Anyone know the score in tonights friendly?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Was 2-1 to BPA when I left with 15 to go. We were v poor, they were great. Was only when they had changed 6 players that we scored. Lonergan played - looks big & knows how to pick the ball out of the net

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we lost 2-1 great goalkeeper we got now lol lost to bradford park avenue lol

Agree0 Disagree0

2-1 watched it, absolute crap, hope the turners won't be playing any time soon, even the youth defenders r crap, we need new defense in the squad, how Grayson takes note

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down lads, remember it was just our reserves against their 1st team, and lonergan made some cracking saves, if we put him behind paddy and O'brien he'll be better than schmicheal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmmmm because it matters what happend in this match. The only one with any chance of playing in the first time is lonergan and from what i heard of a mate that went is that if it wasnt for him we would have lost 4 1. I am obviously just going off what what was said but give the guy a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Team was just youngsters though only first team player was lonergan. Game does not mean anything

Agree0 Disagree0

Lost 2-1, but we played mainly a team of youths to gain experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lost 2-1 played a young side , grella played and lonergan , but thats about it for 1st teamers

Cmon Simon buy a right back, center back and defensive midfielder. Hope villa will sell or loan us Eric again, still NEED a proven take no sh defender to comand the back 4 to make us solid at the back, hope Grayson is finding that man he said at start of the summer the defence needs sorting but we still havent sorted it, paddy is not the answer, still hope for a top defensive midfield, brown is good back up but want to see some1 slightly younger clingan is top signing in my eyes, if we got these 3 players to add to the squad we have now then I can see us with a shot at promotion, cmon Grayson n bates, don't have to bust the bank for these

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Mcfad's agent is based in Monaco ( who also represents McCormack and Amdy faye ) so may have mileage - would make sense if we can afford him to supply some firepower IF his knees has healed right ?

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Nah... Can't see Amdy Faye at all... McFad is a possibility though

Agree0 Disagree0

McFadden can play up front as well as midfield so fits kens clue, also he has plenty of quality. His fitness would be a concern but if definately fit we could not afford him. A trial would be great

Agree0 Disagree0

McFadden is quite self explainitary, because Birmingham need to offload players...

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been linked with a return to Everton, we'd never afford his wages anyway. If we could we wouldn't be signing rubbish players like Brown and offering trials to people like Samuel and unknowns.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like Alan Smith is wanting to see out his contract at Newcastle, he's wanted by Orlando but he's said he wants to stay put.

www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/07/25/alan-smith-being-targeted-by-orlando-city-61634-29112722/

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Hope the splinters dont hurt to much oh thats right his money will confort him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Feel for the Bracodes, what a money grabbing little sh*te. Id be ashamed to be paying a player like him such wages when he makes no contribution. What kinda players has he become, would have never thought that of him to be honest. Hes laughing at the Geordie fans, i hope they let him know how much hes appreciated this season Howay the lads give him some dogs abuse fella's

Agree0 Disagree0

You are just believing what Newcastle want you to believe, they are trying all they can to make Smithy go, including propaganda making him out to be a tight arse. You get so carried away by unsubstantiated reports in the media. Most people in the polls that I have seen of Leeds fans say they would like to have him back myself included, at least wait and see what he does before you ridicule him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm so glad he's not coming back. I'm a happy man now. He isn't good enough for us now.

LOT
Ls9

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like he learnt something while at the Scum then - How to become a money grabbing little turd

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm the one who posted this and I for one would love him back in a LU jersey but he's already told Orlando's manager he wants to stay put.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely re the last poster Alan Smith has said NOTHING officially and in fact the only media he's spoken to was in Orlando and his agent has said nothing. Let's chillax....

I reckon he'll definitely be put off for good with the amount of hate on here if they all turn up to the Nufc game. Boo, have a go, but at the end of the day we're not all blinded by unsubstantiated media stuff - doesn't mean he'll sign, just means sit tight and save your energy to support who are actually playing for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Most people in the polls that I have seen of Leeds fans say they would like to have him back
Thats because those interested in a move back are more likely to seek out such polls and find info on him possibly returning.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the hate puts him off, then he isnt determined to return and prove the doubters wrong, also to turn their opinion round by tellinghte 'facts' of his move. Says to me he isnt interested in a move back and the facts are already out there it would appear by his continued silence

From what I see theres one poster obsessed by his return and no matter how mnay times they post as seperate people claiming we're int he minority it wont become reality

