Why all the hatred towards Billy Paynter. He only scored 1 goal but only started 8 matches, also was used as a very late sub in most of his sub appearances and they were when we were ahead. Hes a big strong player up front that plays well as a target man. Get the ball up to him and let him hold it up and bring other players like Gradel, Becchio, Snoddy into play etc. Good passer of the ball, not the most technical player but why get rid of someone like this. At least Grayson agrees with me on this one.

Believable18 Unbelievable9

I know hes not set the world alight but he did have a bad injury
nobody could be worse than raul "Juliet" bravo, roque junior or Tomas brolin in a Leeds shirt aaaargh

Agree0 Disagree0

He's slow, he's immobile, he cant or wont jump for a ball, he doesn't pass the ball particular well, and he looks like he smokes forty a day (before a match). I have no idea why on earth you would want to partner him upfront with Becchio.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have seen Paynter over a number of years. He is very poor. SG has to support him he brought him in. Yet another error.

Agree0 Disagree0

Which number of years is that then his goalscoring rate increased year on year, hit 20+ before we signed him, got injured didnt get a proper preseason, I hope he stays I think we will see the best of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paynter showed his quality with his finish at Preston he just needs to get a good pre season and am sure he will show what he can do more than once next season. Great deception from grayson

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at his record with Hull. Let Swindon down at the end(play off final). Even Kandol would be a better option. Paynter did well against our defence but then so did everyone else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has only had 2 10+ goals seasons in his career. Only 4 goals scored in 54 championship appearences. Need I go on?

Agree0 Disagree0

3 actually and two of those were in his most recent seasons, and its hard to score 10+ with no preseason and even harder if you dont have 10starts so yes go on

Agree0 Disagree0

Suppose we should get rid of ross aswell based on your logic

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack scored 20+ at Cardiff then scored 2 in about 6 appearances for Leeds, he should stay.

Leeds want man utd keeper tomas Kuzczak to replace Schmeical.

Source...daily mail Manchester....

Believable13 Unbelievable6

25 Jun 2011 23:09:52
Kuszczak to arrive as No1 as soon as Kasper deal is completed. {Ed015's Note - He is interesting West Brom as Carson is going abroard}

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Yes Ed but i believe the Manc's would prefer a loan deal and WBA want a permanent signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 22:36:52
Max gradel is interesting David gold of west ham, wouldn't be surprised if they put a bid in.

Believable7 Unbelievable14

25 Jun 2011 21:59:48
Someone called Fourth Official on Twitter is saying we're in talks with West Ham over Max Gradel

Believable9 Unbelievable14

On a saturday? Bates and his cronies do not work on weekends especially in the off season....

Nick Montgomery is leading the exodus of top earners from Sheffield United.

The Blades midfielder has agreed a move to his hometown club Leeds.

Montgomery, 29, will complete a swap deal next week involving striker Billy Paynter.

Believable16 Unbelievable12

Heard this six months ago, was doing work at montgomeries house he said he wanted to move last season but his club wouldn, t sanction it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Turned us down last summer when on a Bosman. He can ''do one to be honest.

Keep off graysons back he is best young manager in england what can he do with ltd resources if anything he needs to resign before we ruin his reputation or should I say bates does your doin a top job simon were lucky to have youi

Believable22 Unbelievable7

I agree he's a great manager, but the whole Schmeical saga has left a bad taste.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real Grayson isn't the best you manager in England, past his sell by date at leeds not top by xmas good bye Grayson

Agree0 Disagree0

yet another example of these overexpectant leeds fans out there

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds to sign Brad Guzan next week as replacement for Kasper Schmeichel. Lichaj not coming though, all part of Delph's move

Believable9 Unbelievable13

All part of Delph's move? What rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Why... We will get tomasz kuszcazk... whatta load of rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Max kruse has turned down a new contract with fc st pauli, he is now available on a free and has been linked with a move to leeds utd.. {Ed015's Note - This rumour has been around a while now}

Believable15 Unbelievable4

Were does he play? Some people saying he is a CM other people are saying a wide-man

Agree0 Disagree0

Were does kruse play?

