I'm sure Killa's grand kids will love to hear all about his glory days in the football wilderness that is the West Country.

Believable14 Unbelievable3

If he wants the money then let him go he is a fantastic player that should be a great club he will realise his mistake one day however surely he as a talented young player should have just been given what he wants if we want to get the prem which i cant see happening with howson about to be surrounded in the middle of midfield by pensioners and donkeys like ramon nunez!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kilkenny is absolutely terrible & did nothing last season but walk around the midfield and pass the ball sideways or backwards.

Donkeys like Nunez? He made one appearance for leeds as a subsitute where he was actually the liveliest leeds player on the pitch, then had a very successful loan period at Scunthorpe

You absolute tw*t.

24 Jun 2011 21:40:13
Ed u talk some crap i said the other day honeymoon is over for grayson if he is not up to it shod off! Let me tell you my old mucker i have been supporting leeds since 72 and I have been a season ticket holder for many years up until recently due to work commitments, I still go at least to 10 games a year I live in west wales 550 mile round trip so don't to get behind a bloke who at the end of the season did not know his"arse from his elbow" rest assured if we start off like the last quarter of last season Grayson will be gone. For instance he had a gem in Ross McCormack and it took him until the last 2 games to reslise it. He also has blamed a young goalie for letting in 70 goals.Nothing to do with his sometimes crazy team selections!!!! Reply Ed ? {Ed015's Note - Fans expect miracles overnight, they ask for too much too soon, we got promoted last and finished 7th 1st time of asking, without major changes to our squad, the 1st season after promotion is always to consolidate our position and not go down, how is the time he has to strengthen the squad and push for play offs, il be honest i dont remember me disagreeing about the honey moon period being over but just because we didnt go up last season doesnt mean Grayson has failed as a manager}

Believable14 Unbelievable4

Grayson has failed as a manager, the last 2 seasons he has thrown away fantastic position and cocked it up.in league one at xmas we were about 11 points clear come may we scraped up in second place approx 11 points behind norwich that equates to nearly 8 games we lost and they won thats 2 months of football. and then last season cosy in play off place only for a second season running to show relegation form in the run in and finished 7th norwich meanwhile went up so to the clown on about consolidation thats crap and you know it, its about moving forward not standing still. Or as in our case going backwards. graysons chucked the best keeper outside prem and brought in blackpools reserve that is not going forward and deep down you all know it. GRAYSON OUT!!!!!

Agree6 Disagree0

Thats odd, I seem to remember 11 players being on that field, and Grayson wasn't one off them. Convenient that you became a Leeds fan in the same year we won the FA Cup and now you're criticizing the best manager we've had in years because he hasn't managed to bring back the glory years in his two seasons in charge.

Agree0 Disagree1

Norwich City managed it. Have Leeds progressed because of or in spite of Grayson (where would we be without Snodgrass Becchio, Howson and Gradel (graysons only really good signing). {Ed015's Note - norwich went up. and norwich will come straight back down, we have got out of L1 and now is our time to rebuild, strengthen and push forward}

Agree0 Disagree0

With all due respect, Norwich were a stronger team than us in League 1 & we were lucky at ER against them, also, very very few teams do what Norwich did & they also didn't have to combat injuries to their best players like we did with Schmeichel, Snodgrass & Becchio. If we'd have gone up last season we would of been murdered every week in the coming season. I prefer that we build a strong squad over this summer & next summer which will compete in the Prem like the Swansea team that took 3 seasons to get up from the Championship after coming up as Champions of League 1.

White Lightning.

Agree1 Disagree0

As if you've had a massive rant about Grayson and called the editor your 'old mucker', Leeds fans like you give the rest of us a bad name and the club would be better off without you.

In Grayson We Trust. {Ed015's Note - Iv had worse abuse lol, nice to see the real leeds fans speak up}

Killkenny on 3 times the wages he was on at Leeds. Not good that ( . )( . ) city can offer more money than Leeds
Come on Ken get your loose change out and try and get the players in 2 take us 2 the next level up not down

Believable21 Unbelievable3

Or maybe bristol city are paying three times over the odds for a skillful but consistently underperforming player

Agree20 Disagree6

Kilkenny was still on his League 1 wages remember so he will likely of been on £4k a week-ish. Meaning that Bristol City are paying £12k a week for a very overrated player who rarely passes the ball forwards.

Agree1 Disagree1

For a start Kilkenny was on a League 1 wage, so of course he'd be getting an increase. Bristol are welcome to him and are entitled to pay what they feel he is worth. He was free of course so will have negotiated a decent top-up on his basic salary; that is how it works. Enjoy!

My source of information tells me kasper is goin to dig his heels in he doesn't want to leave he is gonna play down his contract and go for free making it awkward for leeeds to bring in new keeper as they need him off the payroll before they can bring in new keeper prob thanks to bates comments the longer he takes to leave the longer we have to wait to replace him

Believable15 Unbelievable6

Great man management on grayson and bates's part with Kasper. part of me wants kasper to refuse to leave and totally f* " them 2 idiots up.because if he wont leave we still have to honour his contract and we all know uncle kens too tight to buy another replacement cos rubberchicken or what ever they call him aint good enough hes worse than higgs.

