Apparently someone called Terrance Vella or Villa was at TA yesterday discussing a potential move. Never heard of him but been told he's a young forward.

Believable10 Unbelievable36

{Ed013's Note - Terence Vella}

Stunning record at the Maltese first division, not did so well at the premier level. I don't think he's up to it but this is a random random rumour, probably has something to with Kebe, maybe someone looked up the Maltese national team and picked a player at random to link us with.

Average Maltese striker! the ambition is astounding!

isnt kebe from mali?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - He plays for their National team. I think he is French with some form of family background with Mali}

Sorry to be thick, but can somebody tell me the link between Mali, a West African country that Jimmy Kebe represents and Malta, a Mediterranean island that Terence Vella represents?

JDC

Agree2 Disagree0

Simples, kebe wants his villa terraced!

Agree3 Disagree0

I reckon its Carlos Vela :)

McCormack off to forest for 4-8 million, you heard it here first!

Believable8 Unbelievable45

{Ed013's Note - WOW, imagine up to 8 million for Ross}

I think he means 4.8 million

Agree1 Disagree1

Actually he meant 48 million

fawksey

Agree4 Disagree0

Or between 4 and 8 million lol

he actually mean 4 minus 8 in which we'd have to give them 4 mil and ross, similar to how we off loaded becchio, cause we got got nothing out of that deal and lost a lot haha mot

Agree1 Disagree1

So Ross has said he dosnt want to move and Leeds have said they aren't selling him and yet we have someone who knows better than both the player himself and the club

Maybe a Sam Allardice is a Jedi Knight

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm with you Ed -Ross is good, but he's not THAT good! Chapel A

if it was not for marcormacks goals we would be in a relegation battle he's scored 18 of the 35 which means without him we would have a total of 17 goal for this season and 35 against not good reading

Massimo was only allowed to purchase 7 days ago so D D could only start a few days back and he still lent money to help the club stabilise.
Please don't panic the future is White.
All will be revealed in a few days.

Believable16 Unbelievable42

Sorry but Survivor, if you read your post again it does not make any sense, the process is usually DD then a purchase.

No offence but your post holds no water. Ta!

Agree3 Disagree0

I think I understand what Survivor is saying. Normally a buyer negotiates to buy a club, carries out due diligence and applies to pass the fit and proper test.

Cellino, anticipating there may be problem has gone to the FL for approval first and now has to carry out DD.

However Survivor, if Cellino has bought the club or the vast majority of the club, that would make him a rival to Haigh's consortium. Can you explain please why Haigh welcomed him with open arms earlier this week?

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Cellino lend the Club money? Hadn't seen anything saying that. Know Sports Capital are supposed to have lent Club £6m.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Jan 2014 12:25:29
The takeover can not be completed for at least 7-10 days because of due diligence which is a problem as the window will be closed so to speak.
The new probable owners have already lent the board money in the last few days to complete a few new transfers.
Please stop panicking and support our great club especially at this time when one of our most famous heroes is about to be buried.
The great days are on their way back so cheer up and believe in Leeds United The Greatest in the Land.

Believable11 Unbelievable40

Due diligence was completed ages ago, it doesn't take this long and they would have just done top up DD from the last deal, consortium are short of money and are looking for investors.

Agree2 Disagree3

25 Jan 2014 13:04:18
They've had weeks, indeed months to complete due diligence, if they haven't completed it by now, they don't deserve to close the deal.
Most likely scenario for the consortium is that they've lost or failed to attract additional investors, hence the current stories re. The Italian.and the scrabbling around that appears to be going on now.

Agree2 Disagree1

If only we had the trust mot

But why did GFH make a statement to Bahrain Stock Exchange about selling of 75% shares in Leeds United.?

This resulted in increase in GFH shares on Bahrain exchange.

If sale of these 75% shares has not happened it's my understanding this would be very bad for GFH as Bahrain Bourse is far more strict in regulating businesses and how they conduct business than our regulation of company behaviour.

My reasoning tells me GFH must have sold the share the announced because they are familiar with Bahrain regulations and aware how this would be financially devastating if they were deemed to have acted dishonestly.

I'm not a business person, far from it so if anyone can put some more sense to what I'm trying to reason through look forward to comments.

PS Just wanted to add I'm as confused about what's going on as everyone else. Just hoping for positive outcome.

