Leeds United close to capturing a midfielder to strengthen there chances of promotion with one of - Craig Eastmond (Arsenal) - Andrea Orlandi (Swansea) - Keith Andrews (Blackburn).

Leeds also look to strengthen the deffence, with the loan signing of Sebastion Bassong (tottenham)

Leeds also in talks over getting Howson back on loan till end of the season, as he is a doubt of any first team football this year at norwich.

tony wood (leeds leeds leeds)

Believable7 Unbelievable40

All sounded plausible till the last one. Howson will not be fit to play until the end of March. Lambert will introduce him slowly from mid end of April

Agree0 Disagree0

Bassong would be a decent loan player to bring in,but sure spurs would rather sell him

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont understand why norwich would pay money for howson when his contract was up at end of season, then loan him back to us til the end of the season...not sure about that one

Agree0 Disagree0

Was all sounding good until you mentioned Howson... lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Bassong would be a great loan signing, with King being a constant injury worry I'm sure they would rather loan Bassong out than sell him.

Agree0 Disagree0

You never know if source is reliable it could be part of the sale contract and if true no doubt it would start on Tuesday so captain birdseye saves a weeks wages

Agree0 Disagree0

If they waited until howson contract run out they stood a good chance of missing out. Norwich may actually fancy sending howson back on loan to gain fitness instead of risking playing him in prem league which would make sence .

Leeds to make an audacious bid for Craig Mackail-Smith in the summer, premier league football or championship football. Johnny Howson says he wants to end his career in a Leeds shirt.

Believable18 Unbelievable29

That would require a fee of atleast 4m which is around what brighton payed, so you can completely rule this out.

End of!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair howson did end his career at leeds, he's gone to norwich! lol

Agree0 Disagree0

CMS has 2seasons in championship- neither he has produced much!

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan smith said he wanted to play for leeds again ha all talk

Agree0 Disagree0

Why did he leave then ! He could have said NO !! couldnt he ? Or was a season and half in the premirership too big a pull ?

Transfers: New Bid in For Jelavic; Leeds Refuse £4M
Leeds have reportedly refused a £4M "test the water" bid for winger Robert Snodgrass from the Hammers this morning. They are looking for £6M. West Ham are countering. Perhaps £4.5M and Sears? Gj

Believable12 Unbelievable28

My Point is SHOULD we accept £6 Million for snodgrass ??
I think it's a good offer but would prefer Snodgrass to stay, what are your thoughts people Gj

Agree0 Disagree0

6 million in Bates pocket & a relegation battle, or our best player keeping the team winning games? tough one.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not about the money. It's about a statement of intent about our promotion chances. Selling him to another championship club is not going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

It will never happen, where do these rumours start from?

stop the panic

snodgrass will still be a Leeds player by the 1st Feb

Agree0 Disagree0

We refused 1.5 milllion for Beckford from Newcastle, and the promotion he helped us to more than made up for that.

Snodgrass is the key link in our team, and without him we are going nowhere....

Think abiout it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think about 5-6 mil is bates going to really miss out on this sort of money ,i doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

There must be players with as much skill as snoddy and for the similar amount of cash as we paid for him somewhere and if leeds think they have found this player they will sell

Agree0 Disagree0

HELLO, Robbie Rogers IN Robert Snodgrass OUT - it wouldn't suprise me!

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass came out the other day and made it pretty clear he intends to stay, almost certainly at the prompting of the club, so I really can't see him being sold in January. In the summer maybe, if we don't go up.

Agree0 Disagree0

West ham wanted Gradel didn't they and we're offering some rubbish payment plan over a long period of time.
Where have they suddenly got 4m from.
If Snoddy is going anywhere it will be to Prem or Spl.
6m is a good price though ! Could get 3/4 decent players with that..

