just heard aswell as mackay-stevens we might be getting a lad from oldham called Baxter? any1 else heard anything about this?

Believable18 Unbelievable41

Jose Baxter. there was interest when Warnock was boss too, and he would have been cheaper then.

Agree2 Disagree1

29 Aug 2013 18:41:01
Oldham have had a bid for Baxter - from Sheff Utd - NOT Leeds.

Agree1 Disagree1

It is true that there has been an approach for him from someone but I doubt it is us. He is decent but would rather see Vaz Te or Gary Mackay-Steven sign.

Agree5 Disagree0

He is ex everton academy, my bro is a toffee and he reckons he has talent but is a bit of a sicknote, we could do better if his injury's are still there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes baxter has gone to sheff utd

Mackay-stevens snubs blackburn in favour of leeds united and playing along side his fellow country men ross mc cormack, deal to be done and complete by monday

Believable56 Unbelievable46

Or he could go to blackburn and play alongside rhodes and hanley?

Agree4 Disagree1

Good guess on any possible deal completed by Monday as that is deadline day
Am I just being a cynic here?

There has been a lot of talk about Mackay-Steven on this site for a few months now.
The question I have is, is he any good? As he has been around a while now and nobody has bee interested. Which says a lot to me

I have mate life long Dundee fan say he and all Dundee fans whould be gutted to see who he thinks is there best player leave He's words (He's the real deal)
I my self don't think we will be seeing him at Leeds any time soon if at all. But there is always hope and he would fit Bms criteria young fast skilfully a good old fashioned winger with he's best years still in front of him. In my opinion for what it's worth he will be worth a fortune in 3 years time witch also fits Bms plan

Agree1 Disagree0

Vaz Te to sign for Leeds United in next 48 hours having handed in transfer request

Believable35 Unbelievable35

29 Aug 2013 16:11:21
I hope your right. M.O.T

Agree3 Disagree1

(A) Why would he drop into the championship?
(B) How would we pay the kind of money he warrants?

Agree5 Disagree3

Surely LUFC cannot afford his wages £30k per week - heard he's on his way to Blackpool to replace Matt Phiilips & Ince if he goes as well. Hope he does join LUFC, but not sure if we can afford him, transfer fee or wages?

Agree1 Disagree4

He's not on 30k a week, don't be silly, not even West Ham would pay that.

Internet has him on 700k per annum that means he would sign a new deal for circa 15k a wk.

Why would he drop down in to Championship? - what like at Barnsley and West Ham?

Agree3 Disagree1

He is now a proven performer in the Premiership!

Agree0 Disagree2

Hardly proven in the Prem 3 goals in 28 apperances!

Agree5 Disagree0

Haha proven in the premiership? Don't talk absolute pony!! He's not even proven at championship level, spent most of the season on the bench at west ham and was a stand out player in a terrible Barnsley side that weren't even in the top half whilst he played for them. Talk sense people seriously!

Agree1 Disagree0

Why does him putting in a transfer request link him with Leeds, besides, no-one on here has guessed correctly any of Macs signings to date, despite all the so called reliable source crap, if he does make another signing, it will be someone not mentioned yet, so Vaz Te, no way.

Agree2 Disagree2

30k a week?

He is at a club that isn't one of the biggest in the PL he doesn't even start every game, and he isn't an out and out goal scorer why would he be on 30k?

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree with earlier comments. He'll be on bigger money than our highest earner and would cost far more to buy outright than we have at our disposal. I think Mackay-Steven is much more likely or Tommy Rowe from Peterborough. Both would be nearer our budget and a better investment with BMD's close management and support.

Agree1 Disagree0

Cardiff and Crystal Palace are both after him, so unless we are going to pay more wages he will not be coming to Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Think about it - West Ham signed him from one of the lowest paying teams in the Championship in Barnsley. He will have been on £3-4k a week, so why would the Hammers 10x that? I suspect £15k is closer to the mark.

Agree1 Disagree0

How do you mean no one guessed any of the signings? Could see Noel hunt coming in a mile off lad

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been on radio Leeds that Brian mc still looking at bringing 1 more permanent signing before the end of te window.

