! You'd be moaning if we spunked all our cash on that. The peltier bid is 600k, kenny cost 500k, as did pearce so shut up please :)

Wouldn't be like Steve Bruce to throw money about on rubbish. We can just sit back and laugh then in blows up in their face, ie. Leicester.

Beckford - 50k

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester??? how mutch ???its not about the price tag
RJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said it before and I'll say it again (I think NW has done it too) We don't need to act like Leicester to get promoted, it don't work, even they are selling off there big buys and buying wisely ffs!

If we are to go by your way, ross - 300K sh*t Buy, Snoddy 300K - s*** buy, beckford - 150K (I think) - s*** buy! Yeah well done!

Mark14

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we dont need to be like Leicester, but signing old players on freebies is not going to get us promoted, Yes we need some experience, but there is experience and there is players taking a last pay day. Are we selling White and replacing him with Gray, that is wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

It's because we are waiting for the overseas investment which has been happening tomorrow for the last month. Statement needed from the club now

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen to the talk sport interview - NW said it does not matter how much you spend, it's the players you buy that counts.

In Warnock we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to remember we are replacing just about a whole team & not a couple of players like Hull - our outlay may well top 2.6 million

Believable7 Unbelievable32

Funny considering he was playing for chelsea in their pre season

Agree0 Disagree0

Well you clearly didn't since he was playing for Chelsea in Seattle. Why make up stupid rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

Find this hard to believe as he scored two goals for Chelsea against Seattle last night, in Seattle!

Agree0 Disagree0

What a complete knucklehead why make stupid rumours up

Agree0 Disagree0

Spoke to Jesus outside a nandos last night said he could be the answer to our right back problems but had to check with his dad if he is able to play (was going to go for the goalkeeper position and do the old joke on no good at crosses but thought silly as we have kenny)

Agree0 Disagree0

He's going on loan to werder Bremen as part of the marko marin deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Just seen (add name) + place + does/doesn't figure in so & so's plans = john fitz.

Come on Ed, this lads killin me! Was a laugh at first but it's just annoying now. AB {Ed013's Note - Its not John}

Agree0 Disagree0

If he does figure in De Matteo's plans, why's he looking for a new club?
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair i saw this guy bump into John Fitz15 at the same time as he bumped into Lukaku so this might just be true as we all know John Fitz bumps it to professional footballers everyday of his life

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats funny hes in seattle u blagger

Agree0 Disagree0

And if he is looking for a new club which i doubt, why the hell would a player of his standard be looking at leeds? what i think is he had been in leeds to hold talks with farsley celtic regarding a transfer for a book of green shield stamps and an half eaten humbug ya putts!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny hes just scored for chelsea in america telling porkies again

Agree0 Disagree0

I am in Seattle and I saw John Fitz at the Columbia Center so there is no way he saw the Chelsea player in Leeds

Leeds look set to sign Jermaine Beckford for a fee of around 1.5m and and Raheem Stirling on a loan deal

Believable22 Unbelievable26

This would be great news - Beckford has been badly missed at ER!

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I wouldnt want him back, controversial I know but he couldnt cut it at Everton or Leicester and he is one of the laziest players ever to wear the white shirt in my opinion. Certainly not worth 1.5 million!

KTJ - Abu Dhabi

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, he could be lazy at times, but he's the best finisher we've had in recent years and I for one would love to see him return to Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

For the amount of starts to the amount of goals he got at everton id say he did cut it in the premiership... id love him back at leeds
George LS13

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree hes a lazy git who needs too many chances to score BUT 30 goals a season not to be sniffed at

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree,he would be a bad signing for me,like an old girlfriend, you never go back,we should move forward and look at far better strikers for this kind of money!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think this talk is a load of sthi , he done crap after leaving us , where he could of become a name to remember , however , a footballers life is a short one , so if the money is there , ?? if his desire to come back and play , wld have him tomorror , yea sometimes need a few chances before one goes in ,but build the right team and service , THEY WILL GO IN , MOT !!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some harsh punters out there. What does it take to please some people. Beckford was an absolute legend here, and can be again -have faith, pessimists! Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Legend in League 1, but for Leicester his strike rate is less than McCormack(3.08) and Becchio (2.78) Beckford's strike rate in the Championship is 4.88

Maybe it is connected to the takeover - or maybe she's setting up as an optician?

