Seems to be a lot of confusion. Have seen sources claiming Wolves have signed him and others saying we have. My understanding is we have both had offers accepted and he has done medicals for both and contracts have been offered. He was originally supposed to favour a move to Wolves so it will be interesting to see if we can pull it off. A top signing if so, has been a 1 in 3 striker for the foxes which is impressive when you think how much he has been in and out of the first team.

Id say Wolves because of Kenny Jackett.

I'm not a fan of the guy. I hope Wolves get him. It's not a signing that we need or want.

I am 100% with DCD6 , I think the boy is average at best and is nowhere near worth £2 million , he is not consistent and will prove to be a waste of money if we get him . I hope that I'm wrong

Looks like we are set to win the race for him after all, more sources saying he has swayed towards joining us now (offered a longer 4yr contract NOT a bigger wage).
Dont know why your all getting so down on Wood. At 23 he has another 3 or so years till he is at his best, he is a great finisher and adds height and power. He managed 11 it 19 for Millwall on loan (that works out at a haul of 26 had he played a full season with that strike rate) and 20 in 60 for Leicester and only 32 of those games were starts. Great signing and £2m for a proven player at our level is better than the supposed £3m we are ready to pay for Avenatti (10 goals in his last 51 games) if we miss out on Wood.

Don't know if woods transfer is still on as Leicester have just sacked Pearson.

Still on. They have said the sacking won't affect the sale of Wood (they just spent £7.25m on a new striker so it may be a necessity sale). Medical was passed today and Wolves have pulled their interest so hopefully it should get announced tomorrow or Thursday.

But didn't he go on loan last season to Ipswich and not get a game when they have strikers like Daryll Murphy, a Freddie Sears and Our old favourite Noel Hunt? Granted Murphy and Sears over performed but if McCarthy could get them to play well and not Wood doesn't that say something? Fair play we've signed him now and I'd love to be proven wrong by him, I just dunno if on this occasion the money couldn't have been put to better use.

Sharp can go -best days were years ago, and not at a particularly high level. Out of his depth at Leeds, I'm afraid. Poor Hockaday signing -Cellino was right to be sceptical.

I cannot believe people would want to lose an experienced player like sharp from a very inexperienced squad and replace him with all these youngsters with little or no experience. I don't see Sharp playing a major part but he is a valuable player to have around.

Hockaday had no input into player signings.

Hockaday was the one who pushed for Sharp and Ajose -Cellino was reluctnat on both counts, but allowed himself to be persuaded, which he regretted almost straightaway.
