West ham and Wigan are fighting to secure the services of Ross mcormack in a 2.5m deal. I wouldnt rate him that much so lets get him gone

Believable41 Unbelievable13

Maybe swap for watson or what about conner samon

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not a team player, let him go. Leeds need togetherness more than ever?

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true I would snatch their hands off. Obviously he doesn't want to stay so we might as well get some decent money for him, and 2.5m is a bit more than I'd expect him to bring. Hopefully this money, if it happens, will go back into the team

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. this is what i read in click lancashire. i dont think we will get that for him but can only be good if we do

Agree0 Disagree0

Could he be unhappy we are looking at diouf ?

Chorley White

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take £1m and Connor Salmon... that would be an awesome piece of business.

I cannot do with the likes of Clayton and McCormack, one season of reasonable performances and they suddenly want over £15k per week. let them go and let Neil built the team he wants.

We have a manager that will not stand on ceremony, knows what he wants in terms of attitude and ability and i for one am really confident we will have a very strong and powerful team come August.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will drive him there for 2.5 million, take the deal !!.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only worry here is that losing another player and a fellow Scot may unsettle Snodgrass further

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed, before we all get excited about spending £2.5m by selling Ross, I seem to recall there is a sell on fee due to Cardiff, maybe 20%. Do you know if this is true?

Al {Ed013's Note - I do believe this is the case, not sure how much, but we got him for a low price so it does make sense}

Agree0 Disagree0

If we did get 2.5m AND Papa Smurf allowed those funds to be put back into team building (rather than fat wallet building!!!!!!!!!!) then we could virtually buy half a team with that (in consideration of Pearce and Wards values). Can't see it being quite that high but even 1.5m would be good for a selfish player who 2 years ago couldnt get a game for a distinctly average cardiff team!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he goes then it will be a blow losing our best player (last season performed and tried week in and week out, unlike the rest of the team) but if we can get decent money and find a replacement as good for the same money then so be it. If we give in to one players demands then pretty soon everyone else will be demanding more money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wherever mccormack goes (he is most likely leaving) we definitely need to bring in 1 or 2 more strikers jeez warnock is going to have a tough time this summer!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say he is one of our best players. i also think that if he isnt signing a new contract then he can F@@k Off. well be lucky to get 2.5m for him!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see why people think he was s**t last season? He was miles better than Becchio, our top goal scorer and he would put a 100% effort into every game! If Ross leave it's a bitter loss for United!

Leeds are set to contact Z. Whitbread tomorrow, believed to be initially offering him a 2 year contract on £3,500(ish) a week.

Believable18 Unbelievable33

£3500? Are you mad? He will be on way more than than at Norwich and I cant see him taking too much of a cut to come up north too
M.L.L

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a bargain if its right i'd guess he wud be one at least double or triple that

Agree0 Disagree0

Surley gettin offered more than that is he worth 8 grand a week anyway i'd say!

Agree0 Disagree0

! with prem clubs interested and we are gonna offer lower end league 1 wages? just leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

That wouldnt pay for the highlights in his hair not alone anything else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we are more likely to get "one size" Fitz Hall - just been released by QPR and was N.W's captain at the start of this season, before Joey "the thug" Barton arrived.

Paddy Kenny to be announced as signing number 2 sometime next week. Paul

Believable23 Unbelievable23

Pointless...Lonergan is as good,its a sideways step and a wage we can do without when we have limited funds

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy kenny is way better than lonergan

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan is average - almost 150 goals conceded in 2 x seasons!

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I like Lonergan he is not as good as Kenny. The last time he played in this league he kept a staggering 24 clean sheets witch help QPR no end to get to the prem.
Haveing said that I would not get rid of Lonergan he would keep Kenny on hes tose

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan is poor but Kenny is no better. McCarthy is the man

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the last post, Alex McCarthy is my preferred choice. As good as Lonergan and Kenny are, I think McCarthy could be our GK for the next 10 years (mind you, I thought that about Schmeichel) - JamesC.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see no point in getting Kenny instead of Lonners but Warnock has taken him everywhere with him so would not be suprised

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenny is far better and unlike lonergan who is a vampire [doesnt like crosses]

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenny is loads better......lonergan still has to show us what he is made of, hopefully this season he will. I would have Kenny as a back up, NW doesnt name a sub goalie but then he did have super sub goalie Bromby on the bench most of the time, and ive heard he is a cracking goalie!