Agree0 Disagree0

I've just read the PDF document on Andrew Haigh's twitter account. He retrieved it from companies house today, and it refers to yesterday, when a new Leeds Utd company were registered, he seems to think its related to Yvonne Allen, Leeds Utd Director who's registered the shares in her husbands name?? Hmmm what's she up to. Perhaps buy some new shares and watch them rocket when the new owners come in

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates is bleeding the company dry ! no take over , getting ready to go into administration again. why set up a new company ? if you sell you sell your company as is

Agree0 Disagree0

That last post about buying a company 'as is' is complete nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think it has anything to do with the takeover, rather lutv. Leeds United VISION, as in what can be seen. The name says it all I think. MaltaWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

I am fairly sure that the registering of a new company and possibly moving shares and registering them to a company address is to avoid capital gains tax if they are gifted to a husband or wife (only ) you dont have to pay 28% capital gains tax. Pretty sure it is classed as tax avoidance which is not illegal but tax evasion is (there is a differance). But to be perfectly honest not 100% sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

I live about a mile from that street so should i do a stakeout :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

To last post there, of course LUTV has something to do with the takeover, it's a media outlet dedicated to Leeds United, imagine the revenue stream if Leeds got promoted and launched the Chanel on Sky for example, so it is an important piece of the deal to takeover Leeds. I just worry that it's Bates trying to use an employees family member to hide some dodgy shares so he can make some money after the fact

Agree0 Disagree0

It is not a new company

Agree0 Disagree0

Just maybe Aidey is beginning to realise where he's well off? I'm glad he came back to train with us, and glad we allowed him to do so, hopefully he will see the future would be better where he is.....

Agree0 Disagree0

You leeds fans dissing derby ought to consider a few facts.
whilst i believe you have the biggest potential of all clubs in the championship , in reality derby had the highest avaerage attendance ( last year ) of all the clubs currently in this league. there are quite a few clubs in the c/ship with premier league potential and we are both at the top end of that group. so whether we sign white or not , be objective about my club - i am about yours
we both would be better off with local owners that care and can invest in us

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster about offering him to derby. 1 Neil warnock has made it clear he wants to keep him. 2 he has the right to go wherever he likes he's not contracted so Leeds can't offer him to anyone now as he can easily say no.
And why does everyone keep saying he's useless. You're forgetting he is 20 and has loads of clubs looking at him and warnock sees him as good so he has a much better footballing brain than most that post on here

Agree0 Disagree0

I think what he was saying it would be a backward step. me i think there is alot better out there than aidy he is not going to be a premiership player so as for him going to derby i think cash in let nigal have him
to be honest i dont think n.w wants him
he never pulled tree routs up at leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense -a great prospect, and a definite Premier League regular within a couple of years. What is it with people feeling they have to diss any player who dares even thinking about leaving our great club? Sour grapes or what! Beckford, Delph and Howson didn't suddenly become 'rubbish' the moment they left our club; and nor will Aidy (or Snoddy, if he goes). Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, white can leave in my opinion, there are better players out there who can get us back to the prem. Derby had a higher average attendance than us last season... so? green left for a BIG club, your just a small club in nottingham!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would want him to stay but I preferred us playing a more attacking role than in defence, definite potential there regardless of what people say (He's only 20). Believable14 Unbelievable3

His dad is his agent, which makes his alleged lack of loyalty even worse

Agree0 Disagree0

BS if he was to go there it'd be purely to play first team football there offer wouldn't be much more than ours and the sign on fee not much because they'll have to pay a transfer fee for him, Get your facts straight mate before you go around labeling players as money grabbers and what not

