It has been 3 days now since a deal was agreed between Leicester and Leeds was confirmed on sky sports news. I Like
Mills as a footballer, very commanding
great leader, however as it has taken
him this long to decide to come to leeds
do we really want a player that clearly
isnt over the moon at the prospect of joining
our club? Just a suggestion, wondering
what other people think?

Believable20 Unbelievable12

Very very true, well said. Looks like he doesn't want to play for Leeds so pot him. We only want players that are commited to our cause.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think it matters. he is a top player and is faced here with a tough decision. i think we should give him the time he needs as we dont want a player at the club wanting to be elsewhere, or he needs to be sure that he wants to be at leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be thinking of his long term futur as if he comes to leeds we cant afford either of his wages or transfer fee where as if someone who can afford both amounts he is maybe able to sort out a permanent deal for the summer in which case he can get settled in the area with his family rather than have to move again in 3 months time

Agree0 Disagree0

He played for their reserves yesterday, pretty much guaranteeing he won't be here!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don`t think Mills is the type not to give 100%. He has to think of traveling, family etc.But if he comes I would welcome him with open arms. Please Mr Mills, come to Leeds and become a promotion winner!!

Agree0 Disagree0

As it stands at the moment, I would like him to come but only if he decided very soon (e.g. by end of tomorrow). Every man has the right to weigh up whats best for him. Letting it drag on much longer would be unsatisfactory

Agree0 Disagree0

I suppose you've got to see it from Mills' point of view. He probably uprooted family etc. to move to Leicester just a few months ago thinking it was a long term thing and now he might have to pack his bags to move on again for another couple of months. If he's playing us off against someone else and waiting for a more convenient move then sod him but if he's genuinely weighing up his options then I suppose you've got to give him a reasonable amount of time. Plus I think Nigel Pearson has been out of circulation the last few days due to an operation, he's back at the club tomorrow, so maybe Mills is waiting to see if things have thawed a bit since it all kicked off or whether he is definitely out on his ear?

Agree0 Disagree0

I really wanted him at ER, regardless of what's happened with him and Nigel Pearson, he's a good defender at championship level and has proved that over the past 2-3 years, £5mill was a lot to pay but you don't become a bad player overnight. Losing a bit of interest now though...should be a no brainer for any player when Leeds come calling, so if he doesn't fancy wearing our white shirt then his loss. MOT!

Original Poster here - The worry i have is that its a bit like the Roque Santa Cruz situation at the beggining of the season where they come out and say they want to move to Leeds to highlight their availability more than their desire to play for our club? Dunno whether people think that may be the case also? Furthermore i respect its uprooting his life but hes lived around the area when he played for Doncaster so would it be that much of a transition for him? Like i say he's a great footballer just what Leeds is after, but there is a part of me that thinks we may be getting conned.... i hope not.....

Agree0 Disagree0

The main stumbling block in his way is that he will lose his loyhalty bonuses! Money talks. He is Leicester born and bred so may want to stay there. I personally think its a no brainer to join Leeds for 2 months and see what happens...

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate he's not from Leicester he's from Swindon, wiki says he from Leicester but he aint

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people instantly jumping to conclusions? there are bound to be reasons for why a deal is taking too long. as was posted higher up pearson isn't back until tomorrow and surely he gets the finally say as to who he gets loaned out and who doesn't, for all we know warnock could be ironing out a future fee before he moves. loads could be happening. if he does come lets look at his desire to play from that point, if he doesn't well all the best to the lad. having said that the speed at which someone says yes to a deal doesn't necessarily indicate his desire, look at townsend who came so quick he left his boots behind and look how that turned out. maybe mills is more mature and thinking about how the move may affect family etc. anyway the point i'm trying to bring out amidst all my waffling: dont jump to conclusions without all the facts!

Lonergan took weeks to finalise, because his daughter needs special treatment and it needed sorting out with Leeds based doctors, did you think the same about him?
Give the man some time to deciede

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree how can some over priced (maybe better than what we have now, but not convinced) big time charlie hmm n arrh about coming to Leeds the biggest club he could ever hope to play for.

Agree0 Disagree0

PEARSONwas having treatment but I don,t think the supporters will take too kindly to this deal

the decision seems to be with Pearson (who's just back from a back op) not Mills, so it's still unclear but not Mills' fault!

Regarding Mills, best thing he can do to show Pearson how good he is is to come and play for us until the end of the season. If he does really well then he will have shown he is capable. If he doesn't do that well then so be it. I don't think that playing in the odd reserve games will be good enough to show what you are really capable of doing. So come on Mills you know it make sense. Join the Whites and get us in the playoffs...MOT

Believable16 Unbelievable3

Wish he could hear u pal, makes perfect sense to you and I. Think Mills will make a massive difference to our shakey defence, especialy with top of league southampton coming up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearson will not let him come to leeds or any other championship club - he will not want to assist any other teams in the championship, so it hinders leicesters chance at a playoff place!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearson would ave let him come, the 2 clubs agreed a deal, he didn't want to come!

Agree0 Disagree0

Or don't you think personal terms might be the problem ,with our wage structure in place

Leeds have handed a trial to Swedish midfielder and free agent Dulee Johnson, 27. He played in a closed door game against Middlesborough FC at Thorpe Arch, where he set up Billy Paynter for a rare goal.

Believable15 Unbelievable9

Paynter got 2! 1 from sam corner other penalty! johnson wasnt mentioned in the goals

Agree0 Disagree0

Paynter second gold was a pen. But got to say Leeds did not put the team on the website. Not like they did for last weeks game with Hull. Me thinks there was a few more on trial??

Agree0 Disagree0

It was Dulee with the corner I think. O/S reported it incorrectly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson must have put the ball on the penalty spot for paynter to score then

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt set him up the ball happened to hit Paynter on its way in to the net anyway LOL {Ed013's Note - I heard Paynter had a good game, but then I realised they had mixed the shirts up and Paynter was wearing Johnsons, vice verser! On a serious note, troubles a side, that Johnson looks a decent player}

I know for a fact that war nock has paddy kenny lined up for a move to Leeds in the summer.
Source = kenny's mum

Believable8 Unbelievable36

Where Warnock goes Kenny goes, and he is a first class Championship Keeper

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan is a first class championship keeper...he was even linked with an england call up a few years ago....we dont need paddy kenny although he is a good keeper just cant see any of those keepers playing 2nd string

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy Kenny played 400 games for blunts during which he received a ban for `taking` a banned substance,still,Blunts stayed loyal and stood by him through out,which he repayed by sodding off to QPR.This man as no loyalty and i for one hope he stays away from Elland Road. MOT {Ed020's Note - i prefer lonergan. }