Agree0 Disagree0

People in support of him claim we shouldn't read media info as facts yet they use it to back up their own agenda......Doh

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point. heyho My heads hurting more Bacardi required MOT lol got to see the funny side

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we want him back? He hasnt played for a long time, has had injuries, and is ten years older than when he was here. Its nostalgia, anyone who thinks that he could come back and make a contribution is deluded. We want to move forward, not back

Leeds United to sign Sammy Clingan and James McFadden by the weekend you heard it here first

Believable13 Unbelievable17

Mcfadden no chance another bullsh***er on leeds banter...Harry MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you heard it here first as well... when you were writing the post Would like McFadden though.

Agree0 Disagree0

We hear loads of things on here first, it's just that 99% of the rumours are bullS**t, just like this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some ppl are such t**ts. James McFadden went to blackpool last week. Reliable source youve got {Ed007's Note - No he didn't. He is currently a free agent.}

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance that Bates will sign Steve and Bryan McFadden

Agree0 Disagree0

McFadden is actually one of the more realistic ones here. He was released by a team that got relegated because of his injury troubles, and he needs to prove himself before any BPL teams come knocking (maybe some desperate promoted team only). He did play only five matches past season after all.

Also, he is a midfielder who can play upfront.

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes sense, especially after what KB said in his interview

Leeds to sign former West Ham player Thomas Hitzlespurger

Believable6 Unbelievable27

Linked with a lot of premier league clubs. Villa seems more likely. Can't afford him

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish we could sign "Der Hammer". Great left foot and thunderbolt shot with good pedigree. Reality is you know who wouldn't stump up for the wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good god man where did you get this rumour.. we would struggle to get Thomas the tank engine let alone Thomas Hitzelberger

Keith southern to join leeds before season starts grayson sees him as the ideal replacement for johnson and kilkenny watch this space

Believable11 Unbelievable22

I'm so excited I can hardly breath Plus I doubt it, He signed a contract extension at Blackpool at the end of last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so he's just what we need to add balance to our midfield. now we just need the villa lad back at RB, then a LB, then we'll be ready for the new season.

2 new Midfielders to arrive before the weekend.
Agents representing both players are meeting Bates in Monaco this afternoon both described by Bates as very talented and 1 can "also play up front".
Source Ken Bates on Yorkshire radio Today if you aren't convinced listen to white hot news on YR at 5.30 pm when they repeat the interview.

Believable16 Unbelievable3

Could zenden be a possibility still or has he signed for someone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Must mean on trial , don't think you say a deals done then meet agent, other way round meet agent then announce the deal .Tipical bates though one can play up front , no need to replace our injured or miss firing strikers , 3 for price off 2 unfortunate that players who are good in 2 different roles cost a lot

Agree0 Disagree0

I think one of them rhymes with Schmalan Schmith

Agree0 Disagree0

Mendy and Osbourne?
Or hopefully Quinn & Montgomery

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need any more attacking midfielders, howson played every game last season & even if he got injured Nunez can take his place, then we have 4 wingers already if Mendy signs. Defensive midfield & defence are the issues

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, we need a full back and a centre back, then we'll be ok. Hopefully Lichaj back from Villa (he didnt play today in their Asia Trophy match)
Connolly is poor, 5 out of 10 at best, anyone know what Ben Parker's injury is this time?

Agree0 Disagree0

Trialists.....dont get too excited its Ken were talking about here

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever Parker's injury is, he just doesn't have the quality that we need. I haven't seen anyone in pre-season who stands out at LB. Definately an area that needs strengthening

Agree0 Disagree0

Parker is pants anyway, be doing us a favour if injured, lichaj and someone like harte back

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought connolly did ok for first season think the left back is more priority- eric was ok there and is versatile.
Everyone still worrying too much about defence- with kiss back and a communicating keeper it'd be loads better.
It was our non-tackling midfield which was our main problem- brown could be the answer we needed

Agree0 Disagree0

Harte wasn't even a good left back at his best

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, with the person who mentioned our "non tackling midfield". This was a big problem last year, if you dont have some bite and control in the middle, you are always going to struggle. Last season we had plenty going forward, but once we lost it, there was no one to put a foot in and win it back, and give the centre halfs some cover. I think Brown is a shrewd signing, he has experience, control, will get a foot in and give the defence a bit of cover.

