Im just passing on something before you shoot me down,my friends son works in Qatar and he rang him last night to say rumour round there was bates had sold(i can only presume to a qatari)just posting what i heard without prejudice,can only hope

Contract offered to free agent Nicky Shorey. However, highly doubtful we can match Leicesters offer. Will all depend on whether he moves for just the money or the football.

All this talk of a takeover must be rubbish, not one rumour has been justified by providing a reliable source. MLSE have distanced themselves on twitter, the Freddie Shepherd rumour is 4 years old and who are Pearson, Wilkinson and their mysterious Arabian backers? KB is onto a good thing at LUFC creaming off the profit year after year so why sell? Any potential investors with half a brain will not trust KB with their money either. Remember Abramovich had to pay KB off when he bought Chelsea, as Ken wanted to retain a seat on the board (ego wont let go) which is what will be the sticking point should any takeover bid happen at Leeds. I hope I'm wrong about all this.

Totally agree with original post! Well said, bates will hold on to our beloved club until he fills his pockets and leaves us with no assets we already don't own our stadium or training facilities, and by the end of this summer we will have none of our best players and just replaced with 2nd best players! The White Rose needs to be strong but without that grey haired gimp!!

Julien Faubert anyone? been released from west ham and we are in dire need of a RB. although west ham have a high wage bill so we may not be able to get near what he was earning there
