Here's the thing I noticed when we played Boro we passed the ball well and fed the ball out to the wings and got plenty of crosses in. On Tuesday at home the ball was hoofed ip the middle for Bechio tp try and head on to McCormack but they kept on doing it as though they didn't have any other play. Almost like they were afraid to play skilfully at home, because thet thought the fans want them on all out attack. But when they play away they seem to try to play and pass. Why is that ? With a crowd like ours they should want to show they can play
Very good point. i think its because there is much less pressure playing away from home. when you miss a sitter away from home you can forget about it quite quickly, but missing a sitter in front of 25,000 home fans can be a bit intimidating for the players
We have to take into consideration the pitch at Millwall. It's hard to play a neat passing game, especially out wide, for fear of the ball hitting a helluva divet and going out for a throw. I understood the need to play the long ball game. This time it won through! Cheers Lonners!