Anyone got any views on who it should be?

Believable24 Unbelievable8

Would like to see vaz te at leeds

Agree5 Disagree1

Would anyone take a punt on marlon king? Haven't seen much of him recently and know he's a complete thug but think he could do a job and get us some goals. {Ed013's Note - No}

Agree0 Disagree9

Macail-smith from Dundee UTD would be a great buy but maybe cost to much. but you never say never!

Agree4 Disagree1

29 Aug 2013 15:34:46
Gary Machar Stevens that's your man young fast tricky and will only get better under BM 3 years he will be worth a fortune and would be a big part of getting us to the premiership

Agree4 Disagree0

Ricardo Vaz Te, a proven goal scorer AND assists at our level, arguably good enough for the Prem. And he's quite young so fits the bill PERFECT. (Plus it will annoy all Barnsley fans seeing him in a Leeds shirt ha ha)

Agree1 Disagree1

Sterling from Liverpool

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed. Is there any way to block any person who mentions M**lon K**g's name on here? {Ed013's Note - Of Course}

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like it to be GMS but McD has form of surprising us eg LM & MS.
Hope it doesn't hinge on us shifting 1 or 2 out because it looks like no ones going to leave us. Nobody wants to take our deadwood and I don't blame them!

Agree3 Disagree0

Ha sorry lads I'm a young fan just getting back into football properly! I only remember him from Watford when I was about 13. Looking at other posts etc so apologies for that! McDermott seems to keep his cards close to his chest but where have these vaz te rumours stemmed from? Haven't seen anything remotely linking him other than on this site.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian Abrahams (the MOOSE) from station whose a spammers fan was doing a match report and vaz te scored a cracker of a free kick and then told everyone that he was very likely to move before window shuts and most likely to move to LEEDS ( he's well connected when it comes to his club the spammers as on most transfers in or out he's reported on have came true
Hope this helps GOOD EVENING ED 3 how's you? Any gossip from your sources?Been a while since spoke .

LEEDS FOR LIFE
MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Take a punt on wells he will score goals, and bring in 1 or 2 wingers on loan

Agree1 Disagree0

Why winger when you play a diamond formation?

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Aug 2013 14:10:09
Brendan Rogers has said he needs to get Andre Wisdom out on loan to get some games into him. Would love him at Leeds.

Believable14 Unbelievable25

Highly rated Leeds born teenage defender, would be great!

Leeds are on the verge of signing vaz te. he would be in the team week in-week out! Very good winger with pace. C'mon leeds make this happen and give us a great chance off the play-offs or even automatic. M.O.T

Believable20 Unbelievable35

Isn't Vaz Té more of a wide forward than a true winger?

Berty

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd push RM up front . Play Vaz Te in the hole behind given BMs liking for that formation . Also gives us option of 4-4-2 with him as a winger

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish. He gets £30k per week at West Ham.

Agree1 Disagree2

We can't afford his fee or wages! Well we probably could if the owners stopped pocketing every penny we make lol

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not a winger the reason he wants to leave is because he was played there at west ham and we won't be able to compete with the likes of cardiff how can offer high wages and premiership football

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 14:27:56
And how do you know he's on 30k a week? If he want to play week-in week-out. he as to take a pay cut. simple!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 12:20:27
Rumours Palace and Lecister in for Vaz Te if true we have only got the pull off playing for Leeds and the best support in the land, my bet is the ££££ come first. either way MCcormack Varney army Poleon Matt smith are doing the business so if he comes good news, if he don't carry on regardless LUFC comes be4 any player

Believable21 Unbelievable7

Vaz Te's contract is up in May so the fee won't be huge however his wage will . Coming from Barnsley where he was paid very little I don't think Spam are paying him astronomical wages though

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 13:18:23
I'm pretty sure he signed a new deal when they got in prem either way palace can pay Better wages and so can Lecister, But Lecister won't pay silly wages anymore as once bitten twice shy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposedly on 13k a week at west ham

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf is supposedly on around 11-12k a week so maybe it could happen!?