Agree0 Disagree0

If Bates was to get 6million for Snodgrass expect Grayson to see 10% of that to strengthen the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

West Ham have offered £4 million for Snodgrass- Leeds want £6 million

Believable15 Unbelievable23

Yeah lets get 6 mill for Snoddy and use the money to get Smith back eh,wouldnt suprise me at all,get rid of our best player and get a has been back,Bates said no more top players leaving,so expect Snoddy to go in the next couple of days,Nice one Bates,

Agree0 Disagree0

Every bid West Ham make for players seems to get knocked back. they're probably all in add ons and performance related, so pay no notice to them.

Agree0 Disagree0

West ham always try to get players on the cheep .if we take 6 mil then i would expect us to get someone with the quality of billy sharp or jordan rhodes and a tricky winger .

Agree0 Disagree0

They had an offer rejected for Gradel because it was spread over so long. Won't happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass for leicester 4.8 million will happen tuesday guaranteed

Respouting guff from a hammers forum is a sign of low intelligence. Get on with your homework!

I agree we can make a difference on match days and its time we got behind our boys ... if we get behind the lads and beat the blues we really can kick on, buy your burgers and drinks outside the ground to minimise KB profits .. but leave your problems out there also and sing your heart out for the boys .... they need us as much as we need them .. let’s all pull together and I’m sure we can get back to the PL

As for Snodgrass, bid was rejected earlier on today from WestHam.
This was on twitter from a WestHam member of staff.......
Ed you heard anything??
Hope Leeds keep saying no {Ed020's Note - word on the street is they offered 4 mill for him}

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Leeds turned down £4M plus add ons from Norwich cant see them taking less than that offer, but again, dont think he is going anywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

The bid is exactly that "word in the street" I.e. there hasn't been one. Confirmed by a number of reliable Leeds sources

Parker has joined Carlyle on loan {Ed020's Note - true dat}

Believable22 Unbelievable3

Heard they showed him around and fist place was treatment room

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol! adios parker n dont bother coming back ya s**te!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Carlyle??? is that Robert Carlyle the actor?? Do they not do spelling tests anymore at school.

Just browsing and noticed on Danny Rose's wikipedia page it states he joined Leeds on a four month loan deal on the 24.01.2012? I know its wikipedia and anyone can edit the pages but not heard this rumour anywhere so a bit random... ed? {Ed020's Note - probably best if you stop looking at leeds players or potential players, cause wiki is WRONG lol.}

2 rumours from a very reliable source...

Leeds looking at either bringing in Apostolos Vellios on loan from Everton or the possiblity of taking Sam Boldock from West Ham if thye can agree a deal for Jelavic (which now probably looks quite unlikely).

i am told these are the top striker targets on Leeds' list...

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Thats right, 2 attackers!!! Are you Graysons brother? We can't defend for toffee(not an Everton pun)lets try to defend and get somebody in to get the ball to the forwards we have!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know why Everton would let Velios out on loan. They are not exactly brimming with striking options and he has got 2 or 3 important goals for them from the bench.

Simon Grayson in nightmare situation at Leeds
Read this article, it is bang on.
www.lifesapitch.co.uk/opinions/simon-grayson-in-nightmare-situation-at-leeds/ {Ed020's Note - typical journo, does'nt know what he's talking about and wrote an article on stats. clearly does'nt support or no much about leeds}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

He is right about the Bates attitude thats always been my gripe with Bates. {Ed020's Note - yeah i give him that}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed - that is exactly what my comment says on the article...complete rubbish!