Agree0 Disagree0

And lonnergan hasnt conceded like 150 goals in 2 seasons? and this is a lower level. Paddy Kenny was immense against city and has played well most of season against QPR!

From a reliable source who works near the amex stadium brighton, has said that Craig mackail smith and ross mcormack could be trading places. And i would assume there would a cash sum involved somewhere as well. Please dont shoot the messenger if this doesnt happen but a strong and honest rumour to report.

Believable17 Unbelievable27

Is mackail smith fast tho? If he is then I'd rather have him than mccormack

Agree0 Disagree0

His is quite pacy, perhaps quicker than ross.

I would imagine we would have to add a little fee to get him though, he is valued around 3-4mill and ross is around 2.5mill

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackail smith is a player in similar mold to mccormack. hes definitely got more pace. he hassles defenders quite well. mccormack doesnt want to stay, mackail smith would be decent replacement.

LJHS

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackail smith is quick and has a great engine on him, but I'd rather have Ross

Agree0 Disagree0

As a Brighton fan, CMS may be perfect for you lot. He is extremely hard working and pretty quick (quicker than McCormack I think). He is not prolific at this level, but if you have him next to a proven scorer in becchio, they could be deadly. Brighton fans would pretty happy with this as we really need a proven scorer and McCormack fits the bill. Not unrealistic too.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack will go to a Lower Premiership club if he leaves Leeds, not a lower Championship club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brighton finished top half of the championship. Above Leeds. If they are a lower championship club, Leeds must be delegation candidates...

I live in north London and have a close friend who works at White Hart Lane. Accordingly, Danny Rose is set to be moving out on loan this month. Could it possibly be to us? {Ed013's Note - I don't understand why he would come to us on loan before pre-season. Waste of wages}

Believable9 Unbelievable25

Ed, you can agree a loan term but not have to sign and seal it until needs be! Surely you would know that! {Ed013's Note - The above says moving out on loan this month. That means in May. What will Leeds get out of that apart from loss in wages. Yes you can agree a loan in principle and move in pre-season, but read what the above says}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant loans be paid in full by the parent club.......

Agree0 Disagree0

From this seasons loans from spurs i very much doubt that NW will loan any future players from there again! look waht happened Adam Smith and then Andros Townsend, surely NW will not move for another spurs player on loan....!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets not forget danny rose was at leeds for a few years so you never know....

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, at the risk of seeming a bit churlish, Rose had his chance at Leeds, but the bright lights and crinkly bits of paper blinded his reasoning, so now he may come back on loan? I think not.

Agree0 Disagree0

An agreement might have been done where we pay his wages from august onwards? cant go making presumptions

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - Warnock wants 'the' team together as soon as possible, so no point pulling the guy in at the end of July? {Ed013's Note - He wants them in by pre-season. I can see the point in buying a player as you are beating off competition and players know where they are in terms of new club etc. For a loan signing, in which Neil says he doesn't want, is a waste of money if signed 3 month prior to the start of a season. You are just taking a burden off another club, whilst we are throwing money away. In my honest opinion, unless the loan was with an option to buy, then any loans will be towards the end of their summer break or even the transfer window it permanent transfers don't come off}

Leeds are inquiring about a possible swap + cash deal to motherwell for tom hateley. Believed to be 500kish + Nunez

Believable23 Unbelievable25

Good player and versatile and young, seems a feasible deal imo

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt it, Motherwell have qualified for the Champions League qualifying rounds, so why would one of their players come to the Championship?

Danny Rose to Leeds United on season long loan - very close source at Elland Road expect to be done before 25th May {Ed013's Note - Why would we loan someone for a season in May? what a waste of money, July yes, May No}

Believable13 Unbelievable35

To the editors note about "why loan someone in may.." whats saying an agreement hasnt have been done where we pay wages from august onwards? {Ed013's Note - Then I would be happy with that}

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be too early for Spurs to say who they could loan out as they have no idea about their ins and outs for next season yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Might not make sense in a financial one, but if you want the player to bed in quickly and be a part of the pre-season prep then it would make perfect sense to get him in as soon as you can.
Hope it happens, quality former leeds player, maybe the club could bring back Fabian Delph also.