Agree0 Disagree13

Rachubka was Blackpool's keeper the year they got promoted, so he isn't that bad. Gilks only got into the team because Rachubka got injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rachubka did however let 9 goals in in 3 games last season one of them games was against southampton on the cup i believe {Ed015's Note - We did let 6 in against preston and 5 against barnsley}

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he will. Kasper plans to sign for a Premiership club and earn a big fat signing fee. He is juts gutted as Leeds saw through his little game. Enjoy the reserve games kasper; oh wait, we aren't fielding a reserve team anymore! A whole year to build that bulging waistline and then some nondescript Turkish team will have you in six months. Enjoy!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2011 20:57:09
If killkenny went for the money does that mean we can't even compete with bristol city worrying if thats the case {Ed015's Note - That is worrying but there was a few clubs chasing him, hes gonna be 1st choice at city tho}

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Bristol City av attendance 14-15k. Financing new build stadium and can pay Killa 3x Leeds wage. KB trying to build new exec boxes and cant afford wages of a half decent loan player despite some of the best crowds in football ! KB priority is not football. Love Grayson but also feel KB not really supporting ambition. I think SG desperately tryin to pull rabbit out the hat for the crowd.

Agree1 Disagree0

Kilkenny went because he was not going to be a regular this season and because Grayson doesn't fancy him; he inherited him and did not buy him. Weak player, though with nice technique.

Complete and utter nonsense.

LUFC don't have £3 quid let alone 3 million. Going down!

Believable8 Unbelievable20

Oh!! yes we do

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually we're £6million in profit as of 09/10 and Bates has said we made a profit last season. That combined with the fee for Kasper and the installments of the Delph deal will likely see us be close to £9million in credit.

All the people thinking Rachubka will be first choice as a replacement for Kasper obviously haven't read the news on the official site as it clearly states the deal was done a few weeks ago. Read the OS before comlaining

The deal was done few week ago yes but that was because sg and bates new they was going to sell kasper. Depending on the other keeper we bring In in pre season they will be fighting for the number 1 shirt. Sg knows Paul realy well from Blackpool {Ed001's Note - to back this up, Grayson did have Rachubka as his first choice keeper while in charge at Blackpool.}

It always amazes me that fans of our great club choose to attack the Manager & Chairman in June every year, and call for their head. It's June! Players, Manager's, Chairmen, owners and agents currently sunning themselves on tropical Islands in remote places (with mobile's not too far away true!!) and although they have a good understanding of the list of out of contract players they cannot be signed until July 1 in any event.

Generally, in June, there's so much posturing between clubs and agents and the only players who commit to a club early in June are those who have little interest from elsewhere and need to nail their colours to the mast, unless of course the player is a huge star courted by many...i.e) Ashley Young, Phil Jones etc. Now is the time the action begins. All the back-ground dialogue between all parties has to come to fruition or you move on. Believe me, many players get to the brink of pen hovering over paper and they change their minds either through a last ditch phone call from a rival club to their agent offering improved terms or the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.

We all know the chequered financial history of our club and none of us want to go back there. The budget is tight we know that, and we will not break the bank on wages as that's when dressing room unrest begins. So, for instance, it's clear that The Manager would like Alan Smith to return. However, unfortunately, unless Newcastle are prepared to cover the majority of his wages for the remaining 12 months of his contract or they settle in one lump sum, that deal doesn't have a hope of being completed.

The Manager has pinpointed his targets and his fall-backs in case any of those deal stall. The Manager, the Chairman & Shaun Harvey are the only three guys who know the budget they are working within, the players they want to sign, the fall-backs and the agents they will deal with and trust.

Each tabloid prints names of players interesting Leeds (or any club for that matter) only from tip offs from agents endeavouring to secure the best deal for their client. Yes the Management team may have had tentative discussions with an agent over a certain player who in turn has had the same discussions with 6 other clubs, hence it does no harm to circulate the story.

Judging by the comments on this site the passion burns ever strong amongst all Leeds fans and the bottom line is we all want a strong team with solid players to progress. I would say, relax, have faith, and as he has said on many occasions 'don't underestimate the beard'

I ER

If it takes a couple of years then so wot we will get there so let's support our team through thick and thin. We are leeds and we all love Leeds so let's get behind the boys and give them the support and confidence no matter who steps on that field and wears the shirt of Leeds, get behind the boys and make them win. Ed... You're damn right we were cheated against loserpool, but look who they had to bring on by the end of the match, on that not Rachubka could be a good signing, helped Blackpool to two promotions, missed first part of last season due to injury but is willing to get back to premiership, we could do with a decent centre back to help back up the keeper bossing the defence...any ideas on who though? And please don't say woody, too injury prone for my liking, I'd take Sol Campbell but his heart isn't in the game any more... Alex Smithies should help in terms of keeper competition as he has proved himself time and time again for Huddersfield.

In Leeds we trust!! MOT {Ed015's Note - to be honest i dnt want woodgate, as a back up player he would be usefull but like u said, too injury prone for 1st choice, sol is too old, altho viera and sol could be a good choice, both have the experiance needed but doubt they have the legs}
