Everton and Liverpool are in for Sam byram should test new owners resolve
Jk

Believable31 Unbelievable60

More made up rubbish, lost count today of the amount of clubs who have bid for byram , and as he has recently signed a 4 year contract we will only sell for ridiculous money, 10 mill +

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock stated that we didn't have to sell players now we have investment. Lets hope we're are now fully backed this transfer window, which means not selling one of our brightest players of the season and bringing some quality to our static midfield and leaking defence. Somma and rosco are definatly good enough at this level give a decent chance. MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need to sell now Bates isn't pulling the strings although it's true about Everton. Their chief scout as been down at ER on a regular basis, also Moyes as been to a few Leeds away games. Byram & Becchio are hot property, we need to hang too them both.

Agree0 Disagree0

6 mill plus add-ons for appearances and achievements, percentage of sell-on clause.
Warnock then to spend the money on some 35 year old who happens to have the same agent as him and pocket a big back-hander for making it happen... like that's not been done before, lots of times, this season.
Warnock out.
A football manager in, please.

Rory Delap having a medical on new years eve ahead of a proposed season long loan move.

DayAndNight

Believable30 Unbelievable67

I can believe this as he suits warnocks game plan , hoof it up front and see what happems and also we can utilise his long throws now we need a 7 foot striker !

Agree0 Disagree0

Rory delap never hoofs it upfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Hull City's German striker Nick Prosnitch is 6' 4" tall, how about him? He seems out of favour at Hull yet they paid 2.6 million for him

LEEDS: 6 months ago Big Mac was flavour of the month and NW doing everything to make him stay. Out for an injury and now he's not getting a look in and rumoured to be headin out. Reckon we have a GOOD striker lined up for Jan or some kind of bust up has taken place with NW. Anyone aware of whats happened ? I like Somma but would you stick him on before Mac if he was fit and available ?

Believable32 Unbelievable17

I heard yesterday from 2 different places that leeds are sounding out lazio about libor kozak but ony if they get another forward (seydou doumbia i believe) would they let him go. he has mainly featured for lazio in the europa league this term. what do the ed's think of this!

Tommo

Agree0 Disagree0

Sack Warnock, keep McCormack then.

Agree1 Disagree0

I've heard of a few people mate the last couple of weeks say that mcormack has fallen out with Wornock and its virtually a done swap deal for him x Craig macail smith . But let's hope not we need to keep adding not swapping and selling . Mot

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't think NW sees Ross as an full on striker, but more of wide player unlike Somma who is more of a traditional CF. Personally I think that if your looking to bring on a goal scorer I'd put Somma ahead of Ross but if your lacking creativity then Ross would be ahead of Somma...hopefully neither will be going anywhere as they both can make a big impact on the rest of our season

Agree1 Disagree0

No bust up, Warnock was just sticking with a winning line up , as Ross said himself, he also said he will fight to regain his place in the new year, don't listen to silly rumours from the knee jerkers

Agree0 Disagree0

As happy as i am to see Somma back I would still have Ross coming on before him. For the goals Somma may score given the opportunity, Ross will set up or score just as many.

Its a tough one because for me, i would be starting Ross if fit, whether be out wide or behind Luci. For me we still need a LB, Drury and Aidy just don't do it for me at the back. I'd quite like to see us take the game to the oppositions and play some good football, something like the below would appeal.

Luci

Diouf McCormack

Thomas Norris/Tonge

Austin

White Tate Lees Byram

Kenny

Leaving us with a bit to change it around on the bench with Hall, Somma, Green, Tonge/Norris, Peltier on the bench. We would need the midfielders and attackers to work defensively but i think on the break and attacking they would be a handful.

With January coming the chance to strengthen gives us a massive opportunity. If we can add strength and depth to the side, preferably with the depth coming from the people that we would currently have tentatively in the starting 11 and the strength coming in from one or two "icing on the cake" signings then i'd like to think we can challenge.