I have read the comments below about supporting the boys and i agree ... after the game with the blues we have run of games that should give us a few points and whilst we are climbing the table the top teams have some much stronger games .... if we get behind our boys and give them a hand ! then i see no reason why we can’t be right behind the leaders .... lets raise the roof both home and away and give our lads a lift .... if we can get out of this league the papa smurf will be gone, he will capitalise on our good fortune and cash in .... so let’s all stop moaning and spend our efforts on supporting out team - MOT

Believable20 Unbelievable5

I can think of one obvious reason why not, the current squad simply isn't good enough. I think a positive response from the fans is right and it will help however that alone cannot make up for the deficiencies in our team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well put pal, i agree 100% lets all get behind the lads and march on out of this difficult league, and yes once we out Bates will be gone...M.O.T

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said that man. I want bates out, but when the players are on that pitch we need to support them, not sing anti bates songs. MOT

Stephen Dobbie to sign on loan from Swansea until end of the season with view to a permanent deal.

Believable18 Unbelievable15

Is he the house elf off of Harry Potter? Could come in handy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Be nice if this was true.... any source or u just made it up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think dobbie looking for a permanant move
as it appears not wanted at Swansea fallen down the pecking order

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard the same wants a permanant move in this transfer window, dont think it will take a massive bid to get him,but will kb part with the money

Agree0 Disagree0

Just heard from a sky sports rumour, probably bull

Leeds looking at Keith Andrews, the midfielder said he has no interest in returning to Blackburn

Believable24 Unbelievable13

I think there could be some truth in this, Keith did turn us down before however due to his basic wage demands,which as I understand was 7k per week off what he wanted. {Ed013's Note - He is back in training at Blackburn but expect him to move on permanently before deadline day. At least 5 clubs are interested}

Agree0 Disagree0

Still think he his out our reach regarding pay
probably finish up somewhere like reading who are prepared to pay silly wages

Agree0 Disagree0

If we can't afford him, then send Delph back to regain his fitness elsewhere. Would rather have Andrews anyday over an unfit Delph. Both however would be luvly jubbly.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would choose Ipswich over Leeds as he has done well there already this season... Ipswich also have a lot more money than Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

Also ipswich have said they will try to sign him.

Beckford not coming back as bates said he was offered to us last month!

Believable19 Unbelievable14

Bates didnt say he was not coming back, what it said was we where offered beckford last month. not once did he beckford wasnt coming back.
Also beckford agent is in talks with brighton, but he wants to go to leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

On loan? he is on 30k a week at least, can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree, Bates said he was offered Beckford, but im sure there would have been a snodgrass in the same conversation!

Beckford wont come back, no point when we have better strikers than him, he only has pace and as he gets older will lose it, at best he probably has 12 months at the highest level, so he could get us promoted then be surplus to requirements.

Obviously you have to look at his past, went to everton..they didnt rate him after they signed him so sold him for serious profit....onlt Leicester interested in him,,now they dont rate him as they are bidding for all strikers available, he scored a hat trick and yet they still dont rate him...why should we....come on stop living in the past..buy Maynard if anybody.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates said that we were offered Beckford last month, aren't we all glad we decided to keep Keogh and lose every game instead.

Believable15 Unbelievable11

Think it's more the fact he's on 35 grand a week

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford is on £20,000 a week, all bates said was we where offered beckford last month. he didnt once say that a deal was not on the table....

Agree0 Disagree0

And he can't play for us as he has already played for 2 teams this season {Ed001's Note - he can play if he comes in on emergency loan at least.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does this 'can't play for mjore than 2 teams in one season' garbage come from? Mike Grella, played for us, Swindon and Carlisle in one season did he not?!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can play for more teams, but, only if at least one is on loan, if you play for 2 teams as a permanent player, you can't sign for a 3rd and play, if the 3rd one is on loan, however, it is possible!

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought that Keogh was brilliant. Once he left, McCormack stopped scoring.

Agree0 Disagree0

We only started losing when grayson dropped keogh

Agree0 Disagree0

What I meant was that by keeping Keogh we couldn't really accomodate another striker even if we could afford him and I think Beckford would have given us a boost.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does nobody on this bloody page grasp the fact that jermaine beckford cant play for another club THIS SEASON, GET OVER IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell would leicester offer him to us if he couldn't play...we are not that short of ball boys

Agree0 Disagree0
