just heard from someone that neil warnock came within 20 minutes of signing 2 players on thursday but a problem with an agent scuppored one of the deals at the last moment, the other has agreed to wait until the end of the season to sign and has agreed a pre contract, the 2 players were paddy kenny (agreed end of the season deal)and the other is anton ferdinand..
How can he sign for us uner pre contract his contract runs until 2013 with paddy kenny, and ferdinand would be too much to buy and i doubt he would play for us
I seen this aswell and it says he missed out on 2 players but 1 player as agreed to join in the summer . there will be a fee for the players . warnock has also said some players will be leaving which some of the fans will not agree with,
lonergan could be 1 of these players to be off
I did hear he said something like this at the forum... He has always rated Lenny, however has stated he thinks lonergan is as good as any keeper at this level. Ferdinand must be on £30k per week... No chance!
I Know Paddy & he is on a lot more money than Leeds will ever offer him so why would he move, Warnock has taken him everywhere with him but just can't see his one........prepared to be proved wrong though !!
NW confirmed we were very close 'but for one reason or another' couldnt finalise it on the last day in the loan market.
Every club Ferdinand junior was with did s**t for the length of time he was there. He is over rated and not worth anything over $12k a week IMO. No thanks - next please.
