Bates is trying to bring in Roberto Di Matteo as new manager, but the Italian wants to finish the season with Chelsea first.
Can't see that happening. Why would he want to leave a club with money to burn where he can be part of something historic to scrabble around the free transfer market twice a year for a fifth of what they're paying him at Chelsea? Of all the realistic names I've seen here he's the one I'd most like to have, but I can't see what his motivation for taking the job would be.
In Grayson we trust. Not the same for mr bates.
In Grayson we trust. Not the same about mr bates.
Yes !! In Grayson we trust, if we're happy in championship mid table
Di Matteo is not happy being No.2 at Chelsea and does not get on with AVB. He is seriously considering his position and the challenge of rebuilding LUFC is tempting him.
In grayson we trust? I trust him to continue being inept. For three years I've said he is not the right man for Leeds. We need stability but only with the right man in charge.if grayson was a man he'd resign
In reply to the first response. He may have ambitions beyond being someone elses assitant. Not saying that he will come to us just offering a reason why he may look to go elsewhere at some point despite all the reasons you ofered.
After watcing derby game the sooner we have a new manager the better ,hurry up ken
I have stuck by SG, however as a season ticket holder our performances are getting worder every week. We usually get to Christmas and fall apart under SG.
Maybe a little cash and a manager with fresh ideas might drive us on in the second half of the season.
I am starting to believe that people who post "in Grayson we trust" are other team's supporters in disguise. If mid table mediocrity is OK for you, go and support Peterborough. Larry has either lost the plot or the dressing room - one or the other, either way it is not looking good for us this season if we continue to back him.
The above are obviously not Leeds fans. Please name another manager who would get so far in 3 years with such tight budget restrictions from bates!! You lot are clueless and not true Leeds fans. If Grayson had as much money as he wanted to spend he would definately be one of the best english managers in the world. {Ed025's Note - i think so too,,
I think Grayson has done a decent job given the fact he has had to rely on loans and perm transfers for little fee's and the wage cap in place at ER. My only concern with him has been some of his team selections and in match decisions. I think Maybe he could do with a more experienced number 2 for a bit of know how and guidance? If bates was to get rid who would we get to take the job on no one of note i reckon ? You only have to look at Forest and the Billy Davis situation and whats happened there since. {Ed025's Note - good sensible post that mate..
We were lucky to get promoted from league 1,only teams around us kept losing we would not of went up...simon time is up..colm ireland
