How on earth has Vieira not started that game, didn't TC learn from millwall? ! Needed some physical presence in the middle got bullied from start to finish Pablo, Klich, Dallas and Alioski didn't fancy it, too lightweight. We seem ok playing against teams who stand off and let us play our pretty football, but will struggle all season against teams who get in our faces!

Poor decision from cooper had all the time in the world to knock the ball out for a throw in. Baffled Lassoga didn't start also as he would of been a outlet and would put himself about and held the ball up. Absolutely dreading playing Sheffield united after the international break as unfortunately if we don't toughen up they will embarrass us at ER!

We just played Ipswich, who are also a physical team. Millwall and Cardiff will be different at home, as their fans won't travel and therefore it will be a different proposition. No point slating players, they have done well so far. Don't be surprised if Cardiff lose on Saturday, as is usually the case after playing us.

Cooper was a liability from the off tonight. I thought he'd got that eraticnes out of his game but obviously not. Pontus and Pennington with nessy and coops as 4th choice after his suspension.

4th choice! He has one bad game and goes from captain to 4th choice! He has been solid all season and the first chance you get to jump on him you do! If that would have been Pontus seeing red that comment wouldn't be made so give the guy a beak

We saw what we saw on a regular basis last season and as for 4th choice I'm saying he will have to fight for his place back and can't just walk in ahead of players who have done nothing wrong like nessy

Cardiff away was always going to be tough and i would have been happy with a draw but as it was we made it too easy. we have to learn not to switch off in these physical battles or this is what will happen. I wouldn't have started Hernandez personally and would have liked to see O'Kane and Viera or Klich in the middle rather than phillips for these contests, or maybe a different formation to incorporate all three. Pablo is a waste of time in these fixtures and might as well not be on the pitch until maybe later to take advantage of tiredness. can't understand why Lasogga didn't play as he would have been much better up top against a physical side.

With Martyn on this one Davey. Cooper started as 3rd choice anyway, only an injury to Pennington bumped him up, was really surprised he took the armband for this term. As for one bad match? nah mate, try 3 seasons of spotty form peppered with stupid mistakes.

Agree davey. Nothing against ness or penn but cooper deserves another chance. let's not live in yesteryear! One bad game is all. let's see how he comes back. If he comes back good then leep in if he messes up again then replace him. i'm more worried about the goalkeeper. He is a disaster waiting to happen!

i agree with you there Ausman - nothing about that keeper fills me with any confidence. Lonners in for me.

The only thing I like is the fact that he moves the ball out quickly, his kicks mainly go to players from the other side and his general saving is iffy . I also could not understand why we didn't start with Lassie.

Worried about it when we didn't sign another senior CB but just when I started to believe TC had fixed him calamity Cooper returns at the worst possible time. At fault for goals 1 and 2 for me and then to escape a straight red only to go in like that? We didn't play our best but one man cost us the game, can't have a captain that looses all sense like he did tonight.

It keeps creeping back into his game. I like nessy there as he listens to the Senior players around him and grafts but uses his brain and don't make eratic decisions

Agree Martyn, Pennington will almost certainly start the next game but starting to wonder if Jansson Shaughnessy might well be our best pairing going forward unless we pick up someone out of the free market, he doesn't seem to panic or do anything stupid.

I'm hoping the scouts were actually looking at someone else, he was a promising youth but never realised hi potential.

yes, big question mark over the lad. Tried it in Spain, tried it in Brazil and tried it in England. At 27 he is not a regular in the side - why? He was raved about by Wenger. Why did he move him on? I hope, if it is him, that the scouts can see him flourishing with Saiz beside him and Pablo to mentor him but again I am asking. Do we need another midfielder?