Agree0 Disagree0

Kruse is similiar to smith in that he can play at cm or at strike, he can cross as good as snodgrass and can strike a ball as well as nunez and he's only 23! so he would be a quality signing! Hope we get him
source: watching him on YouTube and from a friend who follows the bundesliga

Agree0 Disagree0

He sounds quality. SG and Santa sign him up

Agree0 Disagree0

Check him out for yourself and see what you make of him. My mate says he is really good and said about his crosses and shots but there are only a couple of vids on youtube of him. So maybe they were one-offs but then again so was bradders' goal against arsenal!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 19:15:33
If the Monty rumour is true could b a good deal just the holding player we need. Still would like 2 give Billy at least a pre season 2 show wot he could do. Missing fitness cost him when he signed and remember he ripped us apart when he played 4 Swindon in League 1
I expect alot of transfers happening in next 2 weeks
Keith LUFC

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Alot of players rip us apart lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Not hard to rip our back four to pieces is it

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a general vote here - Who thinks that all the people on here calling for Grayson to get sacked are not true Leeds fans and don't understand that the club needs stability. And by sacking Grayson that is the complete opposite of stability.

Click believe if you agree.

Believable36 Unbelievable10

Stability is only good if the right man is in charge. The Germans were stable for years under Hitler do you think that was good. Grayson had all year to sort out that back four but he failed

Agree0 Disagree0

I must say that I agree with both the above statements, however I would hate the thought of a new man coming in with new ideas, tearing up the heart of the team when really the defence is the only real problem and it not working, true in this day and age if Grayson was to fail to get it sorted this season then I would probably agree that a change of direction is needed, but for now, i say stick by him and see what he can deliver this coming season.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 18:46:13
Montgomery is a done deal and will be announced next week. Not sure If Paynter is off there too. We can only hope though.....

Believable15 Unbelievable5

I hope not he was 1 of there worse players last season and they went down not 1 sheff utd fan i ve spoke 2 has a good word 2 say about his football abitity

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 17:08:15
nah i cant believe it lads its vito mannone..:(

Believable9 Unbelievable10

No its not, its Ian Turner

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 17:05:07
anyone calling for Grayson being sacked need to take a long look at themselves, call yourselves leeds fans, get a grip!

Believable27 Unbelievable8

Completley agree he has done wonders, without him we would still be stuck in League one with a trip to Steveanage to look forward to! {Ed015's Note - Woo stevenage.... Quality day out! haha}

Agree0 Disagree0

There's only one simon grayson! he's been a great manager i agree with you a hundred and ten percent. He stated he was after another keeper before kasper's link with leicester and to make kasper 2nd choice keeper!

Agree0 Disagree0

Simon is the new don revie, he needs time and lets stay in this division for a while and then make our leap {Ed015's Note - i wouldnt go that far}

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 16:20:13
Click agree to grayson out disagree grayson in. I want him out he has lost the plot. Leave now before you get sacked.

Believable14 Unbelievable46

U having a laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

The transfer window isnt even open yet. Pull ur head out of ur arse. Grayson is a leeds fan. He will do wat he sees best for the club. Name 1 bad thing hes done this summer ?? Cos he certainly dont deserve to be sacked for finishin 7th last season! MOT!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

The season has not even started, there is plenty of time to buy new players and shift dead wood

Judge both Bates and Grayson at Christmas
on our performance and league postion.

There needs to be more patience on here

Agree0 Disagree0

Shut up you moron, how can u possibly want to sack him after promotion in his first full season and our performances against massive teams , oh wow he sold kasper, get over it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it is u woop {Ed015's Note - officially open on 1st july}

Agree0 Disagree0

What the hell are you onna about get agrip

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe I am even going to make a comment about this as it is so ridiculous for words, go back a couple of weeks before the Schmeichel thing came up there was barely anyone wanting Grayson out (Bates yes but until someone better comes along to invest Bates is what we have got so lump it) but regards to Grayson, he got us out of league one in his first full season in charge and narrowly missed out on play-offs to the premiership in his second, just because he has decided to let Schmeichel go people jump on the band wagon just because they like Schmeichel, Leeds Utd needs stability, not chopping and changing managers every couple of seasons when some fans want instant success. If selling Schmeichel means we could possibly hang on to Snodgrass and Gradel and bring in someone half decent to replace Kasper then I'd say its a good deal for the football club all round, just give the guy a break

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson is a great manager ur not a true Leeds fan mate stick buy him he will prove you wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

You are a prat grayson out not a chance, we need him he will get us up to the prem, look how long it took howard to get us back there.You are talking poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Agree0 Disagree0

More time grayson has the better the players will get and ken will put more money in but if you sack him we have to start over again and a new manager would sell snoddy for 4million so we lose the better players . we have a good squad and that will be added to soon so give simon time and no dobt we will be back and when we do you will be like hes fantastic so stop moaning give him time

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 15:58:31
ken bates to sell leeds! pleaseeeeeee! we won't bring any big players with him in charge.

