Hearing we are trying to get Vaz Te from the spammers, hope it comes off would be the best wide player in the division

Believable25 Unbelievable73

Hes a striker, so would not make best wide player.

Agree4 Disagree2

Played wide right for west ham when they went up. Played wide left for Barnsley the day he took the pi$$ out off all our back line very bad day. Just because he's a striker on FIFA doesn't mean it's fact. Better playing wide in a 4 3 3 formation though

Agree1 Disagree0

Are u mad what tom ince from blackpool he's miles beta and mark phillips at that point and i'm not even a blackpool fan

Agree0 Disagree1

Matt Philips pal

Agree0 Disagree0

A Headless chicken had one good season usually fails to deliver the final ball, from what I have seen of him let Wet Spam keep him! #MOT

Agree1 Disagree1

Matt Phillips won't be playing in championship next year neither will Tom ince

Agree0 Disagree1

Matt phillips has always been a quality player, jeeze some people are so jelous

Vaz te is a complete donkey! Played well against us at Barnsley and that is it! He scored a jammy goal for west ham in the play off final and that's it. Best wide player in the league? Give me a break!

Agree1 Disagree0

What about Mike Phillips, let's sign him.

Agree1 Disagree0

He won't be coming here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Say what you want about him fact of the matter is we just won't b getting him pl team and wages how can we compete cumon get real

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish he was coming to us but there's no chance whatsoever as we can't afford him even on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Ever since he spooned that goal a couple of seasons back and the ran back to the kop to celebrate I've hated him

Agree0 Disagree0

I would happily take Vaz Te -and can play wide. Chapel A

Heineken have paid us £250,000 to use Heineken in the East stand, and also towards other activities around Elland Road on match-day. Heineken have also got a private suite for the fans that have won the competitions to enjoy the game. So far this is all the facts I know yet, maybe more sponsorship to come?
-PJ

Believable33 Unbelievable14

This is good news, but us fans want to hear news regarding major investment which will help us get back to the premier league.

Agree3 Disagree1

25 Jul 2013 21:51:34
The haven't paid us 250k, they've spent that on the kit to pour quicker pints! And the executive suite is the viewing lounge in the south stand.

You've read the OS like the rest of us

Agree5 Disagree1

Maybe you should read the article again mate.
They have invested 250. 000 in bar equipment to reduce service time.
They haven't given us anything.

Agree2 Disagree0

They have not paid us 250,000 they have invested that amount in updating the bars to serve the fans quicker. Trevo

Agree0 Disagree0

Fosters worst lager going sweet tasting p#ss water least a decent cider. And that big RED star on the Heineken branding will go down well! Lol

Agree1 Disagree1

How I mean is that the revenue we will get from sales on match-day will be alot!
-PJ

Agree0 Disagree0

You really don't know what you are talking about do you. They spent 250k on replacing beer pumps etc to fast delivery pumps, they didn't hand over the money.

Agree2 Disagree0

The club don't get revenue because bates sold the catering rights to compass for the next five years! that's been trousered

Agree1 Disagree0

"Fosters worst lager going sweet tasting p#ss water least a decent cider. "

You obviously are easy pleased, must be one of the worst ciders I've ever tasted.

Agree1 Disagree0

Bet you wish you hadnt posted that buddy?

More information about the Red bull sponsorship. As Leeds united do not currently own the Elland Road stadium, my connections have told me that Red Bull will buy the stadium back for us, then the stadium will be called the Red bull arena. Also I have been told that they wanted to buy into the name as well but I am unsure if the club want to let that go ahead, personally I would be happy for that to happen, what do you think?
PJ

Believable43 Unbelievable29

Needs to happen ASAP

Agree4 Disagree0

Of course not -it doesn't happen, nor should it, in this country. We've already covered it on here -Manchester Ethihad, Arsenal Emirates, Newcastle Direct. ? Don't be so ridiculous. Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree1

Not allowed to happen in England unless a company buys a club and starts from non league.

Agree1 Disagree1

Of course it can happen! Like I said, I am not sure about the Naming of the club but it would be great to have Elland Road changed to The Red Bull stadium/arena.
-PJ

Agree1 Disagree2

If they touch the name or the badge or the white kit there will be hell on

Agree1 Disagree1

Red bull don't sponsor clubs, they move in and completely suck the soul out of clubs . If you want lufc to become lrb. They obliterate a clubs history, no consideration for the sensibilities of the fans or local communities generally. Be careful what you wish for.

LLHB MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

For those claiming a new owner can not rename without dropping out of the football league a reminder - MK Dons! However there may be league rules banning commercial naming of a club, (eg Leeds Red Bull). They hit this stumbling block in Germany but got round it by naming the club 'Rasen Ballsport Leipzig' which translates as lawn ballsports - which quite frankly means nothing but it meant they could call the club RB Leipzig. As for the kit and badge all of their clubs wear exactly the same kit with identical badges. Hopefully the deal is for stadium rights only

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure the FA's rules regarding renaming of a football club were changed to prevent it ever happening again in Britain after the Wimbledon/MK Dons fiasco.

Cardiff City are the most recent case where a takeover has resulted in an upheaval of traditions and cultural qualities within a club (now play at home in red - not their traditional blue; had their badge changed;). But the name has not been changed!