Agree0 Disagree0

re micheal johnson, come on we cant afford his wages. We would probably want to do a deal to pay a percentage of that, but then leicester or west ham will come in and pay the full amount. Simple. End of discussion on that one. MOT.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

The truth is we can afford Johnsons wages and many others that we have been linked with it is just that Bates will not pay them. We can afford to spend £7-8m on developing a stand we rent so we can pay we just won't MOT

Brian Deane to become Leeds Elite Development Director and focus on technical excellence at Thorpe Arch.

Believable6 Unbelievable16

Dont be so stupid, Donkey Deane, youre having a laugh {Ed045's Note - I think this should have been posted in Banter.. surely?? lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I post regularly to this site and generally attract agreement to my comments. For the author of this post to refer to Brian (Deane) as a donkey is not worthy of any Leeds supporter. There are a number of our current strikers that are not brilliant but should never be ridiculed as with all the past and present players that put in an honest shift. Nobody can say that Brian ever fell short of giving 100%. I coached him when he was a junior and a nicer lad you couldn't wish to meet.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take exception to the Donkey comments . We are currently paying top whack to watch a group of strikers who could only dream of scoring goals at the rate of Brian Deane. Deane did at the highest level and not in the depths of Div 3 Always gave everything for Leeds. Some respect deserved and owed I believe.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Brian Deane can be described as a donkey then tresor kandol can only be described as "technically disabled"

There are a longer list of donkeys well below Brian Deane Deano can only be held in the same categories as chapman, yeboah, hasselbaink and keane

Remember the 4 against QPR he scored? The header against scum? Wash your mouth out about "donkey Deane"

Agree0 Disagree0

What would we give for an in his prime Brian Deane now? Messi he wasn't, but a Donkey, certainly not. Perhaps some people should get out their old videos and they might be reminded that Deane on the ball was quite a skilful player

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian Deane deserves nothing but respect, pulled on that jersey and gave 100% scored at the highest level consistently..

Agree0 Disagree0

I would give paynter, grella and Mcormack to have an in form Deano Great at heading, strong, brilliant target man and could shoot Think you need to delve into some old videos to refresh your memory

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of our so called fans are so disrespectful they are a disgrace, I commented on here last week about the way they were treating billy paynter give it a rest you d---heads and show some respect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure Deane in same breath as Yeboah and Hasslebaink but he was no donkey

I don't remember a player who hit the woodwork so much though, however would love to have a player like him at ER now

Leeds lining up a move for Chinese forward Yang Xu from Liaoning FC.

He will cost Leeds 6.3m Renminbi (£600,000) and will sign on a 4-year deal.

Believable3 Unbelievable28

Where the hell have you got that from???? random striker from china? do we even have scots out there?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes there are quite alot of EX-PATS out there I think you will even find English, Irish and Welsh people in China...... DELINQUENT

Agree0 Disagree0

I had a quick look on Wiki. He's 6'2", 24, an international and interestingly he played against Honduras (and scored twice) back in March. So maybe Ramon did a bit of scouting? Be a good signing to spread 'the brand' ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting rumour... but what the hell is Renminbi? the currency of China is Yuan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Renminbi is the currancy of PRC (Peoples republic of CHina).

Sign him up...why the hell not He's his countrys number 9 and everybody loves a bizzare random foreign signing. its why we all love Nunez

Agree0 Disagree0

According to Wiki Renmimbi is the official currency of the Peoples Republic of China and the main unit is the Yuan. Perhaps reference to the little known Renmimbi might give sonme credance to the rumour - although paying the equivalent of 600k for a gamble on a Chinese footballer does sound somewhat un-bates like

Agree0 Disagree0

Renminbi is their equivalent of Sterling. Yuan is the actual unit.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 caps 8 goals. decent record, worth a cheap punt.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is more chance of a chicken fried rice, portion of chips and a beef chop suey signing on 9 year deals...............

To be fair, there was an article in the Yorkshire Post which suggested Leeds might be preparing a bid for Stephen Quinn and nick Montgomery. (Paper speculation)

We've been linked with montgomery a few times but nowt's come of it

Agree0 Disagree0

Manager Danny Wilson said: Ched wants to move on and wants a new challenge. We need him off our wage bill so it may be a case of having to let him go at less than his market value

Well yeah. Now you've said that of course he is. Nobody is gonna pay full value now.

Montgomery and Quinn would be decent signings. Hope at least Montgomery makes it into our squad.

