From what I've heard, todays rumour seems to be billy sharp joining on a permanent basis, heard we have enquired about him and the club is ready to make a bid, not entirely sure that its true but would be a great signing for the club if it is true.

I would prefer gary hooper but he would go to a prem club. sharp and Morrison would be good together but we need some pacey wingers to provide for them.

You'd prefer gary hooper? i'd like to know where you think a 7 million transfer fee would come from.

We missed the boat big time on both Hooper and Charlie Austin when Grayson decided to mark our triumphant return to the Championship by going all out for one Barndoor Billy. Chapel A

Jerome Thomas release by WBA we must make a play for him!

He did nothing for us when we had him, complete rubbish
Agree3

I think he would be a realistic target, done ok for us, bit on and off bit if he's under contract with us he might give a bit more, be high wages though and he seems quite prone to injury, worth a gamble though
Agree0

Past his best that's why he's been released. Think about it

Hes a good player for championship teams.

He was on lone under warnock don't forget, maybe a fast passing game suits him better
Agree1

Pace and capable of winning a game, something that we don't have in the squad at the moment.
Agree0
Disagree0
He was very hit and miss with us, at times showed flashes of brilliance but then went missing in action, the problem would be if he got a contract would he go missing in action more so and just be prepared to pick up his wages.
Agree1
Disagree0
He was ok but no more then that, we should be thinking about better than him;lets move on
Agree0

If he wasn't the answer last season, why is he the answer now? Had a great debut, made the goal vs Chelsea with a great pass -but apart from that. ? Chapel A

I was thinking about his pace too, just what we need if we can get an extra 10% out of him this time around
Agree0
Disagree0
You've got to remember that he was brilliant in his first couple of matches and due to that, teams started to double up on him. We didn't have the personell to capitalise on the gaps this caused but if we brought in another good winger to go with him and an attacking midfielder there'd be much more threat to teams that did this!
Agree2

Also remeber he hadn't played for months before he joined on loan so was no where near match fit. Realisticly it takes 6-7 games to get match fit, by this time he'd gone back to the Baggies and started in their 1st team. Would be a good signing I reckon

As I remember it, second time round he decided to go blackburn on loan. Were LUFC not good enough for him? We don't need any more passengers next season, we already have a full express train of those. MOT.

Not very good pacey but goes up blind alleys one assit in all the time he was with us we deserve better

B great if ashdown goes but ben wilson noooo thanks

If a keeper leaves this summer it will be Kenny.

Why would it be great if Ashdown goes? He hasn't played anywhere near enough times for us to make a reasoned judgement, and if you do want to judge those 9 games he actually did play in, then I think you'd come to the conclusion that he's played quite well for us this year.
Agree2

Have to agree with posters 2 and 3 why let Ashdown go? IMHO he's far better than PK; old, past it and made too many mistakes last season
Agree0
Disagree0
Kenny has been a prem gk, ashdown has never so obviously kenny is better, no prem team has ever even wanted ashdown, he's terrible. kenny ain't the best but with a decent defence he would b good. look at kasper at leicester, wernt very good with us but got in the playoffs with them who have a much better defence. kenny is good, ashdown is very poor
Agree0

Ashdown is a dece keeper as proved by his performances in the cups, PK did alright last season but he is weak when it comes to shot stopping in the corners.
In relation to Wilson think he has the potential to be a future England keeper js