Agree2 Disagree0

The problem is the content of the D. D

We are in serious trouble without a very wealthy investor

Agree1 Disagree0

Sorry but Yeovil can play good football at this level albeit they are struggling, money doesn't mean everything, i'm sure we can find 11 players to pass a ball at least 6/7 times per attacking play. I'm not a pro and my side can pass a ball around no problem. So could those greek kids on youtube

Reports coming out that we have put a 5million price tag on McCormack and west ham are willing to meet this price just depends now if Ross wants to go.

Believable23 Unbelievable49

Sun says they have been put off by price

Agree1 Disagree1

Yh first bit true 2nd bit false

Agree1 Disagree1

The Sun report is probably rubbish, and the 2nd part is pure fantasy. Havent people got better things to do .

Agree1 Disagree0

Why not say 6m or 7m? This is just a guess by you really, who knows but every player has his price, I reckon about 8m and I would sell, in summer would get quality fwd, defender and holding midfielder for that

Agree0 Disagree1

8 million?ffs he's not worth 5 m, for goodness sake let's keep things realistic.he wont score goals in the premier league!he is not good enough.if we can get 5m, we should snatch their. hands off!

Agree1 Disagree1

Sell at 5

Agree1 Disagree1

I'd say 5mill at vaz te

Agree0 Disagree1

At least if he does go its not to norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say £3m and Andy Carroll for Ross McC
Seems about fair in my opinion

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed013's Note - Plus Nolan and Vaz Te}

True leeds all ways let the fans down

Agree1 Disagree1

We re talking about ross McCormack here he isn't a world beater and its doubtful if he's premiership class you can't blame the club if they accept 5 or 6 million its a good deal for us for a change but only if its re-invested in players and not to paying back haighs loan

Agree2 Disagree1

Find it funny how many of you lot on here say ross won't score goals in the prem let me just remind you of three players le fondre, holt and lambert all played in the lower leagues and scored double figures in prem so what makes you think mccormack cant.

Agree1 Disagree0

Becchio

Leeds reject bid for McCormack. Good sign of intent from the board. MOT

Believable39 Unbelievable12

I hope so but any savvy business would reject 1st offer. Time will tell on intent. MOT

Roma striker Marco Borriello is flying to London for talks with West Ham according to ssn. Hopefully this will mean no more bids from them for Ross

Agree2 Disagree1

Last time bids rejected for Ross, was when he started scoring freely, hope this time will be the same.

Agree2 Disagree0

The only intent is to get more money for him I'm afraid

Agree1 Disagree2

We are holding out for £5m according to reports.

Agree2 Disagree2

Just a matter of time I think. Just hope we will have time to get in a replacement, otherwise we are up a small river without an instrument of propulsion.

Agree2 Disagree1

Here we go Div one, I wouldn't blame the guy if he went . That board have no pride its shocking

Agree1 Disagree0

Not just a question of time to get replacement we also need to have owners who are willing to spend the money to bring in replacement/s. At moment not sure current owner (GFH?) will be willing!

Agree1 Disagree0

A I said before, it will take a huge sum to prize him anyway, meanwhile everyone on here was so certain he would be leaving for about £2million.

Cellino quoted 24/01 at ER telling staff that he now owns the club. Expect an announcement soon. BM not happy

Believable6 Unbelievable45

25 Jan 2014 09:43:49
cellino has said him self so many times he isn't part of the takeover and only in an advisory role why try and cause disruption amongst true fans

Agree1 Disagree0

3 reasons why it won't happen no1 He will not pass the fit and proper person test no2 He said himself not buying leeds no3 GFH would owe Haig millions if his take over failed. My guess is one off the consortia failed the test. Or the FL are not happy we're the money is coming from is correct and true.

Agree2 Disagree2

25 Jan 2014 11:51:09
Of course if his son ercole was part of haighs consortium all 3 of your statements go out the window!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think BM is not happy because he knows the new owners will bring in their own manager and that is why the transfer for the Brighton lad was cancelled

Agree0 Disagree0

What new owners if this take over does not go through mark my words ross will be on his way don't no what the hold up is belly the white

Agree1 Disagree0

It's pretty safe to say that someone in the consortium (not Haigh or Flowers) failed the test, and that may have been the chief financial backer. Cellino worries me, because everything I read about him suggests that he's a loose cannon.

Agree1 Disagree0

We have lived the last 10 years (most of which have been with the bearded one) looking on enviously at small average clubs overtaking us and us slowly going down so if cellino is the man to take over and gets us back into the promised land and keeps us there then I coulnt care less what he does off the field as long as it doesn't affect the the club.I want us back on match of the day because the football league show sucks ;)
