I am not happy with this if it is true. Seen him a lott in Norway........I will be surprised if he is good enough

It says this on wikipedia-
Leeds United.. On 24th January 2012 Enar Jääger singed for Leeds United on a 2 and a half year deal. It will be announced on the 28th January.

It now says 31st January, why would we sign a player and not announce it? I'm pretty sure all the characters on Family Guy were once in the Trinidad and Tobago squad according to Wiki. . .

I remember when it said Lee Barnard was a Leeds United player, and he ended up at Southampton.

Sick of all the crap that goes on here the only true rumours are St Ledger, Wellens, Pattison, Boyd and Clingan! Why can't we just build on them and find out more about if they are coming or not!

I reckon clingan,wellens will but st ledger no go cos leicester need him,back in there starting 11 last night and played well,shame really would have played well with lees.

If you could get boyd playing like he was for rangers I would take him and sell mccormack,that then frees up more cash for another striker or to strengthen another position.

I would take boyd any day superb finisher and at this level wow !!!!!

If we went to get rid of mccormack we would have to get rid of paynter and forrsell as well and that would free up some money for wages for someone like sharp or rhodes . remove the crap first or at the same time or we will never be a stronger team

I don't see why people want rid of mccormack. in my eyes he is one of the better strikers in the league. hes a quality finisher, good pace, great movement and hes a smart footballer. ye he maybe one of the high earners but hes one of the better players thats how clubs are run. LRS

Boyd is terrible,he couldn't do it at middlesborough,too slow and can't keep his hands out of the fridge by the look of him...stay clear leeds

Agree with Ed, given the controversies of a Smith moves if we are genuinely interested (not saying we are) I very much doubt we'll hear anything if hes going to sign, until he actually does..IF he does..

More likely to sign for cardiff, southampton or west ham than us.

Erm Cardiff? never! can't see that, Wet Spam? maybe......Saints? always linked but again if he wanted to go he would've gone by now. We'll see.

Leeds still interested in Clingan - Coventry Telegraph.
Not an amazing midfielder but solid, honest and decent. Will probably only cost about 200 - 250k and isn't wage greedy.
Might prove to be exactly what we need sitting in front of defence and behind midfield in a 4-5-1 formation

I personally don't think Clingan is that good,made a point of watching him when we played cov at home(due to rumours back then)and thought he was average at best

They said they wouldn't accept anything under a million, now his contract is running out maybe getting him slightly cheaper, but much more than 250K

You have to look more than once, i think he could make us tick in midfield and take pressure of the defence.

He's a decent player and will prove it in a decent team.
200 -250k might be a bit underestimating what we'll pay but we might get away with that as a down payment and then put add ons like appearances, promotion and sell on %. {Ed020's Note -he's not being played to his full potential rotting away at coventry, your only as good as the team around you, would be a good move for him and leeds, and if we get him at 250k, BARGAIN}

Just been reading coventrys fans oppinion of him and all are saying hes s**t so will probable fit into leeds team quite well ps bates out

Beckford is vastly overated by Leeds in the past and was crap at Everton, no way is he a premier league player {Ed020's Note - 10 goals in evertons season and almost goal of the season i think says differantly}

Was far under rated by moyes at everton actualy. Didnt play him enough. When he did play he scored. He didnt really get a chance.

The first response is bad! Beckford was a different grade for Leeds and nearly 70goals in 2 years backs my point up.

people say he was lazy, miserable, mardy, needed 10 chances to score 2 goals etc etc, but at teh end of the day Strikers are judged on their scoring record and Beckford's has been the best leeds have had for a longggg time! he is certainly capale of playing in the prem. everyton played him up front alone a lot of the time and he scored 10 goals!

10 goals in one season mostly from the bench or played upfront on his own is testament to how successful he was. Andy Carroll got 12 goals playing in his favourite position every game and moved for £35m.

If Beckford is available and affordable then sign him. Its not rocket science is it? We need a goalscorer-Beckford has proved over a number of seasons at Leeds that he can score goals and I am sure that he would again prove how invaluable he can be. I know all the sayings about him- no technique/lazy/can't head the ball/ relies on pace etc. SO WHAT- HE SCORES GOALS!

Maurice Ross has been handed a one week trial with Leeds with a view to a one year contract.
Would be a handy pickup IMO.

Why would we want to buy a player who is well past his sell by date and has played for 10 or more teams in the lower divisions, we need quality and not quantity plus the players we get need to be better than the players we have currently.

Alex Bruce has not been given a fair chance in the team. Whenever he has played I think he has always done well and looks far more solid and assured at the back than the likes of Kisnorbo (until injured), O'Dea and even Lees. He can also play the ball out of defence rather than just hoof it forward

Hope Leeds have a master plan, because doesnt it leave us a bit short of first team defenders ,what will happen if a few injuries come along ?

I like Bruce, don't know why he never gets a game. Seems better than o dea and a good young prospect too. Very strange!!

It's because he always makes at least one mistake a game that costs a goal, has no pace and isn't good in the air, and if a 28 year old is your idea of a good young prospect then you must think Brown is in his prime.

He will be going on loan again before end of feb so don't worry

Hope he does well, scores, and is MOM - somebody might then buy him - Leeds need to get rid asap, along with a few others that are playing in this match
