Compass group is a uk based company I should know I'm a manager for them. I can assure you they are just providing catering at eland road as they do in millennium stadium, Liberty stadium, Cardiff city stadium, twickenham, Wimbledon, ricin arena just to name a few.

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Hope this isnt true, wimbledon food is a f***ing rip off

Agree0 Disagree0

You clearly don't know your own employers then they are not just a uk based company they are part of a bigger worldwide organisation. Look into it deeper and further you will find out. The uk part means its just the uk arm of a wider company I work for a very well known telecommunications company and our names end uk but the wider company is worldwide.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ricin arena? I bet not many people make it out of there alive...

Never Ever posted ...so listen up!
Ive done some research into out new hotel parters -InterContinental Hotels Group .
This company looks inconspicuous enough , however looking closer this could be the best clue to the new investor .
ICHG float on the stock market and a company called SOUTHEASTERN ASSET MANAGEMENT INC. owns 17.16M shares worth $398.44M .
The chairman/owner/founder of southeastern asset managment is a man called Otis. Mason Hawkins from tenessee USA , 62 years old , who is on the forbes rich list and has a personal net worth fortune of 1.8 billion dollars .
His company southeastern asset managment currently owns major shares in DELL computers worth 153.64 million dollars among many many others totalling 1.8billion dollars .

Just throwing it out there , i know the ypost said middle east connections but this man/company owns shares of companies from all over the world for example he has shares in EON energy and walt disney his portfolio is huge !

I never post on here and everything i have found out is basic investigation and research , but everything i have said are true facts ....

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Hi, I turned off after "...so listen up", to me this usually means someone trying to bully me into reading a load of information I am fairly sure I do not need to know.

Agree0 Disagree0

No problem mate , was my first post so thanks for that, LISTEN UP ,im not making anything up its all on the information highway mate if you bother to research yourself , i didnt say it was a rumour or a defo takeover by this guy i was just putting factual information out there , so unless you have something constructive to say...why say anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster - fair play, good facts, could well be a possibility as no-one really knows much regarding the takeover! I also agree with you that there was no need for the first reply

Cat is out the bag! harveys nephew just let slip new owners who new owners are. Leed fans prepare to hear the name revie again at leeds. Revie's son is man fronting takeover. Unsure who directly is money men or man. But believe me its revie and chums. im sure u will doubt this but read back when named and u will read it here 1st. Come on leeds!!

Believable10 Unbelievable12

Are you serious really? Duncan revie was named as a big possibility a long time before you posted on here claiming to be the one to break the news pal. It was posted on news ow a while back and even on this site too! Sorry to pi$$ on your parade mr In the know!

Scot MOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just isn't happening, revie was linked way back in 2007! move on from that idea.
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I can read back from here, over 100 posts ago Revie was mentioned and mentioned again and yet again and again. So you see, you're not the first even if it were true, you're definately not the first.
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah guys (above) I'm as sceptical as you at the Revie connection again. However, I was just thinking - I heard that the takeover/investment discussionscould have started some 9 - 12 months ago with one particular group and around that time the statue for Don Revie was commissioned and unveiled recently. What a lovely tribute to him at a time when his nephew might be taking up the reins at LUFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be true a friend of mine is mates with Geoff Richmond and he intimated that Duncan Revie is the man fronting a middle eastern T/O , as we know DR is based in UAE and is involved in a highly sucessfull business , Soccerex. Fingers crossed.

Don't talk out your a**e, why in Gods name would we want him. Only way is on the bench. Let Hull have him, first and foremost we need to become Yorkshires number one. Bloody Heskey ain't going to help that cause.

Warnock said hes letting paynter go cos hes to similar to becchio, so why would he sign heskey?

Agree0 Disagree0

For the record I don't think we would sign Heskey....however he is far better than Paynter and is actually a quality target man who holds the ball up exceptionally well as long as he plays along side a true finisher. In the Championship I think he would do very well for someone, but not us

Hey fellow Leeds fans, I have the name on the new owner of Leeds United.
I can start with that i work for AEG facilities.

