Hope montgomery doesnt come to leeds as reported. knocked us back last year in favour of money as apposed to playing for his childhood club.
he doesn't deserve the white shirt.
press believable if you dont want him either and unbelievable if u want him

It wasnt the money that was the problem. He didnt want league 1 football.... But he now seems to have no choice unless he leaves the blunts. And dont let pride put u off. Hes exactly the player leeds have not had and need MOT

It was all to do with money not the league as we had just been promoted to championship plus we tried in January too and he said no. He is greedy and now shef have gone down he is lookin for an escape to any club that comes in for him. Belive what you won't guys but I agree with the guy who posted this about him.

I know him personally and he turned us doen last season because we wouldn't pay enough. Now he has no choice - he is hoping to go to QPR really but chances slim as he's def not prem standard.

Personally dont think he is the answer anyway we need energy in the centre why not give Clayton a chance hes young full of energy and will be wanting to prove he is good enough not like Montgomery who is coming to the twilight of his career.Remember all the young players in squad under o leary they did us proud

If Clayton was better then Kilkenny or Johnson then he would of played last season

I know Nick very well.

Leeds offered him 2k a week and he was on ten.

Does anyone think david goodwillie, from dundee would be a good signing? got good potential and dont think he would be that expensive would he? {Ed015's Note - heard he was in talks with rangers}

Dundee want 2 mill for him. Their manager, Houston I think, wants him to move to England rather than Rangers. Cardiff have already bid for him or are willing to pay the money. He is a striker though but he is only 22. Do we really need any more strikers? I'll be happy to see a LB, some CM's and a couple of CB's. MOT In Grayson we trust {Ed007's Note - He has a lot of legal problems at the moment as well, a move down south would suit him better than a move to the goldfish bowl of Glasgow}

Either Goodwillie follows trouble or trouble follows him. We don't need another Bowyer/Woodgate/Duberry debacle.

Bates got us out of the sh*t we were in, but enuff is enuff. Time to also go Grayson, Paytner last yr, what were you thinking about....Somma is the man. We need a strong mid and a complete new back 4, and as for the Schmicheal, I will never understand that..To all Leeds fans, last yr, we were one of the highest earning clubs..remember, our debts have gone, so whats the prob I would even go as far as to say, bring back O'Leary into football and lets get our youngsters playing again..

Owen hargreaves he's more injury prone than johnny woodgate and as for being out of debt that's fair enough but it doesn't mean we have to go mad and put us back into debt.

Bridge is on £90K a week. Why would Citeh want to subsidise anyone to that extent and why would Bridge want to play in the Chammpionship when he can quite clearly handle the level above. He ain't from Leeds and doesn't support them, unlike Bellamy and his sheep 'love in'.

What's happening with Alan Smith? It appears Grayson is still sort of interested but what about Smith/Newcastle?

Bridge is likely to go to the Toon according to reports, and Vela is being chased by some prem and spl teams who can offer CL.

Apart from Vela and Bridge, this has been the most accurate and realistic list of targets I've seen so far on the site

As an older Leeds fan Im fed up with all this speculation. Where is the loyalty and love for the club? Gone are the days when you could name your starting eleven from back to front, plus your subs Premodonas the lot of them now a days

Why a striker. And sharp turned us down last year he is only a small team player

Woodgate would be on a pay as you play deal not a contract

Don't think delph will be going on loan anytime soon, with a new manager coming in you would think he would want to have a good look at his squad before he decides what players will be going on loan. So if he is going somewhere I would think it would be nearer to the end of the transfer window.

Dont think bates would even stretch to paying £3m even if it meant getting messi

Leicester hope they go down trying to bat above their weight, that Sven is an idiot.

I can seriously see them crashing and burning. Remember, last season their defence was just as bad if not worse than ours. Splashing the cash and signing every player under the sun is not a grantee of success. Don't rate Sven at all as well. Clueless at best.

I would let becchio go rather than snoddy and gradel. McCormack with Nunez or Somma will still score goals. But hold out for at least 5mill. Old Becchio will never do it in prem to slow

If we tried to squeeze about 4-5 mill out that'd make good business sense tbh. we could easily bring someone in for 1/3 that price and still have money left over to fund other things (wages for the free agents). whats gone on with matthew upson? any ideas? would be a good signing for the backline

Disagree becchio will score goals doesnt need pace he s a hard worker never stops we should sell snoddy 1 trick pony only gets 20% of his crosses over, hardly ever gets corners past the first man, ever now and then he looks good when he goes on a mazey run but thats once a flood and usually runs the ball out of play because he s ball greedy and doesnt release the ball 5mil would be day light robbery please some body buy him

I don't think we're in a position to say no to any offer in the region of 5mil, no matter what player. Hopefully we won't receive such a bid for Becchio. :(

Dougie Freedman is talking to Patrick Kisnorbo after being let go by Leeds.

Not been let go, has been offered a short term contract to prove his fitness with the guarantee of a new contract if he does prove his fitness. Palace are offering him a straight deal, so Paddy may go for the security, would prefer if he showed a bit of loyalty to the club that nursed him back from a serious injury, but footballers now-a-days don't know what loyalty is

Yeah gudjohnsen 'only' being good for a role in midfield is a real problem as we're over flowing with midfielders at the moment

morning ed, as a leeds fan and loyal one for over 20 years i have to say even though im as disapointed as the rest of our faithful at the lack of information coming out of elland road about transfers, or lack of signings so far, BUT... i cant help feeling its a bit like groundhog day... every pre season since our days in the premiership we have done our transfer dealings on the quiet, and have been pleasently suprised with the majority of them with the exception of bessone and maybe the attitude of grella refusing to go on loan at times, so maybe sg has got a few suprises up his sleeve, like the kasper signing last season, andy o'b, i understand we have high expectations because of who we are and our recent promotion and only just missing out last season, but we have to wait until we have our squad in place ready for the season, get behind the lads who want to wear the white shirt with the pride it deserves and give the lads our support as we ALWAYS DO IN OUR NUMBERS and get us over that line to the premiership again. leeds4life
