I don't know about you lads but im sick of are EX players on the Bates payroll, chatting s==t. Lorimer used to speak the truth but now he spends more time sucking up to every thing Bates says. I wouldn't mind if for once lorimer came out and said, I don't agree. Then theres Grey on the radio, pu==y footing around any questions on whats going on with anything relateing to Bates, selling players or the club.
Thats why Bates brought them in because he knew they were legends. Thinking i will get these to back me all the way and the fans will just follow suit.
They were great players but s==t liars.
service crew!

Believable47 Unbelievable11

Well put mate, someone need to point out are explayers have sold us out.
sad times!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard to take you seriously when you've signed your name 'service crew' .. A bunch of hooligans who couldn't care less about our great football club but taint our name by using it as an excuse to have a fight

'C'

Agree0 Disagree0

What's anything Bates does got to do with them? I don't blame them for not saying anything because why would they want to get involved in club politics?

Agree0 Disagree0

Respect for Norman Hunter, never been a supporter of Bates and got banned from ER at one point for badmouthing.

Agree0 Disagree0

When, and only when you have shown the loyalty and commitment to Leeds United that either Eddie Gray or Peter Lorimer have will you have the right to call them names ... you don't have to agree with them, but there's no doubting their commitment, and they too are allowed to have, and express their opinions.

Lorimer speak the truth? Lol.

I know Eddie personally and asked him about the take over recently. He knows nothing other than the same rumours we all spout. He says the only person who knows is Bates and he won't share with anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Atleast they got things done, instead of bickering amongst themselfs.

the proposed new owners have put a 5m deposit down, ken Wont sign the indemnity forms and the new owners knowing ken only too well, also want the warranties insured, which ken should pay for, but he refuses at the moment, no suprise there, the proposed new owners want there deposit back and he says they can't as he has spent some of it on players, if ken doesn't sign they will sue him for the moneyback.

Believable22 Unbelievable30

Another court case for Bates to lose us x million pounds - the man is a bad joke and needs to be banned from using football as a vehicle for his dodgy deals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Entirely believable, even if its made up.

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd not be surprised if KB was banking that 5m for as long as possible in a high interest off-shore account, just so as to ensure he can make a few quid on the side if takeover collapses due to his dicking about. Of course, a prolonged court case is right up his street, and would earn him even more interest on that alleged deposit. Win win for Ken; lose lose for us fans

Agree0 Disagree1

And you got this information from where? is there a real source of info about the takeover after all this time? or are you just making it up like many before you? would be great to know whats realy happening

Agree0 Disagree1

I was thinking this the other day. Though if it's true, that would essentially be theft.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am absolutely sick of this drawn out business.only at our club could it be like this.i have no doubt mr.bates will spin it out and if necessary send us into admin.why can't he just cash in now and go?why? because he can't help his own greed!if these people back out, he will be able to blame them, greedy, corrupt, twisted, horrible man!

Agree0 Disagree0

We wouldn't get anywhere near the interest to cover the costs of a lengthy court case. So what would be the point.

All that is happening bates is holding out for the best deal he can like we all would and new owners are doing the same so only time will tell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster please do your maths. no additional money has been spent by anyone. the money thats come in is more than we have spent. no one has spent any additional money bates orthe imaginery new people.

Agree0 Disagree0

The deposit would be put in a neutral bank account, like the lawyers. So something like this could not happen, surely?

Just been on 'News Now Leeds United' and there's an article on there linking us with a loan move for Ipswich's Luke Hyam. He's a 20 year old midfielder and is apparently only on £650 a week and their lowest earner. It also sounds like he can play a bit too and is fairly fast. I'm not saying we should get him but i think it's the first real rumour linking us with someone in the loan market.

BURLEYwhite

Believable10 Unbelievable34

If he cant get in the Ipswich side, then I cant see him getting in ours?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we need anotrher midfielder who cant get in his own championship side? milky

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock has said that he is waiting for the prem teams to name their squads and then look to pick up a couple of players who do not figure. We do not need a 20 year old who cannot get in a poor Ipswich team

Alex Buzacky to sign a 2 year deal this week!

