Hammill is a good player better then templeton but personally anyone who has turned us down in the past i wouldn't want to see at my club remember he turned down leeds to sign for Barnsley when he was released by Liverpool

Still nothing from LUST? Been reading on another popular LUFC forum that it could be wording in the Idemnity that both parties have to sign that is the reason for the deal stalling. Most probably relating to money owed to creditors that Ken wants to pass onto new owners. Surely this will be peanuts compared to what he stands to make from the TO going through?

The silence from LUST is deafening. No comment since Leeds beat Wolves, and then only a quick tweet. That's five days nearly since an update. Last week you couldn't shut them up, they were on the radio, and tweeting like mad, this week nothing. This despite the identification of the potential investors at Leeds.

Cannot say I am bothered about not hearing anythign from LUST. Most of the stuff they have come out with has been counter productive anyway. I know we are all wanting a resolution the the takeover situation but at the end of the day what will happen will happen in its own sweet time. We as fans can do sod all about that except keep getting behind the team each game and helping NW get us back to where we know we belong !!!

What the original poster is saying is reportedly true. Bates is stalling, big time. Seems he doesn't want to go.

Maybe their silence is because they expect the club to announce a takeover/investment at any moment. Either that or I think they can't say anything else without telling us something they're not meant to...

Thats because LUST were the ones who was being taken over, the people at Elland road were there to buy LUST, Bates tricked them into a meeting . Dare to dream thats what they did and they sold out . LUST now work for Bates so expect to hear nothing going fwd

In conclusion no one knows anything and everyone has their own thoughts but at the end of the day its all speculation. My own theory is that talks will collapse as Bates wants to keep soem control and wants to run the show with someone elses money which is never going to happen. I expect collapse in talks to be announced next week

Ed can confirm that when I rarely post it is not to add or fuel rumours. The reason for the delay is the amount of money bates wants if and when we get back to the PL. This is totally genuine from a rather p****d off source who is very much involved in the negotiations.

When will fans realise that lust know no more than the rest of us. I am starting to believe that the takeover will not go through, but I sure hope that I am wrong. Surely if it was going to happen it would have happened by now, as seemingly there is very little left to do. But its been too quiet for my liking.

I too heard the stalling was down to a possible "Skeleton in the closet" clause. Apparently the prospective new owners want assurances if anybody comes knocking for money owed once they are in charge, then this gets passed onto Bates.

If Bates and the prospective investors signed a confidentiality agreement, do you really think a trust that has nothing officially to do with LUFC will be privy to any insider knowledge?

Your forgetting forest who absolutely destroyed us last season. i know we won big at their ground(R.I.P - G.SPEED) but the thrashing they gave us was a footballing lesson to learn from. No McCleary but still a class team when motivated that can cause us loads of probs.

Although I'm disappointed with tonight's result, I can't say I'm surprised. The Seasiders are a good team and at mo have better players and a stronger squad than we have. I can imagine NW is desperate to try and get some good quality players in asap as we need them if we are to mount a serious challenge for the title this season.

We need the takeover to happen soon as imo we need a creative midfielder/winger, a quality striker and a top notch CB. Without these, we will have to have a war of attrition every game which, of course, I hope we win.

This division will be really tough this year so I have my prayer mat out facing mid-east hoping the takeover will be done this week. MOT Ron

I think that leeds need to consolidate and build a team this year. More depth needed to mount a promotion push. If austin, macormack, kenny gets injured who is there to replace them?

Sub keeper ashdown is fine and Alex Cairns if we r desperate or an emergency loan

Hi, there are two wingers waiting for a chance, Nunez and Rogers.
I would be fairly sure NW would have had no idea about Byram until he played him, how hard would it be to give those two guys a go against Oxford? If he can play Pugh as a sub why not Nunez and Rogers, obviously being on the transfer list actually means very little.
As an asides there must be something in the water at ER. You buy a RB, and play him at CB and LB, your LB signing does not get a game, while your back up LB is played at RM.

I agree every game will be a battle but you still need a bit of quality in the middle of the park. if we could get Quinn and templeton i would be happy with the squad and think we'll be there or there abouts

Sam byram to far to quickly,surely drury in hie favoured left back roll and Peltier in his favoured right back roll

I'm not one that likes to see players out of position but, I also wouldn't have liked to see Byram dropped just because Green was injured. From what I've seen Byram will be a good player for us this season and I'm glad he played!!

Can't understand why Peltier didn't move to right mid allowing Lees to come in at centre half thus leaving team largely unchanged and no-one playing out of position. Makes sense to me but hey, what do I know?

He has great promise but ideally need more experience against the better teams. Don't want him to lose confidence having been dropped in the deep end