Why should we all give Alan Smith stick?
And the same goes for David Stockdale?

We don't know the in's and out's of any transfer negotiations, we are basically ready to villify people based on media talk, rumours, speculation and lies

If we want to attract people to our club who will enable us to once again reach the Premiership then shouldn't we get behind potential targets and the management of our club?

Believable17 Unbelievable11

Alan Smith is greedy bugger, who has no self respect or ambition. He sits on the Newcastle bench or goes to US in order to get the final big pay cheque, rather than trying to help his home team achieve promotion to BPL. He deserves all the stick he is about to get. It's just naive to think that players have no say regarding their future nowadays.

PS. He is an average footballer, past it and crocked. My dearest wish is that the never dishonours the whites shirt by wearing it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually we do know the ins and outs of the Smith transfer. The truth was told about a year ago (by Norman Hunter i believe) that the club asked him to go to Scum as the highest cash in hand offer. The club then inferred that Smith had taken the offer out of greed, rather than as a favour to the club he loved.
The club should be appologising to the fans for deceiving them, to Smith for scapegoating him and the fans should be appologising to Smith for allowing themselves to belive the lies of the previous owners.
We owe him, not the other way around.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm on twitter and have spoken to Scott Wilson of the echo, had a chat to a few Nufc fans. Basically nothing official has gone on and there's only been tentative enquiries with Smith so all this stuff about wages are conjecture. Said it would definitely be an issue but expected him to leave and still thought Leeds would turn their enquiry into serious interest. Really unsure myself but we'll see

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan smith once a Leeds idol had the cheek to leave not only to another but to the hated scum-even though it it was the only team who offered cash that we needed didn't matter - now he is being flagged off he though he has NEVER said he was coming back-people are just using this site to open old wounds and prejudices saying he is too greedy to come back - why would he - a footballers playing life is short and who on here would take a pay cut unless they had to - it's time to drop it- to be honest I hope none of the players we have been linked with use this site to see fans opinions or we would have trouble signing anyone (oh we are)-wouldn't it be great if we could just support the team and manager we have instead slagging them and everyone else off - except bates , don't like him

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I rate Grayson I just can't stand Bates MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

We should niether boo or applaud him, just ignore him, either way no one gets hurt. Besides he might not even play.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should anyone care wether he signed for Man U. He is a professional footballer and he had a choice to either play for the top club in the country playing champions league football and doubling his salary or hope that another club came in for him or stay with a relegated club who couldn't afford to pay him. Not rocket science is it?

Agree0 Disagree0

He went to the scum as then we would get the most money, which we desperately needed. Bloody hell get over it

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith is earning a crust like the rest of us, would you taker a 50% pay cut to work somewhere you love?....

Leave the poor b*gger alone.

Agree0 Disagree0

"same the same goes for stockdale" ??
we turned him down because of the 48 hr recall.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he had nothing to hide he'd have cleared up this transfer 'mix-up' years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was all lies girly then Smith or his representitives would have said otherwise. You all belive what you want to rather than looking at it logically.

Agree0 Disagree0

It isnt a 50% pay cut, Newcastle r makin up the rest idiot.

AND IT ISNT JUST ABOUT HIM PLAYIN FOR MANCHESTER UNITED WHY PEOPLE DONT WANT HIM TO RETURN. WHEN WILL YOU SMITH BUMMERS GET THIS INTO YOUR HEAD

Agree0 Disagree0

Leave the poor b*gger alone.
26 million pound? hradly breaking the bank is it dropping by 5 thousand

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually we do know the ins and outs of the Smith transfer. The truth was told about a year ago (by Norman Hunter i believe) that the club asked him to go to Scum as the highest cash in hand offer. The club then inferred that Smith had taken the offer out of greed, rather than as a favour to the club he loved.
The club should be appologising to the fans for deceiving them, to Smith for scapegoating him and the fans should be appologising to Smith for allowing themselves to belive the lies of the previous owners.
We owe him, not the other way around.