Agree2 Disagree0

Blackburn have signed Ben Marshall from Leicester. Does that mean they're out of the running for mackay steven

Believable22 Unbelievable4

29 Aug 2013 11:49:32
And at no time has BMc said we are IN the running for GMS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but he has said he is going for new wingers

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes he has @ 2, but it could equally be Tommy Rowe, but he's waiting to the last moment to prevent Barry Fry trying to play his mind games to up the price. Time to wait and see.

JDC

Agree0 Disagree0

No. mackay-Steven is a left winger and Ben Marshall is right

Leeds cull rumours of cash problems with a £4mil + poleon season long loan deal for peterborough's tomlin who mc dermot has been a fan of for some time now

Believable6 Unbelievable83

Tomlin is not worth 4m, just because he scored a hatrick vs reading don't mean were after him

Agree4 Disagree0

Oh here we go again, yet another crazy last minute rumour (is this you Darren Ferguson?). Tomlin is at best a league one player, on a good day, he certainly is no Poleon and as for 4mill where is that money going to come from - unless daddy is going to dip into his Fergie pockets!

Agree2 Disagree0

Silly, silly, silly, have you watched Poleon this season, he is a player who will cause problems to defenders with his pace and touch. He will get more playing time and more experience by staying wih us and become a more mature rounded player.

Agree3 Disagree0

If leeds had 4mil, they would be signing 2 or 3 players. Not just one and be throwing in a good future prospect.

Agree2 Disagree0

£4million for tomlin (lmbo)

Agree0 Disagree0

Tomlin has scored more than a hat trick against reading check out his goal scoring record and many other clubs are after him, we (leeds) are using the tactic of claiming we have no money as it gives us the upper hand when bidding, if clubs knew we had money the price would inflate. dom poleon is still young and has learning to do and also has to work on his finishing i'm a leeds fan myself and anymore who says he's gunna be next big thing has been watching some1 else, this rumour has come froma good source not made up

Agree0 Disagree0

No one is saying he will be the next big thing, people are saying he is a good player with potential. After seeing him in several games you can clearly see he is dangerous and unpredictable who will undoubtebly cause problems with any defence in this league and can only get better playing in the championship and offers us a completely different angle to hunt, varney and smith he will be a crucial part of this season and loanin him out would be a ridiculous move.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2013 00:10:57
Ross McCormack will sign a new contract before the weekend and leeds have submitted a loan bid for vaz re Which will be made permanent in January if its accepeted

Believable34 Unbelievable12

Gary Mackay-Stevens from Dundee United is expected to sign in the coming days along with Ricardo Vaz Te who will come on loan from West Ham United. Sam Byram and Ross McCormack will stay with Leeds and will help us push for promotion. MOT!

Believable41 Unbelievable19

Hope so (wrexhamwhites.m)

Agree0 Disagree0

Premier league here we come if this happens. Well, maybe a solid cb too

Agree0 Disagree0

GMS still has 2 years left on contract so we would be buying that out. Can u realistically see this happening? ain't going to happen FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

To the third reply. They said he would be available for around 500k if I remember rightly, which I can absolutely see happening.

Agree1 Disagree0

Actually not a fact because u don't buyout a contract as they won't be paying it anymore, a players valuation has nothing to do with wages, they could accept 500k or 5 mill

Agree0 Disagree0

If GMS is that good then what do you think is the incentive for Dundee to sell him for a measley 500k with 2 years left? Come on boys stop being silly. Personally looking at youtube vids of him I think he looks tasty but so does Griegs pasties until you bite into them. Dundee would want him doing the job for them until at least the end of this season before cashing in unless we pay over the odds. and that I can't see otherwise we would have Mills, Vaz Te and a bunch of other guys. But what do I know about football :)?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats this tosh about not buying out players contracts? Talking B/S. Why do think there are several Wolves players on 40-60k contracts in Div 1? There are plenty of teams willing to offer contracts to them and Wolves eager to offload but clubs simply not willing to buy out the 2 years they have left on that wage. The club will always demand more money for a player they have registered to them with longer time left on contracts. Buying clubs have to meet both players wage bill and clubs transfer fee / valuation. Standard business unless your playing subbuteo