Not expecting massive things in January but what we do bring in needs to be quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i agree something is amiss here unless its down to how they have been training and RM is still unfit. I think this has broken down probably over contract negotiations/ player relationship with Diouf and he is Colins golden boy and he will always pick him in front of RM. I arent sure but he might go out on loan or being rumoured to be involved in swap deal ? I guess we will have too see who we get to the club in Jan ?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you remember part of the reason Rossco turned down his first offer of a contract was because warnock told him he was going to be used as an substitute impact player. Snoddy goes, warnock changes tact and tells rossco that he is number one and hey presto rossco signs. fast forward 6 months and it appears warnock has reverted back to his previous views especially given the takeover is done and he knows he can bring a new striker in, drop Rossco to the bench and use him as originally intended without the fear of Rossco leaving for nothing and warnock incurring the wrath of the fans.

Columbo has nothing on me...

Agree0 Disagree0

Talking to someone who went to get a name put on the back of his shirt at ER , bloke behind counter said ' if u come back next week you'll be able to have Lambert ( rickie ) put on it' ????

Agree0 Disagree2

McCormack makes us play the ball on the grass a lot more, perhaps NW sees this as a problem, especially when J Thomas is in the team ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccormack n becchio have been our best strikers n play well 2gether so id take diouf out n let them both play as diouf n becchio dnt work as both r very slow n predictable but mccormack can get behind defenders n score n set up so as much as i like diouf i think he needs 2 b dropped as hes not really scoring for us lately n we need pace ahead of skill

Agree0 Disagree0

Only reason leeds did evcerything to keep roscoe is simple to appease thge fans after seeing howson gradel and snodgrass go he had to keep fans on board in mt honest oppinion from saturdays game ide keep roscoehe worked well with somma and becchion working will with diouf id rotate the pair id diouf and becchio not doing the job sub em for somma and rosco keep the opposition on ther feet

Agree0 Disagree1

Comment regarding LAMBERT has potential. Southampton need to step up and buy some quality and Lambert although good is not prolific in Prem. Saw him in Bristol and he knows where the goal is but not fast pace. Price probably £3m would fit our budget. Interesting to keep an eye on

Becchio out to Bolton or Wigan is gathering pace. Would Danny Graham be a good / better replacement, the Swans are chasing another striker too so looks like he's gone.....

DW

Believable14 Unbelievable60

I think he will go as he doesnt really do a full match but can you let the guy go when he knocks in vital goals ? Personally I would wait till end of season unless you have a really really good striker bagged to replace. His positioning and placement gets us goals which we cant lose at the moment

Agree0 Disagree0

Lita and heskey to sign by end of jan.

Agree0 Disagree3

CELTIC: Betfair has him going. May be a potential swop and money deal with Garry Hooper who has stalled on contract extension and was rumoured to be interested in Leeds prior to his move North.

Agree0 Disagree1

We have had Danny graham on loan before... and he was pants. don't go for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see us selling our top scorer to a Championship side, however if a Prem club come in with a serious offer that may be a different situation. That could give you the money to sign someone like Charlie Austin, personally I hope he stays

Agree0 Disagree0

Heskey? HESKEY? too much christmas drinking i think...

Agree1 Disagree0

We have the money to buy a striker, we are strengthening not weakening, becchio going nowhere , nor Ross , we are not a selling club anymore, when u all gonna wise up to opposing fans trying to stir

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like Franco Di Santo of Wigan is en route to Scouserpool, so Martinez is going to try tempt Becchio away from us as replacement

Believable13 Unbelievable27

Who could blame becchio for jumping at a chance in the premier league?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would blame Becchio, it may be premier league but a tin pot club, i could understand him going to a big club but not this.
foxrat

Agree0 Disagree1

Can hardly call Wigan a chance at the premier league, yes in there in it, but every year are flirting with the drop zone. only a matter of time.......

Agree0 Disagree0

I am amazed at the arrogance of our fans, yes we have a great history, but we have been in the wilderness for a long time.get real which 'top' team is going to want becchio?and £3 million is a lot of money,if he is as good as you say he will take wigan flying up the table and into europe!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont feel it is arrogance if you dont want your top scorer to go to a smaller club than Leeds, yes we have been out of the prem' for far too long now but i still say we ARE a bigger club than quite a few in the prem', yes he would score goals for wigan but whether the rest of the wigan side are good enough to '' fly up the table and into europe'' is a whole new question.
foxrat

3 mill, ur avin a laugh, he's worth treble that