The new owner is Philip Frederick Anschutz and is on place 34 on forbes richest list.

I can prove my statment with:
Levy restaurants is a franche of Compass group.
Compass group owns 49% of AEG facilities, Philip Frederick Anschutz owns 51%.

The press conferance is going to happen 3 july.
Sorry for my spelling.

MOT to good times! 100% true

Believable14 Unbelievable21

No way do you work for AEG & you have no insider information. You may however still be correct about the likely new investor/owner a very likely candidate.
Much more likely than al-whatsit or sheikh rub-a-dub as ken would call him.

Agree0 Disagree0

72 year old ?

Can't see it but you never know !

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete rubbish, the person interested in purchasing Leeds United and is very close to doing so, is from the Middle East as the media have informed and the club will soon back up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lmfao you been reading andrew haighs twits lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Can I just inform every Leeds fan that AEG operate galatasaray stadium Turk telekom arena, what do you all think about that?

Agree0 Disagree0

All, I think your find that he is looking at buying Tottenham for £420m! could be wrong though

Aeg facilities is the so called consortium, and for the rekord, they have a brillient past to bring success in football teams, the oil Link is not from the middle east, anchutz ownes oil companes to.

Hi eds, heard on good authority that the new owners are a foreign consurtium, but will remain silent and unamed when takeover goes thru and released to media. Harvey will become new chairman and will introduce several new directors to board but none will be owners only employees of the owner.
i know everyone is hoping for rich yank or middle eastern billionnaire and it may still be, but they will wish to remain nameless as apparently have seen abuse owners can recieve from fans if success or expections are met. my understanding is the takeover is by a joint american and kuwaiti group.
hope this info helps abit {Ed013's Note - I don't know how I would feel if he was chairmen. He may change for the better with more funds available}

I'm going along with the guy in the second post here, the Football League brought all sorts of rules in last year to stop that kind of thing happening. Hence why as stated by your man above, bates had to come out as majority share holder.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Compass group only provide catering to sports stadia they do not run football teams. They own 49% of AEG Faclities which are part of the AEG Group which does have a stake in the likes of LA Galaxy

Agree0 Disagree0

To original poster - I doubt that they would pass the F&PP test considering Sir Roy Gardner's history at Plymouth Argyle. But I agree - let's hope it isn't Compass, or any other multi-national corporation who want to run the club as a commercial business venture. We want an owner with passion for the game and even more so for the team.

I am almost certain that the new owners are American not from middle east.

From what I have heard, they initially walked away because KB wouldnt agree to DD.. He swiftly backtracked !

Also they are not Billionaires so it will not be a Man C type of affair.

KB has definitely cleared his office! Harvey had to cancel his holiday to USA to sort the deal out !

Allegedly there has been a staff meeting at ER but they have been told very little and what they have been told, not to disclose to anyone OR ELSE !

Also they were told that they will find out only 10 minutes before the media do !

I don't know a timescale but it can't be far off !

It would make real sense to push deal through for 01/07 for wages and supplier bills etc etc.

I suspect an announcement will be made either tomorrow or Monday.

Believe what you will ! I am 100% confident on my all of my news and source(s) except the date when it will complete. That is my prediction!

Believable7 Unbelievable20

When someone says "my sources" and doesn't give anything more it tends to mean there aren't any sources and it's mostly just mixes of stuff off the web, mixed up enough not to look like its copied.
Rant over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another "false information" post. The prospective new owners are from the Middle East and let us hope everything goes through under the confidentiality clause, everyone agreed to.

Agree0 Disagree0

For bates to get funny about DD is a ridiculous statement, he's a businessman and knows full well that ANY takeover and investment would require it

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you mystic meg for your prediction. last time i read my horoscope written by you, i was going to win a fortune. the only thing that came out of it was that i got into more debt than ridsdale

Thanks for that drivel, Nostradamus. If (as you claim) the staff have only been told three-fifths of stuff all and won't know anything until ten mins before the media do, then how come you know so much?

