Sad to say but i think the fat lady has stopped singing I know if we beat Norwich and Ipswich beat Wendies its down to last day but can't see it happening, and Udders won't lose all three. Basically down to lack of creativity by both team and manager. Been a great season but when you are 4th with 5-6 games to go its hard to stomach our present position. Not looking forward to summer transfer market if Januarys was owt to go by.

Monk and the team lacked the courage of their convictions today as our "have a go" attitude did not muster an attempt on target for over 80 mins.

I agree that the current formation has got us this far however we have been worked out for a few months now and I am unsure as to whether Monk does not trust the current players to play another way or he is personally incapable of changing his philosophy.

That being said he had over achieved with an average squad and that should be recognised. History has repeated itself through a lack of investment in January has left us short

Certainly I have said, over the weeks that "Don't let them score" is Monk's first thoughts. We have never looked like a 4-0 team but having said that, if we had obtained promotion with boring 1-0 wins then I for one would not be complaining. There have been too many games where we have been outplayed but have salvaged a draw or a win against the odds. Let's hope that the close season sees a shake up (which may be forced on us by departures) . Next season will see more of a Monk's team and whilst I agree, build from the back, I hope that he finds a tight, forward thinking, midfield with a few goals in them. I am hoping now that the hardest working employees in Leeds are the scouts looking, searching and planning for next year.

Massive improvement from last season i think we would have settled for top 10 finish at start we are a solid mid table championship team now until we get huge investment from a new owner who doesn't mind spending money. M. O. T

We will see the commitment of our new owner. With the money he is saving by purchasing a Championship team compared to a Premiership team he has a larger kitty for team investment.

I'm not convinced that monk will stay next season and to be honest I'm not sure that he is the man who could win us promotion. There is no doubt that he has built a side which is better than last season, however he doesn't appear to learn from previous games and player performances.

I am sure that I am in a clear minority and I am not suggesting that I know the person who would take us over, but I look around at the other teams near us and they just appear to play like they are meant to be there, we don't and honestly haven't all season when you look at the performances. Yes good teams get results when they don't play well, but that's a few times a season.

I think you're right. He's made mistakes and poor team selections that if we were mid table wouldn't be an issue but the top 6 is like a league of its own and one where mistakes bite you in the arse, that and lack of investment of course. One thing that has gone right this season though is the fans, we have shown we are united and we deserve better.

Correct Curahee I'm not bothered if Monk stays or not. He had the chance in the palm of his hand and failed so who's to say he can do any better in the future? Bring back Larry and back him with funds and he will deliver promotion.

Gutted tonight. Not just 'cos we're not in the playoffs but because we will now lose more players, probably Monk also. Most of the home grown talent has/will be gone along with the better players and we will be back to square one again. I can see years of mediocrity ahead once again.

You know the daft thing is, there's only two games left and we can still finish third if results go our way! 😭

All over now and the sad bit is the money they are paying back on season tickets would have paid for a striker in january

We often don't create enough chances for a striker anyway

Your right al, but it wasn't a striker we needed, it was an experienced box to box midfielder. We have 2 strikers, but we only ever play 1 up front regardless!

The new introduction of pedroza on the left hand side in the starting 11 instead of doukara i believe has contributed with our resent downfall. doukara is more of a team player and a physical threat going forward. he is also offers help to our leftback .

I think we need to stop, as a club, signing so many loan players, especially ones which became regular first teamers. I understand the concept behind it, obviously, but yet again we could potentially find ourselves looking to fill our cb spot and two regular wingers, at least.

This is a massive headache, as probably in the summer we will need to replace them before thinking about anything else. Do any other teams around us have that many of their first 11 belong to someone else?

It also leads to the mental attitude of oh well I won't be here next season, so who cares. granted not with everyone, especially barts, but some. barrow is a good example, Adryan was another

Or if they are getting regular football might spur them into playing their socks off for a permanent transfer. I don't think your Barrow comment is valid he has been away on international duty for most of the period (GM should have seen that coming) and I also think that Adryan arrived with too much hype and was too young and physically immature for this league.

Fair enough peacock. Has barrow played anymore international games since he been with us than any other of our international players?