Agree0 Disagree0

Touched a nerve.....clearly! Ok tell me how can a Leeds born and bred lad/player be interested in going to Derby purely for footballing reasons, they are no bigger than Leeds, they maybe more stable (currently) but Leeds are going through what many are led to believe as a takeover so therefore a brighter future would lie at Leeds, so again what benefits would Aidy have in going to Derby? Except the possibly a larger wage! For the record I know a couple of footballers down my way so I know full well what they are like! MOT SussexLeeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course its about MONEY, jack to do with 1st team football. If he stayed he would be challenging for 1st team football. Instead is the lure of £'s and mediocrity ! DONT NEED HIM - TA TA.. Rob MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

If aidy had any ambition he'd stay with us, I personally can't see him leaving for derby county, that would be a massive step backwards in his career! On the other hand if we got 500,000 for him that's probably 400,000 more than he's worth. Ffs someone please take him

Derby trying to sign White!
Why would you leave Leeds For Derby??
Come on Colin offer him a bit more to stay!!
Aidy think what your doing mate!!

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Its not Warnocks fault its the numpties above him who wont pay him what he and warnock feels he's worth

Agree0 Disagree0

If he would rather play for derby then hes not the sort of player i would want anyway, homegrown but greedy. Vinny.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is down to the player, not the manager. If a player feels that he is worth more than he is being offered then he can simply move on. However, it shows the limit of his ambition when he is far more likely to be challenging for promotion with Leeds than Derby and if Leeds were to be promoted then his earnings would soar overnight. With Derby, he may get a couple of quid extra initially but where will he be in 3 or 4 years? If he is so shortsighted, then good luck to him. Remember the other young lads who left us a few years ago for the supposed riches. Where are they now?

Agree0 Disagree0

Playing for Aston villa, Leicester, saint etiene(spelling), spurs, man city all of which were as high as or better than us last season its a shame but true MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Other young lads that have left recently - Alan Smith, Simon Walton, Aaron Lennon, Fabian Delph...cash in Mr Warnock and spend the money on someone who embodies the spirit of ER. Rodolph Austin mayhap?

Michael Brown has agreed a new 1 year deal. official site

Believable16 Unbelievable8

It says that they think he will sign it, not been made official

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad news - Would be great to get rid of Brown - contributes nothing to the team except rash tackles, not marking his player, gets cards. Yet to see him play well for Leeds.

Lets see Beckford back!

I was original poster...last week, I met him playing golf and he told me he was staying at least 1 rumour on this site is correct! LOL

Firstly it doesnt say that on the website at all.. it says he is 'expected to' and secondly he was miles better than Clayton in the last like 10 games of the season. But you all moan about selling Clayton he started season well but disappeared and was absolutely s***e for the rest of it..

Ed, is Luke Varney really what we need as a McCormack replacement? And if he is, it he really worth paying £300K for?

Cheers as always,

Roundhay White

Believable12 Unbelievable7

According the article in YEP by Vince Hillaire, we would be getting a very good player in Varney. I think it stated he came back from a long injury lay-off last season, probably why he didn't really set the world alight, but with a good pre-season behind him you never know, could be another shrewd signing

Agree0 Disagree0

He has pace. NW is setting us up like QPR, Snoddy in lieu of Taarabt, there will be an array of striking options, power, pace, centre backs who will be awesome, full backs quick, strong experienced, who kept goal in that QPR team? Come on Leeds, MOT
Cambridge White

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Varney is a replacement for McCormack, he is another option as either a winger or a stiker.
If Rossco is sold then that money will be used to bring in a worthwile replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would the "ed" know anything about this, they have just the same information as the rest of us. {Ed013's Note - I would like to think that he is asking our opinion and we do have certain contacts in places thank you! I have to believe Neil can get the most out of him, not my choice, but then I am not the manager so I will support him when he pulls on that white shirt}

Varney will play on the wing you would imagine. I have a mate that is a Wednesday fan and he says Varney is a real talent.