Believable10 Unbelievable35

Doubt we can afford his wages atm. Plus it's Akos not Alex.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh right who is he then? Not heard of alex before

Agree0 Disagree0

Akos Buszaky*

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't even put diouf on a long term contract so i don't see how we can put him on one {Ed003's Note - That's good though isn't it}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wether its akos or alex we wont be sighning him or anyomne else in the near future we dont have money to pay wages never mind signing on fee

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great if we did really liked him at qpr his long shots are great a much better nunez

It is make or break week for takeover a meeting is scheduled for talks between KB and owners over KB refusal to sign standard idemnity forms it is crunch time for our club

Believable38 Unbelievable22

Unfortunately the takeover will not happen. We're stuck with Bates til he pops his clogs. :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Kb is the owner so has he arranged to have a chat with himself? Hope so maybe it's a sign he,s lost his marbles, care home for ken!could be the way to get him out of ellend rd,start a care home for ken campaign..
Kella74

Agree1 Disagree0

As the first post sadly. He doesnt care if we remain in c'ship for evermore. Remeber when at chelsea how much he stated he hated leeds, a leopard doesnt change its spots,..he still hates us. My view is that takeover is now nothing more than a pipe dream for us fans. Bates just stringing all of us along. Wont go back to ER til he has gone. LLHB Bates out

Agree0 Disagree0

Well with the window now closed until January I guess there is no rush to get the takeover pushed through now.
PeteMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

3rd guy, bit of a hipocrit aren't you.
If ken bates is all about money and hating leeds then a) why would he not want to be in the PL with the lucrative new tv deal from next season b) not sell the club and make one hell of a profit and finally how does not going to matches help? Grow up you imbecile you should support your team no matter what.

@ comment4 ... yes there's still a rush, number one to say goodbye to Mr Bates and secondly there are still some class players out there who are unattached ... with a few shekels in his pocket, Neil Warnock could have a look.

I think we need to look at the bigger picture. Sure the team is fine at the moment, but if you get a couple of players injured then we're well and truly in the dogs doo dah. We will know around xmas time if we have the legs for promotion. But I for one would forsake promotion if it means progress in the form of getting shut of Bates for a brighter more secure future. I know alot of people will disagree. But this is my opinion.

Believable39 Unbelievable12

I think we can say we're secure with bates in charge, there's just no ambition to progress. Promotion is a key factor in shaping the future of our club. I agree we are very thin in numbers but with a bit of look i reckon we could have a chance through playoffs.

Agree1 Disagree0

Same could be said for most teams. We have Somma, Diouf, Becchio, McCormack, Austin, Green, Varney, ect Somma will be back October with a few signings we will do well let's see who we get after 25 man squads have been announced MOT

Cockney Whites

Agree0 Disagree0

Small squad can sometimes work in your favour as the only option is to have a settled team. Also offers chances to young players who would otherwise not get a look in often resulting in one or more players stepping up to the mark. Remember 'you never win anything with kids'? Keep the faith and keep fingers and toes crossed. We're doing ok at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see bates going till he decides he's ready, reckon he'd see the club to ruin b4 being pushed out. I'd rather forget bout him n concentrate on backing the manager n team, they need everyone behind them all the way.

Leeds to sign Emmanuel Frimpong on loan from Arsenal until January

Believable29 Unbelievable68

We don't need a centre mid on our limited budget...Having said that Frimpong and Austin as DMs would be a brutal combination! You've been Frimponged!

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter rubbish. He has done his acl and is out for ages yet.

