Afternoon all, anyone heard what is happening to Robbie McDaid? We went to a lot of effort to get him including playing over in Glanavon - not heard or seen much of him?!?

He is playing in the development side regularly and is coming on well but he is behind the likes or Parkin and Stokes at the moment. He looks a good prospect.

McDaid needs one more season in order to stake a claim for the first team. However, you're right to be concerned. He could be another Dawson. Time will tell. Both are good enough for League 2 football so don't understand why they're not out on loan.

George, Tbh that's what I was hoping to hear he must be 19 by now - still, I am sure the coaches etc know what they are doing.

Gimple was touted as being the next big thing and he didn't make it. Surely McDaid is ready now given that Cook broke through at just 17

Still very young -some make it, others don't.The ones that do aren't necessarily the names touted early on.

Did not get much playing time in U21 last season for whatever reason so will be playing catch up. Seen him twice and looks decent maybe mid season or cup games.