I'm with you Ed. Varney is nowhere near my idea of what we need to get promotion, but I never boo or slag off our own when they're wearing the white and trying their best (for the record, I've never joined any anti-Bates chant either, despite my misgivings with the regime, on the basis that it's not what the players need to hear). Agree0 Disagree0

Pre-takeover there is no way that we could afford him. Also, he wouldn't permanently drop doen a divison (although The Mighty Whites will surely be top fligh next season). A loan signing would be a very good option for the lad, guaranteed football in front of a large, passionate crowd. Liverpool would be daft not to give the boy this sort of grounding.

Got a work mate from Nottingham who tells me warnock was spotted at hotel outside training ground. Only passing this info on, be surprised if true. I am a Leeds fan so hope it's not true {Ed020's Note - there is'nt a hotel nerby the training ground am being lead to beleive, this rumour was posted on the forest site yesterday and the forest fans rubbished it themselves, can't see it being true if am honest, not with the work NW is putting in atm}

Believable1 Unbelievable13

Warnock won't leave now. He said on Talk Sport yesterday that he had other job offers this summer and could have walked, that was probably the Forest job offer. But he decided to stay at Leeds due to the fans support, and most likely assurances from the new owner(s) that he was there man and would have a backing

Second poster again - I guess it throws up the whole pennant thing. He's done his time for his crimes, so should be allowed to carry on playing. My only reservation is that time and again he lets himself and his club down, dragging both names through the dirt. He doesn't seem to learn - much the same as Barton.

Believable17 Unbelievable16

Well you may be right on the first two accounts (hopefully!) but we aren't LOANING any players, and Warnock has shown no interest in any of those players either, none of them WANT to play for Leeds either?

Agree0 Disagree0

No you mis-heard it was Burger King we were intrested in

Agree0 Disagree0

This "Ken Bates has cleared out his office" stuff is a bit strange. He has to spend a large amount of his time in Monte-Carlo where he lives otherwise he has to pay full tax. So why would he have an office at ER when he's only there maybe 4 weeks out of the whole year ? {Ed020's Note - because he owns the club?}

Agree0 Disagree0

"Ed020's Note - because he owns the club?"

True, but just how much 'stuff' would need clearing out? I doubt he pays more than a flying visit to the club, so I can't imagine he'd have a lot of stuff there in the first place? {Ed020's Note - tbh, we all know the original post was tosh anyways about his office being cleared, so really there's nothing to discuss about it lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

His office was cleared out over 3 weeks ago so old news

This is from the mirror

Leeds are set to sign Portsmouth striker Luke Varney - but will bizarrely pay the money to Championship rivals Derby!

United boss Neil Warnock aims to tie up a move for the much-travelled 29-year-old - whose CV also includes Crewe, Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackpool - within 24 hours.

However, Leeds will not give any money to cash-strapped League One side Pompey.

Instead, they will settle up an outstanding sum of around £300,000 that his former club Derby are still due from his move to Portsmouth last summer.

Is this guy really worth £300,000?

Believable17 Unbelievable7

"Is this guy really worth £300,000?"

Only one way we are going to find out if he's worth £500,00 to us.

And have you thought that if Aidey White does go to Derby for £500,000 we would actually be taking the £300,000 from this sum?

Leedw4alongtime

Agree0 Disagree0

When this guys on form hes worth sooo much more than £300,000!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is defo worth 300,000 if we can find the form that he showed when he was at blackpool and hes certainly something different from what we have now. Worthwhile signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely With Pompey in administration it clears all debts owed to other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought sell on clauses were a percentage of the purchase price and it will be like paynter if he is on form worth the price if he struggles it'll be a rip off I think he's worth it

Not in my opinion, no. There are I think many better options out there. Chapel A
