It's hard not to get too carried away with this! We still have players to come back to strengthen defensive options, we have options in attack and we have money to spend! Really pleased for Alioski today to get a goal, great for his confidence as well. Profession leadership at the club and a quietly confident coach and an international break to settle everyone in!

And we are getting players in for the future, young talent not only in first team but youth squads as well. It is our time i think.

His record is poor at best! Sure as hell hope not! We have got to go get a proven forward who knows the English game, plus a good loan signing. Ings on season loan and oliviera for me.

Oliviera for me, will at least stop him scoring against us. We need someone who can score in this league. Why not try Matt Smith again? Although would be fit into the pattern we want to play.

Interesting one this, doesn't seem a world beater but tracked by Man U, Ajax, Napoli, Celta Vigo and Real Betis up till very recently (£7.5m price tag at that point) which suggests that maybe he could be a shrewd signing for £1.5m. Only 14 goals and 10 assists in his last 46 (ie a champ season) but if you take away last season (wonder if he had a couple of injuries because he didn't play the whole season, maybe unfit as a result too) he hit 18 with 18 assists in 46 which is a bit more impressive. Before everyone panics about an unknown striker leading the line, are we sure this isn't another signing to be instantly loaned to Cultural rather than the starter for us?

Whats to panic about? we have 9 goals in three games without Wood. Do we really need a big target man? we are playing better, the goals are more spread out. Ekuban, Grot look useful, Roofe is scoring and what's to stop us confusing everyone and playing a false 9? we have so many options now we don't need to rely on one dimensional football. The Swedish guy may not have a prolific record but that doesn't mean he can't do a job. Roofe could get 15, Saiz 10 to 15, Alioski 10 and Grot and Ekuban a few each. At this point i'm really not concerned about not having a Chris Wood double

Maybe just the type of player we need at this point in time. With Ekuban and Grot showing potential and Roofe scoring goals we need someone who is grateful to get a game (when he does) and otherwise is happy as a benchwarmer.

I'd like to see the money spent for the sake of the fans, because I'd like somebody proven. But similarly performances of late are making me think we don't need to worry about a new striker. I think we'll regret it though if the goals dry up and we don't have an out and out number 9