Believable20 Unbelievable18

We did do okay last season with freebies but i agree this season we must buy atleast one player, hopefully a defender or/and a midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

I 100% love leeds united... have done all my life... i personaly feel what bates and grayson are doing at the moment is nothing more than a great job however i do agree to push for top 2 or even top six we do need to invest a few million in players not one new boxs in the family stand and what happened to the delph money ?

Agree0 Disagree0

What kind of leeds fan are you? {Ed015's Note -

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 15:35:56
Shay Given coming on loan to Leeds next Monday/Tuesday with an option to buy if were promoted...Watch this space....M.O.T

Believable24 Unbelievable24

We'd only pay about 10% of his wages if that's true, can't see it happening. {Ed015's Note - Man city would probably pay most of the wages like they did with Bellamy and Cardiff.... not like they dont have the cash}

Agree0 Disagree0

NEVER GUNNA HAPPEN. he has premiership sides probably keeping tabs on him. he'd be awesome at the likes of bolton or fulham. even the newly promoted teams will be looking at him. yeah he's garunteed football at leeds utd. but is he will to drop a level. i honestly think not. {Ed015's Note - He is a top keeper and for that reason city have already said they wont sell to a rival team}

Agree0 Disagree0

Believe it when i see it

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems about right - He can play regular football and collect his fat wage, but if he got a transfer to another club they would pay him less than City

Agree0 Disagree0

That's true Ed015 didn't think of it like that, keeper shirt sales would go up too, think it's on the cards? {Ed015's Note - it probably wont happen, but never say never, }

Why the he'll are so many people getting on Alan Smiths back - the guy is on holiday , has made no comments about coming to Leeds , donated his signing on fee to help Leeds out when he left but a lot of people seem to be on some sort of hate bandwagon-if he comes back he's on a loser from the start with some fans and if he chooses to go elsewhere so what - I don't understand what all the fuss is about , get a grip and just wait and see

Believable30 Unbelievable3

Absolutely agree! there's some seriously short sighted angry people on here! to be honest as much as i support Smudger I wouldn't blame him for telling us to get lost if this page was indicative of the fan's views of him - thank goodness we're not all sheep ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Your dead right it wasnt his fault he had to go, am sure if the situation had been different he would have been a Leeds player for the whole of his career, if he comes back and i mean IF as long as he gives his all which we all know he will when he pulls on the white shirt, we will all be singing his name again, MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the smith rumour a possible smoke screen for micheal johnson ?? {Ed015's Note - It it possible. both would be nice}

Agree3 Disagree1

I must be insane to keep replying to abuse about smith but it's just red rag to a bull it drives me up the wall I'm all for disagreeing but it's just ridiculous the level of hatred. An ex colleague and fellow White said not too long ago shed punch him in the face if she saw him and she meant it. I didn't dare tell her I disagreed! absolutely insane but there you go
I dislike bates but I wouldn't punch him, can't stand Gary Neville but it'd be beneath me to kick him where it hurts
ah heyho

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes and he's made absolutely no comment about even possibly returning or even wanting to return to Leeds. Him leaving a signing on fee has absolutely no proof. NEXT!

Agree0 Disagree0

You've certainly refreshed the page alot! Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate bandwagon, obsessed bandwagon their all dillusional, biased and OTT.

Agree0 Disagree0

You call are fanbase sheep? I think you need to go an support a passionless team without any pride then. Follow your hero elsewhere, we are a team, we dont worship individual players anymore. Have you learnt nothing from our O.leary/Risdale days?

Agree0 Disagree0

Insane? Why because people disagree with your views.....now thats insane. face it not everyone hero worships a past it ex players who wasnt that prolific the first time round

Max kruse of st pauli to replace neil kilkenny by the end of next week

Believable31 Unbelievable9

I heard this a month ago..seems to be taking a long time?

White Lightning {Ed015's Note -

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldn't really work as a direct replacement for Killa though. Kruse is more of a wide player that likes to get forward and run into space. More akin to Gradel or Snoddy.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2011 12:05:13
No transfer fee equates to higher weekly wage

Believable11 Unbelievable1

25 Jun 2011 11:01:06
The keeper expected to join Leeds United next week, as first choice stopper, is Chris Kirkland

Believable14 Unbelievable27

Kirkland shops at my work and he says he has had no contact with leeds but would be interested! {Ed015's Note - Would be a good replacement. has the expericance}

Agree1 Disagree2

I just dont understand why Kasper has to go? The reason we shipped so many goals was the entire defence and I have not heard KB mention any of them not being wanted at the club! He is one of our best players and one for the future!