Lorimer and Gray both said the opposite that Smith wanted a move to Man Utd and ONLY man utd, stopping any other higher offers from coming in Its well known he was discussing his desire to go there with backroom staff, and they told him to go for it despite fans opinion and he did. Dont make out he was forced because of damage control interviews now that bates has orchastrated incase he returns.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be expecting adoration on his return- I dont think so- He would only return to feed his ego.
If he wanted a return he would- the fact he's trying to bleed us dry proved he doesnt get leeds finacial situation, and wants us to be put in a situation where were paying stupid wages again to primadonnas- He isnt Leeds clearly- If he was he'd return for less- he was on 45k in his prime at leeds those claiming no one would take such a wage cut need to get their head out fo their asses. Anf WHO is gonna pay his wages the whole 45k+ after his contract runs out at Nufc? No thanks Smithy
M.O.T

Agree0 Disagree0

We Leeds faithful dont want him anywhere near ER, returning to Leeds 5 years after our relagation for the 1st time shows how much of a Leeds Utd AFC fan he really is.

Agree0 Disagree0

And I didn't particularly choose Smith to court controversy, I merely used him as an example of us not getting behind the club regarding potential signings

Agree0 Disagree0

To all of you, I posted this stating my desire for us all to just get behind the team whether we agree with who plays and who doesn't or any other decisions made.

Let me explain...

Stockdale is a Leeds lad and would have liked to have joined us, for whatever reason (I know somebody is gonna say about the 24hr release clause...where is your proof from a credible source?) he hasn't, and has had some unfair stick off Leeds fans on Twitter. Minority of fans not majority, but still

And you only have to look at previous comments on this site to see it's the same Smith.

With Smith, personally I'm not bothered if he sign or not (I don't particularly thinly we need him), but regardless of the past, I'm sure that like every other signing, he'll give what he can to the cause

It annoys me to see every decision made by LUFC dragged through the thorns We are the fans of this great club, the best supporters in the land...So let's SUPPORT LUFC in every way possible

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right Rodney we should get behind our targets, why not cheer on the opposition, celebrate the other teams goals too no doubt you're some tree hugging liberal

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodney?
I'd suggest your comment was more likely to come from "Rodney" than anyone else, grow up.
Why would anyone want to sign for us if they are slagged off left, right and centre before talks have even begun? The players themselves are human after all, and curiousity may bring them to sites like this...

Agree0 Disagree0

And I didn't particularly choose Smith to court controversy, I merely used him as an example of us not getting behind the club regarding potential signings.......And, would you be happy with 11 binmen with the ST prices we pay....doubt it. We arent mugs we arent going to accept every abysmal decision the club makes. Do we want another Risdale case, where the fans are gullible mugs laying down and letting the club go down the s**tter?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodney?

God knows why we havent tried to get Matthew Upson? Quality player, but what will probably happen (as per normal) we will come out in the press say "hes a good player we would love to sign him", dont do f**k all for 4 weeks and Leicester/West Ham will sign him {Ed045's Note - he's just left west ham.

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Could be because of wages? Come on seriously he's an England international who will command more wage than we can offer not hard to put 2 and 2 together to make 4

Agree0 Disagree0

For a start he's old n garbage, SG would never say "he's a quality player and I would love to sign him" as we do our business outside the press. He is exaclty the wrong type of player for Leeds, old and high wages are not what we want, we need young , eager and hungry players, not over hyped journeymen. Why do school holidays coincide with the transfer period, go and play outside little boy {Ed001's Note - he was on 60k a week at West Ham, he is not good enough either, there is no way any Championship side will sign him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Imagine upson and paddy central defenders
would be class can only dream

Agree0 Disagree0

The only little boy in this discussion is the stupid fool that things that an england centre back is "old and garbage". your not playing FIFA in your mums house now you litle punk. Leeds need a experienced centre back not a youngster. muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

You couldnt even agree a deal with fulham for a second string goal keeper on loan leeds are now just a small club with small wages and nobody players

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a pes man not fifa and I own my own house, muppet. Have you seen Upson play for England recently? Or the relegated West Ham? He is garbage, overated and OLD Paddy is 30-31 and O'Brian is acient so I think you'll find we have experiance, we need youth now to have the speed. AND the main point, his wages will be incredibly high, how can we afford that? Or are you Peter Risdale, fanny {Ed001's Note - I find it difficult to believe that anyone would suggest Upson is any good, he is a joke.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great in the champ but is on mega money, way out of our reach. only champ teams who can afford him will be recently relegated teams. if he wants to play for leeds for 10k a week though bring him in

Read that D.Wilson has had no offers for these players so more dodgy rumours, only player Sheff Utd say they may have to sell is Ched Evans

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we were to sign them, which i doubt anyway, why would it be left till now? too late to get a pair of cm's in, no time to gel, all the players are already at leeds, they are the trialists, expect 2 or 3 of them to sign.