Agree0 Disagree1

Where are his wages coming from according to warnock no money in the pot

Agree1 Disagree1

He tw {Ed003's Note - if you want to talk about twatter just log into it}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it happening to be honest. His loan to Wolves was too short (one game then injury), but i doubt he'll be loaned to a championship club, they'll want him playing in the prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was simply stating the source of my information "frimpong will be back in training in 3 weeks" rather than making a statement with no evidence. Ed, Rather than cutting out genuine helpful information to the original post why not filter out some of the total rubbish that does appear on this site? {Ed013's Note - If only you could see the rubbish that doesn't make it!}

Close source tells me that bates ain't selling until the end of the season. He wants to see where we will finish. If we go up he won't sell if we don't then he will sell his shares off. LUFC 4EVER.

Believable20 Unbelievable54

More likely he would sell if we got promoted as the value of the club would increase.

Warnock will not be using emergency loan window, when asked about it on radio yesterday his reply was don't hold your breath, could be a warning there.

Believable31 Unbelievable12

Dont know what radio u listen to but id change it if i was you, warnock clearly stated he will be using the loan market once prem clubs have registered their 25

Agree0 Disagree0

I listened to the radio and heard what the original poster said. What radio were you listening to? Warnock might just be playing it close to his chest though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard the same on Minster FM on the way home from the ground. He did say "Don't hold your breath"

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster is correct
warnock stated on minster fm after the game, "do not hold your breath" this could actually mean two things - he's had an initial look and found minimum or no options or he meant he'll now have a better look, but does not feel confident about the availability of quality players - there not in their respective team squads for a reason - they're not good enough, plus, they'll be expensive especially from the premiership.

Leeds to sign Dj Campbell and Shaun Wright Phillips after they have been left out of QPRs 25 man squad!

Both players Warnock signed for QPR!

Believable15 Unbelievable94

Dj Campbell signed for Bristol city

Agree1 Disagree0

Would be two very good signings if we could pull them off

Agree1 Disagree0

Would be nice but cant see it somehow

Agree0 Disagree0

Wright-phillips started against city yesterday so thats not guna happen

Agree1 Disagree0

Doubt SWP will come I think he will be amongst qpr 25

Agree1 Disagree0

Philips played yesterday.

Agree1 Disagree0

Campbell hasnt signed for anyone yet

Agree0 Disagree1

We have no money

Agree1 Disagree0

Theirs wages would exclude them from signing. SWP must be on £50k pw

Agree1 Disagree0

We cant afford wages or any fees.

wont happen

READ & BELIEVE :
was at game today lets just say could of gone either way, before game ma uncle was talking to my cousins x-manager at gildersome spurs he said he knew people who worked in officers at Leeds and said that the deal is ready to sign but the problem is that the owners want to build a 45,000 seater stadium on fullerton park but ken bates wants to own Elland road but the new owners want to knock it down after they are done so that is the sticking point, but trust me this is true

Believable12 Unbelievable85

Why build a new stadium when Lufc already have plans drawn up & approved for a new state of the art west stand & casino? no logic in it

Agree2 Disagree0

We dont own fullerton park council do ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Y would we knock down our sradium n spend million on a stadium only just bigger than ours ?!?!?
Bainesyboy

Agree2 Disagree0

Whats the point in building a new stadium just to add another 5000 seats ? I cant see it myself especially if their planning on moving it. dp

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would they knock down a 40,000 seater stadium just to build a 45,000 seater stadium? Besides, stick another tier onto the north, south and west stands, and ER could probably have a capacity of 55,000, so why not just do that?

Agree2 Disagree0

I think ma uncle & ma cousins need to speak with ma council & ma Town hall. Init - mush

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if they were wanting to go to the expense of building a new stadium then they would build one with a bigger capacity than 45000. That woud only be about 8000 more than the current capacity at Elland Road, seems like a lot of hassle to me. Also, even if you know someone who works in the offices at Leeds, I very much doubt they would be privvy to information regarding any takeover/investment talks that were taking place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why build a new stadium, cant even fill this one

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason we don't fill ER is that we"re in the Championship paying outrageous prices. We've got the fans, they're just royally annoyed.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ermmmmmmmmm atny you getting ahead of ya turn seing as elland road aint owned by leeds united mso how could new owners knock it down
milky

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we all know KB owns ER just that its tied up in red tape