Agree0 Disagree0

Great so that means rachubka is our new number1 with kirkland playing the odd game when not injured, fantastic news can't believe si would be that stupid

Leeds United are to sign Nick Montgomery next week in a swap deal with Billy Paynter!

Source: The Sun newspaper

Believable26 Unbelievable25

Cool man just hope monty does better

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want him...he had the chance last season....so called Leeds fan rubbish...enjoy L1 your avergae at best

Agree0 Disagree0

Great swap. They're desperate to let Nick Montgomery go and it leaves room for us to bring in a striker, perhaps a premier league loanee youngster who needs experience :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Beleve when i see it

Agree0 Disagree0

Beleve when i see it

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't SG say last week that Billy was not going {Ed015's Note - he sure did, }

Agree0 Disagree0

He might again have seen an offer that's too good to turn down. Getting Monty all depends on whether we get Smith and Bowyer or not IMO

West Ham striker Zabon Hines would be a great signing! Grayson shown interest in him.

Leeds are ready to sign keeper, Iain Turner on a free transfer.

Believable16 Unbelievable27

Check the mirror site its on there, do u know if hes any good?

Agree1 Disagree1

Not true

Agree0 Disagree0

An allright no2 or 3!! hope it aint true

It does say this in todays Mirror, that does not always mean it will happen though {Ed015's Note - I can belive it tho}

how could we afford Michael Johnson if we can't even afford Alan smith even if we want him?! lol lol I love this site

Believable7 Unbelievable20

We Can... If we get sell outs time to time we would be able to afford these Players... don't forget we have had many players out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Season long loan, man city pay wages?

Agree4 Disagree0

Take your point lol and city aren't as penny pinching as mike cashley ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I hope we get him on season long loan with a possibility of a full time contract, also on Michael Johnson's wikipedia page it says.
"On 19 December 2010, Johnson claimed that he wanted to join the club he supports Leeds United on loan in order to rebuild his career." So hopefully he will be interested in coming to Leeds. {Ed015's Note -He had stated last season that he was interested, would be a good addition}

Just a note on the person who said the westcountry is a 'football wilderness' well Im from the westcountry and we have 4 proffesional football teams exeter, plymouth, torquay and yeovil all in the football league. Yorkshire has god knows how many football teams ALL in the football league!! So where is the REAL football wilderness??. Down here we dont really count Bristol part of the westcountry I should add. Don't mean to say that I don't want Leeds promoted ofcourse i do just feel like I should stick up for my region. were allways getting taken the piss out of down here!!

Believable5 Unbelievable15

Rumour has it that Kilkenny waived his signing on fee in favour of a 1976 top of the range combine harvester previously jo Wurzels...

Agree1 Disagree2

I'm from the West Country too and we DO count Bristol as West Country, you're obviously just trying to show off in front of the northerners.

Agree1 Disagree0

Leeds, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Bradford, etc.

Footballing Wilderness in Yorkshire my b*llocks

Agree2 Disagree0

Showing off??? hahaha yeah obviously mate! well I dont count
Bristol as the Westcounty. My Uncle and Nan come from Bristol and they don't count themselves as
Westcountry. As for the other comment, well, point proven.

Agree0 Disagree1

Not surprised you get th episs taken out of you in west country. Have you been there - never mind football wilderness...its a sporting wilderness. Matey I think you need Bristol just to get a look in. PS Kilkenny is sad going to BC - may as well have gone to Torquay!!

Leeds United are being linked with a summer move for former Liverpool starlet Victor Palsson.

The Anfield academy graduate failed to make a first team appearance during his time with Liverpool, joining Hibernian on an 18-month contract after a brief loan spell with Dagenham & Redbridge.

After just six months in the SPL, Championship clubs have been alerted to the 20-year-old defensive midfielders availability, with Leeds United boss Simon Grayson part of the chasing pack.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is also keen on the Icelandic U21 international, according to talkSPORT, with the Saints boss looking to strengthen his squad at St. Mary's ahead of their return season in England's second tier.

Palsson joined Liverpool in 2009, with Rafael Benitez bringing the player to club from AGF in Denmark.

I want to be LEEDS Number one
Paul Rachubka has vowed to establish himself as Leeds United's first-choice goalkeeper after becoming the club's maiden summer signing. (YEP)

Believable17 Unbelievable7

He cant be any worse than schmichael

Agree0 Disagree1

He can and he is. God help us if he is No 1. rather keep paynter and put him in goal. {Ed015's Note - he has the ability to be a championship number 1, but as a premiership keeper he isnt at that level, leeds need a keeper who is top of the league quality due to our dodgy defence}

Agree2 Disagree0