Regular reader, first time poster. Maybe something or could be just coincidence. After the announcement on the OS regarding catering and the partnership formed with levy restaraunts, I took it upon myself to research levy restaraunts. Their offices are based in Chicago and on the home page of their website was a massive picture of Wrigley fields (home of Chicago red sox baseball team). Rumours have it, that one of the potential was based in north America with links to Chicago red sox. Could this just be coincidence or do fellow supporters believe this could be something to do with the consortium going through due diligence?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't say the picture was massive, but you are correct there is a picture.
Also it appears if you put "Soccer" (yes I know bloody Americans) into their "search sports" table it appears that they have ties with at least two MLS sides.
Who knows, but at least the food will be good at ER!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye i think this could be a sign, if it was just this then probs not but with an ice rink as well? When theres the big one in Bradford it would seem silly unless it was for a sports team. Ice hockey is an untapped market over here but it is widely enjoyed though.

I have it on good authority that it will not be an Arab who leads the takeover of our club. The takeover will be complete over the next two weeks, with Bernard Arnault the man who will be the new owner. Ken Bates cleared out his office last week. Lee Peltier deal virtually complete. David Norris in talks. Paddy Kenny is sealed.

I mentioned a few days ago about overhearing about a press conference being arranged at Elland Road for Tuesday 3rd July.

I've seen a lot of posts since then saying that 1st of July will be the day things are announced but it makes more sense it being the 3rd as the 1st is a Sunday, so they can confirm the funds have been transfered and finalise all the little details surrounding the deal and sign all the required paperwork on the monday and make the announcement to the world on the 3rd.

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Think peple saying first because thats when all the people reaching end of contracts can officially join there new club an reading the club statement it looks like funds atre there already there and i recon tomorrow or monday

Agree0 Disagree0

This comment does make more sense than a non bank working day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense, a takeover is not like buying a car. Funds will be held in escrow until paperwork completes

Agree0 Disagree0

30 June is standard year end for football clubs hence most people suggesting 1 July. It could well complete on 1st but formal announcement probably set up fora date near to that.

Ed, this is going to be a long shot question; is there anything that links the last two partnership signings with any of the potential investors that you're aware of? Because both chains are alot more prestigious than the other sponsors and partners we've had for a while...

Cheers as always,

Roundhay White {Ed045's Note - There could be a possibility, the fact that the club is taking up partnerships DURING an investment period can only entice the potential buyer more or even be implemented by them in the first place as a clause of purchase.

Believable10 Unbelievable1

YES, THOUGHT THAT MYSELF.
DID A BIT OF DIGGING ON COMPASS & THE HOTELS CHAIN, BUT DID NOT COME UP WITH ANY LINKS BETWEEN THEM AND ANY ALREADY NAMED/LINKED COMPANIES WHO COULD TAKEOVER AT LEEDS.
LIKE EVERYONE, THOUGHT NOTHING COULD HAPPEN ON THE MONEY FRONT UNLESS A DEAL HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE.
I CANNOT SEE MR BATES AGREEING TO THE NEW CATERERS & HOTEL CHAIN HIMSELF. HE DID NOT EVEN STAY IN THE HOTELS LINKED WITH LEEDS LAST SEASON. I RECKON YOU'D NEED TO DO A LOT OF DIGGING TO FIND ANY CONNECTIONS TO THE NEW FRANCHISES AND THE POTENTIAL NEW OWNERS.
IS THERE ANY SIMILARITIES HERE WITH THE EVENTUAL TAKEOVER BY THE RUSSIAN WHO BOUGHT READING??

Agree0 Disagree0

Read Andrew Haigh's twitter it tells you the connections between ihg and compass group and there is a major link to Philip anschultz worth 7.9 billion American too.

Huddersfield (just one of the clubs he's been linked with but, affix name of your choice here), like-it-or-not, have the same ambitiion as all the other Championship clubs; get to the cash cow that is the Premier League.
Proven strikers are highly sought after and if you were the chairman of a club with genuine promotion ambitions, wouldn't you dangle as tempting a carrot as you could to get yourself 20-or-so goals a season?
We did.
But we also brought in defenders who each shipped 20-or-so goals, striker who didn't score at all and sold our captain.