Martinez is ready to offer £2.5million for the Scotland international, who is likely to jump at the chance of Premier League action.

Snodgrass, one of the most eye-catching performers outside the top flight, will miss Leeds trip to Norway as he waits for permission to head to Wigan.

The Latics will collect around £9.5m from N Zogbia s move to Aston Villa and Martinez has been told that he can spend by chairman Dave Whelan.

worrying times ahead i think

Believable4 Unbelievable26

2.5m? Your having a laugh right? 8m was the price put on his head by bates unless that's met he's staying And snoddy missed Norway trip due to injury not because he was waiting to talk to Wigan.

Agree0 Disagree0

All rubbish snodgrass is injured he is not in talks with anyone what so ever. And bates wonts £8million so when bated puts that price tag on he will not go unless he gets £8millon

Agree0 Disagree0

That is the single most ill informed peice of journalism I have read all summer. It actually sounds like a Wigan fan on the wind up on this site, not a genuine mirror article... Then again, it is the mirror.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another plank who probably doesnt know where elland road is..... snodders wouldnt jump at the chance to join wigan. nor would uncle ken sell him for £2.5 million. the £8 million valuation of him is obvious... he wont be sold unless someone bids £8 million?? or is that too obvious? MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

We also turned down a £3.5 million bid from Norwich. Snodgrass hasn't travelled to Norway because he has an ankle injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not at 2.5 million- add another 5 and we may consider it- as long as papa smurf lets Larry spend it on the team

Agree0 Disagree0

I work with a Wigan fan and although there is some truth to the rumour he has it on authority that Whelan does not spend too big (Although he did splash 6M on a flop last season) on unknowns. We turned down 3.5 and I can't see Wigan offering 5M, so I will probably die it's death this rumour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez offers 2.5 million for Snodgrass
West Ham offer around 1.5-2 million for Gradel
What planet are these clubs from

Agree0 Disagree0

F***ing retarded wigan fan posting s**t, snoddy for 2.5million?? grow up

Agree0 Disagree0

H 2.5 million He's worth at least double that. Id say 6 million and maybe Bates to think about it, considering he rejected 4.5 mill from Norwich only weeks ago.

Now that the goalkeeping position has been sorted out, suggest Simon concentrate on the weakest area
like LB, RB, CB and CM. A lot has been suggesting to bring back Lichaj. Please do but sign him on a permanent role. The LB the weakest so is CB, so Simon please address this area fast. As for CM, I would opt for Wes Hollahan of Norwich. Good player
sign him up. Stuart Parnaby a good RB, Lichaj as LB
CB goes to Matthew Upson. If you can get this quality players I guarantee Leeds have a very good
chance to mount a serious contention for the PREMIER LEAGUE. The PREMIER LEAGUE is where Leeds belong. In Grayson we trust. Up Leeds all the way to the PREMIER LEAGUE.

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Lb or cb will be filled by jlloyd Samuel and over left back will be bodor. We don't need any more center mids

Agree0 Disagree0

Jlloyd Samuel is not getting a contract according to Grayson And we defo do need a quality centre mid

Leeds to wait and see what sort of eception Alan Smith gets on sunday before deciding on a move. Ryan Betrand from Chelsea linked with a loan move along with Criag Dawson from West Brom. Leeds to make a move for Billy Sharp after both striker failed to score again last night.

Believable5 Unbelievable18

What does Ed think about this re Smith? I think they're nuts doing this. It'll just stoke the crowd up more - even those who don't want him are having a go that he hasn't signed already. Very bizarre {Ed045's Note - I think we should wait and see, and support whoever puts on the Leeds shirt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith is a greedy sh*te and billy sharp is out of our price range. get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

Official: Leeds United FC are not interested in the loan or permanent transfer of Alan Smith. The player has been a wonderful servant to the club during he early part of his career, however he has suffered from injuries and loss of form and does not have the ability required at the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wheres that from?

I agree with the comment if true.

We are past Smith now, only his fanclub still care and its embarrassing. We need youth, move on and get over your ''crush''.

He'll get the same reception as he has done at the last frinedly with Newcastle, the leeds fans have made their feelings very clear over Smith in the pre-season friendly's. The majority of MATCH ATTENDING fans dont want him back. They want whast best for LU and thats new younger hungrier fitter players.