I live 20 miles from Cardiff, so most of my mates are "Bluebirds" (or RedBlueDragonBirds if I want to annoy them) who swore never to attend another game when the changes were made (yet most of them still bought a season ticket). They were adament that it tore the life and soul out of the club. Others were all for the change and over the moon at having investment that could fulfil their Premier League ambitions.

I was happy as a pig is s**t at all the upheaval, they are to me the only team that par with the Red Scum. I'm eating huimble pie now!

What I'm saying is, I'm sure the name cannnot be changed, but if we do have significant investment, I think I'd be willing to compromise on kit colour/stadium name/badge change in lieu of Premier League football.

Wots everybody moaning at? Is there any concrete evidence of red bull even wanting to buy elland road or into leeds?

Agree0 Disagree0

Find it fairly shocking that most Leeds fans would sacrifice decades of Leeds United/Elland Road history for a quick fix to our current financial situation.

Strongbow returns to Elland Road! Let the good times for leeds return!
-PJ

Believable45 Unbelievable5

Yeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssss! I've tried not to be pessimistic, cynical or sarcastic. but come on!

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously is this actually good news if so can someone explain why?!

Agree2 Disagree0

Good news, but us fans are more concerned with major investment so that we can improve the team/squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

Give gfh a chance for god sake to many fans are to quick to jump the gun on them there building this club back slowly but surely patience is needed

Agree2 Disagree0

Sarcasm? Or are you happy because you really like cider ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably the worst cider in the world.

I love real ciders, Stronbow isn't one of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats it I have had enough. Why is it always lager (pish) and cider (sweet pish)

I will not be going to Elland Road until we have been sponsored by a decent ale.

Theakston's would do nicely lol

Only joking, no doubt I will have a few John Smiths as usual unless Billy's has anything better

Agree0 Disagree0

Hardly huge news if bein honest.

Agree1 Disagree0

Give the owners a chance will you they have done well so far in my opinion rome wasnt built in a day

Agree0 Disagree0

No Rome was indeed built in many bloody decades even centuries. but I for one don't want to wait that long for Leeds United to be in the Premiership.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who said owt about waiting that long to get back in the prem best thing we can all do as fans is get behind the manager no excuses not to be there for the brighton game

Leeds not to sign anyone until any of the Leeds players leave the club which looks very unlikely for now.

Believable49 Unbelievable8

Did we all not know this?
I personally think that we will try to get Mills in b4 next week but because we have been taken over by a bunch of tools, we probably won't.

LUFC KEK

Agree2 Disagree1

Leigh Bromby has just left the playing staff!

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't even know he was still playing staff, totally forgot about him. Don't think I want to know who else we still have on the books as playing staff.

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it any wonder gfh keep quiet when all fans do is abuse them stop slagging the owners of and start getting behind this great club we need the fans back at elland road

Jamie Mackie has handed in a transfer request at QPR - looked quality going forward in the Prem when he got his chances. Would love to see Big Mac have a go for him

Believable27 Unbelievable17

Probably going to forest

Agree4 Disagree0

I don't think Mackie will come to Leeds to play with Diouf

Agree3 Disagree1

Defo won't be joining us after what happened between him and diouf

Agree1 Disagree1

I'm guessing that he would cost 2m+ so unlikely

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry but he's to good 4 leeds

Agree3 Disagree1

As mentioned won't come here because of diouf and as we all know deadwood needs to be moved on before anyone else comes in.

Agree1 Disagree0

£500 k nailed on to go to Forest.

Agree0 Disagree2

Think you will find he wants to sign for a famous team

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wanted to sign for a famous team then why has he signed for florist

Leigh Bromby has retired due to a knee injury on medical advice, source - TV. does this count as part of the rumoured 1 out 1 in story? MOT

Believable28 Unbelievable6

I doubt it counts towards that, I though he was already just a coach without playing anyway

Agree1 Disagree0

It would release his wages at least.

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with the 1st reply, would imagine his wages have been downgraded now he, s not playing to his new role of U 16, s coach.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like to say thanks to bromby=always came in and did a good job for us. {Ed013's Note - The goal he scored at Stockport was class}

Leeds United have reportedly enquired about the availability of 6 ft 3 in Tom Pope from Port Vale.

Port Vale are looking for £150,000 for the striker.

Believable8 Unbelievable40

25 Jul 2013 12:39:31
but why? we have a target man in big Smithy? so doubt it

Agree1 Disagree0

I doubt this very much and also sincerely hope not. He has had one decent season and is already 27. We have Matt Smith for his style of play and I'd rather play Varney every week.

Agree1 Disagree1

Port vale want more than that for him

Top scorer in all of the English leagues they want at least 400,000 apparently

Agree2 Disagree1

Im all for giving players from the lower leagues a chance but with tom pope he simply cannot play above league two

Agree2 Disagree0

To target men humm thought we were moving away from hoofball?

Agree2 Disagree0

Doubt this rumour highly but, to those who fear hoofball; hoofball still has its place in the modern game and if you're under pressure, away from home protecting a slim single goal advantage, you want a big guy up front to win headers and ease that pressure. Much as we all hate it (and have suffered more than enough of it, thanks Neil), it is still worth having that option on the bench because at some point in every season, we will need it. Can't see it being our only plan this season. Brian's going to get that midfield passing and overlaps on the wings making space for some quality crossing onto Smithy's head.
